YOU couldn't help the huge smile that was covering your face as you watched everyone turn and stare at Ignis' car as he drove through campus.  Each person seemed to be blown away as he slowly headed to the usual parking lot by the Student Services building.  And for once, you were pleased to see their stares and stunned looks as his car seemed to purr as it glided over the smooth cobblestone street.  Then as he turned into the parking lot you couldn't help but to smile even bigger as you watched Jason stand up from leaning on his gorgeous black sports car with red trim.  

Jason gave the two of you his dazzling smile as Ignis pulled his car into a parking spot right beside Jason's car.  Then as Ignis turned off his car, Jason opened up Ignis' door, while Brady opened up yours.

"Well look who it is."  Jason said as Ignis took off his seatbelt before he climbed out of the car.  "I was beginning to think that I would never see you again.  How have you been?"

"Busy."  Ignis said as he shook Jason's outstretched hand.  "But good."

Jason then pulled Ignis in for a hug as he kept a hold of his hand.  Then they both patted the other on the back with their free hand.  Then they released each other as you and Brady reached them.  Then Brady and Ignis did the same greeting before they all started talking to each other.

All you could do was simply watch and smile as the three of them talked.  You knew that they had all known each other for a while.  Otherwise you wouldn't have been hanging out with Jason and Brady to begin with.  But it was still strange to see them all talking.  

It was like two different worlds collided together at that moment.  But not in a bad way.  In fact, it was a bit refreshing to see that.  And you even relaxed as you simply watched them chatting.  That was until you picked up on part of their conversation. 

"Since you've been gone, I finally figured out why you fought so hard to beat my challenge."  Jason said with a slight smirk to Ignis.

Beat his challenge?  Does he mean....?  You thought as you stared at Ignis.

"That should have been obvious to figure out."  Ignis said to Jason before he looked right at you.  "Especially since some things are worth fighting for."

You couldn't help heat rising in your cheeks as you give him a shy grin since they had been talking about the diving challenge that Jason and Brady had mentioned before.  And based on Ignis response, he had gone up against Jason and had won.  Which in itself both fascinated and flattered you.  Especially since you still hadn't seen Jason or Brady dive, since every time they were in practice, you had been in class or at the library studying.  

But even though you knew Ignis' skills on the diving board.  You had a feeling that you missed one hell of a diving competition.  And quite possible the best one for the school in a long time.

"Well I certainly can't argue with you about that."  Jason said as he gave Ignis a kind smile before looking at you with a smirk. 

You rolled your eyes as you dropped your gaze.  

Oh boy.  You thought as you tried to hide the heat that was rising in your cheeks.  

"Can we go now?  I need to head to class.  And it's getting late."  You said as a means of changing the subject.

"After you."  Jason said with a smile as he turned and gestured towards the interior part of the campus.  "I'm sure that Ignis remembers the way."  

"Certainly."  Ignis replied as he straightened out his glasses with his middle finger before he reached out his hand to you.  "Ready?"

"For you? All...."  You started to replied with a smile, before you were interrupted as Ignis' phone started going off.

Ignis' face expression dropped as he pulled out his phone and looked at the screen.  You started to wonder who would be calling him this early.   But when you saw his face get strained, you instantly knew who was on the other side.  And it made your heart drop as he turned away from  your and walked a short distance away as he answered his phone.

"Yes sir?"  You heard him ask as he stopped a few steps away from you.  "Yes.... we just got here......No.  I'm haven't gotten on yet."

You watched him tense up for a moment before he tried to argue back.  "But I have .......Sir, it'll only be ....."

But then you saw him drop his head as he slightly closed his eyes before speaking in a lower tone.  "No, sir ........ I understand, sir ........ Yes sir, I'll head there now."

Well, they did say that they were going to need his help today.  You thought as you dropped your head.  I really shouldn't be surprised.  And it is for both his uncle and for Ms. Julius.

"I'm sorry, love."  You heard Ignis say as he walked back over to you and grabbed your hand.  "But it looks like they need me to stop by the bakery this morning for the final arrangements for the wedding cake."

