You slowly opened your eyes as you felt someone slightly shift under you. But you didn't jump as they gently pulled you closer to them again as they settled back down. That was when you looked up and saw Ignis silently sleeping. You smiled at him as his mouth was slightly open and his hair slightly covered his eyes.

You reached up and gently ran your fingers across his forehead as you moved his hair off of his face. He slightly jumped before he opened up his eyes and closed his mouth as he looked down at you. Then he narrowed his eyes as he gave you a gentle smile. You gave him a bigger smile as he reached down and moved your hair behind your ear.

"Morning love." He said as he gave you a gentle smile.

"Morning." You smiled back.

"Did you sleep well?" He quietly asked as he studied your face.

"With you? Of course." You smiled back. "How could I not, with my strong boyfriend protecting me."

"Hmmm." Ignis hummed at you as he narrowed his eyes more as he smiled at you.

You smiled back, then you moved up and gave him a slow gentle kiss. He returned with the same as he kissed you back with another gentle kiss. You then placed your hand on his cheek as you kissed him again with a little more force as you could feel your body starting to wake up to him. He deeply exhaled as he returned with the same as he felt his body start to respond to you.

You slightly pulled back enough to smirk at him as you pushed yourself up so that you were hovering over him. He gave you heated look as he could see the top of your breasts as they hung right in front of his face. He reached up and placed his hand on your cheek as you moved closer to him. You could practically feel the heat pouring off of him as you leaned down to kiss him.

"Can that wait until after today's races?" You heard Gladio ask. "We really don't need either of you worn out before then."

You both turned your heads to look at Gladio. He had his arm over his eyes again as he laid on his back. You couldn't tell if he was upset about what you were trying to do. Or if he was a bit jealous since Monica wasn't there to do the same.

"Perhaps when we're done, we could come back here and relax for a bit." Ignis said as he moved his fingers down to your chin as he turned you back to face him.

You smiled back at him. "I would like that a lot."

"Its a date then." He returned with a smile as he slide his hand behind your head and pulled you down for a kiss.

You eagerly leaned down and enjoyed a slow passionate kiss. Then he slide his hand down your to your back as he slipped his tongue past your eager lips. Then he pulled you close to him as he rolled over onto you so that you were now the one on your back and he was the one hovering over you. You wrapped your arm around his neck as you let yourself fall under his spell as he slowly tasted you with each kiss before he slowly pulled away.

You grinned back up at him as he slightly pulled away. He grinned back at you with his narrow heated eyes. His look told you everything that you needed to know about what to expect later on. He then gave you a slow kiss on your forehead as he ran his fingers gently over your cheek.

You closed your eyes for a moment before he pulled back again. You couldn't help but to gently smiled back at him as he looked at you. His smile was the best thing that you had ever seen first thing in the morning. And with his grin back, he seemed to agree as you grinned at him.

"Shall I escort you to your room so that you can get your things?" He asked you before he leaned back in and gave you a gentle nudge on your cheek.

"That would be very thoughtful of you." You replied as you could feel yourself starting to heat up as he leaned down further and gave the nap of your neck a quick gentle kiss. "But perhaps after our races would be best. This way we can take our time and make sure that we don't miss anything."

"I'm very much looking forward to it then." He said as you felt his hand tighten up on you as he gave you a very heated breathe on your neck before giving you a hungrier kiss on your neck.

"So am I." You said as you gave him a gentle kiss on the cheek.

"But for now, I should head back to my room so that I can get changed." You said before you gave him a heated kiss on the nap of his neck.

You could practically feel him tremble under your lips on the underline promise that you just made to each other. And that promise would be a very heated one based on both of your reactions to the others touch. Which would have to wait for a bit though. Because right now, you both had some races to win. And this was an unsaid deal as he released you so that you could get out of bed and headed to your room so that you could get ready.

But everything seemed to change once you got down to the main floor of the hotel. Because the moment that all of you got downstairs, all you heard was people talking about several different swimmers for each of the teams being attacked during the night. You quietly listened so that you could make sure you were hearing things right. That was how you heard several people talking about this as you went over to the buffet line to grab some food for breakfast.

"Can you believe it? Someone actually got into his room last night and tried to drug him." One girl said.

"I heard someone from another team had the same thing happen. But it was a girl. And she is one of their fastest swimmers." Her team mate said.

"What about that one swimmer from East high school? I heard that they had to be taken to the hospital." You heard one of two guys say as they walked past you to grab a drink.

