Michael PoV

I felt like I couldn't sleep last night, all these thoughts bombarding me. When something disturbs your inner peace you have to rid it and that's just what I'm doing. The Tell All Tale of Briarcliff, a long history of abuse and sadness ends today, in order to free my name and get back to that peaceful state in which I was, this is what I must do. 

I take a deep breath as I enter Diamond Star, it was already 10 am and the interview was at 11 am, the reporters swarm outside trying to get a word in and a comment, how has the interview turned into an event?

"You made it!", says Josh as he joined me. 

"We were worried you may not be able to make it inside with all these reporters.", says Anna as she joined us.

"I had a backup", I say as I turn around. 

"Christian hired them, special agents, this is Sawyer", I say as he stepped forward. 

"This is Kent, they're incredibly agile", I say.

"And cute", says Anna as she winked. 

"Let's head up to the conference room, I have breakfast ready", says Josh as we headed upstairs.

We all had breakfast together as Liam joined us, it was 10:45 am as everyone joined us. Liam pulled out his voice recorder as I took a deep breath. 
Christian then walked in as my eyes widen.

"Christian", I say as he enters.

"I had to be here", he says as he kissed my forehead.

Everyone else then came in as my eyes widen in shock.

Jason, Ryan, Candice, Stefan, Leo and even Bob. 

"Are you ready?", he asked. 

"Yes", I say.

"So whats your interpretation on Briarcliff?", he asked. 

"When I was there I noticed severe mental and physical abuse of the patients there, it was inhumane, to say the least", I say.

"And how did you end up there?", asked Liam.

"I was looking for someone", I say.

"Who were you looking for?", he asked as I look at Christian.

"Christian's birth mother", I say as Christian gulped. 

"As some sort of closure?", he asked.

"You are correct?", I say.

"Your statements say you were forced to be a patient there", he says as he pulled out a file. 

"Yes, my mother's, as well as Christian's signature, was forged", I say.

"Why would they do that? What was their motive?", asked Liam.

"To see me in pain and to tear me away from Christian", I say.

"Who did that?", he asked.

"My former boss, Adam and Bob Grey, they have both been stalking me and harassing me and Christian", I say.

"Why would they do something like that?", he asked.

"Adam wanted to make me his and wouldn't accept no for an answer, he did whatever it took to make sure Christian and I broke up, Bob's motive is unknown to me", I explain. 

"Well, you have provided texts and evidence to prove that was true, why didn't you seek help from the police?", he asked.

"They couldn't help me", I say.

"So you took the law into your own hands", he said.

"There are things a man must do to keep the people he loves safe", I say as I gulp. 

"According to your report, the abuse in Briarcliff has been going on for 25 years, how did no one pick up on that?", asked Liam.

"Briarcliff had help from doctors and detectives in the police force, whatever incident that occurred would not have made it publicly", I say.

"That is an incriminating accusation, do you have proof of this?", he asked.

"Every patient of Briarcliff would agree with me", I say.

"You said 25 years, up to 7 years ago, Christian's adopted mother worked there", says Liam as I take a deep breath.

"Mrs. Sparks, you are correct", I say.

"She was the head nurse in charge of patient care for over 20 years, do you mean to tell me she was part of the staff that abused the patients?", asked Liam as Stefan gulped.

"That is correct", I say.

"The rest of the doctors and staff disappeared that day, do you know anything about that?", he asked.

"No I do not", I say.

"We took statements from the patients that day and they all agreed that you saved them from that hell", he says.

"I'm barely a hero", I say.

"To every single one of them you are", says Liam. 

I then drank a glass of water as Liam smiled.

"How did you escape?", he asked.

"I had inside help", I say. 

"Help?", he asked.

"A certain woman helped me escape", I say.

"Who?", he asked.

"Her name was Sister Jude, she was a nun there and second in command before she was murdered, she made the necessary arrangement to help me escape that place, she is the reason I was able to", I say tearing up. 

"Sister Jude", said Liam. 

"Yes, she may have done wrong in her past but I'm sure she's looking down on me now", I smile. 

"Thank you, Michael. That's all I need", says Liam.

"Oh, thanks for listening", I say as he shook my hand and picked his stuff up and headed out the door. 

.......

"That wasn't as bad as I thought it would be", I say as I gulp hard.

"Yeah, I truly thought it would be more incriminating", says Anna as I looked for Stefan but he had left. 

"You did great", says Christian as he kissed my forehead. 

"It's because you all were here", I smiled.

"Josh, do you mind if Michael took some time off today?", asked Christian to Josh. 

"Sure why not", says Josh.

"Time off?", I say to Christian.

"There's something I want to show you", says Christian as he took my hand and headed out the door.

"Where are you taking me?", I yell.

"You'll see", he smiled as we headed outside and into the car.

He then drove off and headed out to the highway.

"Where exactly are you taking me?", I ask.

"It's a surprise", he smiled. 

He drove for about 20 minutes as he took a back road, all I could see were large trees that shaded us as we drove by. He then drove in what looked like a mansion, it was huge and abandoned, looked like it was left here to rot.

"What is this place?", I say as we got out the car.

"It's an old abandoned mansion", he says.

"I see that but why are we here?", I ask.

"Yesterday got me thinking I could've burned down entire house and I know you like to cook and my kitchen is too small so I thought why try burning my apartment down when I can try to burn this one down", he says. 

"You didn't", I say in shock.

"Welcome to your new home", he said excitedly as he smiled. 

"Christian", I say still in shock.

"I'm sorry, I should have asked you first", he said apologetically.

"Thank you, this is amazing, a house", I say excitedly. 

"You like it?", he asked.

"I love it!", I say as he kissed me. 

"Welcome home Michael", he said as we stare at our new house. 

.........

This moment .... this pure happiness and joy we felt, at that moment I wanted more in this world but a moment like that doesn't last forever. I truly wish, the joy of this moment could have stayed, before I know it, it was gone.

It means I'm taking a little break from writing this book, but do not fear, in June it will return, Chapter 20 will be the last before the Hiatus, I'm trying to get one chapter done every day until I reach Chapter 20.