Of course they do.  You thought to yourself as you felt your heart start to crack.

"But I shall be here when your done."  He continued as he lifted your chin up.

"Okay."  You said as you put on the best smile you could.  "I'll just see you after class.  Then maybe we can hang out for a bit."

"Oh....wait."  You said in a low tone as you dropped your gaze.  "I have to work tonight.  Not that I know how I'm going to get there now."

"Not to worry."  Ignis said as he tilted your gaze up to him again before releasing your chin.  "I'll be here to get you to and from work.  And besides, you are staying with me tonight."

Your were speechless as your heart leaped as he gave you a quick peck on the cheek.

"I'll see you this afternoon."  Ignis said as he walked back over to his car and grabbed the door handle.

"Okay."  You replied with a half smile as he slid into the driver's seat.  "Love you."

"Love you too."  Ignis smiled back before he closed his door.

You then took a step back as he started the car up again.  The roar of the engine caught the attention of a several students as they walked by.  You watched them turn and stared at his car  as they slowly walked past the parking lot.  Their curious gazes made your heart drop as he backed up.

Then after a quick nod, he pulled away.  And all you could do was watch as you felt your heart crack from him leaving you behind.  And sure you knew that Korn and Mary would probably call him.  You had hoped that they would at least give you a few hours with him before pulling him away.

"Come on."  You heard Jason quietly say from behind you.  "Let's get to class.  We'll see him when we're done."

"Yeah.  Okay."  You quietly replied as you watched Ignis' car move out of sight before you slowly turned towards class.

Your heart was starting to race again as you walked back into the parking lot after your last class.   Because you saw Ignis leaning up against his car as he talked on the phone.  He looked distracted by the conversation. But other than that, he looked exactly like he used to. Cool, calm and collected.

"Ahh. There's our man." Jason said with a chipper voice as he walked up to Ignis.  "I see that your still as punctual as always."

Punctual? You thought as you gave Jason a quick glance.

"Perhaps most of the time would be a better description." Ignis said as he looked at you with a hint of regret.

You looked at Ignis and saw his expression. Which immediately made you crumble. His deep green eyes searched yours as if pleading for forgiveness. The smile that crept across your face as you walked up to him, told him that you weren't upset with him anymore about him being late before.  Which made him relax as he grabbed your hand and brought it up to his lips and gave it a kiss.

"Are you ready to go?"  He asked in a low tone that sent a thrill through your whole body.

"With you? Always." You said back as you tried to calm down the electrified jolt that you felt running through you.

"We'll catch up tomorrow man."  Jason said as he started to steer everyone else towards the food court.

"Of course." Ignis replied without taking his eyes off of you.  "How was class?"

"Oh you know.  Same as high school." You replied with a smile.  "Only the teachers are older and not as friendly."

Ignis lightly laughed as he slightly tightened up his grip on your hand.  "Well, professors aside.  Did you have a good morning?"

"I did." You beamed back as you slightly squeezed his hand in return. "And you?"

"The time with you was priceless."  He said in a deep tone as searched your face. 

"But after that..."  He said as he turned back to the car and opened up the door for you.  "Well, let's just say that I'll be doing some make up work later tonight." 

"You didn't make it to class?  But won't that put you behind?"  You asked as you watched him.

"Not as much as you might think." He replied as he looked back at you and gave you gentle smile.  "I can easily catch up while you're at work."

"Okay."  You replied with a smile.  "But can we stop by the hospital before you drop me off?  I want to check on my family."

"Of course." Ignis replied before he gave you one more kiss on your hand.  "I had a feeling that you would want to see them.  So I took the liberty of bringing you your work clothes.  I figured that you could change at work after we eat lunch with your dad and step mom."

You couldn't help the smile on your face. That's the Ignis I remember. "Thank you."

"Anytime, love." He said in a low, deep tone as he leaned in and gave you a quick kiss.

Then with a huge smile, you both climbed into the car and headed to the hospital. You weren't sure what thrilled you more. Seeing your new baby brother again. Or having Ignis with you. Perhaps both, since you felt truly happy for the first time in a long time.

