The next morning, Jo checks her phone, while she sleepily walks over to the bathroom. She is awake in an instant, when she sees a message from Pierre. She opens it and stares at her screen with a big smile on her face. Dart walks into the bathroom and says: "Who makes you smile like that?" 

Jo looks at him and says: "You!" He raises his eyebrow and Jo shows him the art Pierre created. They look at it together: His signature smile, a wink and flexing his muscles, only wearing shorts. It's perfect! And even the drawing makes her heart skip a beat. Pierre has the talent to capture someone's character in a picture. 

Dart says: "That is not bad at all. I like it!" 

Jo says: "I love it! Pierre sure is a magician with a pencil. Everyone looking at it will know it's you. There's no doubt about it. And oddly enough it stirs me." 

Dart says: "Oh really?" Jo nods and stares at the picture some more. Dart pushes her chin up and says: "It better not stir you more than the real thing." 

Jo smiles at him and says: "Impossible. Nothing stirs me like you do." 

She kisses him slowly and when they break the kiss Dart says: "We better shower together or we'll be late for work." 

Jo laughs and mumbles: "Like showering together makes things faster." But they manage to behave as much as possible and end up walking out the door on time. They kiss passionately, before they both have to go their separate ways.

Jo walks into the cafe, when Maria is about to walk out. They hug and wish each other a good day. Jake watches them from behind the bar with a smile. "Morning big brother." Jo hugs him warmly and he kisses her head. 

"Morning little sis." The cafe gets busy quick and Jo ends up running around with Jake, serving the guests. People still bring magazines for her to sign or want to take a selfie with her. The second the last breakfast guest leaves, Jo collapses on a stool. Jake says: "That was a tough one. Coffee!" They sip their coffee in silence, when Jo sees the newspaper on the bar. It's laying there open, the picture of her in the pink dress and Dart kneeling before her in Maria's boutique, spread out over two pages. 

Jo stares at it and mumbles: "It al feels so surreal sometimes. I wish I had time to stand still and let it sink in." 

Jake says: "Look at the eyes of that man, kneeling before you. That is pure love Jo, there's no one in this world who loves you more. See it, believe it. Now look at the gorgeous woman in the picture. Look at her eyes and it's obvious she feels the exact same way about him." Jo smiles and nods. Jake goes on: "The guy had a home here, but only was there a few hours at a time. He sleeps in that house every night now and looks happier than he has ever looked. And he even had the guts to start a club to honor you. Knowing all the guys in the club love you too." 

Jo laughs and says: "I still can't believe he did that." 

Jake says: "He has realized you are too special to keep to himself all the time. And that it's not fair to you, because you need to share your love to be happy. It's the main reason why he fell in love with you." 

Jo blushes and mumbles: "Stop it Jake! I am going to be blushing all day." 

Jake chuckles and says: "Start believing it is all true and I won't have to make you blush about it any more." 

Jo shakes her head and rolls her eyes, before saying: "I'll try." Jo's phone rings and she picks it up when she sees it's Maria. Maria tells her that both Shaun and Nikki will be coming to work in the afternoon and asks if Jo can come over to help her. Jo turns to Jake to ask him and all he does is nod. He apparently knew all about it already. Jo promises to come over as soon as she can. Jake smiles at her refilling her cup of coffee. 

Jo turns around when she hears someone walk in and sees it's Shaun. Shaun smiles at her and she smiles back. "Hey Shaun." 

Shaun says: "Hello hottie." 

Jo chuckles and says: "I'm betting this is not the last time you will say this. Preferably when my future husband is around." 

Shaun laughs and says: "You're quick this morning. Exactly my plan." He sticks out his tongue and walks into the kitchen to get ready for work. 

Jake nods and says: "Go on. Go see Maria. We will be fine here." 

Jo runs out and yells: "Byeeee brother!" 

Maria is waiting outside for her and waves at her. "Hey pretty girl, we're going to meet someone first and talk some things through." Jo looks a bit confused and Maria says: "We're meeting Shaun's dad. To talk about Shaun living above the boutique. And apparently all Shaun talks about is you, so his dad asked me to bring you with me." 

Jo stares at Maria for a second and then says: "Okay. Let's go." They arrive at a small family home and Jo stands still to look at it. She has always been fond of small houses and this one looks very cozy. They knock on the door and when the door opens, Jo can't help but stare awkwardly. 

Shaun's dad grins at her and says: "Judging by the look on your face, there's no need to introduce myself." 

