One Day Of Peace
As the sun rose the next morning, Klaus wakes up with a small gasp as he had a horrible nightmare like the series of them he had in his imprisonment. The hybrid moves his head to the side seeing Lola sleeping peacefully her body bare along with his and a wave of relief washes over him. He props himself on his elbow and rests his head on her lips then places a long, sweet kiss on her cheek.
The hybrid get out of bed, getting dressed for the day and he stepped out of the room quietly, walking into the kitchen to see Cami reading over a book. Klaus eyebrow raises with curiosity and glances over to see what she was reading.
Cami was wearing a blue top with a jacket, a pant and some shoes.
"One thing I didn't miss about you was hovering. So Ambrose and Hayley with their daughter to their old apartment across the compound."Cami muttered and glanced at him with a small smile.
"Well, I surely didn't miss you being secretly. How have you been, Cami?" Klaus replied back and she chuckles, finally giving him a tight hug.
"I'm not searching all the cures for your family, that's for sure. Guess I don't know how to react to adults being under the roof I've been stuck with the kids. And when I wasn't, I spent time with my friends."Cami started off and shake her head.
"Yeah, well I'd imagine it must've been a splendid time having the chance to spend time with the children." Klaus smiled and Cami nodded in agreement, knowing he wants to know about them.
"Don't worry, Nik. They will be excited to see you. Although with Freya and Derek's daughter, Hope, it might to take a while. She's this little shy thing."Cami said.
Klaus smiled at the reassurance from Cami and he looked out the window to see the sun peering over the trees.
The Mikaelson siblings join together out on the porch for breakfast, some attempting to enjoy the peace while others are antsy about Marcel. Finn and Cami had joined them.
"What's the holdup? All right, we rescued Nik, we escaped mortal danger why are we not on a private jet to Saint-Tropez? You can catch up on the last five years when we're on our way... I can assure you haven't missed much." Kol asked as he looked at Elijah who reads a newspaper and he snatched it from his hands.
"Circumstances have changed we will leave here soon enough." Elijah says with annoyance.
"We have the children to consider." Finn spoke as Freya stands up from her chair.
"Kol has a point. We need to put an ocean between us and Marcel Gerard as soon as possible." Freya agreed with Kol and leaned against the porch railing.
"We're not going anywhere today. I want one day of peace with my children. Before we uproot them." Klaus as he turned from staring out at the field in front of the home.
"Any delay is a risk." Freya stated.
"One day. We're in the middle of nowhere, the house is cloaked. We weren't followed, and I'm not asking!" Klaus raises his voice just as the front door opened.
Walking out first is Gia and Derek with Hope, and behind them are Lola and Liv were walking out with Olivia, Lucas and Emma.
Lola was wearing a T-shirt with a red leather jacket, a jean and some boots.
Liv was wearing a T-shirt with a leather jacket, a jean and some boots.
Gia was wearing a top with a jacket, a jean and some boots.
The Mikaelsons fall silent as they see the children are now outside and for the siblings, it's their first time seeing them up and moving.
"Everybody, look who's awake."Gia smiled at everyone as the children looked at them shyly.
"Hello." Hope muttered, shyly being the children to actually to say something.
"Hello." Freya softened.
Hope looked away from the garden and up her father and asked "Dad, can I play in the garden?"
"Yeah. Sure." Derek replied and places a kiss on her head.
Hope ran off the porch and down the stairs and made her way toward the garden. Olivia, Lucas and Emma looked at Klaus.
"Hi." They said in sync.
"Hello." Klaus smiled.
"Mom told us you like to paint." Olivia told him.
"I do. Very much." Klaus said.
"Would you like us to paint with us?" Emma asked.
"Sure." Klaus agreed and they left to the garden to paint.
Later on, The sun had set, and Lola, Gia and Derek put the kids to bed. Rebekah decided to leave so she say goodbye to them.
Once Lola made sure her children were asleep and all good for their bedtime routine, she followed the light down to the garden where Klaus had set up a while area for their date and she saw that he created a romantic dining table for them as she headed down to him and he bagn to light the candles that were around the area making her smile at the amount of effort that he had put into this one thing for her as she stood for a moment, he then turned around to see her standing then staring at him and he gave her smile before speaking. Lola was now a cute short black dress with some heels.
"Were they asleep?" Klaus asked.
"They are now, they were too excited by your stories and your day together that they just had to fill me in." Lola told him.
"Well, they're amazing. " Klaus smiled.
"Expecting company?" Lola asked, gesturing to the very romantic scene around them.
"Yeah. She should be here any second. I think you're gonna like her. Come here." Klaus smiled as he walked towards to her as he gently pulled her toward him as he pulled into a sweet and gentle kiss.
"You okay?" Lola asked.
"More than okay. I'm aware that we've through a lot of the last five years and before you ask, we may not totally be the people we used to be but I love you and ntohing could ever change that." Klaus told her, knowing that there was nothing she could say or so that could change his love for her.
"I love you, too." Lola smiled as they kissed and then it began to lead to something different, helping them reconnect again on a different level.
Eventually they took their reconnecting to the bedroom that Lola had always imagined would become theirs again as they once again show how much they loved each other and how much they missed other as they began to take their time together. And as they explored each other's bodies before falling asleep tangled up soon, in the fire.
Later on, they woke up in bed. Lola told her husband "So Hayley and Ambrose texted me. They're having a wedding in Chicago. So I thought maybe we could go. And then I know Bonnie is right in England, and I was thinking going with the kids, it might be cool. We could go to London or whatever city you like in that country..."
"That would be nice. It's been a while since the last time I set foot in that country."Klaus said.
Lola smiled.
