"HELP me!" You heard off in the distance.

"Hold on! I'm on my way!" You shouted back as you raced towards the voice.

You tried to squeeze your hands together as you tried to get them to stop shaking. But they didn't seem to want to listen now. That was when you looked over towards the couch as you heard Ignis stir. You could just make out the outline of the couch as you sat there.

You looked down as you sat there trembling.

I can't let this get to me. I just got over this. I can't go backwards. Not now. You argued with yourself.

But nothing seemed to want to work. Then you remembered how Ignis had helped you out last time. Perhaps his touch could again help you break through this. You thought as you stood up on your shaking legs and started making your way over to the couch. When you got to the couch, you saw that he was wearing his undershirt as he was laying under the covers, on his left side, with his left hand under his pillow as he slept. His right hand was just lying on the bed in front of him.

There looked to be enough room for you to slip in front of him so that you could wrap yourself up in his arms. You knew that he would make you feel safe, and perhaps you would be able to fall asleep again if you laid right beside him. Of course there was only one way to find out. You thought to yourself as you lifted up his right hand and placed it on his hip. Then you lifted up the covers and slid under the soft sheets and onto the bed in front of him with your back to him. You laid like that so that you could see anyone approaching you as you slept.

Once you were in the bed and under the covers. You reached up and grabbed his hand and brought it down in front of you as you snuggled up with it. You felt Ignis shift behind you. You frozen for a minute as you tried to figure out what he reaction was going to be. For a brief moment you thought that perhaps you shouldn't have climbing into bed with him. You didn't want him to be upset if he didn't like to share his bed.

But then his hand wrapped around yours and he slightly pulled you into him as if he was a blanket himself. Then you felt a gentle kiss on your cheek as he snuggled up with you as he tightened his arm around you before laying his head back down and relaxing again. You exhaled as you closed your eyes, as you relaxed again. Then you curled up closer to him as you got comfortable. Then with a smile on your face, you fell back to sleep wrapped in his protective arms.

Ignis felt his heart stop as he heard the loud echo of a locker being slammed. He broke into a run in the direction of the sound. He had just lost sight of you when he heard the locker. Please six, let her be safe. He thought as he raced down the hallway.

Then he rounded the corner in time to see you being held by a someone as they restrained you with your bow while you were in the air as a girl came running at you from the front. He stopped dead in his tracks as he watched you bend your knees which caused the person holding you, to head butt the girl who was now staggering. Then you pushed up hard from the floor with your feet which caused both of them to lean back up. Then you slammed your feet against the girl which caused both of them to lose their footing from the motion as they both fell to the ground in a heap, taking you with them.

Ignis then quickly started racing towards you again. Only it seemed that he couldn't get closer to you as the hallway seemed to suddenly stretch away from him. The faster he tried to run, the slower he seemed to be. He reached out his arms as he tried to reach for you. Only for you to move further away from him and out of his sight.

"I'm sorry Ignis." Ignis heard a distance voice say. "But we just weren't fast enough. We tried, but we just weren't able to reach your dad in time."

Hearing that haunting statement again, he slowly came to a stop as his heart stopped. Hearing those words again, hit him just as hard as when he had first heard them. And they caused him to fell to his knees as tears threatened to stream from his eyes. He felt his heart crumble as all the pain came washing back over him like black tar. Then he was alone now in an old familiar black room as the darkness seemed to engulf him once more.

But then he felt his hand move up as if by itself. He paused then watched as his hand moved by itself as it reached in front of him. Then he watched as you seemed to now be in front of him. You were pulling his arm around you as you wrapped up in his embrace.

He could feel you warmth as he stirred. Then he could smell you as you snuggled up to him. He opened his eyes for a moment and was relieved to see you laying in front of him. He pulled you into his embrace and gently kissed you on the cheek as he relished in your touch. It had been a dream. And it was a dream that he wanted to forget completely. Ignis thought to himself as he relaxed back on the bed and fell back to sleep with you in his arms.