At the hospital, the curtains were drawn and the room was lite up by a single light that gave it a comforting feel.   There was still enough light in the room for you to see that Tracy was fast asleep in the bed.  And as you glanced around the room, you saw your dad slowing shifting his weight from one leg to the other as he held your brother in his arms.  You couldn't help the smile as you heard him singing the same soothing lullaby that he use to sing to you.  

The sight of him reminder you of all the late nights when you were little.  Your dad would always be there to give you a protective hug that would ward off the last reminders of the nightmare.  And between both of your parents, they would sing you that comforting song so that you could fall back to sleep.

You paused as you watched him softly singing to Nathaniel.  It made your heart swell to hear him singing that song again.  And after a few moments you couldn't help but to join in as you walked over to him.  Your dad looked up at you for a moment before he smiled back at you before he continuing signing with you.

Ignis quietly stood there watching you and your dad as you both sang softly.  He had never heard the song before.  But the moment remind him of the songs that his mother would sing to him when he was little.  He could almost see her now as he watched the two of you singing to the tiny bundle in your dad's arms.  

And he couldn't help but to think of how this was truly a new beginning for your whole family.  A new mom.  A new brother.  And a whole lot of new adjustments for all of you.

He quietly watched the two of you softly signing with smiles on your faces, he couldn't help but to smile himself.  And as he listened to the two of you, he quickly caught the rhythm.  And on the next stanza, he joined in and slowly made his way over to the two of you.  Then his heart skipped a beat when you beamed brightly at him as the three of you sang in perfect harmony with each other.

Then all of you watched as your brother slowly drifted into a deep sleep.  And once he was asleep, your dad slowly laid him back down in his little bassinet.  You smiled at your dad as you watched him.  Then you beamed as he gently tucked in Nathaniel before turning back to you.

Your dad then gestured to the door as a means of telling the two of you to head out so that Tracy and Nathaniel could sleep.  You simply turned and followed Ignis out the door, as your dad grabbed his jacket on the way out.  Then after closing the door, he put on his jacket and sighed.  And that was when you saw the dark lines starting under his eyes as he straightened up his coat and stood up tall again.

"Thank you for that."  Your dad said as he gave you a gentle smile.  "That little guy has been quite restless I'm afraid.  He kept us up most of the night."

"Is he okay?"  You nervously asked.

"He's fine."  Your dad said with a sigh.  "He was just very hungry.  And Tracy is struggling with getting him to latch on and eat."

"Is it that hard to get a baby to drink from a bottle?"  You asked out of curiosity.

"It can be trying sometimes.  But in this case, Tracy wanted to try and breastfeed him."  He replied with a slight smile.  "They say that it's a lot healthier for newborn babies then formula.  But it does tend to be a bit difficult for a new mother to learn I'm afraid.  But don't worry.  Tracy's a smart woman.  And she's starting to get the hand of it."

"Oh.  That makes sense.  I guess."  You said as you dropped your head.  I wonder if my mom had any issues?

"And you know what kiddo.  I watched your mom go through the same thing with you and your brother."  You heard your dad quietly say as if he could read your thoughts.

You slowly looked up in wonder.  "Really?"

"Really."  He smiled back before he started to stretch.  "But enough of that.  Who's ready for lunch?  I'm starving."

"That sounds like a splendid idea."  Ignis said before he turned to you.  "Don't you agree?"

"Yeah."  You half smiled back as you could picture your mom smiling at you.

After an enjoyable lunch and light conversation with your dad, Ignis dropped you off at work.  He told you on way over, that he had to take care of something, and that he wouldn't be able to walk you inside.  But he did promise that he would stop in when he came back to pick you up once you were done.  Which was good enough for you since you knew that he had some school work to get done.  So you thanked him with a quick kiss before you got out of the car and headed for the café.

But as you walked towards the café, you could swear that you felt Loqi's eyes staring at the two of you through the store window as if he was boring holes into Ignis.  But you pushed it out of your mind as you walked in and headed for the back.  And instead or being annoyed, you gave Loqi a slight smile as you walked past him while he gave you a hard stare after taking a customer's order.  His whole statue though, told you that he was not happy about something.  Which meant that he was going to make sure that you knew all about it.

