Stefan? What the hell is he doing here?

Michael POV

"I haven't seen you in about a year", I say to him as he snickered. 

"It's nice to see you again Michael", he says.

"Don't lie to me, what are you doing here?", I ask.

"Visiting my mother", he said.

"That's it?", I ask.

"There's no other reason", he says.

"What do you need Mrs. Sparks?", I ask.

"There's a secret organization in place for the incident at Briarcliff under wraps, it's their job to keep certain things hidden, it'll be troublesome for them if certain information is leaked", she says.

"You know about my interview", I say to her.

"The tell-all about Briarcliff, everyone knows, the Times basically tweeted out about the interview tomorrow", she says.

"And let me guess, there are certain things you don't want me telling them?", I ask.

"Correct, omit me and Stefan from your statements as well as what you think you know about sister Jude and Bob.", she says. 

"This whole thing started with Bob", I say.

"When they dig deep into Bob, they're going to find out things about me and my family, things that I would hate getting into the light", she says. 

"So omit the part where you drugged and stole people's children?", I say. 

"Don't play smart", says Stefan. 

"I'm not afraid of you", I say to Stefan. 

"Simmer down you two, listen, Michael, I'm old and retired now. I regret doing those things but I cannot live forever, I rather live out my days in peace and not rotting away in some cold dark jail cell somewhere", she says.

"You're aware this problem you caused isn't going to magically go away? You have to face up what you did, that's only fair", I say.

"Please Michael", she says.

"Omit me and Stefan's name from your statement, that's all I ask", she says.

"I can omit Stefan's name but you're the real monster, what you did to those patients, to Christian's mother, it's unforgivable", I say with disgust.

"This secret organization will stop at nothing to keep me and my son's name safe, it is what they were hired for, they are certainly not people you mess with", she warned.

"Is that threat?", I ask as I raised an eyebrow.

"Certainly not, just a word of advice.", she smiled. 

"If I can deal with Bob then I can deal with some secret organization", I say as I walk towards the door.

"You'd definitely regret that Michael, I can guarantee you that", she warned as I close the door. 

Some secret organization, give me a break! I can more than handle them. You will pay for what you did to Christian's mother, sister Jude and all those patients Mrs. Sparks. Just thinking about it gets me mad. 

"What did she want?", asked Anna as we walk outside.

"She told me to keep her name and Stefan's name out of the media", I sigh.

"How could you mention terrible patient care and not mention the head nurse, Mrs. Sparks? Surely they're going to put it together", says Anna. 

"She warned that some secret organization will come after me if I reveal that information, she sounded desperate", I laugh as Anna stopped. 

I then stopped and turned around as Anna had a terrified look on her face. 

"Anna?", I say as she gulped. 

"The Secret Society", she says with a terrified look on her face.

"Are they that scary?", I ask. 

"Their a special organization that works in the shadows and gets whatever they have to do done without fail, they kidnapped me and put me there in Briarcliff, they're a special unit who was working with Stefan, elite class hackers with special skills", says Anna.

"I'll beef up security", I say.

"You don't understand Michael, they're not people you mess with under any circumstances", says Anna. 

"So you think this interview with Liam is a mistake?", I say as I gulp.

"You can have the interview but be very careful what information you give out, you do not want this organization after you", warned Anna. 

"Fine, I'll keep Mrs. Sparks out of it but deep down I know it's the wrong thing to do", I say as I clench my fist.

"There are some battles in which you cannot win", says Anna. 

I then sighed as I step into the car as Taylor drove off. Am I really doing the right thing? I mean, I want justice for all those patients who were mistreated for all those years, so much life was lost because of Briarcliff, because of Mrs. Sparks, how do I do an expose when the main reason for doing it was Justice. 

We then arrived at Christian's apartment as I head up. I open the elevator door as I hear the fire alarm going off. Why does this situation seem so familiar!?

I hurry to the kitchen to see Christian with a fire extinguisher as he put out a blazing fire on the stove.

"Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!", he yelled out of breath.

"Hello there", I say as he jumped.

"Michael! Don't scare me like that", he said.

"Whatya doing?", I say as I look at him. 

"Was trying to make us dinner... I failed terribly, again", he sighed. 

"How sweet", I say as I walk up to him and kissed him. 

"How does one screw up french toast!", he said.

"You almost burned the building down making french toast?", I say in disbelief. 

"I'm sorry", he says as I kiss him.

"Let's order pizza", I say as I hug him.

"You're the best", I say. 

"Chrisitan, we need to talk", I say as I hold his hand. 

"Oh my god! You're leaving me!", he says.

"Oh, gosh no. It's about my interview tomorrow", I say.

I know Christian doesn't support the interview and would prefer it not happen but this is something I have to do, I will no longer keep secrets from you Christian. I then told him I met his mother and about the secret society. 

"Sounds like she's just trying to scare you", says Christian.

"These are the same people that kidnapped Anna and Kevin", I say to him. 

"Okay, I'll get more security. I won't let anyone hurt you Michael", he says as he kisses my forehead.

"This interview will put your mother in prison Christian..", I say as he looked away.

"She need's to pay for what she has done", he says. 

"My thoughts exactly", I say to him.

"It'll be okay, once we put this Briarcliff situation behind us we can finally move on", he says. 

Put this situation behind us huh? Something tells me I will never forget the Briarcliff Incident...

And just like that the interview with Liam Teller began, it was the interview I will always regret...
