Molly
The streets of Savannah were quiet, the walkers having moved on to another place after the group took shelter in the mansion as Kenny and Lee proceeded to walk their way towards the docks. Lee allowed himself to look around himself to get a better understanding of his surroundings as he walked closely behind Kenny. Every window and door of the building was boarded up, some "Infected" spray painted on them while a few had "Survivors" written on them. The two of them kept their eyes open for Jack, Travis and Chuck as well.
He was taken off his focus on his surroundings a few seconds later when the familiar ring of church bell echoed throughout the city. He stopped dead in his tracks as Kenny did the same, having heard this ring of bell as too. The two men immediately drew their pistols as the sound of this bell, putting themselves on guard as they knew what this could mean.
"Is this another trap?" Kenny asked, keeping his voice quiet.
"No. Listen." Lee said as the bell continued ringing, "That's not the same bell as before. This one's further off. Whatever it is, it's gonna get the dead moving over there."
Through the ringing, the group of three also heard the familiar groans and snarls of the walkers not too far from them. Taking a cover behind the store front, they looked out into the streets and saw a small horde of the undead making their way down the street on the other end of the street they were on right now.
"What in the hell is going on?" Kenny asked with his voice staying quiet.
"Maybe whoever is ringing that is just trying to distract us. Create a diversion." Lee replied, watching how the walkers slowly walked out of his view.
When the coast was clear and the walkers were gone, the group of three started making their way towards their destination again. As they continued to make their way to the docks, the trio made sure to keep their eyes open for any possible threats as they knew could have stumbled upon another group of the undead at any second.
Upon reaching their destination, the group of three stopped and stared ahead of themselves as they made sure to take a good look at the docks. The pier was filled. Trash was littered everywhere and a few abandoned cars were standing close to each other. The docks were were crumbling and the remaining boats were either run aground or half sunken.
"Jesus fucking Christ." Lee muttered to himself at the view, knowing things were starting to look bad for their original plan.
"There's gotta be a boat... there's gotta be..." Kenny muttered under his breath.
"Are you sure about that? It doesn't look like it to me." Lee stated, knowing Kenny was on the edge and it would just add more fuel to the fire, "Maybe we need to start thinking about a plan B."
Kenny clenched his hand and turned around to look at Lee, "This is the plan! It's the only one we've got, and you pissin' on it in front of everyone like you did back at the house ain't exactly helping! Well, screw you, I ain't giving up that easy."
Lee stayed silent, wanting to comfort his friend but at the same time he knew there was one thing that would console him and he doubted they could get that now. He reached his hand out towards him, but Kenny paid no attention to it. He withdrew his arm and pushed himself into run towards the harbor. Lee shook his head, letting out a sigh as he followed Kenny, not wanting to leave him alone for long.
Kenny hopped onto the wooden passageway where the boats used to dock and approached the closest boat and shook his head at the state it was in because it's back and below were in the water, "This one might still be salvageable."
"You'd better be right about this." Lee stated upon making his way to him and taking a look at the boat.
"I said it might be. Gimme a fucking break. I'm a fishing captain, not a miracle worker!" Kenny glared at him and shifted his gaze back to the boat, "I'll check it out. You look further along the waterfront. Maybe there's something at the other end."
"I don't think we should split up too far." Lee stated.
"We don't have to. See that telescope?" Kenny replied as he pointed towards a telescope on the sidewalk, "You can see all the way along the waterfront from right here. See what you can find."
"Okay." Lee replied in understanding and headed further along the walkway. Before he would take a look through the telescope, he at first wanted to take a look at his surroundings. After taking a quick look around the various stands, both of them came to the same conclusion that this place had been picked clean a long time ago.
Upon taking a look at his surrounding, he went further and froze in his tracks when stumbled upon a makeshift wall made of the pile of dozens of dead bodies. From the state the bodies were in, they could easily say the bodies had been here for a while. What caught both of their attention was the fact some of the bodies were impaled on metal spikes that jutted out from the large pile. The impaled walkers reached their hands towards Lee, but were unable to do anything more.