But you didn't give him the chance after you hit the floor and started taking customers' orders as the dinner rush kicked in.  And all of the hard stares and cold shoulders that Loqi gave you all night, didn't seem to bother you as much as usual.  In fact, you soon forgot that he was even watching, as you flew from table to table with each order.  Or at least you did until the night was finally at an end as you cleaned off your last table and took the dirty dishes to the dish room.

When you arrived, Loqi had just finished up his dishes and was drying his hands on a clean dry towel.  He watched you walk over with a huge stack of dishes and set them on the counter.  His face turned hard as he tossed the towel on the counter.

"If you think that I'm washing those, after just cleaning up the whole damn dish room, you are sorely mistaken."  He said firmly as he crossed his arms over his chest.

"I appreciate the offer."  You smirked back as a way of joking with him.  "But I don't want them to take all night.  I would like to leave sometime tonight."

"Then you better get started." Loqi said in a harsh tone before he started to walk away from you.  "You don't want to keep your rich boyfriend waiting."

But as he walked past you, he slammed his shoulder into yours. Which caused you to slightly stumble backwards. The action caught you off guard as you watched him walk away. He had never been physically aggressive towards you before.  And it honestly made you worried.

Is he jealous?  You thought as you followed him with your eyes as he headed to the back where the mops and buckets were waiting.  

You then turned back around and tried to calm back down your rattled nerves. His reaction was not at all what you were expecting.  Especially since he had helped you out the night before.  Which made you wonder if something else had happened after you had left him standing there on the curb. 

The thought made you even more worried.  Especially since he had never been that aggressive towards you before. Sure the two of you had given each other the cold shoulder before. But that was usually due to the tables.  He had never hit you before.  In fact he usually didn't even touch you.

You dropped your head as you started to wash the last few dishes. I hope he isn't going to be like this the whole time Ignis is home. That would make things totally difficult not only here, but at school as well.

"(Y/n)!"  You heard Brian shout from his office. "My office! Now!"

"Shit.  Now what?" You said under your breath as you quickly turned everything off and started to dry your hands on a clean towel.

Please tell me he's not pissed at me as well. You thought as you tossed the towel on the counter and quickly headed to the office.

You walked into Brian's office and saw him sitting in front of his computer with a frown on his face. Immediately you became nervous as you tried to figure out if you had screwed up something.

"Would you mind telling me what this is all about?" Brian asked as he pointed to his computer screen.

You slowly looked at his monitor. But the image on the screen wasn't anything bad. In fact it was a picture of your dad and Tracy with baby Nathaniel.  Apparently they were using Share Time to announce Nathaniel's arrival. Which made sense, since Share Time was the most popular social media website for all of Insomnia.

You couldn't help but to smile since there were several pictures. And one showed you holding Nathaniel. He looked like he was a toy doll in your arms since he was so small.  Which made you smile even bigger.

"So?" Brian pressed again. "When were you going to tell me that she had the baby?"

"Well considering that she just had it last night.  And it got super busy right as I got here tonight."  You said with a smile before you looked at him. "I would say that now would be about right."

Brian couldn't help the smile that came across his face as he stood up and pulled you in his arms.  "Oh thank the gods for little miracles.  That is wonderful news.  And I couldn't be happier for all of you."

You couldn't help but to slightly laugh at him as he spun you around before he started dancing with you and humming a chipper song that you didn't recognize at first.  But you soon found yourself humming along as the two of you danced around his office. You were both so into the moment, that you didn't notice that Loqi had stopped right outside of the room and was just staring at you.  That was until he coughed to clear his throat, which made both of you turn and look at him.

"Ahh Loqi.  Come join in my boy."  Brian said as he beamed at him as he stood there.  "We must celebrate.  There is a new life in this world."

"That's okay."  Loqi said as he held out one hand as a means of saying no.  "I don't.."

