(I DID ONE FOR ROMEG, TIME TO DO ONE FOR MEGIKA! My sister introduced me to this song yesterday and as soon as I heard the chorus, I thought "MONIKA". So here I am! I wish I could've done this one Saturday, because that was technically Monika's 'birthday' but I'm not waiting until September 22nd 2019 to do this-)

It was Monika's birthday a couple days ago, so I decided to take her out on a picnic! I know, I know I should've done it ON her birthday, but I couldn't! She had a little birthday get together with Sayori, Yuri, and Natsuki. Apparently, they all have the same birthday. How ironic! I packed food, half of it was vegetarian for her, my phone for the music, and a blanket. Oh, I forgot to mention, this was all a surprise. So as I drove to the park, (PRETEND IM OLD ENOUGH TO DRIVE), Monika had to wear a blindfold. We arrived and I set everything up before leading the birthday girl to the spot.

"Meg, I can't wait any longer! What's the surprise?"

"Hey now, patience is a virtue, Monika," I giggled as I replied. "Besides, we're almost there! I promise."

A couple minutes pass.

"Alright! You can take off your blindfold.... NOW!" Monika removed the garment from her eyes to see the perfect picnic all set up.

"Meg! D-Did you do all this for me?"

"Of course I did! It was your birthday after all. But, you should know, I'd do this anyway." This made Monika blush. She's so cute when she blushes! We sit down and I begin the music. The first song to come up was "Helpless" from Hamilton. We were both a couple of musical nerds, especially Hamilton! Monika likes it because of it's educational and historical foundation. I like it because it's catchy. After a couple minutes of eating, a song that wasn't part of a musical came on. It was a relatively new song, for me at least, since it's actually been out for like two years. I don't think Monika's ever heard it, but every time I listen, I can't help but think of her. Specifically, the chorus makes her cross my mind.

I looked into Monika's twinkling emerald eyes as that last line played and I notice her cheeks beginning to grow a deep rosy shade.

I seriously need to check and see what some of these lyrics mean. 'British Bomb'? It's lines like that I can't help but laugh at, and Monika joined in.

I stood up before the chorus began and extended my hand toward Monika.

"Care to dance?" She grabbed my hand as she rose up from where she was sitting.

I never noticed what a good dancer she is... I should've expected it from her... I normally suck at dancing, but somehow when I lose myself in those eyes, I'm actually able to dance a bit without tripping. Almost like magic!

Monika and I got closer and closer as the instrumental began.

"Meg? ...Thank you. For everything. For the picnic, for the song, for... for putting up with me.."

"Putting up with you? Monika, I should be thanking you for putting up with me! You're amazing and I'm... well, not."

"That isn't true! Would someone who isn't amazing make sure to pack things their partner would like? Would someone who isn't amazing offer to dance during a song? Would someone who isn't amazing put all this together just because of a birthday?" I began to smile a bit, seeing that Monika truly cared for me, as I do her.

"...Thanks..."

"No. Thank you," she said with a warm smile, as we got closer and closer, noses now touching.