Jo smiles at him and says: "Sorry for staring. But your son looks so much like you that it threw me for a loop. I'm Jo." 

The man nods and says: "I know who you are. My son adores you. I'm Adam. It's really nice to meet you." He shakes hands with Maria and invites them in to the kitchen. Jo sits down at the table and immediately feels at home. Adam tells them about raising Shaun on his own and how hard it was. But that he tried his best to teach him to respect women and treat them right. 

Jo smiles and says: "You did a very fine job. Shaun is an example for guys his age." 

Adam smiles wide and says: "Thank you for saying that. He might be a bit too honest sometimes though. I'm pretty sure he told you how he feels about you." 

Jo laughs and says: "He did. But he was so honest about it, that I can't have a problem with it. He's a hard working, kind, young man. So all I can be is flattered when someone like him honestly tells me about his feelings."

Adam leans back in his chair and says: "I didn't quite believe you Maria, but I do now." Jo looks at Maria, who is sitting there with a big smile. She looks at Adam again and he says: "I thought Shaun spoke so highly of you, because he had a crush on you. But then I spoke to Maria and she basically told me the same positive things about you. So I asked her to bring you here. I wanted to see for myself." 

Jo blushes slightly and says: "I can only imagine how you felt about me at first. And what do you think of me now?" 

Adam looks into her eyes and says: "I had very unkind thoughts about you at first. Thinking you were playing with my son or something. But Shaun explained that it was all him and then Maria told me some wonderful things about you, mostly about your character. And I recognize a strong, kind woman when I see one." He smiles at her, before he continues. 

"Shaun also told me about how you solved the situation with that friend of his. What impressed me the most was not the fact that you forced him out of the bar, but what you said to the young men left in the cafe. That is exactly what boys that age should hear. And then 'rewarding' Shaun for his decent behavior towards you... Rewarding him with something he can show off to his friends, makes it so much more valuable. It was like you placed the cherry on top of the work I did raising him. He thanked me for teaching him how to treat women right, when he came home." Adam has tears in his eyes and Jo places her hand on top of his.

Adam takes a deep breath and says: "My work forces me to leave this place. But I know Shaun would be very unhappy if I took him with me. So I can't thank you enough for coming up with the idea of having him live above Maria's boutique. But I want to ask you something important and it might be a bit selfish." Jo smiles to encourage him and he asks: "Could you keep an eye on him please? And show him the way in life. I think he needs a woman for some things he still needs to learn." 

Jo nods and says: "Of course I will. We all will. He belongs to the Dribbling Fools Club now and there are four awesome guys in that club, besides Shaun. They all know exactly how to treat a woman right. And they are all very supportive." 

Adam smiles and asks: "I need to contact Dart to become a member, right?" 

Jo looks a bit surprised and says: "Yes. Do you want me to give you his number?" Jo gives him Dart's number and Adam starts texting immediately. Adam reads Dart's reply and starts typing again. 

He chuckles and looks up at Jo: "Done! I'm the newest member of the club." 

Jo shakes her head and says: "I guess I will just have to accept this club and view it as an honor, every time someone joins." 

Adam nods and says: "It's meant as an honor, according to Dart. And that's also the reason I wanted to join." 

Maria says: "Too bad it's a gentlemen's club. Or I would join myself." 

Jo says: "Not you too." 

They laugh together and Adam says: "I don't want to keep you any longer, but I have one more thing to tell you. It's Shaun's birthday this Saturday and he hasn't celebrated it for years. But I have this feeling that if I tell you about it, he might end up celebrating it this year." 

Jo looks at Maria and says: "We better get to work. And give him the perfect gift." 

Maria nods and asks: "He is turning twenty-one, right? Any tips on how to decorate his house?"

 Adam says: "He basically wants to become a man like Dart. So anything he likes...." 

Jo laughs and says: "Okay, I'll wallpaper his house with pictures of me." They laugh together and Jo says: "I'll talk to Dart about this and ask him for his help." Jo shakes Adams hand and he pulls her close for a hug. 

"I'm sorry. I just felt like a handshake would be too cold." 

Jo smiles and says: "That's fine. But don't tell Dart about it. There are rules in that club you joined, you know." Jo and Maria walk out laughing.

Jo and Maria spend the day clearing out the apartment above the boutique. And Jo sends a message to Kane, knowing he basically built his house himself. Maria comes up to her and says: "What are you brooding on?" 

