Chapter 58 - Reunited
EVERYONE slowly looked out the windows of the elevator as the doors slowly slid open. But after not seeing anyone there, everyone debarked and headed for the door on the other side of the room. This led to another room that had looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. You ran up to the door and leaned up against it as you carefully listened for any noise.
You couldn't hear anything so you opened up the the door and saw that it led outside. You noticed that it was dark outside. You were very relieved since this was going to help with your escape. You looked at everyone and had them quickly exit the building and try to hide in the shadows. Then everyone slide along the walls as they stealthily made their way to the other side of the area. Once everyone was on the other side, you let out the breath that you didn't even realized that you were holding.
After everyone reached the other side, you put your ear to the door again to see if you could hear anything. But after a few minutes you knew that it was clear, since you heard nothing but silence. So you opened it up and had everyone enter. You were greeted this time with a partially lighted walkway that lead down several flights of stairs as it lead away from the main elevator.
Once you reached the end, you noticed that the door had been ripped off of the hinges and was laying up against the wall. This made you nervous since there was a light over top the doorway. Everyone would have to move fast so as not to attract attention. So one by one, each person quickly darted out from the hallway and quickly got back into the shadows along the wall. You were the last one to go but you quickly moved back up to the front.
Once you reached the end of the walkway you noticed that you were in another huge open area. You slowly looked around and saw that there was still no on around. The emptiness was a bit unnerving as you looked around. Where was everyone? Sure it was late, but what about the night guards? Then just as that thought left you, you saw someone walk out of a room on the other side of the path. Everyone quickly pinned themselves up against the wall as the soldier walked past as they headed the opposite direction.
Once they were past, you peered around the corner and watched them walk further down the pathway. You then glanced across the way and saw that they hadn't completely closed the door. You slightly smiled, for if there was one, there would be more. You had to take them out if you were to get out of there without detection.
"Stay here." You told the nervous adults. "I have to go secure a room. Don't move unless you have to hide. Understood?"
They were all looking at you nervously. You could tell that they were scared and unsure of everything at this point. But you had to secure that room, otherwise there could be serious trouble for the group.
"I can't let you do that while I just sit here," Gwen dad's started to say, "I'm going with you."
You gave him a curious look.
"Not to be rude, but you don't look like the fighting type." You said as you looked him over in his dirty suit and leather shoes.
"Your better off letting me handle this." You said as you pulled out the solo dagger. "I have been training for this since the beginning of school practically."
He looked taken back by your words, but didn't argue further. You glanced down the walkway one more time and saw the soldier enter a room a bit further down the walkway. You then saw a crate on the other side of the area, so you threw the dagger at it and within a breath you were pulled the dagger back out of the wood. Then you slowly opened up the door and slipped inside.
You carefully made your way through the hallway as you listened for any noise. Once you reached the end of the hallway you saw that you were in a big empty room. You carefully glanced around as saw that it appeared to be empty. So you quickly made your way over the other other side of the room and up the stairs. You were surprised to see that there was a instrument panel there.
You quickly looked at the board and the labels and realized that this room controlled all of the doors in the area. You grinned to yourself, then started locked down every single door except for the one that you needed to get out. So much for the control guy coming back. You thought as you smiled. Then you stepped a few feet back from the board and threw a ball of electricity at it. The whole panel started sparking. You grinned then quickly ran out of the room.
Once you reach the outside door, you silently slipped out and closed the door behind you. You heard a click as soon as the door closed, indicating that it was now locked like the others. You grinned with satisfaction to yourself, then slid over to the side of the building so that you could look down the walkway and see if there was anyone standing around. Much to your relief, the coast was clear.
You looked back over at the adults and nodded to them with a smile. Then you proceeded to use the same hands signals that your mom and dad had used, to direct them to the interior area at the end of the walkway. But right as you were about to enter yourself you heard a major crash coming from the main elevator. You quickly looked back and saw a robot come crashing out of the side of it.
Your heart felt like it was in your throat as you saw it starting to climb down the side of the tower. You then quickly turned around and started running for the door. The rest of the group saw this and quickly ran for the door themselves. You each ran for the door and threw it open and ran down the stairs that came down from the building. As you were running down the stairs, you noticed that the train sitting there looked like it was getting ready to go.
"Quick! Get on the train!" You shouted to the others.
