Lynx's mercy was beyond that.

Edge never knew it, but she was too determined to stop there.

"Pap." She called.

"Human?" He looked at her.

She was holding a bottle of sauce in her hand and a mixer in the other. "Let's make a cake!"

Edge looked at her in surprise. "Why?"

"Because I was feeling like it." She scratched the back of her head. "Sorry."

Edge 'nyeh'ed. "Human! We shall make a cake! But not just any cake! A strawberry cake!!"

"Strawberry cake?" She sounded excited. Of course, her favorite cake is strawberry.

{Ding dong!}

"Who could that be?" Edge went to get the door.

"Wait! No!!" She tried to stop him...

But it was too late.

"!!!"

"!!!"

Edge was now face to face with Blueberry, and this wasn't going to be pretty. Not one bit.

"W- Red's brother?!" He stepped back. "What... What did you do to Lynxy?!"

Lynx stepped in between them. "Nothing, Blue. In fact, it's the other way around. It's what I did to him."

"What... Lynxy... You... You betrayed us?" Blue was in disbelief.

"I didn't betray you at all. All I did was give a chance to someone who needs it." She confessed.

"There is no way this guy deserves a second chance. Look what he did to Red!" He growled at her.

She nodded. "I know."

"Then how could you do this?!" He asked angrily.

"Because everyone deserves a second chance. Be it a Genocidal human or an abusive brother." She stated flatly.

"No! He does not deserve any chances! He hurt Red and did so many bad things to him! He gave him trauma, he made him broken, and Red can suffer panic attacks because of all he's done!!" Blue stamped his boot on the floor.

Lynx nodded. "It's true. He's done a lot of bad things."

"Then kick him out, Lynxy!!" Blue snarled.

She shook her head. "Even though he's done so many bad things, I know he deserves a second chance. Just like Matcha, just like Koko, just like Baga and Father-"

Blue slapped her face.

"You disgusting traitor." He spat at her.

She looked at him, but with Judgement in her eyes.

"Do not assume just because he's done so much bad, he can't do good." She said in a very quiet tone.

She then closed the door.

Edge looked at her. "Human... Human what was that? Why did you do that?"

She looked at him. "Because I chose the path of forgiveness. I chose the path of kindness. I chose the path of understanding. And even though no one else chooses this path, I will."

Edge looked at her pitifully as she cupped her red cheek.

He could see the hot tears pour down her face.