"He wasn't the only one. Several swimmers had to be taken. A couple looked like they were having seizures. It was scary to see them like that." The other guy replied.

"I heard it was from a possible drug overdose. But I know Eric from my team would never touch the stuff. So how did it end up in his room?" You heard a third group say as they waited for their waffles to cook.

"I don't know. But the thought scares me to death." You heard one of them reply

"I'm just glad that there was a doctor on hand who was able to treat most of them." Another replied.

By time you sat down with your food, your head was spinning with what you had just heard. And as you looked around at everyone else as they joined you. They all seemed to have the same expression. You dropped your head a bit more as you quietly started to eat.

You were torn between your emotions as you couldn't decided if you were relieved or scared that you weren't the only one who was attacked this time. It had been intense enough when Angie, Becky, and Chrissy kept asking you a million questions that morning as you were getting dressed before leaving the room to head down for breakfast. You had tried to answer most of their questions. But there were quite a few that you couldn't since you simply had no idea what had really happened.

Because a big part of the incident was confusing for you since you weren't really sure what part had been your dream and what part had been real. Everything had seemed to blend together now as you thought about it. You still tried to answer them though as you and Angie changed in Becky and Chrissy's room as everyone got ready to head for the swim meet. Which you were grateful that they had agreed to let you do.

And it was because you couldn't stay in your room anymore since it had been marked off as a crime scene due to the incident and the drugs that had been stashed in your pillow. This of course made you a bit concerned. Since where were you suppose to relax and leave your things now? Sure you could leave your bags in Chrissy and Becky's room for now. But what about that night?

The beds simply weren't big enough for two people to sleep in. And there wasn't enough room for a second roll-away bed. And you had a feeling that the hotel was booked solid considering how many people were attending the swim meet.

But as you quietly ate, you tried to put that out of your head. You would have to worry about that later. Right now you needed to focus on your races. Everything else was going to have to wait.

"There's our star athletes." You heard your dad say as he walked over to the table with Korn and King Regis.

You saw Nyx and Pelna standing within ear shot of everyone. You could tell that they were on guard as they kept glancing around the room. They looked some what relaxed as they stood there in t-shirts, open button up shirts and jeans. But you could tell that they weren't really relaxed just from they muscles tensing up every time there was a loud noise.

"Morning your majesty." You piped up. "Will you be joining us for breakfast?"

"Regrettably no." He answered as he looked at everyone as he put his hand on Noctis' shoulder.

"But you need to eat." You said with a concerned look as you glanced at all of them.

"But don't worry." Korn chinned in and explained. "We ordered room service this morning since we have to go over to the pool early."

"Are you leaving now?" You asked as you looked at your dad.

"Yes we are." Your dad replied. "We need to go handle a few things this morning."

"Oh." You replied as you felt your heart fall.

"Don't worry though kiddo. We're not about to miss any of your heats." He said in a chipper tone as he rubbed your back. "But we do have to meet up with the officials regarding the incidents that happened here last night."

"So its true what their saying." Prompto asked in a hushed tone. "There were other swimmers attacked last night as well. I mean besides (y/n) of course."

All three of them looked down for a moment as if they were afraid to say anything. Everyone at the table froze and looked at them as they could see the answer in the nervous adults in front of them. So what you had heard had been true. But why would anyone attack high school students like that?

"We'll discuss that with everyone later on tonight." Korn said as he looked back up and gave Ignis a firm look. "But for now, keep your head on a swivel."

"Yes sir." Ignis said in a firm tone.

"And with that. We'll see you kids in a bit." Your dad chimed in as he turned Korn towards the door as he gave everyone a huge smile. "Good luck with your heats everyone. And we'll be rooting for you from the stands."

"Thanks." Everyone replied as you watched group move away from your table and head out the door.

"I don't like the sound of all this." Ignis said as he looked back at his plate.

"What do you mean?" Prompto asked as he gave Ignis a curious look as he continued to eat.

"It's nothing." He said as he went back to eating. "I'm just thinking out loud is all."

But you could tell that it was more than that. And as you glanced at Gladio and Noctis, you could tell that they thought the same thing. Because they had the same unconvinced look as you, as they watched him carefully for a moment before they turned their attention back to their food. You slightly frowned before turning back to your breakfast.

"Whoa.......this......this is incredible." You said as you stood on the pool deck and looked down the lane. "I didn't think that the pool would look this amazing this early."

"Ha. You act like we haven't been in it the last two days." Gladio said with a smile.