Jo smiles and says: "Wait a minute, Kane is typing a message." She reads Kane's reply and sends him a kiss emote and a thumbs up. Jo explains to Maria that she asked Kane if it was possible to create an extra door on the landing to separate the room Maria will be using for the webshop and the rooms that are going to be Shaun's. And that Kane is on his way to look at the options. Jo's phone beeps and Kane says he's in front of the door. Jo runs down to let him in. 

Kane walks upstairs and says: "Oh that is not hard at all Jo." He turns to Maria and asks: "How would you feel about turning the landing into a big room for storage and office space? I could easily take the walls of the room your using right now, down. And you have a bathroom and kitchenette downstairs, right?" 

Maria nods and says: "Are you sure you can do all that before Saturday?" 

Kane looks at Jo and asks: "Before Saturday?" Jo explains it's Shaun's birthday this Saturday. And Kane says: "Hold on. Calling Dylan right now." Dylan picks up and Kane says: "I'm with Jo. Are you still with Dart? Put me on speaker!" 

Dart and Dylan ask in unison: "Why are you with Jo?" Jo laughs and explains what they are trying to do for Shaun. Dart says he has another client in half an hour but Dylan says he's coming over. 

Dart grumbles and says: "No touching!" 

Kane yells: "No promises!" and hangs up.

Dylan arrives and the guys make a list of materials they need. Maria and Jo talk about furniture for Shaun and Kane vraagt: "He's a surfer too, right?" Jo nods and he scribbles something down on a piece of paper and hands it to her. "Look at this site with Dart, order what you think you need and tell them I referred you and that they need to rush it over here." 

Jo stares at him and says: "You know the people that own that store?" 

Kane laughs and says: "I sometimes forget we don't know each other for that long yet. That company is owned by my brothers. They make custom furniture from driftwood and stuff they find on the beach. Ultimate surfer stuff. They even create shelves out of old surfboards. You'll see when you look at the site." 

Jo smiles at him and says: "I may not know you for that long, but I sure am glad I know you."

Kane grins and says to Dylan: "Come on man, let's get materials and make this happen!" The guys walk out talking about the things they need. 

Maria blinks and says: "Wow. Kane seems so quiet when he's in the cafe. But when he's in his element, he turns into a leader." 

Jo asks: "Are you okay with all of this?" 

Maria nods and says: "Yes. I can finally say goodbye to this single woman pad in style. And I have known Adam for a while now. I am glad I can help him and Shaun." 

Jo smiles and says: "Let's go out and buy some paint and decorations. Maybe a rug too. The floor is awesome with those light oak boards, so we can leave that."

They walk to the store and buy cans of really light blue paint, rollers and brushes. Jo finds a rug that has a rolling wave on it and points it out to Maria. Maria nods at her and they buy the rug too. They step out of the store, carrying it all when Kane and Dylan walk up to them and carry the rug back to the boutique. They help them cover up the floor, so the girls can start painting the walls. 

The guys have a door frame up in record time and Kane attaches the door to the frame. They take down the drywall of Maria's office carefully, trying to make the least mess possible. They clean it up by putting the dust and bits of wall in huge bags and throwing it into Kane's van. They sweep the floor and then check on the girls. The guys stand in the doorway, looking at them with a smile. 

The girls are already onto their second wall, singing along to the radio and dancing. The guys pick up brushes and help them out, singing as well. After a while they sit down on the floor to rest and to look at the walls they just painted light blue. Kane nods and says: "Good job ladies! Now let's think about the layout, so Jo knows what to order." 

Kane takes out his notepad and draws the outline of the room. The living room will be turned into a bedroom and living room in one. Kane draws two shallow, broad closets and a bed behind them. That way it looks like a separate bedroom and Shaun will have storage. He draws a big lounge couch and some bean bags and draws the rug under a small coffee table. He also draws a small dining table in the corner across from the couch. And then draws shelves and a surfboard in the last unused corner. Jo stares at the sketch and says: "Wow Kane! That is amazing!" 

Kane smiles a bit shy and says: "You order the furniture based on the look. And I will worry about the size of it. I'll let my brothers know you will be ordering stuff tonight. And don't worry about the price either. We'll work something out. We all were Shaun once. And he is part of the club now." Jo hugs Kane and thanks him. Dylan pouts and Jo hugs him too. 

They all say in unison: "Don't tell Dart!" They laugh and Jo's phone beeps. It's Dart, telling her he is hitting the shower at the gym and will come to her after that.

Jo gets up and says: "I'm going to run home and shower! Dart is done for the day." She smiles so wide that Maria and the guys chuckle. The guys and Maria get up too. 

