Chapter 56 - Unanswered Questions

THE next morning, Ignis was standing in the hallway of the hospital with his uncle as they waited to go into the room and talk to Gwen. The hospital staff had called Korn and said that she had woken up. So they had left the condo almost immediately and headed over to the hospital.

It had only taken Ignis a couple minutes to get ready, since he hadn't been able to sleep a wink since the concert. He just couldn't relax enough to fall asleep. The events kept constantly replaying in his head and the unanswered questions were constantly running through his mind.  This kept him solely focused on those events, which was prevented him from being able to relax enough to sleep.

Finally the door opened back up and the doctor walked out. "You can see her now." The doctor told them in a quiet voice. "Just try not to upset her too much.  She does have a concussion from her head banging against the wall that hard."

"We just need to ask her a few questions." Korn tried to reassure the doctor. "After that she can rest and recover. But we have to find out what happened. Someone else's life is in the balance as we speak. So every second counts right now."

The doctor nodded his head as he looked down. "I understand. I just hope that she remembers something useful for you."  The doctor returned before he looked back up.   "But just be aware that injuries like her's seem to take away some memories."

"Thank you doctor."  Korn said.  "But if she can provide any information at this point, we would be grateful."

"Please let me know if you need anything else."  The doctor said as he pushed his glasses back up on his face with his middle finger.

Ignis gave the doctor a curious look as he dropped his hand back down.  The motion was familiar to him, and not because he did the same thing.  But it was more in how he did it, that made him curious.  It was almost as if he was looking in a mirror as he watched the doctor.

Do I know him?  Ignis thought as he watched the doctor closely.

"I'll still be here for another hour or so, as I finish up my rounds."  He said as he started to walk away.  "Just have the nurses page me if you need me."

"Thank you."  Korn returned.

"Come on Ignis."  Korn said as he put his hand on the door handle.

"Let's see what Ms. Teagre can tell us."  Korn said then walked into the room.

Ignis watched the doctor walk away before he turned back to his uncle.  "Do we know him?"

"Well sure we do."  Korn answered as he continued walking.  "He's the only doctor who is allowed to deal with high profile patients here.  Because of the security and privacy factor of course."

"Of course..."  Ignis quietly said as he slowly followed his uncle.

Ignis then turned his attention back to the room as he walked in.  As he stepped into the room, his heart skipped as he recalled the last time he walked into a hospital room was when he had gone to see you.  He looked around the room and saw the two beds that were on opposite sides of the room.  The curtains were drawn completely on the bed to the left and only partially on the one on his right .

Ignis stopped in his tracks as he stared at the closed curtains around the bed on the left.  He recalled how in your room, you had been in the bed on the left and the one on the right had been empty.  The lighting that day had been much darker when he walked in.  And Noctis was already in the room as Ignis had followed Gladious in.

He had heard shouting from you at Noctis as your voice came drifting out of the room, just as they were about to walk in.  That was when he had decided that Gladio and himself would wait until it calmed down before walking in.  He knew that the two of you needed to have a private moment before they walked in.  So when the room went quiet, that was when they knocked.

He remembered how you were sitting up in bed staring in disbelief as the two of them walked in.  He had been pleased to see that you seemed to be in a descent mood when they walked in as well. You may have been stunned, but at least you weren't upset anymore. He continued to stare at the curtain as he could once again, see your face lite up as you looked at the flowers that he had gotten you.

"Ignis?" He heard his uncle call him.

He blinked his eyes as he snapped out of his daze. Then he slowly turned away from the bed and turning his attention back to the other bed. He saw Gwen sitting up in the bed with bandages on her head. For a split second he saw your face where hers was, as she sat there wearing the same gown that you had been wearing that day.  But it quickly disappeared as he blinked again.

He dropped his gaze for a moment. He felt like he was starting to crack. All he could see was you everywhere he looked.  And at the moment, he wasn't sure if it was due to pure exhaustion or worry at this point anymore.

"You alright?"  Korn asked Ignis as he watched his nephew with a concerned look.

"I'm fine." Ignis said as he walked over and joined his uncle. "But perhaps a nap later on might be in order though."

"Perhaps you should sit this out then."  Korn said as he watched his nephew as he seemed to be stumbling over himself.

"No."  Ignis said as he looked back at Korn with a stern look. "I want to hear what happened."

