There! I thought, as I set my pencil down for the last time that week. School is over, it's FRIDAY, and I've got TV to watch! Wait... Mom.

I sighed and opened my bedroom door, then walked into the living room. Mom was reading a book. "Hey, Mom?"

"Hmm?" She responded without even looking up.

"Can I please watch TV in my room? School's over, and I already did my chores this morning."

She still didn't look up. "What are you going to watch?"

What else? "Doctor Who. See, I kinda want to re-watch the episodes where-"

"Fine, fine, you can; just shut the door so I don't have to hear it."

I smiled. "Thanks, Mom." She didn't respond as I turned and left.

I sighed happily as I entered my room. Time to get ready! I opened my window curtain to let some light in, but not enough light to distract me from watching the TV. I turned the light switch off, then grabbed the remotes and crawled into my bed.

I turned on the TV and went to the episode list. "Hmm... How about..." Doomsday popped up on the list. I quickly scrolled past it. "Nope! Not in the mood." I flipped to season five, then thought out loud for a moment. "Maybe I should watch some with the Tenth Doctor. It's been a while..."

I finally settled on The Christmas Invasion. Perfect!

I pressed 'play,' then smiled as the episode started. "Geronimo! Wait; no... Allons-y!" I grinned at my own words.

"Am I... Ginger?"

"No, you're just sort of... brown."

"Aw, but I want to be ginger!"

I giggled at the Doctor as he gave his "I don't know who I am" speech. Then I heard a soft tap. It came from the window.

I reluctantly pressed 'pause,' then got out of my bed and looked out the window. I didn't see anything out of the ordinary. Maybe I just imagined it.

I snuggled back under the covers and pressed 'play' again.

{By the way, this character is homeschooled. Just wanted to make that clear... Also, I've decided to alternate publishing this book and "The Detective" on Fridays. Each one will be updated every other Friday. So, I will publish the first part of "The Detective" one week from today!
