Chapter 31 - The Imperfect Date
*****Possible Trigger*****
This is a heads up for those of physical abuse. The end of this chapter may or may not trigger bad experiences for some of my readers. All the end events are solely fiction and any relation to real life events are purely circumstantial. For those of you have been abused, you do not have to read the end if you don't want to. I never want anyone to have to relive an old nightmare that they have already survived through once before.

TIME seemed to stand still as the music started in the background. You weren't sure how it started playing. And at the moment you didn't care. All you cared about was Ignis as he stood in front of you in the middle of the dance floor and took your hand in his.
He deeply bowed down with the first few words. But he never took his eyes off of you as you deeply curtsied in return. Your eyes were glued to his as you watched him give your hand a gentle kiss. You couldn't help but to smile in return, which brought a smile to his passionate eyes.
"I think it's time I showed you how much I've missed you." Ignis said in a deep accented tone that sent a thrill through you.
He then stood back up and raised up your hand as he slowly spun you into him. Then he placed his other hand on your waist. Your heart started to pound as you looked into his bright emerald eyes. He give you a slight smile as his fingers fanned out. Your skin began to tingle as his fingers pulled you closer to him.
And without realizing it, he had you smoothly gliding across the dance floor. The familiar song seemed to take over your bodies as the two of you moved to the rhythm. Your shoes seemed to float across the floor, as he moved you gracefully through each measure and step. Your eyes never left his as you danced in perfect unison with each step and spin.
"I wish you could see this Jim." Marge said quietly to herself as she stood by the cd player that was playing next to the microphone. "They look so beautiful together. They truly are a special couple."
"You would be proud of them." She barely said as tears started to stream down her face.
Your hair flared out with each spin and your heart fluttered each time he pulled you back to him. You never wanted the music to end as the two of you enjoyed the moment. And you could feel the heat coming from him as you watched his eyes darken the longer that you danced. His fingers slightly tensed up each time he pulled you closer and closer after each spin. Until you were completely flush against him as you took the last step on the last note.
You both stood there for a moment, slightly out of breath. His deep emerald eyes seemed to devour you as he slowly searched your face. Then without saying a word, he leaned in and captured your lips. Your eyes fluttered shut as his tongue slipped into your mouth. You reached up and slid your fingers through his hair as you let the heat take over.
You just barely heard a slight moan from him as he tightened up his grip on you as he pulled you closer. Your body melted against him as he passionately kissed you. He slid one hand up to your neck and the other down to your waist as he pulled you harder against him. You slightly moaned in return as you savored his firm embrace. This was who you truly wanted. And no one else would ever replace him.
"I see that everything is as expected down here." Marge heard Korn quietly say as he walked up and stood beside her.
"It is now." She replied as they watched the two of you slowly pull away and beam at each other.

"Alright." Paul said as he started to wipe his hands off on a clean rag as he stood at the front of his car with the hood up. "I think that's everything."
"Good. Now that your done with the cars." Tracy said from the doorway to the garage, as she held a curious Nathaniel in her arms. "Someone wants you to put him down for the night."
"I'll be right there." Paul said as he tossed the rag into the rag bucket.
"Alright." Tracy said as she headed back into the house. "Don't forget to wash up. And don't take too long. You know how fussy he gets when he's tired."
"I know, I won't be long." He said back as he watched Tracy close the door behind herself.
Paul then turned back towards the car. Then with a sigh, he closed the hood and started to clean up. And in the total silence of the garage, he couldn't help but to become lost in his thoughts again. He knew that Tracy was trying to get him use to walking into Derek's old room again. And especially after all the work that the two of you had done to get it set up for Nathaniel.
And he wanted to get use to it again. But every time he stepped into the room, he felt his heart start to break all over again. Sure the full bed had been replaced with a beautiful crib and changing table. And there was now a well cushioned glider by the window with a table next to it for feeding times.
But he still couldn't shake the feeling of Derek within that room. At times he swore that he could still smell Derek's cologne. Which of course he knew was impossible. Eight years was a long time for a scent to linger in a room. Even if the room had been closed up for most of that time.
Paul dropped his head as he put away the last tool in his standup tool box. Hell, almost every night he could swear that he heard Derek walking into the house after work. Paul could practically hear the purr of his car pulling up to the house. Or even the jingle of keys in the front hallway.
