Hope cried into Gally's shoulder harder and harder as the minutes went one. Gally felt tear prick his eyes and soon he felt hot tears down his face.

She sobbed out two words that shattered his heart. "I'm sorry."

"You don't need to be sorry. Just let it out. Remember our promise?"

Flashback

"You're not okay." Gally stated plainly.

"I'm fine, Gal." Hope tried to convince him. They had been going on about it for twenty minutes straight. Gally took a step toward her. "I can see it in your eyes."

Hope sighed. "Why  can my mask fool everyone, but you?"

Gally took her chin and made her look up at him. "Tell me everything."
She nodded and spilled how everything was bugging her, how much she hated those grievers, how they needed another girl, how she had to be strong for anyone or she'd be seen as weak.

He spoke after she was finished and was in tears. "Promise me one thing?"

"Anything."

"Act tough all you want to the other gladers. BE tough because that's just who you are. But don't forget at the end of the day that you can always come to me and tell me the truth."

"Promise." She whispered.

End of flash back

 "Hey you okay now?" Gally asked her once the sobs had died down. She nodded and took her head off of his shirt, but kept her hands on his arms.

"Why don't you tell me where you've been when your ready? For now let's get something to eat you look like your hungry." Gally said gently pulling her along. She stayed firm and he turned to see her smirking. She put her arms up in the air and Gally rolled his eyes, but nonetheless walked over to her and turned around. Within an instant she was on his back ready for her piggy back ride. "Hi-Ho Silver." Another eye roll.

They made their way to the Homestead where everyone had gone to have dinner. Gally opened the door with his leg and it swung open but the smile never left his face. As soon as he stepped in Hope let her hands off of his neck and yelled loudly, "The Party has arrived."

Within an instant the whole glade made his way over to the lost girl as she slid off of her boyfriends back. Newt and Minho were the first to tackle her into a hug. Newt was in tears as was Minho. They were the brothers she never had. Surprisingly Alby was next as he was like a father figure to her.

After that all of the gladers kind of just all did one big group hug.

Gally led her to "their" old table. Minho and Newt sat down across from the two talking and laughing about everything that Hope had missed over the year as Gally's hand found a place on her knee in a "In-a-I-cant-believe-your-back-and-never-letting-you-out-of-my-sight" kind of way. She turned and flashed him a smile that would have sent him to his name if he was standing. She placed her hand over Gally's and gave it a reassuring squeeze.

"Do you guys really want to know what happened?" She asked suddenly and the whole glade quieted down. Gally looked at her, rose an eyebrow and whispered, "Are you sure?" With only a nod in response she began telling them.

"I was trapped in a section of the maze. When a door opened up and of course I walked through it thinking it was the only way back to the glade. What I found was a running stream and woods as I went to turn around the door closed me in it. I  think WICKED did it on purpose. It didn't let me out for a year and when it did I was out of there in an instant. That was two weeks ago. Believe it or not I got lost with not being there for year and spent every minute try.ing to get back to Ga- you guys." she stated trying to hide the blush creeping up her face at the stumble.