The group didn't need anymore encouragement then that, as they raced for the train and quickly got into the last car. You quickly raced after them as you kept looking over your shoulder for the robot that had climbing down the tower. You were almost at the train when you heard a crushing sound as the robot landed on the very building that you were just in. You stumbled to the ground from the force.
You then quickly turned around and came face to face with the robot. Then you froze as the robot aimed it's guns right at you. Then you quickly shook your head and scrambled to your feet and started to sprint towards the train. But right as you were getting close, the train started to move.
"SHIT!" You shouted as you threw the dagger at the train.
But with a satisfying thunk and swoosh, you were standing on the back steps of the train. You stood there for a few minutes with your hand still on the hilt of the dagger as you chest heaved from your heavy breaths. Your whole body was shaking as you stood there and watched the robot make chase for the train. But you couldn't move anymore. Your legs felt like they were glued in place as you watched the robot racing after the train as it was picking up speed.
But the more you stood there, the further the robot fell back. Until the train disappeared into an underground tunnel. Your heart felt like it was going to explode as you stood there. That was when you finally realized that you had made it out, but at what cost? Your eyes started to fill up with tears again as felt your whole body start to slide down the wall. But then you jumped out of your skin as a hand touched your shoulder.
"Hey?" The male voice said. "Get in here. It's not safe out there."
You turned around and saw that it was the guy with the guns. You dropped your gaze for a moment. Then you reached up and removed the dagger from the back of the train and followed him inside. You looked around as the door close behind you. You saw that you were in the cargo car that is usually on the back of trains for oversize storage.
You then looked over at Gwen's parents and slightly grinned. They looked nothing like her. Her mom had a beautiful dark skin complexion where her dad looked to be as white as snow. But you figured his white was due to the recent events and was not his true color. You had a feeling that you yourself probable looked like that a couple times tonight, despite your true color.
"Let's go find a sleeper cabin to relax in for a spell." The guy with the guns said.
Everyone agreed and left the cargo car behind and found the sleeping car to be the next car up. There was an empty compartment about half way up in the car. So everyone entered that one and sat down so that they could relax. You sat closest to the door so that you could keep an eye on everything around you. Gwen's parent's sat on the other side and the guy with the guns sat down beside you.
"I have to ask this before we move another inch." Gwen's dad stated as he was finally starting to get his peachy complexion back. "Who are you two?"
"The name's David. David Hendrix." The guy with the guns said as he stood up proudly as he took both guns off of his back and set them up against the wall. "I'm one of the local hunter in Lucius."
"I'm (Y/n) (L/n)." You quietly said after David sat back down. "You just meet my parents Paul and Lynn." You sadly said as you looked out the door and towards the long window that ran the length the car. "We were all supposed to be on this train. But I guess that just wasn't in the astrals plans for us."
"Your dad could still make it." Gwen's mom said as she tried to encourage you.
You dropped your head down more and slightly nodded. He could, if he got out of there. But how was he going to catch up to the train? You weren't sure if that would be possible now. Did he even have any idea as to where the train was going? You know that you had no clue, and at this point you didn't really care. Just as long as the train got everyone out of the city.
You were finally starting to relax when the train started slowly down. You sat up very nervously as looked around. Why are we stopping? We're still within the city limits.
"Don't worry." David said as he watched everyone get nervous. "This is a regular stop for the train. It just has to pick up a few people and drop off others. We'll be moving again in a few minutes. You'll see."
You didn't care what he said, you weren't going to relax until you were outside the city and back with Ignis again. And at this point you didn't care in which order that came. You would prefer to have Ignis first, of course. But you wouldn't be upset if he was waiting outside the city for you. You didn't want him to be in any danger.
Your whole body seemed to be on edge as the train came to a stop. You kept nervously looking out the windows as you kept expecting something to happen at any moment. But then after hearing a few clicks and a few jerks, the train started moving again without incident. You started to relax again as the train started to gain speed again.
But then as you sat back to relax, you heard a peculiar sound coming from the outside. You quickly left the room and stood in front of the big window as you looked out in shook. For charging at the train was the same robot that had chased the train before. You heart started to race as you watched it gaining speed on the train.
Then just before it got to the train, you heard the same sound again. But this one stopped as the train car slightly lurched as the robot landed on the train. You fell on your butt as the car rocked from the motion. After it settled again, you looked up and saw the feet of the second robot curl around and lock itself in place on top of the train.
