nadya miller - okay relationship with natalie - born a kook, she was raised in money. she has a full-time job working in her family business. she isn't home much, and she uses the excuse that she's the only breadwinner in the family as an excuse. she does sometimes take some time-off, but more often than not, she will go on a vacation when she does so. when natalie was younger, she sometimes used to go with her, or be left in the care of her nanny.

BACKSTORY 

the miller's only child, natalie was destined for great things. the miller's were a well off family, and most everyone on the island knew who they were. natalie was raised by her nanny mostly as her mother and father both worked full-time jobs. her father used to come home earlier than her mother, however, and he loved spending time with his little girl. they used to play together, watch movies and sometimes he'd let the little girl do his make up.

at just 4 years of age, natalie lost her father to cancer, and is still very sensitive on the matter. at first, she didn't understand why her father suddenly stopped being in her life, and was waiting for him to come back, hoping that he was just away on a trip. however, as more time passed she came to understand what had happened and was deeply saddened by the prospect of never seeing her father again.

her mother began to work more, stating that she needs to work, both so they could live the life they were accustomed to, and to keep her mind off of the loss of her husband. natalie grew older and started to see things differently than her mother. she understood that they needed the money, so her mother had to work, however she never understood why they needed so much money, and why her mother seemed as if she preferred to work than spend time with her daughter.

her breaking point was when her mother started taking some time-off of work, and instead of spending time with natalie, she'd go on vacation alone. it was in this time when natalie and her mother had a big fight and didn't speak for almost 3 months, before her mother apologised and promised it wouldn't happen again. of course, she'd later go back on her promise, claiming to go on business trips when in reality, she'd be going for pleasure.

natalie still hasn't understood why her mother seemed to dislike her so much, however she has got used to it... she had to. in school, she used to stay with other kooks, kiara, rafe and topper mostly. once, kiara invited her on a boat ride and she mentioned that there would be pogues there. her mother, of course, didn't want her to go, which gave natalie more of a reason to do it. that day, she met pope, john b and jj and she instantly clicked with them.

she started hanging out with them and eventually, she started to have feelings for john b.