But what he missed the most was their talks after Derek got home. The two of them would sit in the living room or on the porch drinking a beer as they talked. Derek would tell him all about the different people who came in on the ferry at Gauldin Quay. Especially the people that he had served that night. Those were the conversations that Paul would never forget.
It's foolish of me to think that he will ever come home again. Paul thought to himself as he slowly closed up his tool box. Especially after seeing how bad he was hurt. And we knew he might not make it through surgery.
Hell. No one could've survived what he went through. Paul thought as he close his eyes. Not even me.
Paul then opened his eyes as he looked up at the wall in front of him. And that was when his eyes came to rest on the picture of him and Derek once again. Immediately he felt his chest start to get tight again. The night that Derek died had been the longest and most painful night of his life. And one that would forever haunt him for not being there for his son when he needed him most.
It should have been me, not you. Paul thought as he stepped up to the work bench. I was the one that they wanted. And we knew it. But we still let you leave that night. And for what?
"Paul!" Tracy called out and broke him out of his train of thought. "Are you coming? Nathaniel is getting fussy."
"Coming." Paul called back before he looked away from the picture and turned out the light as he walked back inside the house.

You felt your heart slightly drop as Ignis pulled up in front of your house. You didn't want the night to end. Not after finally getting Ignis all to yourself for the first time since the night of the thunderstorm. Which was already starting to seem like a lifetime ago.
"Well, I guess I won't see you until the wedding rehearsal." You said as you dropped your gaze and started to nervously rub your hands.
"Actually, I had something in mind for tomorrow if your interested." Ignis said as he turned and looked at you.
You paused for a moment before you slowly looked over at him. "And what would that be?"
"I seem to remember that you use to enjoy going to the park that is right beside the citadel." Ignis said as he gave you a hopeful smile. "Would you be up for a private picnic?"
Your heart skipped a beat as you searched his face to make sure that he wasn't joking. "Are you serious?"
"I'm always serious when it comes to you." Ignis replied as he ran his fingers across your forehead as he moved your hair to the side. "I'm also hoping that this might be a way to make up to you for being pulled away so much. And what better way then by taking some time out for just the two of us. That is, if you would be okay with that?"
Your heart flittered from his words as you slowly cracked a smile as you started to get excited. "That's more than okay."
"Perfect." Ignis practically whispered as his thumb brushed across cheek.
"Hmm?" You asked as you searched his eyes.
Ignis slightly smiled as he slowly shook his head. Then he cup your cheek as he leaned in and placed his lips on yours. Instantly you melted as his soft lips kissed you tenderly. Ignis pulled you closer as he deepened the kiss by slipping his tongue into your mouth.
Then everything outside of the car faded away into the background. Until all that remained was the two of you. Which made your heart soar as you tenderly kissed him back.
And for a few moments, all you cared about was how great it felt to kiss him again. And this time there weren't any interruptions or preying eyes. It was just the two of you as you became lost in the moment. At least until you pulled away breathlessly.
"I'll be by in the morning to pick you up." Ignis said as he brushed his thumb against your cheek again.
"Okay." You replied with a smile before you gave him one more quick kiss before you climbed out of the car.
You weren't quite sure how you slept that night, considering all you could think of was Ignis. And what the two of you would be doing as you hung out at the park. Which went from a simple picnic of tea and sandwiches. To the two of you making out on the lush grass before you both few over the edge of pure ecstasy.
But either way, it felt like a lifetime had gone by since you had gone to the park during the day. But you could still picture the sparkling water of the pond and you could practically hear the birds chirping in the trees as children's laughter filled the background. You even dreamt that you were once again swinging through the air as you tried to see who could go the highest with the rhythmic sound of chains creaked with each pass. Which made you think back to the day that you had first met Ignis.
That had been the best day of my life. You thought with a smile as you got dressed in a light floral dress and sandals. And I can't wait to see what he has planned for today.
You beamed in the mirror as you put on a bit of makeup. You had already talked to Brian about taking the day off. And he gratefully said it was okay since it was Sunday. Which meant that it wouldn't be too busy. Besides, Loqi would be there, and he did owe you a night.
"(Y/n), can you come down please? There's someone here to see you." You heard Tracy's voice shout from the staircase.