"What the fuck..." Lee muttered to himself, looking at the pile in front of him with horror written over his face.
"The boat's fucked." Kenny declared, coming up behind them, "Hull's cracked beneath the water line, plus someone stripped out the battery..." His words died in his throat when he saw the impaled walkers on the pile of bodies in front of him and his group, "...What the hell is that?!"
"A fate worse than death..." Lee grimly replied.
Their conversation about their recent finding was cut short a second later when they all heard a sound from the alley next to them. The group of three immediately shifted their attention to the alley, putting themselves on guard and saw a person climbing out of the sewers. They lowered their guard a second later as the immediately recognized this person. It was Jack. He wasn't alone, though. He was followed by Chuck, Travis and Vernon.
Jack looked at Vernon questioningly, "Is this the place?"
Vernon smiled at him, "It is. You said you and your group came to this city in search of a boat, right? We're at the river right now."
A smile spread over Lee's face as soon as he set his eyes on the missing members of his group, "I'll be dammed."
"Holy shit. They're okay." Kenny found himself smirking a bit at the view of this.
"Guys!" Lee called out to Jack, Travis and Chuck and pushed himself into walk towards them with Kenny following him while Jack, Chuck, Travis and Vernon looked in the direction of his voice.
"Lee." Jack smiled at the view of him as Lee made his way to him and wrapped his arms around him, giving him a quick hug.
"You had us so worried, you know?" Kenny asked, having his mood lit up a bit by this as Lee pulled away from Jack.
Jack crossed his arms and shifted his gaze to Travis, "Yeah. Sorry about that. Someone headed off without giving me a heads up and didn't want to leave him."
"I just couldn't leave Chuck behind, even if he just joined out group because we could actually save him." Travis explained his actions upon feeling everyone shift their attention to him.
Kenny shifted his attention away from him a second later and pointed at Vernon, "Who is that?"
"This is Vernon. He helped us find a way out of the sewers." Jack replied as he gestured to Vernon.
Vernon nodded at him, "A pleasure."
"Where did you take shelter from the walkers on the street?" Chuck asked.
"In an abandoned mansion." Lee explained, "It's actually not too far from the place where you three got separated from the rest of us."
Chuck nodded in understanding, 'I see."
"Since you're here, I assume you went out to look for the boats?" Jack asked.
"Yes." Lee nodded in understanding, "Unfortunely this place was picked clean. I think we'll have to come up with a Plan B now because I don't think a boat will appear out of nowhere."
"Shit." Jack shook his head and set his eyes on Kenny, "Sorry Ken. I knew how much faith you were putting in this plan."
Kenny sighed, "We can still find something."
"Let's go back to the mansion." Lee declared, "We should hurry if we don't want to get split up by the walkers again."
Just as the group was preparing to leave and started making their way to the mansion, movement from a top of a building on the other side of the pier gained their attention. Not wasting any time, the group quickly jumped over the railing beside them and went down to the dock below, managing to hide themselves there just as as someone walked towards where they had been a few seconds earlier.
Lee looked up at look at the unknown person. They couldn't see how they looked like as they had covered themselves completely. They wore a dark orange jacket and had their head was covered by a hood with a mask covering the lower part of their face. They wore a backpack and wielded a climbing axe, ready to use it at any moment if any danger arose to them.
"Where did they go?" Kenny asked.
"Disappeared into the newstand." Lee replied, "Could be our bell ringer."
"We should just talk to them." Vernon explained. "If they're not friendly we can ambush them."
Chuck nodded in approval, "Good idea."
Jack nodded in agreement, "This way we'll get a chance to get ready ambush them if they're really dangerous."
"So who do we send?" Travis asked.