But before Loqi could finish his protest, Brian grabbed his wrist and yanked him into the room, as he practically threw the two of you together.  Both of you were stunned for a moment as Loqi stumbled right into you so that you were flush against his chest.  His touch took your breath away as you had both of your hands on his chest out of reflex to protect yourself.  But his breath seemed to leave him as well, as his hands landed behind you on the desk as he braced himself from pushing both of you back onto the desk.

You felt your fingers start to tingle as they felt his chest rising and falling with each breath.  Then you caught the scent of his spicy cologne and was immediately brought back to your dreams again.  

Hold on.  Had it been him?!  You thought as you started to recall that hot and heated night.

"This calls for a drink." Brian said as he walked out of the room, leaving the two of you as you were.

Neither of you spoke for a moment. You weren't sure whether to push back or not as you looked at him. Because he seemed to be not only stunned. But also torn as his eyes drifted down to your lips.

You could practically feel the yearning from him as you felt his heart pounding in his chest. Or was that yours? You weren't sure anymore. All you knew was that it all seemed way to familiar to you. It was as if you had already done this with him before. But how? 

Is he feeling this too?  You thought as you could feel the air shift in the room.

Then there seemed to be heat coming off of him as he shifted his feet so that now even his groan was up against you.  Immediately your heart started racing as you searched his eyes as you felt his full hard length pressed up against your pelvis. Which did answer part of your question as his eyes turned pitch black.  Then you felt his loose hand on your chin as he raised your lips up towards his.

"Careful. We wouldn't want you to be caught cheating on your boyfriend.  Now would we?"  Loqi said in a deep voice as he lowered his head down so that his lips were hovering over yours.  "Or is this what you really want?"

You gasped as you looked at him. But before you could say anything, Brian walked in with a bottle of sparkling grape juice and three glasses. Apparently Brian was oblivious to what was going on, since he didn't say or do anything. Except break the two of you up as he walked right in between you as he walked over to his desk and placed the glasses down.  Then he proceeded to open the grape juice.

"I would have pulled out the wine." Brian said as he unscrewed the top with a smile. "But I don't dare get caught serving a minor."

You gave Brian a gentle smile as you moved your hair behind your ear as you leaned against his desk for support.  But you noticed that Loqi never took his eyes off of you. Not even when Brian handed him a glass half filled with grape juice. Which made you look away nervously after you took your glass from Brian.

"I propose a toast." Brian said with a huge smile as he lifted up his glass as he faced both of you.  "To new beginnings and new life."

You smiled as you lifted up your glass along with Loqi.  Whose eyes were glued to yours the whole time.  Which made you nervously bit your lip you as you tried to look away from him.  But no matter what you did, you couldn't seem to shake off the heat that he was giving you with his eyes.

"May your new family live a long and happy life."  Brian said as he beamed at you.

"Thank you."  You beamed back at him.  "And yours as well."

"To a new life."  Brian said as he lifted his glass higher.

"A new life."  You and Loqi both said as you did the same.

Then all of you took a drink.  But right as you did, that was when you heard a faint rap on the front door.  You quickly put your glass down and poked your head out of the office door.  And there standing at the door as he glanced through the glass, was Ignis. A huge grin quickly covered your face as you headed for the door.  

"Who is it?"  Brian said as he poked his head out the door and followed you to the door with his eyes.

Then he smiled as he watched you open up the door for Ignis  "Ahh.  Never mind."

Loqi on the other hand was far from pleased to see Ignis walking beside you as the two of you headed back towards the kitchen.  I can't wait to see that smile erased from your fucking face.  For you won't be smiling after we take everything from you.  Just like you did from us.

After the two of you entered the kitchen, Ignis and Brian talked while you finished up the dishes.  Then shortly after that, everyone was walking out of the café for the night.  Ignis was telling Brian all about the hair raising details of the car ride to the hospital when your dad was racing to get to Tracy.  You were paying attention for the most part.

That was until you heard Loqi start up his bike and loudly reeve it a few times as he looked at you.  But you couldn't see his face to see what he was thinking.  Because he had his black shield down so that you only saw his black helmet as he stood on one foot and reeved his bike with one hand.  Ignis led you over to the car as he kept a constant eye on Loqi as the two of you walked away from him.