"I know we have." You said as you gave him a stern look before you looked back at the pool. "But still. Doesn't it seem like there is a bit of magic today? I mean, it's like the very sky is ready to see us shine today."

"Huh. You know what." Gladio said as he looked from you to the pool. "I think your right."

"I couldn't agree more." Ignis said as he tightened up his grip on your hand. "It does have a certain air of achievement today doesn't it?"

"Today we'll take the competition by storm." Noctis said as he interlaced his fingers with yours before he raised up your hand to his lips and gave it a gentle kiss. "And with you by our side this time, I know that we'll all win."

You tilted your head and smiled at him. "Yeah. We can't lose as long as we support each other."

"Then what are we waiting for?" Prompto asked as he threw his arms over your and Noctis' shoulders. "Let's get in and get warmed up. I can't wait to race."

"Get off!" Noctis grumbled as he struggled off Prompto's arm as he released you. "Your going to cause a scene."

"Settle down you two." Ignis said as pulled you closer to him. "You don't want to slip on the deck."

You started laughing at them as they started arguing back and forth. You never tired of watching them picking on each other the way that they did. It had calmed down a lot over the years. But as you stood there watching them, you knew that they really didn't want to fight each other. It was more like a siblings fight more than anything now.

"Aren't you guys suppose to be serious about swimming?" You heard Chrissy say as she walked up with Becky and Angie.

"How can they not when they have our (y/n) motivating them?" Becky said with a smile.

"You do have a point there." Chrissy continued.

"You two should hear yourselves." Angie said with a slight smile. "You know as much as I do that you both love swimming as much as they do."

"We never said that we didn't?" Chrissy said with a grin. "You need to learn to lighten up Angie."

"What..? Angie started to argue back until she heard you laughing.

Everyone just stopped and looked at you as you started loudly laughing. "This is why I love all of you so much."

"Huh? What do you mean?" Gladio asked as everyone gave you a confused look.

"Well your all so passionate about the same sport that I love as well." You said as you beamed back at them. "So how about we agree to push ourselves to our limits and give it our all while we're here."

"Yeah." Everyone agreed as they smiled back at you.

"Swimmers To the blocks."

Ignis stepped onto the block and took his track start. Then he made one last adjustment to his goggles as he focused only on the block as he tried to clear his head. Then once he ready, he leaned over and waited for the announcer.

"Good luck Ignis!" Gladio shouted.

"You got this Iggy." Noctis shouted.

"Show them how it's done Iggy!" You shouted.

"Swimmers take your mark." You heard the announcer say.

All the swimmers reached down and grabbed the edge of the block and pulled themselves closer to the starter block. The whole room seemed to hold their breath for that brief moment. You were sitting by everyone else as you nervously watched him.

HOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNKK!

All the swimmers flew off the blocks in near perfect prone dives before they reentered the water to start the butterfly part of the men's 200-yard IM. The whole arena erupted with cheers as the crowd cheered on their favorite swimmers. Your whole team was on their feet cheering for him as he raced down the lane at a steady pace. And turn after turn you watched with pride how he stayed just ahead of the pack as he kept up his steady pace as he smoothly transitioned from one stroke to the next.

Even down to the last stroke he kept the same lead. No one else in the water was able to gain on him once. And after he touched the wall and quickly turned around and looked at his time you could see his relief. Then he looked up at you and beamed.

You beamed back and nodded. He returned the nod. Then he moved to the side of the starter block and climbed out of the water. You proudly watched him walk away as he was congratulated by everyone as they patted him on the back as he left the deck to head to the locker room.

"That's one." You heard Coach Dunlap saw before she turned and looked at you. "Now's it your turn to head down and get ready. There aren't any others until after your race. So good luck."

"Thanks coach." You said with a smile before to looked back at everyone else. "Here I go."

"Good luck." Prompto said.

"We're cheering for you." Noctis said as Gladio nodded with a smile.

"Thanks guys." You returned with a smile as you got up and headed to the locker rooms.

"Are we ready for this?" You heard a familiar voice say from the lane beside yours.

You glanced over and smiled as you saw Nicole give you a smile back. "For this? Always."

"What you should be asking is who will walk away with first place this time." You heard Gwen say from your other side.

You and Nicole both glanced at her and smiled as she adjusted her goggles. Gwen then glanced back at the two of you and beamed. You both beamed back at her and nodded.

"We shall see." You said with a smile.

"Yes we will." Nicole added.

"Swimmers to the blocks." The announcer said.

