Chapter 7: The Profile of Michael Reyes-Grey

8:30 am.

Location: On Route to Diamond Star Publishing Company

Michael POV:

"How's your butt?", asked Christian as he drove.

"Still quite sore", I say still feeling the burn from last night.

"I may have gone a little overboard", he says.

"I'm not complaining", I wink at him.

"Don't excite me while I'm driving", he said.

"Where's the fun in that?", I tease as we arrived at Diamond Star.

"Have a great day at work babe", he says as he kisses me.

"You to my love", I say as I get out of the car.

I limped my way through Diamond Star as everyone stared.

"Michael! Did you hurt your leg!", says Josh as he came up to me.

"Something like that", I say blushing.

Yeah, I can't just blurt out Christian fucked the life outta me last night.

"Michael!", a voice calls out as I head to the elevator.

I turn around and saw Anna, oh right, she's starting her first day as my secretary today.

"Anna", says Josh as he greeted her.

"Josh, my new secretary", I say as I point to Anna.

"Oh that's amazing, welcome to Diamond Star Anna, I was wondering why you canceled the interviews for a new secretary, I'm glad you finally found one", says Josh to me as he smiled.

"Yes, let's go Anna", I say as we get into the elevator.

"Alright Mr. Grey", she says.

"Call me Michael", I say.

"The horror editor has a new draft for you to look at, he says he has high hopes for it", says Josh.

"I can squeeze him in at 1 pm", I say.

"Very well", he says.

The elevator door opened to my floor as Anna and I walk out.

"Your desk will be to the front of my office,", I say as she put her stuff there.

"Alright", she says excitedly.

"Have a great day", I say to her as she smiled.

Alright, today's agenda, Mr. Drake is coming in at 11 am to review his new draft, I have to head to the designs department and overlook some book covers and art illustrations for some upcoming then sort out some new drafts, overall a fun day, I love my job.

The phone then rang as Anna answered.

"Michael Grey's office", she says as she winked at me.

I then laughed as I headed into my office.

I head straight to the desk as I boot my computer up. I stretch my hands as I take a un-manly yawn as Anna knocked on my door as walked in.

"Mr. Grey you look tired", she teases.

"Yes, I hear the coffee calling", I yawn.

"Oh, that's my cue!", she says excitedly.

"Eh?", I say.

"I'm gonna get you some coffee", she said.

"Oh, that would be nice", I say.

"What should I get you?", she asked.

"A large Dulce de Leche", I say.

"Very well", I say as I give her some money for both of us.

"Thank you", I smile.

"I like being useful... oh that reminds me, there's someone named Mr. Teller here to see you", she says.

"Mr. Teller? Doesn't ring a bell", I say as I look through my daily agenda but the name didn't pop up.

"Apparently he's from the New York Times", she says.

"The Times!", I say in shock.

"Were you expecting him?", she asked.

What is someone from the New York times doing here? What could they want with the likes of me?

"Send him in", I say confused.

"Very well, good luck", she says as she leaves the office.

Mr. Teller? The New York Times?

A few moments later someone knocked as they entered.

"Mr. Grey, I'm Mr. Teller", he says as he smiles at me.

Mr. Teller!?! Huh? Who is this twink? I was expecting someone way older. He looked about 23, he had gorgeous brown hair and faded blue eyes. He was quite beautiful though, what could this twink want with me?

"Mr. Teller?", I say as I shake his hand as he blushed.

"You can call me Liam", he says as he shakes my hand.

"So the New York Times huh?", I say confused.

"Yes, I'm a fan of yours", he says still smiling.

"A fan? I don't think I've done anything considered to be admired by anyone", I say.

"So coy, you're the Editor in Chief here at Diamond Star Publishing Company as well as the husband of multi-billionaire Christian Grey, you graduated with honors and a star citizen", he says as I gulp.

Oh crap, after looking at this guy I forgot I had a husband for a second there.

"You did your homework?", I say a little creeped out.

"Oh hardly a stalker, I'm the head editor of the Celebrity section of the Times", he said still smiling.

"So what does the Editor want with the likes of me?", I say.

"We'd like to profile you", he says.

"You came here on work?", I say.

"Yes, everyone wants to know who Michael Reyes-Grey is", he said.

"The Profile of Michael Reyes-Grey huh? Doesn't sound too appealing, I'm quite boring", I say as he laughs.

"That doesn't seem quite likely, I mean look at me, my tie's all crooked", I say.

He then got up and headed over to me.

"I think you know you're in the public eye now Mr. Grey, all I wanna do is profile you, you're the significant other to the wealthiest man in the world, you've peaked the interest of many, there's a lot of people curious to know who is Michael Grey", he says as he fixes my tie.

"Maybe I prefer the private life", I say.

He was way too close to me, I could smell his perfume but I tried my best to ignore him, I know his plan, it's not the Profile of Michael Reyes-Grey but you're trying to expose me, see what skeleton is laying in the closet.

"If I don't someone else will, we're both editors, there's some thing's I'd like to clear up", he says as he finished and went back to his seat.

"For example?", I say not paying attention to him.

"The Briarcliff incident", he says as I gulp.

"What about it?", I say uncomfortably.

"You were institutionalized. You were a patient there, how does one go from a mental institution to the husband of Christian Grey?", he asked as I looked at him.

"That's not all there is to it", I say.

"During the fire, witnesses say you pushed a man into a fire as well as foul play in the death of your old boss, the last editor in Chief", he says.

There's a lot more to the story than that.... but what you said makes a lot of sense. There was a lot of controversy over that incident that I went of scotch free. It makes sense now why the staff here at Diamond Star Publishing Company look's at me strangely, they think I killed their boss... I was promoted just like that, it's obvious why they would think that.

"Mr. Grey?", says Liam as I gulped.

"Oh yes, well that's a misfortunate incident", I say awkwardly.

Anna then knocked as she entered.

"Coffee is here", she says as she smiles awkwardly.

"Oh Anna", I say smiling as she came in the nick of time.

"Hello", says Anna to Liam.

"Well Mr. Teller, I don't think I'll be able to help you, I think the private should stay in private", I say.

"Well, I'll have to respect your privacy, if you change your mind, give me a call", he smiles as he hands me his business card.

"Thanks for your visit", I say smiling as I took his card.

He then smiled as he exited his office.

"Michael... you're shaking... are you okay?", says Anna as I was snapped back down to reality.

"Yes, Yes I'm fine", I say gulping as she stared.

The Briarcliff Incident, I didn't think I would ever have to remember that again, that was a dark day, probably the darkest moment of my life. I've read all the inaccurate article's in the paper, it will always haunt me no matter what... What's your game, Liam? It's like if that cute little baby face is hiding a deep dark secret.....