Then right as Ignis reached for the door handle, Loqi released his handbrake, and was quickly flying off the sidewalk and down the street. You watched him fly out of sight as he whipped around the corner.   Then just like that, he was gone.  The only thing left from him, was the distant sound of his bike's engine, as it shattered the calm night with it thunderous roar. 

But you tried to quickly put him out of your mind, as you climbed into Ignis' car.  Loqi was the last thing you wanted to think about as you headed to the condo.  And when Ignis reached over and grabbed your hand, everything else disappeared from your thoughts.  Because after that, everything outside of the car didn't matter anymore.

Once you were back at Ignis' place, the two of you found yourselves sitting at the dining room table doing your homework for the night.  Mary had prepared dinner and a snack for the two of you so that you could eat as you worked.  Which was sweet.  But after she did, she kept constantly checking on the two of you.  Which was starting to really wear on you by time you finished up.

"Are you sure that you don't want another drink?"  She asked for what seemed like the tenth time that night.

"No.  We're fine."  Ignis replied in a calm tone.  "But thank you again for asking."

You didn't look at her as you started to put your books back into your bag.  You were afraid that she might see the irritated look on your face as you tried to clean up for the night.  Which was the last thing that you wanted.  Especially after the great meal that she had cooked that night. 

Let alone you didn't want to stress her out more. Not with the wedding right around the corner.  You had heard that she was stressed.  But her restlessness from the night before had shown you first hand just how stressed out she really was.

"I'm just making sure that you are okay.  Did you want to take a glass of water up to your room for the night?"  She persisted as you put the last of your books in your bag.  "I would hate for you to have to come back down again later."

If I didn't know better, I would say that she's trying to keep us separated.  You thought as you pulled the strap for your bag over your shoulder and walked away so that you could put your bag by the front door. She does seem to want to get in the way of us ever being alone while we're here.

"I appreciate the thought.  But I'll be okay."  You heard Ignis say before you turned and headed down the stairs to the entryway. 

All you could do was slightly shake your head as you tied to brush off her overbearingness.  You knew that she was trying to be nice.  But her overactivity was really starting to become irritating.  And after you sat your bag down you could see that Ignis agree.

For Ignis looked stressed himself as he entered the entryway.  But the moment that he saw you, he seemed to be thinking something completely different.  And then as if in some weird dream, he seemed to warp across the floor, straight over to you and pull you into his arms.  Which made you slightly jump from the sudden motion.

But the minute that his hands touched you, his lips were on yours.  You both deeply exhaled the moment that his lips touched yours.  He then pulled you hard against him as he slipped his tongue between your lips and began to passionately kiss you.  You reached your arms up and around his neck as you pulled him closer as you eagerly met his passion.

"Hmmm."  Ignis deeply hummed against you as he deepened his kisses.

Your whole body seemed to purr as he passionately and hungrily kissed you.  Then you felt his shoulder drop as he dropped his bag on the floor.  Then he reached around and grabbed your ass. Next thing you knew, he had pulled you up off the ground and had moved you against the wall.  

You gasped as he firmly pressed the full length of himself against you as he hungrily kissed down to your neck.  His lips seemed to send waves of heat through you with each kiss, as he hardening member pressed hard against your pearl.  Your eyes rolled back as you felt yourself heating up with each kiss and slight roll of his hips as he moved against you.  

Dear six I've missed his touch. You thought as you melted against him.

"I want you."  He said in a deep voice in between kisses as he made his way to the back of your neck.  "And I will have you again."

First off, thank you very much for being very patent with me for the long wait time for this one. I had to take a break from everything and everyone for a short stent. But I think that everything will be okay now. (I hope anyway.)

Second, I hated to leave you in suspense like that. But the chapter was already over my usual 5,000 words.  (And Yes, ever chapter is about that  long in case you were wondering. 😉). And this was a good spot to pause. At least for what I'm planning anyway.

So be sure to keep an eye out for the next chapter as things start to pick up for the wedding.  But will all the commotion start to put too much of a stain on your relationships?  We shall so find out.