Kane says: "The paint has to dry anyway, so there isn't much we can do right now. Maria, walk with me and I'll show you what we did behind the door. And you can tell me if there's anything you need me to do there." 

Jo kisses Maria on the cheek, while hugging her, before she says: "Bye. You are all awesome. Thank you so much for today!" She runs home and texts Dart to let him know she will be home. 

She takes her clothes off as she walks in and gets into the shower. When Dart walks in, Jo comes out of the bathroom, braiding her hair. He pouts and says: "We could have showered together?"

 Jo nods and says: "Yes. But you didn't leave me much choice, did you? You already stated you were showering at the gym. I thought about joining you there, but I am pretty sure that would be a bad idea." 

Dart's eyes flash with desire for a second and he says: "You shouldn't say things like that. Now that will be all I can think about when I shower at the gym."

Jo laughs and walks over to him for a kiss. 

"Welcome home handsome."

Dart kisses her again and says: "Hmm, thank you love." 

Jo says: "We've got some work to do tonight. I need your help to pick out furniture for Shaun. Because he wants to become a man like you, according to his dad."

 Dart looks at her and says: "Shaun said the same thing to me. He wants to be like me when he's older. I felt so weird when he said that." 

Jo snuggles up to him and says: "I get that though. You are a very impressive man." 

Dart kisses her head and says: "Yeah and I am marrying the kind of woman he wants. That must have something to with it." Jo laughs and Dart sits down on the couch with his laptop, as Jo walks into the bedroom to put some clothes on. When she walks back out, Dart says: "Come sit with me gorgeous and let's pick out some things for Shaun." Jo hands Dart the piece of paper Kane gave her and he says: "Oh yes, Kane's brothers have an awesome company. I love the stuff they make. Let's see what they have." 

Dart checks out the beds first and points at a sturdy looking bed, made of light colored driftwood. Jo immediately adds it to the online shopping cart and they look at the rest of the furniture they need. Dart is very decisive and they are done in no time. Jo smiles and sends Kane a text. Kane is happy with how fast they picked the furniture and says he will harass his brothers until it's done.

Dart smiles at her and asks: "How is your tongue, love?" 

Jo thinks for a second and says: "I would like to know why you ask this question first, before I answer it." 

Dart chuckles and says: "I was just wondering if you wanted some one on one training." 

Jo laughs and says: "That's the only training I would ever consider." Jo pulls him closer and kisses him slowly. 

Dart kisses her back and says: "Tell me about your day first though, we've been so busy that I feel like I'm missing out on a lot of things. Especially with the whole Shaun story. And we should eat something. How about pasta? I'll cook and you can talk."

Jo sits down at the breakfast bar and Canelle jumps up to shower her with headbutts and body rubs. Jo giggles and snuggles him. Dart starts gathering ingredients and Jo starts telling him all about her day. When she is done talking, Dart is ready to serve. He puts the pasta on the plates, puts them on the breakfast bar and sits down next to Jo. Dart says: "So that's how the club ended up with a new member. You let your love shine on Shaun's dad." 

Jo shrugs and says: "I didn't go there to turn him into a fan. I was quite nervous at first, but he was very kind. And he tried to raise Shaun the right way all on his own. He asked me to keep an eye on Shaun and I said I would. I was hoping the other guys in the club wanted to be there for him too. But you guys already are. It's so great to see. He's not going to know what hit him Saturday." 

Dart hugs her and says: "He really is a good kid. And pretty strong too, it takes strength to choose a path different from your friends. Especially at his age." Dart seems lost in thought and Jo eats her pasta in silence. 

Dart grabs his phone and dials a number. "Hey, it's Dart. I was wondering something. Could you help me with a custom made skate board? I have the art I want on it, but I don't know how to go about it... For real? That's great! I'll bring it by tomorrow." He hangs up and smiles at Jo. "I want to give him a skateboard for his birthday, one with the art Pierre made on it. I'm sure he will love it." 

Jo kisses Dart and says: "That is a very good idea. He'll definitely love it." Jo's phone vibrates and she picks it up to check it. It's a message from Maria. 

Marcello called.
A rough version of the dress is done and he needs you to come in for a fitting.
Jake says it's fine whenever you want to go. 

Jo jumps up and does a happy dance. Dart stares at her, laughing and asks: "What made you so happy?" 

Jo stops dancing and says: "Oh! It's a secret. A wedding secret." 

Dart smiles and says: "Okay, I won't ask then." 

They spend the rest of their evening cuddled up, watching television.