Korn slightly smiled at his nephew as he searched his determined face.  He could tell that Ignis was exhausted.  But he also knew that Ignis wouldn't be able to rest until there was some type of plan in place at least.  And that was one thing that they both agreed upon.

Of course, Korn hadn't seen his nephew this distressed since his dad died. Which told Korn that from this point on, he was going to have to keep an eye on him. He didn't want Ignis to go back down the same path of depression as before. For he wasn't sure if he would be able to pull him out this time if he did.

"Alright."  Korn said as stared at him. "But you getting some sleep as soon as we get back to the condo."

Ignis simply nodded back at Korn before looking back up at Gwen and seeing her scared look. He didn't smile back at her, but instead he gave her a straight face as he carefully watched her expressions. She wasn't her usual flirtatious self. In fact he noticed that she seemed to be almsot petrified. He narrowed his eyes at her, which caused her to drop her gaze and start to rub her hands together nervously.

"I take it you know why we're here?" Korn asked Gwen as he watched her reaction to Ignis.

"You want to know about (y/n)." She quietly stated.

"That would be one of the reasons yes." Korn returned as he watched her drop her head more.

"But I also wanted to ask you about your parents." Korn said as he carefully watched her reaction.

She seemed to quickly tense up as she froze in place as she caught her breath.

"I haven't seen them in a while. Are they okay?" Korn asked without taking his eyes off of her.

She slowly looked up at Korn with her jaw dropped. He could see that she was fighting with herself on whether she should tell him or not. Ignis watched her carefully as she nervously searched Korn's face as if she was trying to see if he was for real or not. Ignis had never seen her act like this before. But he could tell that whatever was bothering her, really had her scared if she was afraid to talk to them.

"Their just on a business trip." She quietly said as she went from looking at Korn to glancing at Ignis.

Ignis could tell that she was hiding something. But he couldn't tell what from her expression. She looked too scared to read correctly. He continued to watch her as he tried to read through her fear as he searched her face.

"That must be some business trip, if it took both of them going to handle it." Korn commented as he walked over and sat on the chair beside her.

"It is." She quietly said as she glanced down for a moment as she chose her words carefully.

"It's a really big company that's offering them a huge amount of money for them to help them in their research department. They were told that it was an offer that they wouldn't want to refuse." She said then dropped her head and wrapped her hand tightly around the watch on her wrist.

"So they didn't. They willing went so that they could start the project.  They are hoping that they will be able to protect other people by helping them out." She said right before Ignis saw her lip start to quiver.

Ignis watched her tightly clench her hands as she tried to maintain control over her emotions. Korn stood up and walked over and sat on the edge of her bed. She slowly looked up as tears started rolling down her cheeks as she looked at him. He carefully searched her face is if he was looking to see if she was truly sincere. She stared back at him as he carefully reached over and grabbed her hand and gave her a gentle squeeze. She slightly smiled before the tears intensified as she pleaded with him with her eyes.

"So the concert last night." Korn began as he glanced down and carefully looked at the watch that she was wearing.

"You performed very well. I was quite impressed." Korn was saying as he ran his thumb over the face of the watch as he inspected every angle and feature on it.

"Thank you." She quietly said as she watched his hand.

For he then slid one finger around the edge of the face as if he was inspecting it. Ignis watched his uncle carefully look at every aspect of the watch until he tried to ran his finger under it. But when he did Gwen jerked back in pain. Korn released the watch and gave her a concerned look. She gave him a pleading look back.

"What was you favorite part?" Korn asked as he looked her in the eyes.

"It would be Ignis' solo that he did." Gwen said as she looked over at Ignis with tears in her eyes. "I was watching backstage with (Y/n) when he started."

Ignis felt his heart jump at her words. When he had walked away from you, he didn't think that there was anyone else standing there. But then again, it was hard to tell if anyone was back there with them. She could have easily been behind any one of the other curtains and he wouldn't have known since he was too focused on his solo.

"Yeah." Korn continued as he watched both Ignis' reaction to Gwen and Gwen's to Ignis. "It must have been exciting for the two of you."

"It was. In fact (Y/n) was so excited that she passed out because she was having a hard time trying to catch her breath." Gwen said as she watched Ignis' eyes get big then narrowed at her as his temper started to rise.

Her face started to turn white as she watched him.

"Really?" Korn asked as he kept a watch on both of them, to make sure that they didn't act on what they were thinking. "Did you try to help her?"