"Coming!" You said excitedly as you quickly grabbed your light sweater wrap and headed downstairs.
But after bouncing down the stairs as you started to get excited to see Ignis. You almost fell down them instead. Since instead of Ignis standing there by the door beaming at you, you saw Gwen's parents standing there talking to your dad. Her mom was in tears as her dad held his wife from behind as if he was holding her up.
"And your certain that she's not at a friend's house or something." Your dad was asking as you slowly walked up to them.
"No." Her mom replied through her tears. "We have checked with everyone else. But no one seems to know where she is."
"That's why we came here." Her dad continued as her mom struggled to stay calm. "We were hoping that your daughter might know where she is."
"Perhaps." Your dad replied before he looked over and saw you stop a short distance from them.
"Is Gwen missing?" You asked in a low tone.
But the moment that those words left your lips, you wished you hadn't said them. Because instantly Gwen's mom burst into tears. And it took her dad tightening his grip on his wife to keep her from collapsing to the floor. Which slightly scared you as you quickly looked at your dad. Who in turn slightly dropped his head.
"She never came home from school." Gwen's dad said over the mournful cries of his wife as he slowly met your gaze. "She was suppose to come home and spend the weekend with us. But she never showed up."
You felt your jaw drop. And all you could do was stare at them in shock as you felt your breath leave you. She's missing? Like actually missing? But how can that be? I just saw her?
"Are you sure that's she's not just hanging out at Jason's place?" You asked as you watched them.
"We......we just came from there." Gwen's mom said through her tears. "But he hasn't seen her since she left his place Saturday morning. He's checking with the campus security to see if they had seen her after leaving his house."
"What about Trish?" You asked as you looked back and forth between them. "She would know. Those two are always together."
"We can't find Trish either." Her dad answered. "Her parents are at the police department right now putting in a missing person's report."
You felt your heart plummet as their words hit you. Their both missing. That's crazy!
"Does Trish's parents have any idea where they might have gone?" Your dad seemed to ask in the background as you became lost in thought.
"No." Gwen's dad said as his wife trembled in his arms. "Their just as lost we are."
"Let me get in contact with Korn and arrange a meeting with him for you." Your dad said as he grabbed his wallet from the shelf by the front door and pulled out one of his business cards before he handed it to her dad. "Call me if anything comes up. And I'll be contact you when we can meet up."
"Thank you." Gwen's mom said through her tears. "I knew that we could count on you."
"I haven't found out anything yet." Your dad said in a gentle tone. "But I won't give up until I do."
"We really appreciate it." Her dad answered as he reached out his hand to your dad.
"Any time Gregory." Your dad said as he shook his hand. "Now you need to get Sania home and wait to hear word from Gwen or possible her captures. I'll arrange for a team to keep you two safe and to help with anything that you need."
"Thank you Paul." Gregory answered before he released your dad's hand
Then there was a knock on the door. Everyone turned and saw Ignis standing by the door. You could just barely make out his shocked expression to seeing Gwen's parents at your house. Your dad glanced at him and nodded before he looked at you.
You gave him a conflicting look. But he only smiled at you.
"You can go. I'll see you tonight." He said to you.
"Are you sure?" You asked. "Maybe I can help."
"Not this time kiddo." Your dad answered. "Leave this to me. Okay? My teams are better at this kind of thing."
You slightly nodded your head as you dropped your gaze since you knew your dad was right. What could you possible do that could help, that his team would be able to do a lot faster. And your dad was certainly better at tracking people down then you ever were. It was a huge part of his job after all.
"Is everything okay?" Ignis asked as he looked around the group.
"(Y/n) can explain it to you later." Your dad answered. "But for now, go enjoy yourselves."
Ignis simply nodded at your dad. Then he turned to you. You slowly headed to the door and grabbed your house keys before you left.
"I'll see you tonight." Your dad said.
"Okay." You quietly replied as you forced yourself out of the house. "Love you."
"Love you too, kiddo." You heard your dad replied as you walked out the door.
You explained to Ignis what had happened in the car as he drove over to the park. But even as you said it, it felt like an old nightmare was coming back. Except this time, you were the one left behind. Which didn't make you feel any better. Instead it left you feeling helpless as you sat quietly in the car.
