"Don't worry, Caitlin, you'll drum up the bravery to tell him when the time is right." Barry placed a comforting hand on her shoulder.

Her eyebrows furrowed together. "The time is never going to be right. Just look at our daily lives. What we call normal." she pressed a button and spoke into a mic. "Cisco, I need you in the cortex."

"Woah, are you sure about this? You want to tell him right now?" Barry stood up, just wanting to make sure Caitlin didn't make any bad impulse decisions while she was feeling vulnerable.

"That's not encouraging." Caitlin's face flushed with panic.

"You're right, I'm sorry. You can do this. No matter what, in the end, Cisco cares about you and always will. Nothing is going to change that." Barry nodded, his eyes showing empathy.

"Okay" her face softened.

"You summoned me?" Cisco entered the room.

"I'll see you guys later." Barry gave Caitlin a discreet wink before wooshing from sight, but not from earshot. He would not miss this.

"Caitlin? What's going on?" Cisco sat down in the chair next to her.

"I need to tell you something. It's important. I've been putting it off for a while, but I can't keep secrets from you."

Cisco took her shoulders in his hands. "Hey, are you okay?"

"I'm fine, Cisco. I just," she paused.

"What is it?"

"I have." she let out a sigh, her nerves trying to take over. Why was she so nervous? She told Cisco everything!

"Feelings. For someone."

"Really?? Who is he? I have to approve now, you know our deal." he prodded for the specific detail she was avoiding.

"I think you'd like him" she laughed nervously, picking at the plum polish on her nails.

"Well, who is he??"

"You" she finally choked out.

There was a moment of silence that felt like 30 minutes to her.

"Me?"