You felt the color drain from your face as you realized that this one was actually on the train. But then the robot turned its guns and started firing at the other robot. You sat there in shock as the second robot tore up the other with it's bullets and artillery. Then once the other robot was turned into a ball of flames and exploded, the second robot ceased all weapons. Shortly after that, the robot unlocked itself and slowly started moved towards the back of the train and to the empty flat car that had been attached at the last station.
You followed the robot back to the flat car. You had to see who was piloting that machine. You just had to know, was he a friend or a foe. You waited just inside the door of the last car and watched as the robot settled down on the flat car as it dropped down low and locked itself to the car so that the machine wouldn't get knocked off of the train. Then the hatch opened up on the robot. You held your breath as you saw a person climb out of the cab and drop down onto the flat car. Then they turned around and spotted you looking at them through the window. You then saw him give you a huge fatherly grin.
You quickly fumbled with the door handle as you hurried to get outside. Once you had it open you ran to the pilot. You raced over and leaped up as you wrapped your arms around your dad's neck. He grabbed you around your waist and hugged you just as hard as you hugged him. You couldn't talk as the tears poured down your face and your whole body shook. You had thought that you would never see him again. When you had left that room, you had thought that that was it. Yet here you were hugging him in the flesh and he was still very much alive.
"I'm sorry I'm a bit late kiddo." He said softly in your ear. "But I had to get your mom out of there. I wasn't about to leave without her. I don't want them to ever touch her again."
The tears poured even harder down your cheeks at your dad's words.
"I'm glad you got her." You said through a hoarse voice as your throat threatened to close up completely from the raw emotions. "I didn't want to leave either of you behind."
Your dad dropped his head so that it was right by your cheek.
"I know. But we didn't have a choice at the time." He quietly said as squeezed you back. "Now come on. Let's get you back inside."
"What about mom?" You asked as you looked at the robot.
Your dad released you and dropped his head as tears started to roll from his eyes again. Then he looked straight up as he took a deep breath before he looked back at you.
"She's fine. She's all settled and waiting for the coroner." He said with a rough voice. "She will have a proper burial to honor her."
"Right." You said through blurry vision as you hugged your dad one more time before the two of you slowly walked inside the train.
The group jumped when the door flew open as you and your dad both walked in. You didn't see the shocked expressions of the other adults as you took a seat by your dad by the door. For all you cared about right now was that he was with you again. After he sat down, he put his arm around you. You snuggled up against him and wrapped your arms around him as if afraid that he might disappear again.
You only half listened as the adults talked. You were still too numb to really hear or care about anything anymore. All you knew was that your dad's touch was the only thing keeping you grounded for the moment. For if it wasn't for that, you felt that you might lose it completely.
"Is everyone alright?" Your dad asked after he settled in the seat with his arm around you.
"Yes." Gwen's dad said as he looked at him. "But how did you get here?"
"Let's just say that the Nif provided me with my own personal transportation." Paul said with a slight roll of the eyes. "So your Gwen's parents?"
"Yes. I'm Gregory Yeagre and this is my wife Sania Yeagre." Gregory said as he introduced them to the group. "We own the....."He tried to continue.
"You own Yeagre Industries. The largest research company in all of Lucis." Your dad interrupted as he nodded his head. "I'm quite familiar with your company and your products."
Gregory slight paused then with a proud grin he slowly sat up straight and tried to brush off some of the dirt that had gotten on his suit. "Well, I'm glad that...."
"I'm also aware that you have been having financial issues due to several failed projects and are on the break of losing everything." Your dad said with a flat tone as he stared at the man across the way. "Is that one of the reasons that you ended up there? You were so desperate to make money that you actually turned to the empire?"
Gregory sat there with his jaw wide open at Paul's harsh words. "Well you see...."
"Look. I don't care to hear any excuses." He said in a stern voice. "My family just risked their lives to save your asses. And it cost my wife hers. No amount of money in the world is going to bring her back. So keep your stupid excuses. I don't want to hear them."
Gregory sat there with his mouth wide open as he took in what your dad told him. "I didn't ...."
"Don't!" Paul shouted. "The only thing that you should be thinking about right now is your own daughter, who has been going through hell because of your greed."
Gregory went to say something, but instead he dropped his head as if he knew that he had been defeated. Paul then pulled you in closer and gently kissed you on the head as he tried to get himself back under control. He wasn't meaning to lash out at the others, but right now his heart was in shreds and he had no other way of controlling it at the moment. He was thrilled to have you back, but the loss of his soulmate was eating him up inside.