Ignis didn't really say anything either. Except to ask a few questions. And even they were the same ones that you had ask. Then he fell silent as he pulled into the park. It wasn't until he parked the car and turn to you that the silence was broken.
"I know that your dad said that you can't help." Ignis said as he wrapped his hand around yours. "But perhaps we could help another way."
"What do you mean?" You asked as you gave him a confused look.
"Both Gwen and Trish are missing, this we know. But what we don't know is if Jason and Brady are doing anything to assist." Ignis said as he watched you. "So instead of helping out your dad, perhaps we could help Jason and Brady with finding them."
A slow smile started to come across your face as you thought about what he said. "I hadn't thought about that."
Ignis smiled back at you as he gave your hand a kiss. "You would have."
You felt a hint of heat rise to your cheeks as you slightly dropped your gaze. "I don't know about that."
"I do." Ignis said in a sure tone as he pulled out his phone and dialed Jason's number.
Soon you heard the phone ringing through his car. Which made you quickly look around to see if anyone could hear it. But with all of the other cars being on the total opposite side of the parking lot, you started to relax. They certainly couldn't hear from that far away if anyone was to walk to their car.
"Relax love." Ignis said as he watched you. "My car is sound proof and bullet proof."
You quickly turned and looked at him in shock. "What...are you serious?"
Ignis simply nodded as Jason picked up.
"Skylar here." You heard Jason's voice rang through the car.
"Jason, I have (y/n) with me. And we were wondering if we could assist you with locating Gwen and Trish." Ignis asked as smoothly as if he was asking about a class assignment.
"So you heard." Jason replied in a flat tone. "Of course I shouldn't be surprised. You do have a way of finding out things long before we do."
"It just happened to be by chance this time around." Ignis replied as he gave you a quick glance. "Gwen's parents were over at (y/n) house when I arrived to pick her up this morning."
"They said that they were heading over there next."
"They did?" Ignis asked.
"Yeah. And I'm glad that they did. They'll need all the help that they can get to find them."
"They mentioned to my dad that they had just left there." You continued as you glanced at Ignis. "And they were there to ask for my dad's help."
"I'm not surprised. They spoke very highly of your dad and how he had saved them before."
"He wasn't the only one who saved them." Ignis added as he squeezed your hand. "If it wasn't for (y/n) quick thinking, none of them would have gotten away from the empire."
"Then perhaps you could help. If you had gotten them out, maybe you could help me to at least find out a bit more information about what happened to the girls." Jason said in a hopeful tone. "I have to save her Iggy. I have to get her back."
"I know what you mean." Ignis said as he locked eyes with you as he gave your hand a slow kiss.
"Can you stop by this afternoon so that we can talk? Brady and I'll be at home then."
"Where are you now?" You asked.
"We're checking in with campus security and their sorority house to see if anyone knows anything."
"Won't that interfere with the investigation?" You asked as you nervously glanced at Ignis.
"Not at all." Jason calmly replied. "Your dad had already called me and told me to inform him of what I found out. Let alone get names and phone numbers for everyone that I talk to so that he can ask them any other questions."
"That sounds like him alright." You quietly replied. "He has always been quick to jump right into a case."
"Which is good in this situation." Ignis replied as glanced around the car. "Time is of the essence after all. And the faster that we find them, the safer that they'll be."
"Hey, I gotta go. The officer is coming back." Jason said as the chief of the Campus security police started to walk towards him. "Stop by later and we'll fill you in with what we find out."
"We will." You said before the phone cut out.
"Well there's nothing else that we can do at the moment." Ignis said as he started to gather up his things before he turned to you. "So let's try to relax and enjoy our picnic."
"Okay." You replied as you realized that he was right.
After finding a quiet and secluded place to set-up, Ignis carefully placed the blanket down while you held the picnic basket. Then the two of you pulled off your shoes and sat on the blanket. Ignis then pulled out the food and carefully placed it out for the two of you. The simple, yet well set up lunch looked delicious. And the tantalizing smell was already making your stomach growl.
Ignis gave you a smile as he heard your stomach give a low grumble. "Sounds like our timing is perfect."
"Your timing is always perfect." You replied with a smile as you sat with your legs out to one side as you leaned on the opposite arm. "And your meals always make any stomach growl."