"I did." Gwen said as she tried to break eye contact with Ignis' now dagger eyes.

"I helped her outside so that she could get some fresh air." She said as she looked down.

"That couldn't have been an easy task." Korn asked as he watched her.  "Did anyone help you with her?"

"I had one helper." She quietly said as she started rubbing her hands together.

"Well that was nice of them." Korn replied. "They must have been strong."

"Yeah he was strong. Well he's much bigger and older than me at least." She nervously returned.

"Did she sit against the wall like you did?" Korn asked as searched her face.

"No." She said as she shook her head. Then she looked Ignis back in the eyes. "He had her relax in the back of his van for a spell."

"What happened after that?" Korn asked as he looked at her.

"I don't really remember." She said as she searched the ground. "That must have been when I passed out as I laid up against the wall."

"I'm sorry that I couldn't be much help to you." Gwen said as she kept he head down.

"You did just fine." Korn said as he watched her before he looked back at Ignis.

Ignis turned and walked away as he fought to keep his temper under control. He knew what he had just heard from her, but it still didn't help him relax. But it did at least answer a few questions that they had. Now if only there was a way for him to track you down so that he could find you.

He walk over towards the door with his head down as he fought to stay calm and not go off on her. He knew that wouldn't help, and there seemed to be something that was preventing her from answering the questions straight forward. And it seemed to be involved with that watch that she was wearing. He had a hunch what it was, but he would verify with his uncle after they left.

But that would have to wait until they were back home.  The hospital seemed to be a bad place to talk, especially with someone in the other bed. Ignis thought as he looked over at the drawn curtain. As he looked at the curtain though, his mind took him back to the scene that had unfolded when he came back after picking up a few things for you. His jaw slightly opened as his heart started to race again as he remembered the hospital gown falling from you and landing softly on the floor as it revealed your soft smooth skin to him.

He was once more looking at your naked body as it seemed to glow in the light on the room. Then he was once more watching as you reached back and undid your bra. Then you leaned forward as you went to place it on the bed. Then you started to bend down so that you could grab your nightshirt. But right as you were reaching, the curtain suddenly opened up and an older gentleman came walking away from the bed. Ignis could see that there was an older woman in the bed.

Ignis turned his gaze away from the bed and back towards the door. He dropped his gaze as he tried to refocus. But nothing seemed to be working for him lately. Everywhere he looked, he saw you. And it was starting to drive him crazy. All he wanted was to have you back in his arms again. But he had no idea where you were even at.

"Thank you for your time Gwen. Let's head home Ignis." Ignis heard Korn say as he came walking up to him.

"I think some food and a brief nap is in order." Korn said as he placed his hand on Ignis shoulder.