He had long hoped that they would both grow old together and die at a much older age after seeing and playing with their grandbabies someday. Not to be taken out by the people that had already taken so many of their friends and their own son. He closed his eyes as he squeezed you tight, while a single tear ran down his cheek. He then silently vowed that he wasn't going to ever let you out of his sight again.
"If I may," David shying said to break the tension in the room. "I, for one, will always be in your debt for you saving me." David said as he looked at your dad. "If you need anything, just tell me. I may not be super strong like you, but I know my way around weapons."
Your dad slowly looked at David and gave him a slight smile. "Thank you....?" You dad said as he gave a questioning look.
"David." David said as he smiled and held his hand out to Paul. "David Auburnbrie."
"David Auburnbrie you said?" Your dad asked as he slowly shook David's hand as he gave him a curious look.
"Yeah." David said as his smile fell.
Shit! Does he have something on me as well? What the hell could I have possible done to get his attention? David thought. And just who the hell is this guy anyway?
"Do you have a son by the name of Chad per chance?" Your dad asked as he watched his reaction carefully.
The color seemed to drain from David tanned face to match his shoulder length bleached-blond hair. "Yeah. But how.....?" He asked as his heart started racing.
"Your kid and mine are on the same swim team." Paul said with a slight smile.
David's mouth fell open at the news. He had never thought that a simple common topic would link them together. His heart almost stopped in relief at the simple common ground that they both shared.
"Of course during tryouts, your son tried to drown my daughter." Paul said in a stern voice.
David's heart immediately stopped again and instantly he went white in the face again.
My son tried to kill this guy's daughter? What the hell? Does he have a death wish or something? David thought in horror as he stared at Paul. I'm so dead.
"Your son is just lucky that my daughter has a bigger heart than me." Your dad said as he rubbed your back as he glanced back down at you.
"She felt bad for him after his mom told us that you were dead." He continued as he looked back at David and watched his reaction.
David dropped his head. "So that's the story she's going with now?' He quietly said as you could hear the hurt in his voice.
"I must say that you look good for someone who's supposedly six feet under." Your dad tried to joke as he watched the man slightly crumble under his gaze.
"Yeah. You could say that." David quietly said in a hurt tone.
"It must have been easier for Sarah to say that to him." David said as he leaned forward on his knees.
"Chad's mom and I got divorce a while back." David said without looking up. "She hated the idea that I was a hunter. She wanted me to get a 'real job', and stop leaving all the time to kill some 'innocent creatures', as she called them. I had tried to find a normal job within the city. But I wasn't any good at any of them. I grew up in the streets and fighting is what I do best. That was how we met in fact. I had saved her from a gang fight. My gang was going up against another and she was caught up in the crossfire. She just happen to be getting gas at the local gas station when the fight broke out.
"They had started firing their guns and they were about to hit her or her car. So I ran over and grabbed her and pulled her to safety. They had grazed me with a bullet, but she was safe at least. She had been so grateful, that she had patched me up that night." David said as he got a slight smile on his face.
"After that we kept running into each other at odd times. So after a while we started dating, then eventually we got married. After awhile I tried to turn my life around by trying to live a normal life. But when that didn't work I started drinking a lot. I'm not very proud of how I treated her during that time." David said as he dropped his head.
"That was when we got divorced. But we didn't have the heart to tell Chad the truth. So we just lived in the same house for a bit as roommates more or less. But then I heard about the hunters. And after a very heated conversation, we decided that it would be best if I left. But ever since then, the only contact we have is the money that I send her to help take care of Chad."
"Sounds like you and your son need to have a long talk." Paul said as he looked at David with sympathy.
"You could both use it by the way it sounds. Just don't expect it to be a pleasant talk the whole time." Your dad looked down at you and rubbed your back again.
"There will be plenty of heated words. But don't let them get the best of you. They are our children after all. And we should take care of them first and foremost." Paul said as you slowly looked up at him upon hearing his words. "For you never know when they could be taken from you."
You gave him a slight smile as you could feel your lips trembling as you tried not to cry again. Your dad leaned in a gently kissed you on the head again as he squeezed you tight. You sat there for a few minutes before he dropped his head by yours again as he held you tight. Then he took a deep raspy breath before he stared out the door and watched the scenery fly by as the train flew down the tracks.
