Dancing Lines.

She noticed he was a lot more active after the water bucket entered his room. He would calmly practice his abilities before coming down to help her around the place. He never really got angry except when she tried to ask him about his past. He shied away from the question before escaping upstairs, slamming his door. She stayed quiet, concerned how an innocent question got him peeved.

He didn't leave his room until the following day when he calmed down. She didn't dare to raise the talk from the previous day since he seemed at peace. Instead, she merely worked in silence until he rejoined her in the kitchen to help. Then she spoke.

"How'd you sleep?"

"Ok."

"Hm."

He finally approached her in her office while she was scribing some new spells into her spell book and was researching a skill. She heard him before he knocked, but she let him knock to not spook him. Upon hearing the soft noise, she hummed.

"Enter." She merely closed her research, continuing her scribing. He entered as she flipped to the next spell. "Hey."

"Hm." She purred at his soft response before starting the scribing of the next spell.

"Anything you need?"

"What are you hiding?" Oh, such a brave question. Then again, she was scribing a Warlock spell and had a 'Techniques of Ranger Weaponry' book sitting on her desk. She glanced at him as she subconsciously finished the scribing.

"What do you mean?" She was rather curious about what gave him the idea of her hiding something. He hummed as she went to the next spell.

"Well... for starters, you claim to be a cleric, when the going gets rough, you shift into a violent class." She masked her chuckles with a deep hum. "You also are always ready to take the front lines when clerics are trained for the back." She smiled as he seemed to study the spells she was scribing. "Then there's this..." She finally chuckled very softly as he frowned. "Those aren't-"

"No. They're not cleric spells. I believe the next one might be one." He glanced at her as she flipped the page and frowned. "Darn... I still can never predict this... oh well." She then smiled at him. "I wasn't going to hide it from you, but you looked frightened and on edge." He hummed as he looked over the books.

"So... what is it that you're hiding?" She smiled as she put her pencil down. She pulled herself over to a small desk in the corner and grabbed a small folder. She brought it back over before pulling out a paper and showing it to him. She expected the reaction; him dropping the paper and giving a shaky breath. She stood up and took his hands as he paused.

"Shh..."

"Why hide that?" She smiled softly.

"You were terrified of something. I decided to keep anything that would trigger a panic attack. One of the first days you were here, another part of the Prophecy reached out." He looked horrified. "I won't say what was said, but I promised them I would take care of you. You needed the assistance and they were worried about you. I'm just doing what I need to do to give you a better life." Lapis looked away as she smiled. "I know you had a bad time with the other parts, but I am doing everything in my power to let you see that it's not the end of the world and you can enjoy life." She smiled. "I know you are a member of the Go Family, but you shouldn't have to hide because you're a threat." He paused before pulling his hands away.

"I- don't-" She paused as he turned away. "I don't need help- My life will always be a hell pit." She raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah? But it shouldn't. Lapis, I know your siblings." He turned to her. "They aren't too different from you. They are holding their heads down, trying to hide from their fate as well. You guys shouldn't be in this life." Lapis's eyes were soft as he hummed softly. "If I have to shelter all of you, I will. I will drag all of you from the depths of hell in order to save you from this." There wasn't a sound from the Go Member as he looked at the ground.

"You don't need to- you have a duty-" She smiled.

"That duty is to assist in the protection of the people from the rulers that prove to be of destruction and possession. You should not be dealing with pain from someone who should be guiding their people to freedom and light." He stayed quiet as she went over to a bookcase and pulled out a book, which looked rather old. She went back to his side and held it out, gaining his attention. "Trust me or not. Not something I will mind either way. But if I can help you and your family regain their life, I will. This should help." He took it before pausing.

"What... is it?" She smiled.

"A book of ancient musical pieces." She grabbed a folder from the desk and opened it. "I've transcribed a few of them into group pieces for your family if you ever get the chance to be together. Your sister Aria asked me to look into it." He paused.

"You... spoke to Aria?" She nodded.

"I've also seen Garret." He looked up at her. "Sweet kid. None of you deserve this. He's got a room here, but he traveled out to another island for a time being." He hummed softly before she smiled. "Look through that. Maybe it'll help your musical prowess and magic." He hummed as he flipped through it.

"In the meantime... What are you going to do?" She smiled.

"Well... I have to finish scribing these spells and hope that the spell I've been searching for is in this next batch. If not, I have another level to climb to." He hummed as she purred. "Once I find the spell I'm looking for, I'm going at the leader. It's time he kneeled."
