Lynx huffed as she swung the door open. Blue looked at her with a 'What on earth has been happening' look. She placed the taco tortillas on the counter and sighed. "T-that was intense." Blue sighed. "Lynxy you know you can't run that fast. Even though your magic let's you do it, your body isn't strong enough to hold up." she giggled. "C'mon 'bro'." Blue looked at the tortillas and grabbed them. Lynx left the house to go back to hers.
"Ah, Human! There you are!" Edge stopped stirring the pot and placed it on the counter. "I made the pasta, nyeh heh heh!" Lynx sighed and sat down as Edge served up two dishes of pasta. She grabbed a fork and took a bite.
It actually tasted good!
She licked her lips and continued eating. Edge smiled at her. Finally, a fan of his spaghetti! She finished eating pretty quickly, given how whacked up her digestive system was.
Edge was an inch from her when she looked up. He was leaning over the counter and his head on his hands, a happy smile on his face. "Would you like some more?"
She wanted to say yes, but she doubted she could take a lot in one time, so she shook her head. Edge frowned and stood up straight. "OK then Human." he sat down and ate his own spaghetti. This was so good!
He finished eating and went to wash the plates. His mind couldn't erase Sans.
Sans...
She went upstairs and fetched a book. She was into comics and so on, and Marvel was pretty cool.
She sighed. Her brother loved to listen to her tell stories from Fluffy Bunny to Iron Man.
Kagerou...
Edge wondered where the girl went, so he walked around the house a bit. "Human? Huuuuumaaaaaaaan?"
She snapped up. "E- Papyrus?" she called. "Human are you upstairs?" Lynx stood up.
"I'm coming down!" she came downstairs and saw him covered in...something.
"Papyrus what is this?" she asked. "W-well, a good meal always comes with a dessert, and I guessed you like something milky because of your choice of cabonara sauce, so I made custard." she looked closely at the stuff on him. It did look that way.
She remembered Kagerou making custard once, for her birthday. He was covered in a lot of it, just like this.
"Bro... shh... it's Ok... you'll be fine... you're just going to take a nap... w-when you wake up, I'll be here..."
She gasped. Her eyes pricked with tears as the guilt came in.
Night after night, in her dreams, she'd been forced to kill her brother to prevent him from dying in an agonizing way. She learnt healing tricks from her foster family, and used one on him. She let him sleep first before slashing his head off or stabbing his heart with her own claws.
It never got any easier.
She sat on the steps as the memory gushed in. Edge looked at her.
"Human? Are you alright? Human?" he knelt down and cupped her face with his hands.
"Why do I have to do it...?" she whispered. Edge looked at her.
"Do what?" he asked.
She buried her face into his hand. "May I... do this?" Edge saw how pitiful she was, just like Sans.
"He needs others now. You weren't giving him what he needed, but others were, so he chose them over you."
He sighed and pulled her into a hug. "Alright, Human."
