Gem's Office...

We walked in and I smiled. Gem was sitting on a seat that could only be described as a bonfire. I had no idea what she did but she stood and the fire was gone. Her red hair turned back to black and just as long as straight as ever.

"Good morning. I was just sneaking in some fire energy." She cleared her throat and sat on a sofa. That was how I thought she would always be but she was back to being a prestigious lawyer.

I laughed. "We are all so weird!" I sat on a chair with Peri and crossed my legs. Chance sat beside Citron and Basil sat on the other side of Dr. Comet. They were so cute.

Gem nodded at Citron. "Go on."

Citron looked comfortable but he always did. He was one of those people that could look comfortable in a herd of vampires while he was slaying them or on the couch in Gem's office. "Our Gen here has an idea that needs adjustment but... let's get your take on it."

Dr. Comet cleared his throat. "Dasha, (Which means Ma'am in Pixie, I think. I'm picking up a little here and there. It's a word that shows a very high respect.) "I believe we have a way to help ourselves and maybe help the vampires. We know that they only come out looking for food. Now, we know what their food is, we can help them, like we helped Viper."

Peri glared. "But Viper is different!" He was about to go on a rampage and I stopped him.

"Hey, we all know that. Listen... then yell." I took his hand and he calmed down.

Citron cleared his throat and chuckled silently. I was proud that he didn't say something snarky. We all moved on without a word that I knew someone wanted to say something snarky.

Dr. Comet continued. "We have learned a lot from Viper and I also learned that they don't remember being anything else. They are vampires. They don't know anything from their past... so I figured we can use some of Peri's magic, Viper's food and some medicine... and a little military and maybe we can create a place for them to live where they can't escape and kill people."

Citron nodded. "And maybe be content."

Peri sighed. "It sounds very 'happily ever after', I would rather kill them all!"

I cleared my throat. "Peri, they deserve a chance. Just one...?"

Peri rolled his eyes in the sexiest manner. "Whatever. I can't stop you. You have my opinion but you always have my help, even if I disagree."

I smiled. "Same here, Peri."

"Fifty..." Peri sighed and took my hand in his. I smiled at our entwined fingers as Gem took over the meeting.

Gem smiled at us. "It's good to see you both like this. I love this idea. Run some simulations and let's find out the best way to solve this problem. Can we keep their food supply coming?"

Citron nodded. "We can and we can drop food daily or weekly."

"Daily.. I think that would be the best and maybe that would help with their mental health also. Maybe they could build lives instead of just killing for food." I sighed. They weren't my people but they were people that needed help. "They need a space and restrictions because they are dangerous but...They are still people and as I have no loyalty towards them... I just... I feel bad that they struggle and most probably don't want to hurt people or kill but they have to live! We can't actually kill them all even if we tried.. We don't have the manpower and there is only one of me! I mean..."

Citron nodded. "Viper, easy! We know. It's good to know that you don't hold grudges!" I was grateful to Citron for stopping my rant.

Chance sighed. "I was hoping we could kill them all!"

Citron nodded. "Agreed but... we are giving them a chance and a way to understand them. They get this one chance to change."

Chance smirked. "And if they fail, when they fail... we can kill them!"

Citron nodded. "Absolutely!" He was with Chance on this one.

Dr. Comet glared at them. "Until then, we have to try to help them."

I growled in response. I guess we were trying this once. "They get this one chance."

Gem nodded. "I want reports and results from the simulations and real numbers for food, soldiers, manpower and expenses."

Citron nodded. "You'll have updates weekly, Ma'am."

We all left the office with a lot of work to start. We were changing the world as we knew it.