You slowly opened your eyes as the alarm went off by your head. Then you felt the bed shift beside you. You looked up and saw an arm reaching over you and hit the snooze on the alarm on the phone that was sitting on the end table by the couch. You smiled to yourself as you grabbed his hand and kissed it as you hugged his arm.

Once again you slowly opened your eyes as his alarm went off. But this time, you reached up and grabbed his phone before he could. You grabbed it just as he leaned over. Ignis gave you a curious look as he watched you.

"I can assure you that I have made the correct calculations for the time frame for this morning." He said as he placed his hand on yours, as you held his phone against your chest.

"Oh?" You asked as you cocked your eyebrow at him.

"Then perhaps I should remind you that it's saturday." You said as you gave him a slight smirk as you removed his hand from yours.

"Which means that we don't have to be anywhere today but swim practice at the rec center." "And for us, that doesn't start until later on today, since the coach cut the time in the water today."

You heard coming from your alarm that was on your night stand over by your bed. The temperature was suppose to be a bit chilly, so you decided to dress a bit warmer. He smiled back at you as he walked over with his clothes and shower items. "I'm sorry. I just wanted to put this in the hamper." You shyly said as you quickly side stepped over to the basket and tossed in the shirt.

"I'll stay out now." You said as you quickly side stepped back out of the bathroom and closed the door behind you.

You were so embarrassed after that, that you made yourself busy with cleaning up the room and straightening out your bed as a way of distracting yourself again. By time Ignis stepped back out of the bathroom, the room was clean again and you were sitting on the couch. You had the tv on as you were working on your written assignment to Korn. He smiled to himself as he walked over to you. He put his stuff back in his bag, then walked around the couch and sat down next to you as you continued to work on the assignments.

"Shall we check on Noctis?" Ignis said as he looked over at you as you were writing down some notes for your paper.

"In a bit." You said without looking up. "I want to finish this first."

"Which assignment is that?" Ignis asked as he looked over at your work.

"Korn is having me look up all of the gods." You said as you kept writing. "You know, 'who are they', 'what is their power', and 'where are they now'."

"He had me do that assignment last year after I asked about them." Ignis commented as he looked over your shoulder. "I can help you with it if you like?"

You looked up and smiled back at him. "You know that Korn wouldn't like that."

"I wouldn't be writing it for you." Ignis said with a smile. "Just helping you find the information."

You smiled back at him.

"That might be fun. We haven't worked together like that in a while." You said as you smiled back at him.

Ignis returned the smile as he gazed at you. "It almost seemed like a lifetime ago now doesn't it?"

"Yeah." You said as you looked down. "It's hard to believe that it's only been a few months." You said as if to yourself.

"It does seem that it should be later than it actually is." Ignis said as he glanced down and thought about the recent events.

"But you know what has made this incredible for me?" You asked as you looked at him.

Ignis looked back up at you with a curious look. "What might that be?" He asked.

"You." You simply commented as you looked at him. "Having you by my side this whole time has made this chaos worth wild. I couldn't have done it without you."

"I'm glad that I could be of assistance." Ignis said as he smiled back at you.

You smiled back at him, then you leaned over and gently kissed him on the cheek.

"I love you Ignis." You said as you leaned back so that you could look at him.

"I love you too." He returned, then kissed you gently on the lips.

Then you both smiled at each other before returning to the paper at hand. For the next hour or so, you both sat there on the couch as you went over what the paper should contain. Ignis told you what had worked for his when he had to written that very same paper last year. You decided to use some of his ideas as well as yours to come up with the final paper.

You looked over at him as you worked and smiled to yourself as you remembered how simple everything had been when he had helped you study at your house. You had been starting to wish more and more that you could go back to those days. But then again, if you were still there, you wouldn't have made the plunge that you did last night with him. You looked down as you remembered him touching you and decided that you wouldn't change a thing.