"Then let me help you solve that." Ignis said as he picked up a peach slice and held it in front of you.
You smiled at him as you leaned in and slowly wrapped your lips around the peach. Your lips just barely touched his fingertips as you slowly sat back. Then you bit down and had to close your eyes as the sweet flavor filled your mouth. You hummed your delight as you chewed up the juicy fruit.
Ignis slightly smiled as he watched you. He started to heat up as he watched you lick your lips as you opened your eyes back up. And the thought of tasting the fruit juices on your lips had him reaching for another piece of fruit. Which made you smile broadly as you leaned in for the next one.
But this time he held up a strawberry. And as soon as your lips wrapped around it. His lips were on yours. Which surprised you at first. But then after you bit down and the juice started to fill your mouth, his tongue slipped inside your mouth and mixed in with the sweet taste.
His tongue explored your mouth as you kissed. Then he pulled away and you swallowed the last bites of the delicious flavor. You smiled at him as he sat back and licked his own lips. Which made you slightly blush from the intimate moment.
"I apologize for that. But I had to see if it tasted as good as you made it look." Ignis said as he shyly smiled at you.
You smiled as you picked up a strawberry yourself.
"To be honest. I think it tasted better the second time." You said as he held out the strawberry to him.
He smirked back at you. Then he leaned in and took the whole strawberry in his mouth. But as he leaned back, his tongue slightly caressed your finger. You felt a thrill run through you that seemed to settle in your core.
You then watched him bite down on the strawberry as his eyes darkened, as if to silently invite you to taste as well. Which you quickly did as you leaned forward and kissed him. He quickly parted his lips and darted his tongue in your mouth. Immediately your mouth was once again filled with the sweet strawberry and his hungry tongue as it wrapped around yours again.
You reached behind his head and pulled him closer as your fingers ran up into his hair. He slightly moaned as he leaned into you. Then his hand wrapped around your waist and pulled you closer to him. Your arms then slid around his neck as he slowly laid you back on the blanket.
Then he moved away from your lips and started to kiss your neck. You quickly swallowed the last bite of strawberry as you heart rate started to increase. Then you gasped as he kissed right behind your ear. And you heard him moan against you.
"Let me hear your pleasure." He said in a deep rugged voice.
You softly groaned as he slightly sucked on your neck as he hand slid down to your waist. Then he pulled you hard against him. A deep moan escaped from him as his hard need pressed against you. You whole body shivered as he slightly rocked his hips.
"I want you so bad right now." You heard him say against your neck as he rocked his hips harder against you.
"Then take me." You groaned out as you felt the heat rapidly growing between your legs.
"Not here." He said as he thrusted again. "Not yet."
"Then when?" You asked as he slowly leaned back and looked at you.
"When you least expect it." He replied as he moved a stray hair behind your ear.
You stared at his eyes as they became deep caverns of dark emerald green. You started to get lost on them as a heated smile crossed his soft lips. He then leaned in and gave you long, slow passionate kiss. You ran your fingers through his hair as you became engulfed in his touch and never wanted to let go.
After what seemed like an eternity, he slowly leaned back and looked at you. You laid there breathless with swollen lips from the heated exchange. His eyes seemed to shine as he looked at you. Which made you start to think that the pictures that Loqi had showed you had been fake.
"Let's eat our food before the we continue." He said in his usual tone before his eyes blazed at you again. "We'll be needing the energy for later."
"Okay." You replied as you ran your fingers across his forehead.
He then smiled as he leaned back and pulled you up with him. Then the two of you sat up and started to enjoy the food and a simple, casual conversation. Which soon made you forgot your worries for a moment. Something that both of you needed.
"Let us go!" Trish shouted through the steel bars that held her captive. "You have no right to keep us like this!"
"Shutup!" The big burly guard shouted as he threw a glass of water at her. "No one wants to hear your shit."
Some of the water flew in her throat and made her start to cough. And since her arms were restrained behind her back, she couldn't wipe away the rest as it dropped in her eyes. All she could do was shake her head to try and get it out of her eyes. Which just barely worked.
"Leave her alone!" Gwen shouted back with her arms restrained behind her back as well.
"You want some to!" He shouted as he stood up and glared at her.