"I'll go talk with them." Chuck voluntered for the job
"I'll go with you. I'll try to cover you back." Jack added as Chuck glanced at him and nodded.
"Be careful, you two." Lee wished them luck as Jack and Chuck nodded at him.
They got themselves into standing positions and approached the stand with Chuck making sure to keep his hands raised in the air to show himself to the unknown person as someone who didn't mean any harm to them while Jack kept himself in ready to case something went wrong. The person took notice of them, having glanced over their shoulder and turned around to look at them with their mask hiding their thoughtful expression.
"You'e not from Crawford." The figure spoke up in a feminine tone, revealing herself to be a woman to Jack and Chuck.
Chuck shook his head, "No. We're not."
"This is the second time we've heard this today..." Jack muttered under his breath. He spoke again in a louder tone a second later, "You're not the guy from the radio."
"I'm not a guy at all." The unknown woman replied as she took off her hoodie. She had short blond hair and baby blue eyes while her lips were thin like hay straws. Jack's eyes widened a bit upon getting a better look at this woman, "Full marks for observation."
Chuck looked over his shoulder towards where the rest was hiding, "Guys! Come here! She's friendly!"
"Wait? There's more of you?" The unknown woman instantly put herself on guard as Lee, Kenny, Vernon and Travis left their shelter and walked over to them.
"Yes." Chuck nodded in confirmation, "Me and Jack went here to make sure you weren't gonna try and kill us." He gestured to his group, "This is Lee, Kenny, Travis and Vernon."
The unknown woman took a look at the new additions to the group, eyeing them up and down, "Judging by the second old man, I'm assuming the rest of you ain't from Crawford either?"
"No." Jack shook his head.
"You aren't from Crawford either?" Vernon asked.
"No." The unknown woman shook her head, "The name is Molly."
Lee rubbed the back of his head, "What's Crawford?"
Molly eyed them suspiciously, "Wait? Do you know Crawford is or not? I'm getting confused here."
"We just met Vernon. Me, Travis and Chuck got separated from our group earlier and we stumbled upon him in the sewers. He told us everything we need to know about it." Jack explained as Travis shifted his gaze between him and Molly, taking notice of the way Jack looked at Molly and crossed his arms with an interested look on his face, "We were planning to fill Lee and Kenny about it but it was when you appeared."
"Do you know who's been ringing those bells around town?" Kenny wanted to know.
"Yeah, that would be me." Molly nonchalantly said.
Kenny stepped closer to Molly with an angered look on her face and pointed at her, "I fucking knew it. Lee! She was fucking with us since we arrived in Savannah!"
Molly rolled her eyes at him, "Get that finger out of my face, grandpa, before I jam it straight up your ass."
"You nearly got all of us killed!" Jack shouted, clenching his hand as he stepped closer to Molly, "Do you even realize how close we got to dying because of you?!"
Molly raised her brow at him, "You want to start a fight, blondie?"
"Ain't you a blonde yourself?" Jack replied with a confused look on his face.
"She didn't do it on purpose!" Chuck pointed out to defend Molly before the situation could escalate into a fight.
Jack looked over his shoulder with a confused look on his face, "You're really defending her?"
"You would have died if me and Jack didn't save you back there." Travis added.
"I'm not defending her. I'm just pointing out she didn't do it on purpose." Chuck explained.
"Exactly." Molly crossed her arms, "This is how I keep myself alive in this city. Excuse me for not thinking about a group showing up one day
Jack sighed, knowing they were right, "Dammit."
"Wise choice, blondie." Molly smirked at him and looked around people around her with a smug look on her face, "Since you nearly assaulted me I think I deserve some sort of compensation."
"Excuse us? You nearly got the rest of killed! You ain't getting shit!" Kenny shouted.
"Say what you want, grandpa." Molly rolled her eyes at Kenny and set her eyes on Lee, "You take me back to your little home and I get to take whatever I want. I won't take too much, probably."
"You must be joking." Kenny told her.