Ignis simply nodded then followed his uncle out of the room.

~~~~~~~~~~0~~~~~~~~~~
You were sitting on the bed with your legs up against your chest as you rubbed your fingers on the double heart pendant that Ignis had giving you.  You had been trying to wrap your head around the plan that your dad had just told you about. In theory, that plan was flawless. But, if working with Korn has taught you anything, it was that if something can go wrong, it will. And with your dad's plan, there were way too many factors that needed to be perfectly timed. And a lot of those were totally out of anyone's control.
There was only one part of his plan that you liked though.  And that involved getting to the control room so that you could send out a signal to Ignis and Korn so that they could pinpoint your location. You had already looked at your phone and figured out that there was some type of jamming device blocking all communications.  You had realized this when you had tried to use your phone earlier to text Ignis and Korn shortly after you had woken up in the cell.
But of course, getting to the control room to deactivate the device was going to be just as difficult as getting out of there at all.  And would be just as dangerous. But it did have you thinking of how you could turn your phone into a homing signal so that Ignis and Korn could find your location.
You had started putting together a plan in your head when you heard the screeching of the metal doors. You looked up at the same time your parents did. Then your dad quickly got in front of the door and your mom got in front of you. You sat there with your hand out to the side to that you could summon your bow when the time was right. You didn't want to give away that you had that trick up your sleeve just yet though.
You heard several people walking into the cell area. Your heart started to race as you got into a crouching position. You then heard several people start to shout as it sounded like they were being shuffled around. You took out your phone and slide it inside the pillow,
"Mom?' You whispered. "I just put my phone in the pillow case. I want you to text Ignis and tell him where we are. He'll tell Korn."
"What are you talking about?" She whispered back. "Your not going anywhere."
"You think their here for anyone other than me?"  You said as you started to slide off of the bed. "They want you to talk right?"
"Well yeah, but..." Your mom started to say.
"How do you think that their going to get you to talk?" You said as even your nerves were starting to get to you. "But not to worry. I have a few new tricks up my sleeve. I'm going to try and get a message to Ignis as well by using their equipment. But just in case that doesn't work, that's where I'm hoping the text will go through if I can interrupt their jamming signal.  Hopefully I can do it long enough for it to go through at least ."
"No." She said as she gave you a stern look. "We won't let them touch you."
"Just stay still." Your dad chimed in. "No one is getting in this room."
Both of your parents stood at the ready to attack anyone or anything that tried to approach the cell. That was when you saw the one person who had the exact opposite effect on you when compared to Ignis. You felt your hands start to shake as you watched him walk up with several soldiers in tow. He looked at you and gave you a slick smile.
Caligo Ulldor
"Well if it isn't my favorite girl?" He said as he stopped in front of the cell.
You instantly glared daggers at him again.
Favorite my ass. You angrily thought.
"Awww, are you mad that you only got a kiss on the neck last time?" He asked as he seductively looked you up and down. "Not to worry. You'll get a lot more pleasure from my lips later on."
You narrowed your eyes at him as you clutched your hands into fists.
How about I give your lips the pleasure of being ripped off of your smug face? You thought as you felt your temper starting to course through your veins again.
He cocked his head to one side as he scanned your body with his eyes. You felt your skin crawl as you felt his gaze look you up and down. Your dad shifted and stood in front of you and your mom as he tried to protect you both. This didn't seem to affect him though. He simply looked at the soldiers beside him and smiled.
"Kindly remove her from her parents would you?" You heard him say as he kept his eyes on you. "Emperor Ledolas has requested an audience with her."
"Yes sir." The soldiers said then they started moving forward.
But as they tried to enter the room, your dad quickly blocked their approach by grabbing the gun of the first guy and punching him with a cross hook to teh side of his head.  The guy staggered for a moment as he grabbed his head. Then your dad twisted the gun out of his hand and slammed him in the chest with foot as he kicked him out of the cell and into the guy behind him.  Then your dad turned the gun on them and slowly started to move out of the cell as he aimed right at Caligo.
"It'll take more than that to get my family." Your dad said in a stern voice as he moved to where he was blocking them from you and your mom.
"Now if you don't mind. We will be heading out now." He said as he moved towards them as he kept the barrel trained on Caligo.
"Oh but I do mind." Caligo said as he motioned for more guards.
"You see, she can't leave until she has met the emperor."  Caligo was saying as several soldiers came running and started to surround your dad.
"And no one ignores an audience with the emperor." Caligo finished as the soldiers all came to a stop with their guns aimed at your dad.
"Dad!" You shouted as you started to make your way over to him.
"Stay back!" He shouted back at you. "Let me handle this."
"But.." You tried to argue back.
"It's okay." Your mom said to you over her shoulder. "I'll help him if he gets in trouble."
You stood there in shock for a moment as you watched them. You had forgotten that they were trained as well. But even as you looked at them, you were starting to doubt their skills. You just couldn't picture your parents fighting. But you would soon learn differently.