"You don't scare me asshole!" She glared back. "I've seen rats scarier then you."
"You bitch." He growled back as he started to make for the door.
"Enough!" They heard the boss say as he walked over to them. "I can't think with all this racket!"
"Good." Gwen said under her breath. "Just how long are you going to keep us?"
"Long enough to get what we want." A slick voice said as a familiar figure in all black walked out from behind the wall.
Instantly Gwen fell silent as her heart started to pound in her chest. Shit! It can't be....no. It can't be him!
"Hello again Gwen." He said in a low seductive tone. "It's been to long."
Gwen narrowed her eyes at him as she felt her hatred start to build for the man who lied to her and was responsible for sending her to the hospital the last time she saw him. "Not long enough it you ask me."
"Now is that anyway to talk to the only person who tried to help you out last time?"
"You didn't help me." She growled back.
You fucking lied to me!" She shouted back.
"You poor misguided girl." He replied in his gravely tone. "You must have some memory loss after you hit your head."
"Which you caused!" She shouted again.
"Because you failed!" He bombed back. "You were suppose to knock her out completely."
"I did as you asked, you stupid fuck!" She shouted as Trish finally stopped coughing. "How was I suppose to know that you stupid cloth wouldn't have enough shit on it?"
"You have such a dirty mouth for a spoiled rich kid." He replied as he walked up the bars and started to rub his groan. "Perhaps I should have you clean it on my cock."
"Try it, and I'll bit your tiny dick off!" She growled back.
"Then perhaps I should use your friend instead." He said as he gave Trish a threatening glance. "I'm sure that she would be more than willing to cooperate if I let her go afterwards."
"What?" Trish asked as she gave him shocked look.
"What do you say?" He asked as he slowly unzipped his zipper. "One blow job and I'll let you go."
"Don't do it Trish." Gwen pleaded with her. "He's lying to you. He'll only hurt you."
"Now who are you going to listen to?" He said in a sinister tone. "The bitch that got you caught up in this mess? Or the guy who's going to get you out of it?"
"Don't do it Trish. Please!" Gwen pleaded as she watch Trish looking back and forth between the two of them.
"But..." Trish said nervously as she tried to wrap her head around it all.
"Don't do it Trish!"
"Come on Trish, it's only one blow job. You must have done this a thousand times."
"He's only going to hurt you."
"Come on. Just once is all I'm asking for. Then I'll let you go."
"Trish, Please!"
Trish kept glancing back and forth between the two of them as they kept going. But she couldn't think as they just bombarded her. She wasn't sure what to do. On one hand she could stay with Gwen. But if all it took was one blowjob, then she could get out and tell everyone where they were keeping them.
"Come on sweetheart. I won't hurt you. I swear." He said as he started to rub himself.
"Don't believe him Trish." Gwen said as she started to move towards her. "He'll go back on his word once he has what he wants."
"But Gwen....what if he does let me go?"
"Yeah Gwen?" He said as he gave her a crocked grin. "What if I do?"
"I fell for your bullshit once." She spit back. "I'm not about to let you do the same to her!"
"Well, I'm afraid that you don't have much of a choice in the matter now." He said to her as he zipped up his fly and turned to the guard. "Open it up. I want to have a little chat with her friend in private."
"No, NO!" Gwen started to shout as she tried to get in front of Trish. "Stay away from her!"
"You heard the boss." The guard said as he grabbed Gwen's hair and threw her off to the side. "He wants some privacy with your friend."
Gwen screamed as she was flung across the cell and up against the cement wall. Her head slammed up against the wall. She could see stars and feel something warm dropped down the back of her neck. And all she could do was watch them grab Trish and drag her out of the cell, kicking and screaming as her vision went to black.
**********Author Note**********
Long time no read, I know. But I had to take care of a few personal issues that had taken over my life there for a while. And despite what I tried, I couldn't concentrate on any of my stories. But now that that has all been taken care of, I can finally refocus on my stories and on all of you.
Which of course I had to start off with a cliff hanger. 😉 With a twist of course that I don't think that any of you were expecting. But then again, I like to keep you on your toes and make you expect the unexpected. 😊 To me that's what makes a story good.
And not to worry, I have a plan for how this will go that will make sense. But you will have to see how. But until then.....
Thanks for reading. :)