The three of you stepped up onto the blocks and got into your track starts. You could feel the electricity of excitement start to run through you. This was the race that you had been the most excited for. For this was a race of a lifetime for you.

Because for you, this was more then just a swim race between teams. This race was against two of your closest friends and toughest competitors. You knew that each of you would push the other to their limits to go for the gold. And there was no room for errors in this race. For one slight slip up and the whole race would be lost.

And as you leaned over as you got ready to grabbed the front of the starter block, you couldn't help but to flash back to that first meet when you and Nicole had raced against Gwen when you swam for the rec center. You had had no idea who it was in the lane on your opposite side from Nicole. All you knew was that they were fast as the three of you had plowed through the water as you each strived to best the other. Who had had no idea it was Gwen until after the race.

Swimmers take you mark." The announcer said.

But this time as you grabbed the block and pulled yourself closer to the block, you couldn't help the smile. Because you knew who you were up against this time. And even if this was the last time that it would ever be an official race. You were going to give it your all so that you could help to push them as much as they had pushed you.

HOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNKK!

And from the moment the horn sounded, your heart seemed to race faster then you could swim as the three of you were neck to neck to neck. No one else in the pool could keep up the pace that the three of you had set from the very beginning and were able to keep until the last lap. Because that was when you slowly started to pull away from them both as you pushed yourself even harder. But right as you started to pull away, you felt your heart rate start to increase much faster then it should.

You closed your eyes as you kept swimming. You couldn't figure out why your stomach was starting to hurt. And as you slammed into the wall a second after Nicole did, you seemed to freeze as your whole stomach started to painfully tighten up. You clung to the edge of the pool for a moment as you tried to fight off the pain.

"Hey, (y/n)? Are you okay?" You heard Nicole ask.

"Yeah come on (y/n). We have to get out." You heard Gwen say from the deck. "Their trying to get ready for the next heat."

"I'm....I'm sorry." You said as slowly opened up your eyes as you felt the pain start to subside.

Then you started to climb out. But as you did, your stomach started to hurt again. You groaned as you pushed yourself out of the pool before you fell back in. Then you crawled a couple feet forward as you clutched your stomach.

"(Y/n)?" You heard Nicole ask. "Are you okay? Here let me help you."

You felt Nicole grab you and help you stand back up. "There you go."

"Thank you." You said as you clutched your stomach for a moment as you looked at Nicole.

"Come on." You heard Gwen say as she walked up you and handed you your shammy. "Let's head to the locker room."

"Yeah." You quietly replied as you followed them to the locker room.

"You know, if you wanted me to win you could have just told me from the beginning." You heard Gwen say as the three of you rinsed off in the showers.

"That wasn't my intention you know." You said as you smiled at her as you let the warm water soothe your sore stomach.

"What happened then?" Nicole asked.

"Well....." You began as you started to tell both of them what had happened the night before.

"So you were one of the victim that we had been hearing about. I'm so sorry. That must have been very scary last night." Nicole said as the three of you pulled your warm-up suits back on.

"I honestly thought that people were just making that up." Gwen said as she watched you put on your jacket.

"I wish that was all it was." You replied as you dropped your gaze. "Fake rumors are much easier to deal with. But no. I'm afraid that in this case. The rumors are very much true."

"But you told us that your dad is here right?" Nicole asked as she put on her zipped up her jacket. "Can't he handle it?"

"And you said that Ignis' uncle is here too. And isn't he like the Intelligence department's director or something?" Gwen added. "Surly he can help out with this."

You smiled at both of them. "Yes, they are both here and have already started looking into each one. Prompto's dad has been helping out as well. He's the doctor that was going around treating everyone last night. To include me."

"Wow." Nicole said in a quieter tone. "It seems that your circle of friends has truly changed through the years."

You dropped your head as you stood up and grabbed your goggles, swim cap and body shammy. "Yeah. But it wasn't entirely by choice. You forget, I had no idea who Noctis was when we first met. But don't get me wrong. I'm glad I got to meet him and the others."

"It's just...." You started to say as you closed the locker door and stared at it for a moment. "Nevermind. We need to get back out to the pool. Noctis and Prompto should be coming up next."

"And don't forget Dustin." Nicole chimed in with an eager grin. "I can't wait to see that race."

"Then let's hurry." Gwen said with a huge grin.

"Right." You said.

Then you locked up your locker and the three of you headed back to the pool. When you got to the bleachers you stopped by the railing to watch while Nicole and Gwen headed to their seats. You knew your next race was shortly after theirs so you didn't want to get to your seat only to have to leave it again. And as you stood there, Ignis walked over to you.