"Now how do you think that your going to protect your family?"  Caligo asked as two soldiers started making their way over to the cell door.
"You can't stop everyone."
"Really?" Paul answered as he looked around himself as he took a quick head count.  "You apparently don't know me very well."
"Hmmm." Caligo said back.
Then with a snap of his fingers, two soldiers charged at your dad while the two by the cell tried to make for the entrance of the cell.  Your dad shot the first two in the leg, dropping them instantly.  Then he turned and slammed the butt of the gun against the first guys head as he tried to enter the cell.  Then he spun around and kicked the same guy in the chest, causing him to fly into the guy behind him, throwing both of them back onto the floor.
Then he aimed back at Caligo again as he stood his ground again and redid his head count as he watched the first two cry out as they got drag back by a couple other soldiers.  He didn't want to hurt anyone.  But then again.  Weren't they planning on hurt him if need be?
"Clever."  Caligo said as he took one step back as more soldiers moved in to replace the injured ones.  "But not clever enough I'm afraid."
And with another snap, four soldier rushed him and two more headed for the cell.  Paul quickly dropped the gun and did one sweep of rapid fire as he once again aimed for their legs as he shot at the four soldiers that charged at him.  You watched as all four dropped to the floor from being hit.  Then you watched the two heading for the door quickly turn towards him as he was firing.  The first one went for the gun, while the other went for his neck.
Your dad quickly dropped to one leg and did a leg sweep and knocked both of them down with one swipe.  But right as he was getting back up to start gain, one soldier came up from behind and grabbed the gun on both ends.  The soldier pulled the gun hard against your dad's neck as he tried to choke him out.  Your dad instantly grabbed  the gun as he tried to pry the gun away from his neck.
"DAD!"  You shouted as you stared at him in shock.
Your mom then quickly moved forward as she went to help him out.  But before she got very far, two more soldiers came rushing into the cell.  Your dad fought to get away as they headed straight for your mom, only to be kicked hard in the stomach several times by another soldier.  Then they took out his legs and slammed him on the the ground.  Then three of them pinned him down by kneeling on him and pulling his arms around behind his back.  Then one of them pinned his head hard to the ground and them practically sat on him.
As the two rushed your mom, she kicked at the first one as she tried to push them back with her foot. But instead of him being hit, he grabbed her foot and twisted it in his hand which caused her to twist around with her back to him.  He then grabbed her neck and arms and held her fast.  She fought back as she tried to move her arms and legs as he restrained her.  But as she fought him, he just tightened up his grip on her which caused her to cry out in pain.
Hearing this, your dad started fighting furiously as he tried to get free.  Only for them to sit on him harder and pull his arms back further.  Which caused him to call out as he felt his arms being pulled back to the point of being dislocated. Caligo laughed at him as he walked past him as he heading towards the cell himself.
"STOP IT!"  You shouted at them. "Leave them alone."
Caligo smiled at you then simply nodded at two more soldiers. They came rushing in towards you. But as they approached you quickly started blocking their arms as they tried to grab you. You then dropped to one knee as they tried to grab your head. Then you did a leg sweep as you tried to take out the soldier in front of you. But in the process you forgot about the other soldier, who knocked you to the ground with one strong kick to your back.
Due to the force, you fell forward onto the ground and landed on your stomach. The pain from your torn muscles caused you to cry out as you tried to get back up. But before you got very far, they once again started tying up your arms behind your back and your ankles together. You tried to fight back, but every time you tried, sheer pain would shot through your body from where they had hurt you last time.
"You never learn do you?" Caligo said as he looked down at you.
"Perhaps I should teach you some better manners." He said as they picked you up off of the ground by grabbing you by your arms and lifting you up as they supported you on both sides as they kept you restrained.
"Let go of her!" Your dad growled at them as he struggled against the floor as he tried frantically to get lose.
"You are in no position to demand anything." Caligo said as he walked up to your mom as she was being restrained from behind.
"Of course your wife is in a good position for something else." He said as he ran his finger along your mom's face as she was forced to look at the ceiling.
Your dad started to lose it as he furiously tried to fight back. The three soldiers holding him though, held him fast against the floor as your dad furiously attempted to get loose. Caligo sneered at your dad then as he brought his hand further down and grabbed your mom's right breast. Your mom screamed and tried to move away from his hand. But the soldier holding her, tighten their grip on her arms and neck as they kept her from moving.
"GET your hands off my WIFE!" Your dad shouted as he started fighting back more as he reached his breaking point as he was watching his wife getting fondled right in front of him.
"Sir?" One of the soldiers said who was struggling to hold your dad down.
"Fine." Caligo said as he released your mom and took a step back.
"But perhaps I'll come back for an older model later." He said and walked back over to you.
The two soldiers holding you on either side stood fast as he came up to you. But you had other plans for him. As soon as he was close enough, you used the soldiers support, and pushed off from the ground with both feet and slammed Caligo right in the chest with your heels. The momentum wasn't enough to get free, but you were pleased to see Caligo get slammed into the metal bars of the cell.
