It disrupted the morning's peace easily, scattering as it traveled through the paper thin walls. If Calum hadn't been awake right then, he surely would have been shoved out of dreamland immediately.

Disoriented and confused, Calum remembered flying home, which explained his surroundings, he also remembered having shown up at the airport where the rest of the lads followed him onto a plane.

Which would explain the yelling, sort of.

Calum forced himself on to his feet, stumbling down the hall, passed the bathroom and into the only other room that occupied this floor. The guest room. He was pretty sure that's where Michael was because he hadn't seen him the night before, which only made him worry more.

Despite the fact that there was yelling coming from inside, Calum knocked on the door quietly. The yelling did not crease or even pause upon Calum's quiet tapping joining the noise.

He opened the door to a seemingly normal guest room, everything was in order and not a single thing was out of place. A duffel bag was pushed up against the foot of the bed and the comforter was cocooning someone. The yelling didn't seem quite as loud now that Calum had entered the room, possibly even subsided.

The guest room was a tad bit bigger than his own, having chosen the smaller room for the less creaky floor. It seemed like an unnecessary task trying to maneuver to the bed without making too much noise.

Calum decided it would be wise to skip the rest of the space remaining by jumping on to the bed from where he was, it worked out surprisingly well.

"Michael?" He murmured to the still yelling figure in the bed, hand instinctively coming to rest on the sleeping boy's thigh. It was like he'd flipped a switch, the yelling halted all at once and Calum furrowed his eyebrows. It was odd to say the least, but there wasn't much he could do about it.

Afraid that removing his hand would make Michael start yelling again, he stayed. Eventually risking it so he could sit on the other side of the bed in order to look out the window. There wasn't much of a view from the window, Calum never quite found the appeal of big city life even if he lived in a quieter part. He could see across the road, and maybe three houses in either direction. The sun rose from this side of the house and Calum kind of regretted laying claim to the smaller bedroom because of it.

It was odd if anything else that he ended up sitting and watching the sun, it never really intrigued him before Michael had found him that one day in the park.

There were a few times during practice that the sun would blind him but that was about it.

He sighed, getting a little more comfortable. He fixed the blinds so there wasn't a chance that the sun could blind him this time and he waited.