"That was some race." You heard him say as he stopped right beside you.

You dropped your gaze as you felt his arm wrap around your waist. "Yeah it was. Not as impressive as yours though."

"Impressive or not, you seemed to have some trouble getting out though. Are you still feeling the affects from this morning?" He asked as he watched you.

"Its fine." You replied as you looked back up and saw Noctis and Prompto getting ready to head to the starter blocks. "It was only a little stomach pain. I'm fine now. It was probable just my nerves."

"Hmm." Ignis said as he gave you an unconvinced look before he looked back at the pool.

"Swimmers to the blocks for the first heat in the men's 50-yard Freestyle." The announcer said.

"Here we go." You said as you felt your breath get caught as you watched Noctis and Prompto climb onto the starter blocks.

"Let's go Noct!" You shouted.

"Show the speed Prompto!" You heard Gladio shout.

"Swimmers, take your marks." The announcer said, followed by all of the swimmers on the blocks bending over and grabbing the edge of the block.

HOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNKK went the horn and sent the swimmers flying.

Time almost seemed to stand still as watched them fly off the blocks. You felt your heart leap as you watched Noctis touch the water first with Prompto just a breath behind. That was when you noticed the guy who was right next to Noctis. You couldn't help but to wonder if that was Dustin as he almost matched Noctis perfectly as they entered the water at the exact same time.

But then in what seemed like a half a second, time sped back up as they came back up to the surface and started flying down the lane. The whole room seemed to explode as the swimmers flew through the water as they raced to the far side of the pool. You could barely hear anything as the crowd cheered for them as they all seemed to be on their feet. You loudly cheered as you watched Noctis, Prompto and who you could only assume was Dustin, racing neck to neck to neck.

You couldn't get over the noise volume and couldn't help but to wonder if this was what it sounded like during your race. The thought made you cheer even louder as they moved further away from you as they neared the fall wall. Then in a quick snap all three of them quickly flipped and started heading back. They quickly left the rest of the swimmers behind them as they pushed even faster as they each tried to gain on the other.

But as you watched, none of them seemed to be able to pull away from the others as they all seemed to be perfectly match in speed. You felt your heart racing as they thundered down the lane and into the wall. The whole crowd was now on their feet as they neared the wall. You held your breath as they reached the wall and in one heart stopping second, the race was done as the three all touched the wall.

They all got out of the pool and stood back up. Then they all slowly turned around and looked at the display board In shock as they tried to catch their breath. The whole room roared as they saw that Noctis had won by a tenth of a second. Dustin and Prompto had tied for second, which seemed to please both Prompto and Dustin as they looked like they were about to cry as they looked at it. Prompto then flew over To Noctis and wrapped his arms around Noctis' shoulder as they stared at the display board.

They both then seemed to smile and laugh as they cheered at the times. Then they both looked over at Dustin as he took off his swim cap and bowed to the two of them. Noctis then walked over to him and held out his hand. Dustin hesitated for a moment as he looked at Noctis' hand.

"Good race." Noctis said to Dustin as he held out his hand.

Dustin reached over nervously clasped Noctis' hand. "You too. Your highness."

Noctis smiled back at him as they shook hands. Then Prompto couldn't contain himself anymore and he threw his arms over both of their shoulders as he screamed out his excitement. Dustin and Noctis both gave him a smile. Then they joined in as well as they raised up one fist in the air. The whole room exploded with applause as the three of them raised up a fist before they finally turned and headed to the locker room.

"Now that was incredible." You said to Ignis with a huge smile.

"It truly was." Ignis beamed back. "But we're not done yet."

"Right." You beamed back. "Well, I better head back down. I need to get ready for my next race and I don't want to miss Gladio's."

"I shall see you when your done." Ignis said as he smiled at you. "Good luck love."

"You too." You said as you gave him a quick kiss before you turned around and headed back down to the locker room.

So I didn't want to get too deep into the race part, since I think everyone gets the idea by now. But at the same time, the thrill of a win is hard to pass up. After all, who doesn't like to see that every once in a while.

Meanwhile as the team keeps racing and trying to bring home the most wins for their school. The hotel is being thoroughly inspected by the local police department as your dad and Korn anxiously wait to hear the findings. But as they wait for the report comes in. Korn calls in some additional help for the security detail. And who he gets has one person feeling very much on edge. Because why on Earth was he on the area to begin with when only a few were told that the king would be there?
