"There it is guys! That's the Alola region" I yelled at the others around me.

After we escaped Kanto, I wanted to travel to Alola so I could try and take on a new region. I couldn't go back to any other region, as most of the traitors had probably went back home to their regions. After all, I heard Alola had recently started to install a league of their own and I wanted to try to win myself.

"So that's it, huh? I didn't think it was this beautiful when I pictured it in my head." Brock exclaimed in awe.

"I agree. This region has it's own beautiful flavor that separates it from all the regions I have ever seen." Cilan said.

"Yeah. I wonder what Pokemon are there that we haven't seen before..." Gary trailed off for a second, as we started to land in a city next to a Pokemon Center.

"Let's go heal our Pokemon. They have to be tired after the fighting and flying." I proposed. Everyone agreed with me. As we walked into the Pokemon center, I noticed a man in a lab coat with a hat on grabbing a Pokeball and preparing to leave. As he was about to walk out, he eyed us with interest.

I read his aura, and it seemed like he meant no harm, so I didn't bother worrying about him. We walked up to Nurse Joy and gave her our Pokeballs. We sat down and waited for our Pokemon to heal.

"Haven't seen any of you around here before. Where are you all from?" I turn around and I saw the same man that was watching us earlier. Once again, I read his aura and sensed nothing alarming about the man. I decided to start off honest.

"Oh, we are all from different places, but we came here from Kanto. Who are you?" I asked politely.

"My name is Kukui, and I am the Pokemon professor from Alola. It's nice to meet you all. Now what are your names?"

"My name is Ash."

"I'm Brock."

"My name's Gary Oak. Nice to meet you."

"I'm Bonnie."

"And I am Cilan. It's a pleasure to meet you professor."

He laughed. "Well it's nice to meet some new faces. Do you all want to come by my lab after your Pokemon heal?"

I looked at the others and saw no objection. "We would love to."

After we received our Pokemon, we walked out and followed Kukui to his lab on the outskirts of the city. Along the way, we asked Kukui to tell us more about the islands.

"Well for starters, there are 4 islands. Melemele, which is the one we are on, Akala, Ula Ula, and Poni. There are no Pokemon Gyms like in Kanto, but we have something of our own. We call it the Island Trial Challenge.

"Island Trial Challenge? What is that?" I asked, listening intently.

"It's basically the Alola regions Rite of Passage. You must go from island to island and complete those islands set of trials. Once you complete all the trials set by each captain, you must take on the Grand Trial that is set by the Island Kahuna." He explained.

"You will find out that our normal trials don't feature heavy amounts of battling. However, those trials have what we call Totem Pokemon. They are bigger and more powerful than the average wild form of that Pokemon. You must defeat them to complete the trial. As for the Grand Trials, you just need to defeat each islands Kahuna in a Pokemon battle."

I was shocked at how different this was going to be, but I felt ready. "Ok. That settles it. I am going to take on the Island Trial Challenge myself."

"You seem strong enough to attempt it. I look forward to when you start." Kukui said smiling.

"Ash, do you think I can try to take it on also?" Bonnie asked with hopeful eyes.

"Well if you are talking about age limit, we don't have a big limit on when when you can get your starter. You look old enough from my perspective, so you can join him as well." Kukui told her.

"Yaaaay!" She shrieked.

"Well, here it is. Welcome to my lab."
Kukui gestured to the building next to him and I sweatdropped. The lab looked like it went through 20 hailstorms and had been patched up after each one. The roof was patched, there were chips off the wooden railing and much more.

As we walked inside, I didn't see much of a lab to begin with. The place looked like a normal home to me when we walked in. I saw a ladder up to a loft, and stairs that descended downwards. After we walked downstairs, I saw many computers as well as bookshelves. He had a large aquarium that extended between each floor, and a huge monitor that looked like it had detailed information on certain Pokemon moves.

As Gary began to ask the professor what he researched, I got curious and climbed up the loft. As soon as I got to the top, I saw a girl in all white clothing with pale skin and blonde hair reading a book. She had what looked like a white Vulpux next to her, and I wanted to see it up close.

As I stepped up, she only just noticed me and jumped and screamed for a second.

"I am so sorry. I didn't mean to scare you. I was curious and I wanted to see what was up here." I apologized and stuck out my hand to pick her up.

She glared at me, but then saw my hand and grabbed it. I pulled her up and gave her back her big, white hat.

"Thank you for helping me. I accept your apology." She said with a slight blush. I also noticed Pikachu and the odd looking Vulpix were becoming well acquainted with each other. They started to chase each other around.

"Well they are hitting it off nicely." I said smiling.

"Ash, what happened up there?" I heard Cilan yell up from the bottom of the ladder.

"Nothing bad. I'm coming down now." I say as I go to the ladder with the girl right behind me.