The two soldiers hold you were stunned for only a second before one of them turned and kneed you hard in the stomach. The force was enough to cause to your throw up what little food you had left in your stomach.   Then all you could do was gasped as you slumped over as you felt yourself starting to black out again. You struggled to stay upright as you tried to get the sparks in your eyes to go away.
Caligo stood back up right and walked over to you.
"Ardyn was right to be impressed with your fighting spirit.  You've gotten a lot more daring since summer camp now haven't you." He said as he grabbed your hair and held your head back so that you had to look at him.
 "But I'm afraid that it won't be enough this time." He said then grabbed your neck and squeezed until you passed out.  Which, lucky for you, didn't take much after the last blow.
Ignis paused as he watched you slowly grab his phone off of the end table and place it on your naked chest.
".......It seems that someone forgot to account for the additional time that he gets to sleep in this morning.......So perhaps I should take control of your phone for now."  You had said with a devilish grin .
"....how do I go about getting my phone back then?......He asked as he watched your soft breasts slowly rise and fall as he felt the blood starting to rush to his member at the thought of kissing and suckling them again.
".....I can think of a few ways to get that."  You said with a seductive look.
Ignis felt his body immediately respond as he got hard as he thought about you touching him again.  He rolled over on his side and ran his hand on the sheets beside him.  He quickly opened his eyes and looked at the empty bed.  Then he closed his eyes as he tried to get his now racing heart back under control again as he realized that you weren't there.  He then harshly gripped the sheets as he tried to calm his body back down again as the pressure in his groin was quickly increasing.  Suddenly there was a knock on his door.
"Ignis, it's time to get up.  I have dinner waiting for us downstairs."  Korn called through the door.
"Alright."  Ignis groaned as he rolled over on his stomach and reached his arms up and grabbed his pillow.  "I'll be down in a minute."  He growled as he member started throbbing from the pressure.
"Well don't take too long."  Ignis heard his uncle say as he voice seemed to trail away from the door.  "I wouldn't want you to eat cold food."
Ignis laid there for a few minutes on his stomach with his arms hugging his pillow as he tried to get his erection to go down before it turned too painful for him.  But every time he tried to think of something else, the sound of your voice and the touch of your hand as you cried out, kept ringing in his ear and relighting that flame again.  Finally the pressure became to much and he knew that he was going to have to pleasure himself.  This was going to be the only thing to help him out before it became too painful to handle as he started to feel the onset of blue balls as he gently rubbed against the bed.
This was almost becoming a regular thing, ever since that night in your room.  He couldn't get over how one night of intimacy with you was enough to drive his hormones almost insane.  So, with heavy breaths and low groans, he started to stroke himself.  As he pleasured himself, he was once again reliving that night that he had shared with you, as you each had brought the other to pure ecstasy.
Korn looked up from his paperwork, at his nephew as he came down the stairs sometime after he had finished eating dinner.  It had taken Ignis longer than a minute to come back downstairs.  Korn watched him as he quietly walked through the living room as he made his way to the kitchen to get his dinner.  Korn turned and watched Ignis as he walked past him.
"I had to put everything away."  Korn called after ignis as he was about to reach the kitchen.
"You took to long and I didn't want to leave it sitting out."  Korn said in a stern voice.
"My apologizes for taking too long."  Ignis said after he stopped in his tracks upon hearing his uncle's tone.
"It's fine."  Korn said in a soft voice as he watched his nephew's demeanor slightly change to being defeated.
Truth be told, he actually wasn't upset with Ignis.  He was more concerned then upset with Ignis' recent behavior.  He hadn't seen him behave exactly like this before and it had him very concerned.  He showed signs of his usual frustration, but this time he was a lot more distracted than before.  Korn was starting to see that Ignis cared a lot more for you then what Korn had first thought.
Korn looked down as he realized that this could prove to be problematic if they couldn't get you out of there safely.  In fact it could prove to be a real challenge for Ignis if anything went wrong with getting you and your parents back.  For best case scenario, they came back and were able to go back to their old place like nothing happened. This would be the idea situation.  But in the off chance that this wasn't the case, the worse case scenario would be that they don't recover anyone alive.
Korn glanced towards the kitchen where he could see Ignis fixing his dinner for himself.  He silently prayed that that wouldn't be the case.  For if Ignis was this broken up and distracted with you being taken hostage.  If you didn't come back alive, there would be no telling what he might do.  Korn then looked back down at his paperwork as he vowed to ensure that they got at least you out of there at any cost.  For he didn't want anything to happen to either of you.  He knew that you both had been through enough in your young lives already.
They say that separation makes the heart grow fonder.  I tried it with a couple long distance relationships.  But that just didn't seem to work.  But in this case, it seems to fuel something much deeper.  :)  But will the fuel be enough to keep you both going?
Besure to continue into the next chapter and find out.