"You want to find out, grandpa?" Molly challenged.
"Just let her, Ken. It's not like there's much to take in the mansion." Lee pointed out to Kenny, shrugging his shoulders.
Chuck looked at Lee questioningly, 'With this matter settled, can you show us a way to the mansion?"
"Let's go." Lee gave him a nod, "Let's just hurry up.."
The group of seven left the docks shortly after, beginning to make their way back to the mansion.
------
The group consisting of Lee, Jack, Kenny, Travis, Chuck, Vernon and Molly returned to the mansion after making their way through the desolated streets of Savannah, having thankfully not stumbled upon any trouble on their way to their destination. As soon as the group of seven made their way into the backyard of the mansion, the door to the building was pushed open and Clementine rushed out of the mansion.
"Lee!" Clementine cried out happily at the view of Lee as she made her way to him and hugged him. She was followed by Christa, Ben and Mark.
"Hi there, sweetie." Lee smiled down at her, returning her hug.
Travis smiled upon laying his eyes on Ben as he made his way to his best friend, "Hi, there. Did you miss me?"
"You have no idea." Ben shook his head, "Don't pull of crap like this again, man."
"I'm gonna try." Travis replied, grinning slightly as he pulled his best friend into a hug, "But I can't promise you."
Mark smiled slightly as he shifted his gaze between Jack and Chuck, "It's good to see all of you made it back in one piece."
"Yeah. It wasn't easy but we managed to do it." Jack smiled back at him.
"You brought some new friends with you as well." Christa added, gesturing to Molly and Vernon wth her head.
Lee nodded in confirmation and started to introduce the new additions to the rest of his group, "Everyone. This is Molly and Vernon. Jack, Chuck and Travis tumbled upon Vernon after they got separated from us and we stumbled upon Molly in the docks."
"You don't need to introduce me. I won't be staying here for long, anyway." Molly said, "I'm here to collect something for myself as a way of repayment for the way our meeting went."
Christa crossed her ams, "You want to find something in this dump of a house? Good luck with that."
"I'll take my chances." Molly replied as she walked past Christa and walked into the mansion, "Now. If you'll excuse me."
"How's Omid doing?" Lee asked Christa.
Christa sighed in worry, "He's gotten worse. Much worse."
"Good thing we brought Vernon here, then." Jack stated as Christa looked at him questioningly, "Vernon is a doctor."
"Oh, thank God!" Christa felt a wave of relief hit her as Mark let out a relieved sigh as well, "You have to help us... please?"
"I'll see what I can do. Take me to him." Vernon replied and shifted his gaze to Mark, "You look like you could use a doctor yourself. You must be one of the wounded men mentioned to me by Jack."
Mark gave him a nod in confirmation, "Yeah. Just take a look at Omid first. His state is worse than mine."
"I will." Vernon replied in understanding, admiring the selfless request from Mark. Not wasting any time, he and Christa went into the mansion to take a look at Omid together.
Mark watched them enter the mansion and shifted his gaze to Kenny, "Did you find any boats?"
Kenny shook his head, "No."
"Alright. Good." Mark replied in understanding.
Kenny raised his brow in both confusion and anger, "Good?"
"I didn't mean it like that. Just hear me out." Mark defended himself, not wanting to make Kenny angry with him as he cleared his throat and stepped closer towards the shed. Out of the corner of their eyes, Jack, Lee, Kenny, Chuck and Travis could have sworn they almost saw Clementine and Ben smile, "You and Lee told us to search the place better once you left for the docks and this is exactly what we did. You are not going to believe me once I'll tell you what we found in this shed."
Jack, Lee, Kenny, Travis and Chuck exchanged questioning looks with each other, not knowing what Mark was talking about as Mark reached the shed and wasted no time when it came to opening it. From the smile he had on his face, they realized it must have been something which he knew all of them would like. Lee, Jack, Kenny, Chuck and Travis found out what was the reason of their excitement after they took a look into the shed.