"So then what about you?" David asked after a few minutes. "We've told you all about us. It's only fair that you tell us about you."
"Correction. I already knew a lot about you. You just happen to fill in a few gaps for me." Paul said as he looked at David with a straight look.
"I can't reveal to much. But I can say that Lynn and I both work for the Intelligence Department for the Citadel. Lynn is, or was, part of the research division. While I work for the Investigation division." He said as he slight glanced down as he paused for a moment.
"Anything else beyond that, I'm afraid that I can't disclose." Paul said as he looked back up.
"Unless it's to my daughter." He said as he looked down at you.
You gave him a slight smile as he squeezed you tight.
"But that is a discussion that will have to take place once we are alone." Your dad said more to you then to David. "For there is alot I need to tell you. I just wish that we both would have been here to tell you. Your mother was always better with explaining things."
"I'll just be glad to know the truth." You said through tears as you looked at your dad's eyes, as they were full of pain as he looked at you.
"How did I end up with such a special daughter?" He asked as he pushed your hair behind you ear.
"Special people always deserve special children." You said with tears in your eyes.
You watched as tears welled up in his eyes. Then he pulled you in tight as tears fell from his eyes as he held you close. You both held each other as you shared in the comforting of each other as your hearts were both braking. For you both knew that life was once again going to change for both of you. But this time there would be one less crucial person to hold you both together.

After traveling through the frozen tundra and past the beautiful frozen body of the glacian goddess, you felt the train starting to slow down again. This was thankfully accompanied by warmer temperatures again. You could hear the engine start to ease up and the brakes starting to be applied on the train. You opened your eyes and saw the first signs of light starting, just before the train started to go through a dark tunnel. Then you dropped your eyes a bit as you still held your dad. You hadn't realized that you had fallen asleep until then.
Next stop Tenebrae. Home of the Nox Fleuret Royal family and the lovely future Oracle Lady Lunafreya.
You slowly released your dad during the announcement and turned your attention to the window outside. You couldn't really see anything outside except for a few lights on the train station. Suddenly your phone chimed. You quickly pulled it out and saw that it was a text from Ignis. You heart leaped at the words on the screen, as if they were a shining beacon in the dark.
"He's here?!" You gasped as you quickly looked out the window.
"Who's here?" You dad asked as he opened his eyes and gave you a stunned look.
"Ignis!" You said and quickly got up. "He's here dad. Let's go!" You said and dashed out of the room.
"Whoa! Wait a minute?" Your dad called after you as he fumbled to get up. He hadn't realized that he had fallen asleep like that.
"Shit." He said as he sat up and realized that you were gone.
"Let's go folks." He said as he stirred the rest of them. "This appears to be our stop."
Everyone slowly got up and started gathering their items and followed Paul out of the room. Once everyone was in the walkway, they followed the crowd out of the train and onto the platform.
You ran out onto the platform and quickly looked around. But you couldn't see Ignis due to the amount of people who were getting off of the train. You felt your heart racing as you frantically looked around for him. You then looked at your phone again and at the text message again.
Get off at Tenebrae. We'll be waiting on the platform for you.
You looked back up again as you hit the call button on your phone. Then you placed the phone to your ear as you looked desperately around for him
Please tell me that this isn't a trick. You frantically thought as the phone just rang. Until.....
"(Y/n)? Where are you?" You heard his sweet voice over the phone.
Your heart fluttered at his sweet accent.
"We are by the last sleeping car of the train." You said as finally, the rest of the group joined you on the platform.
"Stay there, I'm on my way." You heard him say before he hung up the phone. You then put your phone away as you continued to look around for him.
"This better not be some type of trick." Gregory said as he looked around at the people walking around.
Paul looked over and gave him a stern look as you kept looking around. "The only trick here is how long you will go without me hitting you."
Gregory gave Paul a stunned looked before he closed his mouth as he stood sheepishly by his wife. Paul then put his hand on your shoulder as he looked around as well, as he tried to spot anyone approaching them that he recognized. Then he smiled as he saw Korn approaching. Then he saw Ignis. As soon as Ignis saw you, he started running over. Your dad smiled and tap you on the shoulder and pointed him out to you.
Your heart immediately jumped and so did you when saw him. You ran from your dad as you raced over to meet Ignis. Tears were starting to stream from your eyes as you got closer to him. He smiled then slowed down to a stop as you ran up and leap up at him as you wrapped your arms around his neck. He wrapped his arms tightly around your waist as he braced himself from falling backwards from your momentum.
