Chapter Three

~Ryder~

I was in study hall when I heard Xavier’s scream. I looked up and so did everyone else in the library. I look over at Jewels and she nods. I got up and so did Callum. We followed the scream and it traveled to behind the school inside the woods. We ran for about five minutes and I seen Xavier standing in front of a body tied to a vine and his head laying on the ground. I pulled Xavier away and Callum called 911. “They are going to think that you are doing this if you keep finding these bodies.” I informed Xavier. “I didn’t even know! I just heard like plants moving and I followed the noise. It leaded me here!” He shouts at me and pushes me away. A couple minutes went by and the cops arrived. I see Xavier’s uncle. He is a cop now? When did this happened? He looks at all of us. He talks to the other officers and walks back over to us. “Xavier, I’m not going to be able to save your ass all the time. They are going to start asking questions my ass is on the line here.” Jack pointed out. “I just followed what I heard and screamed.” Xavier points out. Jack nods and walks back to the officers. “You guys get out of here and get back to school.” Jack shouts and waves us off. We walked back through the woods and when we make it back to the school people are waiting to see a body come by. Everyone stared at us. Its Heavens Woods people, things happen that no one can explain here. Are you ok?” Asked Shay standing with Jeremy. Xavier nods. Riaan walks over to Callum and hugs him and Sutton and Logan walk over. “What happened?!” Sutton shouts at us. “Blame Xavier not me.” I said sarcastically. Xavier turns at me and shakes his head in doubt. He walks off with Logan, Shay and Jeremy. “Dick move.” Callum pats my shoulder and walks away. “What did I do?!” I shout at him. Sutton stares at me. “That was a dick move Ryder.” Sutton points out and walks off. Running after Callum. Well that I just great. Now I have no one here to talk to. Just because I was inconsiderate. How rude…. I began to think about Xavier. Wondering who he is going to pick. If it is me, I will be myself again. If it’s not me, then I guess I have to learn the fact that we are done and he can’t trust me anymore. This is going to be so hard to see him not with me. I love Xavier so much. And to see him with someone else is just unbearable.
