BACKSTORY

she was born to gianna geller while the woman was at work. she wasn't supposed to be born, of course, but her mother refused to sell her to reginald, even though she wasn't planned. she discovered her powers at age 7, when she was getting bullied at school and ran away, thinking that she wanted to be invisible so that the other kids could not pick on her anymore. that's what happened. all of a sudden, she and everyone around her could not see her anymore. 

she had initially panicked, but when she got used to her powers, she embraced it and did her best to master it. she learned about the umbrella academy and went to look for the kids that were like her, wanting to interact with them. she found them at age 19, and although she enjoyed her time with them a lot, she never moved in with them or joined the academy, despite reginald's consisting persistence. 

she does her best to help klaus overcome his drug problem, knowing that it wasn't easy seeing the dead and not being able to help them. she wanted him to know that he wasn't alone, and with her as his friend, he never would be. she started liking him when she turned 24, and she continued to do her best to make him feel better about his power. she'd sometimes make him invisible with her, and they would run away somewhere, somewhere where the dead people would not be able to find him. they got together on the night of their 26th birthday.