He held you tight for a few minutes as he felt his hands tingle from feeling you in his arms once again. He then lifted his mouth to meet yours and kissed you hard. You returned the same pressure as you ran your hands through his hair and over his neck. He slowly lowered you to your feet as he opened his mouth as he hungrily kissed you. You quickly returned his kiss with your tongue as you kissed him back.
The motion caught him off guard and made him lose his breath for a moment. Only for him to return with his tongue as he deepened the kiss. He relished in the taste of you as he squeezed you tightly in his arms. You welcomed the heat as you met his kiss eagerly. You both became lost in the moment as you melted into each other. Only for you to pull away after a few minutes as you were both out of breath.
"Okay you two." You heard your dad say as they walking up to you.
"You're going to make me blush." You heard him joke in a slightly serious tone.
You half laughed as you released his neck only to wrap your arms around his waist. Ignis half smiled as relief flowed through him as he pressed your head against his chest as his heart was beating a hundred miles an hour. He whole body was slightly shaking as he held you. He wasn't quite sure what to say or do but hold you as his fears of not seeing you slowly disappeared. As you stood there holding each other, the group finally came together.
"Good to see you again Paul." Korn said as he reached his hand out and grasped Paul's hand in a firm handshake before pulling him in for an embrace.
"It's good to be seen again." Paul said with a sigh as patted Korn on the back before releasing him.
"Welcome back." Korn said as he reached his hand out to Gregory and Sania as well.
"Thank you." They both quietly said as they slightly bowed to him after they shook his hand.
"And I'm sure I'll get to you soon enough." Korn said as he shook David's hand.
Who just simply nodded since he was to nervous to talk.
"So where's Lynn?" Korn asked as he looked among the group. "Is she still on the train?"
"She's in the robot on the flat car." Paul said as he dropped his head as he fought to maintain control.
"Well let's go get her." Korn said as he started to make his way towards the train.
"There's no rush." Paul said as tears started to welling up in his eyes.
"The coroner will see her soon enough." Paul finished as his throat swelled shut.
The whole group stopped in their tracks at his words. Korn then slowly turned to Paul and put his hand on his shoulder. Then he pulled Paul in for an full embrace. Both men silently held each other as stray tears rolled down Paul's cheeks.
"You did good to bring her home." You heard Korn quietly say to your dad. "She will have a hero's funeral."
"Thank you." Paul choked out.
"It's the least that we can do for her." Korn said as he released his grip on Paul. "Now come on inside the castle. We have much to discuss tonight over drinks. The train will stay here overnight so there's no worry of anyone taking off with Lynn. And not to worry, the empire won't be stopping by here tonight either. Not with our shield up." Korn said with a smile.
"Sounds good." Paul smiled back at Korn. "I know that I could go for a cold one right about now."
The group then slowly started making their way over to the pathway that would take them to the castle. Ignis slowly released you and grabbed you hand as the two of you started walking to the castle. His hand felt like magic in yours as you walked beside him again.
"I'm sorry that I missed your solo." You quietly said as you walked with your head down. "I'm sure that you performed brilliantly."
Ignis squeezed your hand and looked over at you. "I would have performed better if you had been there after I was finished. But in the same sense, I'm sorry that I didn't see what happened. If I had known....."
"Neither of us knew what she was going through, to make her do that." You quietly said then you looked back up at his worried eyes.
"But it doesn't matter anymore. I'm here now." You said as tears started to well up again.
You then stopped and slowly wrapped your arms around his neck again. Then you leaned in and passionately kissed him.
"I'm not going to say it again you two." You heard your dad say as he was walking just a short distance away.
You released him as you both slightly laughed.
"He just got back and already I'm in trouble." You joked as you looked at Ignis.
"Well let's not give him a reason to ground you shall we." Ignis said then he gave you a quick kiss on the cheek.
Then he releasing and grabbing your hand as he lead you to the castle for the night.
******Author Note******
Ok. Does that answer a few questions for you?
I do hope that you enjoyed this chapter as it starts to show the connections that I came up with for this story. (Complicated, I know. You should see my notes on this stuff. 😵)
Please be sure to keep an eye out for the next book. It might not come out quite as quick as the last one since it will set up for the next situation. But not to worry. I promise it will be worth it.
Thanks for reading. :)
