The next day, Kiara overlooked the inside balcony and down into the courtyard, seeing it covered in tables and notice boards and human police. Klaus had compelled an enourmous amount of police to find Hayley.

He'd already gone around the witches, werewolves and vampires demanded they tell him if they took Hayley. They all said they hadn't so he demanded they find who did too.

It had been a day since they found Henry hanging dead in the streets. In that day, Klaus and Valerie had gone to France to get Elijah's help in finding Hayley. He'd only just returned this morning, along with the police and Valerie but no Elijah.

Kiara's head turned to the right when she felt him stand there. She turned towards him and asked "What happened when you saw Elijah in France?"

Kiara was wearing a sweater with a leather jacket, a jean and some boots.

"Nothing. He wasn't there."Klaus responded.

"It's where he's been for the past seven years. Did he just get up and leave? Or are you lieing to me?" Kiara stated.

Kiara then sighed "He didn't want to come, did he?"

"How are our children?" Klaus asked, trying to change the subject.

"Good. They're good. I'm gonna take the twins and Emma back to school today. While we're there, I'm gonna check on Andrea. Freya's coming with us. You gonna be okay, here?" Kiara told him.

"Yes."Klaus said.

Some time later, Kiara, and Freya walked behind Olivia, Lucas, Emma and Hope, who were lugging their duffel bags down the hallway of the Bennett Academy. Freya also brought her son Nikolai who was still young so he didn't go to the academy yet. But Nikolai couldn't wait until he'll be able to go.

Kiara help help her children in their shared dorm room at the school.

Freya did the same with Hope. She then went to find Hope.

Kiara was with her children when her phone rang and she answered it seeing it was Klaus.

"Hey. Before you ask, we're fine. Olivia, Lucas and Emma are just settling back in, while Freya's having some time with Andrea. Have you found any leads on Hayley?" Kiara responded.

"We found an address and with the help of Marcellus, Kol and Ambrose, we inspected the house. I could smell her scent and there was wolfsbane and vervain splatted around the area but she wasn't there, nobody was."Klaus told her.

"What else, Nik?" Kiara asked.

"There was... writing on the wall. Freak filth crossbreed."Klaus responded.

"Oh god."Kiara said.

"So, being the devilish leader I am. I've a hold of one member of each faction in hopes that their so-called leaders listen and hand Hayley, or atleast some information, over." Klaus continued.

"Nik. You can't keep them captive. They already told you they don't know anything. And they know if they lie to you, you wouldn't hesitate to place their head on the pointest spike in New Orleans." Kiara sighed.

"I miss you."Klaus chuckled.

"I miss you, too. But there's other ways to get answers."Kiara told him.

"We're running out of time."Klaus responded.

Before Kiara could respond, a voice shouted in the background "Kiara!"

Kiara recognised the voice and asked "Is that Josh?"

"Possibly..."Klaus responded, almost child-like.

"Did it not sink in all those years ago when I told you never to touch Josh? So let him and the others go. We'll find Hayley, but it won't involve killing the innocent."Kiara frowned.

"I'm sorry, love. For now, it's the only option. I won't pluck a hair on Josh's head if everyone complies and brings Hayley to us. If not..." Klaus told her.

"If not, the minute I get back to New Orleans, I'll put your head on a spike." Kiara cut him off.

"You are incredibly romantic."Klaus smiled.

She then hang up.

Later on, Kiara headed back to the compound. Kiara was sleeping in bed now but was awoke when Klaus sighed in desperation.

"Hey, what is going on?" Kiara asked, sitting up a little straighter in bed so that she could get a better look at him as she became worried that something had happened.

"I threw the box they send me at the wall and this fell out."Klaus said handing her the coin.

"An old Germany coin? Wait do you know who did this?" Kiara asked.

"It's a message... from enemies I thought I buried long, long ago."Klaus told her as he prepared to tell her everything.
