The next day at school, everyone wondered why Jalecki was being dragged in the air on a hook lift truck to school with little to no warning.

Zabel smiled. "Wouldn't it be fun to take it for a bit of a joyride?"

Kamnika gave him an eyebrow. "For what?"

"It's personal," dropping the smirk. "Don't you ever want the power to rise higher than anyone?"

"Like a god," she asked, tending to one of the pet lemurs for the school. "I'd rather use that power to help those who can't fend from themselves. I'm not selfish like you."

"Is that what you think?"

"Excuse me, hothead?"

"What's wrong with power being used by someone who can't fend from themselves. In the animal kingdom, predator and prey exists. Why can't the prey fight back for once?"

"Well it's survival of the fittest in some civilizations. There needs to be a balance for the ecosystem to survive or they could spread stuff around diseases to plants."

"Why should it be that way? Why do someone people get to survive while others don't! That's completely unfair!"

Shocked by his intensity, she dropped the lemur, who crawled on top of his head while he grabbed her hand.

"Don't you think we should do something about it?"

"Huh?" Her face grew red. "What can we do?"

"Well something obviously. Come on, let's go to the science teacher!"

He ended up dragging her, too embarrassed and confused by his change in behavior to respond as they headed into the building.
