Chapter 10
Sapientiae is pronounced SAP-PINE-TIE by the way ;)
Elora rode beside Peter, they were going to see Sapientiae, some called him the wisest centaur in Narnia.
"Less than a mile to go." Peter said. Elora sighed.
"Good, we'll be back before anyone really notices we're gone." She stated. Peter nodded.
"Exactly. And if Sapientiae doesn't know about Mitis and Gratia, I'll...I'll eat my boots... or something." Peter shrugged. Elora smirked.
"I would promise anything. It seems like no one wants to talk about it." She laughed. Peter smiled.
"Probably so." He said, laughing along with her, easing the tension and stress of the past week.
They both were silent. Then Elora began to laugh again at the thought of Peter eating hi boots. Peter realized it had been nearly a week since Elora had genuinely laughed. Edmund didn't know how much she was hurting.n
"Please don't eat your boots. I don't want to know where those boots have been." She said, he smiled and looked down at his boots.
"We're here." He murmured. Elora straightened herself and took a deep breath, trying to wipe the smile off her face, before they could even get off their horses the centaur came out and spoke.
"High King Peter, Queen Elora." He bowed to both of them. "How are you?" He asked, both tetrarchs bowed slightly in return.
"Fairly well." Peter spoke for both of them.
"I'm sorry. King Peter. That you will not have the lovely opportunity of eating your boots. The goats say ut is quite the treat." He said, in all centaur seriousness.
Peter snorted and Elora bit her lip to keep from laughing.
"You know about Gratia and Mitis!? Can you tell us?" The centaur nodded.
"Yes. Come in. We'll have tea and then we'll talk."