We climb down and everyone walks up to us.

"Well, I see you met my assistant, Lillie already. Why don't you properly introduce yourself Lillie?" Professor says laughing.

She picks up the Vulpix and turns toward all of us. "Nice to meet all of you. My Name is Lillie. This is Snowy, my Vulpix."

Gary looks in awe. "I have never seen a pure white Vulpix before! Why is it like that?"

"In Alola, we have different forms of certain Pokemon that are only found here in our region. We call them Alolan Pokemon. Vulpix are normally pure Fire types before and after their evolution. However, in Alola, Vulpix are Ice and Fairy types." Kukui explained.

"That's amazing. I can't wait to study them myself." Gary said excitedly.

Kukui laughed once again and then looked at Bonnie and I. "Well do you two want to go get started on your adventure?"

We nodded excitedly. "I am definitely ready!" I said with a big grin.

"Well in order to do that, we must go get your starter Pokemon. We meet to go to Iki town for that and talk to the Kahuna."

We all traveled to Iki town along Route 1 and waited for the Kahuna to show up. After a bit I noticed Lillie's bag was moving. She suddenly got nervous.

"S-sorry, but I have to do something real quick. I will be back in a bit." She said as she took off.

"Well if she is doing something, then we might as well look for Kahuna Hala. Let's split up and go look for him." Kukui proposed.

We all left our spot to go find him and meet back up in a bit. Pikachu and I walked to this clearing near the edge of the village and decided to go down it.

As we were walking I saw Lillie up ahead, and she was talking to... her bag?

"Are you sure about this? I don't know if the bridge is too stable." She asked. I then heard a weird cry and she nodded. After that I followed her to a bridge, and saw a really weird Pokemon appear out of her bag.

The Pokemon floated to the bridge center and stood there for a moment. Then I saw some Spearow come up and begin attacking it. Lillie cried out to the pokemon. She looked to shocked to move so I decided to do something.

"Pikachu, stay here." I set the mouse Pokemon down as I dashed across the unstable bridge. I attempted to grab the blue colored Pokemon, but I couldn't reach.

A Spearow flew down with a Peck, and without thinking I covered the Pokemon, protecting us from getting hurt with my aura.

I saw that the odd Pokemon was glowing blue. Then before I could process anything, he sent out a pulse that broke the bridge below us. I could hear Lillie cry out to both of us as we fell.

I couldn't reach a Pokeball from my belt. We kept falling closer and closer to the water below. I thought this was the end for me. I thought that maybe the traitors were right. Maybe I am too weak.

Suddenly, an orange and yellow Pokemon caught both of us and flew us back to Lillie and Pikachu. As he set us down, he stared at me, and gave me a weird bracelet. As soon as he gave me the item, he took off.

After he left, Lillie and Pikachu ran up to me and the other Pokemon. She grabbed the other Pokemon and looked at it with a mean glare.

"Nebby! This is why I don't let you out of the bag so often. This is what I meant when I said that something could try and attack you. Please don't do that again." She said hugging the Pokemon with tears forming on her cheeks. She placed the Pokemon back into her bag.

As I stood up with Pikachu climbing onto my shoulder again, when suddenly I feel arms wrap around me. I saw Lillie was giving me a hug.

"Ash, thank you so much. I don't know what I would've done if you didn't come and save Nebby." She said with tears flowing.

"Don't worry Lillie. You should be thanking that other Pokemon. He saved both of us. Who was he anyways?" I asked.

She let go. "That was the Island guardian, Tapu Koko. He protects the people of Melemele island."

"Awesome..." I said in awe.

"Well let's go back and get your starter from Kahuna Hala." She said.

We walked back to the village to find everyone else waiting on us.

A white haired man walked up to me. "Ah, you must be Ash. I am Kahuna Hala. It's time to pick your starter Pokemon."

He tossed out 3 Pokemon. "Thes pokemon are called Litten, Rowlet, and Popplio. Who do you choose?"

After a moment, I chose. " I choose Rowlet."

He looked at Bonnie. "And who do you choose?"

Bonnie answered instantly. "I choose Popplio."

Hala nodded. "Does anyone want Litten as well?"

Surprisingly, Gary stepped forward. "I'll take Litten. I am curious about what I read on him earlier."

Bonnie grabbed my wrist. "Hey Ash. Do you want to battle?"

I looked at her and smiled. "I would love to."

We stepped onto the battlefield next to us and started the battle with our new partners.

"Ok Popplio, let's battle!"

"Let's do this Rowlet!"

Another one. Lol. I have like nothing to do since I am getting rained out today so I thought why not? Hope you guys enjoyed this also. I could've shortened it, but I wanted to get this part out of the way since most of us know what happens in the game. I will not be doing Ash's trials and stuff for that particular reason as it would be boring to go over what we already know. I hope you all understand.