They saw a boat. An honest to god boat sitting there. It was right under their noses for all this time...
"No fucking way." Travis whispered to himself, his eyes filled with awe, "It was right under your noses for this entire time?"
"You took those words out of my mouth." Lee agreed with him as Jack silently nodded in agreement. He looked over his shoulder at Kenny a second later and smiled at him. He wasted no time and smiled back at him.
-----
The group except for Kenny, Ben and Mark was gathered in the living room of the mansion like it was an operation room. Lee paced around the room as he waited for Kenny, Ben and Mark to arrive at the mansion. Kenny, Mark and Ben were inspecting each nook and cranny of the boat and they were taking their time with it as it had been almost an hour since they started inspecting the boat.
Lee shifted his gaze to Vernon, wanting to take his mind off the boat for a second, "How are Mark and Omid doing?"
"As well as can be expected under the circumstances. I did what I could for him, cleaned out the wound." Vernon gave him an honest answer, " But he's got a real infection, running a fever. Without antibiotics..."
Lee nodded in understanding, proceeding to pace around the room, "I see."
"What about Mark?" Jack asked.
Vernon shifted his gaze to him and gave him his answer, "His condition isn't as bad as Omid but he is getting there. Slowly but surely. Him constantly making himself work like he does at the job with your friends isn't helping his state either. Normally I would praise him taking care of other people like this, but right now even I have to admit that he is being foolish."
Molly looked at Lee with an annoyed look on her face, "Will you quit pacing, you're making everyone nervous."
Jack looked at her questioningly, "Why are you still here?"
"If your friend can get that boat working you're taking me with you as a 'sorry for nearly assaulting you Molly' and I refuse to hear a no." Molly responded as as Kenny, Mark and Ben walked into the living room.
Jack looked at him questioningly, "Well. How is it?"
Kenny let out a sigh, "Want the good news or the bad news?"
"I recommend choosing bad news first." Mark added.
Travis nodded in agreement, "Let's go with this. I wanna get that disappointment over with."
Jack looked at Kenny, Mark and Ben questioningly, "What's the bad news?"
"The gas tank is empty and the battery's dead." Kenny explained.
"So what's the good news?" Christa asked.
"That's it. All we need is some gas and a battery. Other than that she's good to know." Kenny explained.
Jack crossed his arms, "How are we going to get all of this, then?"
"Sounds like Crawford is the one place that has everything we need. Maybe we should try there." Lee suggested. Even if he knew how risky this could be, he knew it was their only option right now as Crawford was the only place in Savannah where he was certain they would find some supplies.
Chuck nodded in agreement, "Molly did tell us they picked this city clean."
Vernon narrowed his eyes at them, "Now, hold on a minute."
"Surely, we have to try!" Christa voiced her agreement with Lee's plan, "If there are people left in this city who are still alive, who still have supplies, what harm can it do to ask?"
Vernon shifted his gaze to her, "Trust me, you don't know these people. I do. You showing up with a wounded man? Might as well put a noose around his neck. They don't exactly welcome children with open arms, either."
Christa crossed her arms, "What the hell kind of a place are we talking about here?"
"The worst kind." Molly replied.
"And just how exactly do you figure we do this?" Kenny asked, "Because, from what I've heard, that place ain't exactly friendly to outsiders."
"There's got to be some way we can sneak in there undetected." Lee suggested.
"It can actually work." Chuck nodded in approval and shifted his gaze to Vernon, looking at him questioningly, "Do you know any way we can sneak into Crawford without gaining much attention to ourselves."
Vernon nodded at him, "I know the sewer system that runs beneath Crawford like the back of my hand." He looked around the group around him, "Y'all wouldn't happen to have a map by any chance?"
"Yeah actually..." Lee said as unfolded the map and placed it on the table.
