"Why Lynx?" Edge asked. He was really worried for her now.

"Because I want to." She smiled with tears in her eyes.

"...Human..." He whined softly.

"I know what I'm fighting for, Edge. Let me do it." She was firm.

"...Alright..." He said softly.

She walked towards him, carefully wiping away his tears.

"Edge, let's go and do something." She suggested.

"What would you like to do?" He asked.

"Well... I would like to try out that new sushi shop down the road." She held his hand.

"Human, why are you so confident?" He asked.

"It's just me, Pap. It's always been just me." She picked up a sashimi and put it in her mouth.

He nodded and tried the salmon sashimi. "Woah, this is actually pretty good!"

"You just need to find your sushi. That special sushi will be yours to keep for life." She explained, taking the tamago (egg) sushi.

"...You just..." He dropped his chopsticks.

"Pap?" She looked up at him.

"All this time... How could I have not realized it?" He stood up, surprising her.

"What-" she put her chopsticks down.

"I needed to find the right person!" He looked at her.

"What do you mean by that?" She asked.

"Lynx, don't you understand? I needed you this entire time!!" He was pretty overjoyed at this point.

"...No... I don't..." She shook her head.

"Lynx... You were meant to be my friend. You were supposed to be there to pull the reins when I went too far. You were the one who was supposed to change me! Don't you see? You're the sushi I needed to eat!"

She looked at him.

"Lynx... Please. This isn't a proposal or such. This is a request. Please be my friend and control me when I've gone too far. Please be the one who will teach me to change. Please be my salmon sushi!" He grinned at her.

"...Then... I'll do it. I'll make sure the wasabi don't make them cry." She purred, touching his foreskull with her forehead.