Vernon looked down at the map and pointed at one spot on it, "I think I could lead us through so we could pass under the perimeter and right into the center, where they keep their supplies. We come up right underneath 'em, take 'em by surprise, grab what we need and get out before they even knew what hit 'em."
"Talk about the element of suprise." Travis stated.
"It will give us advantage against them." Chuck agreed.
Travis nodded at her, "That's what I'm saying."
Jack hummed to himself, approving of this plan, "Not a bad idea to be honest. As long as nothing goes wrong, I can actually see it working out."
"If we all work together, we could pull it off." Vernon added to his explanation.
Kenny looked at him questioningly, "And what do you want in return for all this help you're giving us?"
"Crawford doesn't just have what you need for your boat. Crawford is well stocked with medical supplies, medical supplies my people and I could use." Vernon explained.
"A fair trade if you ask me." Jack stated wth a thoughtful look on his face, "This way both of our group will benefit from it."
"We can do this." Christa nodded with her desperation evident, "We have to!"
"So, it's decided, then?" Kenny asked, "We're going to Crawford?"
Lee looked around his group, wanting to know what everyone thought about it, "Anyone else have a problem with this plan?"
Ben shook his head, uncertain about this plan, "Man, I don't know..."
Kenny looked over his shoulder at him, "I don't know about you, kid, but I'd rather take a chance on doing something than just sitting around here waiting to die. That boat out there is an answered prayer, we just gotta push a little bit farther. Are you in or out?"
Travis patted Ben's back, trying to encourage his friend, "I know this scares you, but I'm sure you can do it, buddy. We've been through stuff worse than this."
Ben shrugged, "I-I suppose."
Travis smiled at him, "That's my boy."
Lee nodded to himself, "Alright. It looks like everyone is up for this plan."
"What about Omid?" Christa asked, making everyone look at her, "We don't know what can happen in the mansion while we'll be gone. Someone should stay behind to keep him safe. This city has already proven itself to be dangerous and we shouldn't take our chances by leaving him all alone."
Lee shifted his gaze to Mark, having just gotten an idea, "Mark. Will you stay in the mansion with Omid?"
"Are you sure certain about this, Lee?" Mark asked, "I"m sure I could make myself useful during this. I could make we would get the right parts for the boat."
Lee gave him an explanation for his idea a second later, "I'm not asking you to stay behind because I don't believe you can't make yourself useful during this operation. I'm asking you to stay behind because of your wounded shoulder. It would be too risky for your health to take you with us as it still hasn't healed right. If it wasn't for your wound, then I would gladly take you with us."
Mark disappointed look was replaced with the look of understanding, seeing a point in Lee's point of view, "I see. You're right. It would be too risky of me to go with you with my wounded shoulder."
"You are pushing yourself too hard with your wound as well." Vernon added, "If you'll keep doing this, then you will end up in no better state than your wounded friend."
Mark once again nodded in understanding, "I see."
"Just make sure Omid will be safe when we'll be gone. Alright?" Christa asked him.
"I will do my best." Mark promised her.
"We should go tonight, under cover of dark." Vernon stated, "I'll go let my people know, give you all a chance to prepare. I'll be back before midnight."
"Be careful." Christa told him.
"You don't want anyone to go with you?" Chuck asked.
"I could go with you if you want to." Travis offered.
Vernon shook his head, "Thank you, but this won't be needed. I'll make sure to be careful out there. This is how I survived to this point."
"Alright. We'll be waiting for you." Lee nodded at him as Vernon walked out of the living room and headed out of the mansion. He looked around his group right after, "Everyone go get ready. We'll be moving out as soon as Vernon will make his way back to us."
Everyone from his group nodded at him. Everyone left the living room shortly after, going into separate parts of the mansion in order to prepare themselves to raid Crawford. As soon as Lee walked out of the living room, he looked up at the staircase and saw Clementine, standing there. It didn't take him long to figure out how she must have overheard their entire plan to raid Crawford.
"I thought I told you to stay in your room." He told her as Clementine looked down with a guilty look on her face, "How long have you been there?"
"You're planning to attack Crawford, right?" Clementine asked, making Lee understand she indeed heard everything about their plan.
Lee sighed, knowing there was no need of hiding the truth from her if she already knew about this, "Yes."
"Is it going to be dangerous?" Clementine asked.
"I can't lie to you, Clem. Yeah, it's gonna be dangerous." Lee gave her an honest answer, "But it's the only way to get the things we need to make Omid and Mark better, and get the boat working. That's why we have to do this. Do you understand?"
Clementine lowered her gaze to the floor with a saddened look on her face, "I don't want anyone else to die."
"I don't want more of our people either." Lee agreed with them sadly, "But sometimes we have to take that kind of risk. Crawford may have everything our group needs know and we need to take that risk."
Clementine nodded at him and got up, "I guess we should go get ready."
Lee narrowed his eyes at her, "Say what now?"
Clementine began to explain, "You said you'd need all of us to do this. And you said I'm a big help, remember? Molly said Crawford is the only place left in Savannah that still has people. That means it must be where my mom and dad are, right?"
Lee shook his head, "Clementine, I think it'd be safer for you to stay here with Omid and Mark."
Clementine didn't like this, "But what if something happens to Omid while you're gone?"
Lee looked at her questioningly, "What do you mean?"
"He's sick. And if he doesn't get better, and...you know. He might try to hurt me." Clementine explained, looking fearful and nervous about this.
"You don't need to worry about this." Lee replied, trying to convince her to stay behind at the mansion, "Mark will be here to take care of everything."
Clementine looked down, "So I can't come?"
"No. I'm sorry." Lee shook his head as Clementine kept her eyes on the floor, having a dejected look on her face as she walked off out of Lee's view into her room.
-----
Vernon climbed into fallout shelter through the hole in the wall and made his way into the morgue. He pushed the door open and walked into his and his group's shelter, making his people stop what they were doing and looked at him.
Brie looked at him with a relieved look on her face, "Vernon! You're back."
"You weren't coming back for a while. We were starting to get worried." An eldery man with a gray beard added.
"I'm sorry for making you worried, Boyd. I'm sorry for making all of you worried. I know I've been gone longer than I told you." Vernon looked around his group with an apologetic look on his face, "I've been invited by Jack's group into the mansion they took their shelter in after Jack, Travis and Chuck got separated from them. Staying with them for this long paid off, though as I think I found us a ticket out of here."
"What do you mean?" Boyd asked.
"Those people found a boat." Vernon responded, "An actual boat that Crawford missed. If we help them fix it up, we could all sail away to paradise away from Crawford and the walkers."
An unknown man crossed his arms with a questioning look on his face, "How many people does their group have?"
"Twenty two if Ian and a woman named Molly will stay with them." Vernon replied.
The unknown man raised his brow, "Is this big enough to hold a group of them and all of us?"
"No." Vernon shook his head, "The boat is way to small for all of us. It's too small to even fit half their group. We're just gonna borrow it."
Boyd shook his head at the idea, "You mean we're gonna steal it? I don't wanna be apart of it."
"Boyd. Don't worry." Vernon assured him, "None of us will get hurt. We help get the medicine they need for their sick friend and one man from their group who has heart problems from Crawford and we leave them so food so they can survive. We've been stranded here for way longer their group. We deserve this boat after everything we've been through."
Boyd crossed his arms, still unsure about this idea but gave no further complains.
"You really gonna steal a boat?" Brie asked.
"Yes." Vernon nodded in confirmation, "I could use your help in Crawford. You know that place better than anyone."
"Okay." Brie nodded at him, "If it could help us leave Savannah for good, then I'm in."
"Good." Vernon nodded back at her and looked around the other members of his group, "The rest of you start packing. We'll be leaving Savannah soon..."
