Chapter 50 - Change of Plans
After playing twenty questions with the police, you were finally able to relax for a bit as they were being escorted out by Korn. You and Ignis were both sitting on the couch waiting for Korn to return. You were curled up next to Ignis with your feet on the couch and you had the blanket wrapped around the two of you. You had your head on his shoulder as you both watched the news as it was still talking about what happened. But this time it was on a different channel.
But you weren't really paying attention, since you felt like your head was about to explode from the interview. Some of the questions that they had asked shouldn't have been difficult. But the way that they asked them was almost misleading. But either way, you answered every question honestly. You figured that it didn't make any sense to keep anything from them since they would find out either way. And besides, like Tracy, you wanted justice served.
"Now that their gone. Let's get to work." Korn said as he walked back into the living room.
"Good." You said as you started moving the blanket off of you. "I'm tired of just sitting here doing nothing. So how do you want us to look for the slug."
Ignis and Korn both gave you a curious look as you stood up. Ignis wasn't quite sure what had gotten into you. And Korn was surprised that you knew what he was getting ready to say. You looked back and forth between the two.
"What?" You asked.
"How did you...?" Korn started to ask.
"My dad mentioned it as he was taking Tracy in to talk to the investigators." You plainly said.
"Plus." You continued as you crossed your arms. "I overheard the three of you before they laid down for their nap."
"Well then that makes this simple." Korn said as he pushed his glasses back on his face with his middle finger. "I want both of you to search the entire pool deck area to see if you can spot it. This includes the bottom of the pool. But I don't want you going in unless you absolutely have to. Right now the water temperature is way to cold for you to swim in it for an extended period of time. And be sure to search in the trap for the pool pump. There's a chance that it may have been caught in the drain."
"But what if the sniper is still out there?" Ignis asked as he searched his uncle's face.
"There is no worry with that. I have two teams searching for the sight of the shooter. One team is at the hotel across the way and another one is searching the citadel. Shooting over here will be the last thing that they'll be thinking about. They'll be to busy trying to hide if their still there." Korn said as he turned his attention to the buildings outside. "Besides, snipers usually only strike for their target once from one sight. After that they have to move in order to avoid detection. And in this one's case, there isn't any other location other then the hotel or the Citadel for them to shoot from. So it a safe to assume that they won't be trying that again anytime soon."
"Fine with me." You said as you stood up. "Let's get searching."
"Perhaps after lunch." Ignis chimed in. "It is about that time."
"Are you serious? Is it that late already?" You asked as you looked at him in surprise.
Then you looked at the time on your phone as saw that he was right. You hadn't realized how much time had passed while you were talking to the investigators. Not that you were really upset that you couldn't start the search yet. You just wanted to do something. All of the sitting was starting to make you anxious.
"Perhaps I could help?" You heard a soft voice say from the stairs.
Everyone turned and watched Mary walk over to the group.
"You should be resting my dear." Korn said as he turned his attention to her as he walked over to her.
"I'm fine Korn." She said with a smile as she came to a stop as she met up with him. "I have stitches from a scrap. Not from surgery. I think that I'll be fine. Beside, I'm with (y/n). I'm tired of just sitting around doing nothing. I want to help."
"If you insist. But you won't be lifting anything." Korn said as he placed his hands on her hips.
"I hadn't planned on it." She replied and placed her hands on his shoulders.
"Good." He said as he leaned in and gave her a slow kiss.
You rolled your eyes at them and turned your attention back to Ignis. "Shall we get lunch ready?"
"Sounds good." Ignis smiled back at you as he moved the blanket off to the side and stood up himself.
For the next hour or so, you and Ignis were busy in the kitchen making lunch. You were both having fun as you smiled and picking on each other as you cooked. You always seemed to need something right where he was standing. Or he had to get something that was right beside you. Which of course led to either being grabbed around the waist or a slight tickle to the sides followed by a couple quick kisses.
Which is why both of you were feeling a bit better by time it was finished. In fact, you were both still smiling as everyone sat down to eat, to include your dad and Tracy after Korn called them to wake them up. As everyone ate, Korn laid out the plans so that everyone was on the same page. Your dad and Tracy were heading over to the house to have all of the locks replaced, followed by a trip to the dealership. You and Ignis where to start the search for the slug that was somewhere on the pool deck. And Korn and Mary were going to handle the search efforts of the hotel and citadel.
By time everyone was finished, all of the details had been figured out. And as you and Ignis collected the dishes, everyone else headed out. Korn and Mary to the study. And Paul and Tracy to the house.
You and Ignis cleaned up the table and carried everything back into the kitchen to be washed and put away. You set the dishes in the sink and turned on the water so that you could start to wash them. Ignis went about putting away the rest of the food and cleaning up the kitchen. Once he was done he joined you at the sink and started drying off the dishes so that he could put them away.
"You know. This isn't exactly how I pictured our winter break." You said as you washed a plate then set it in the strainer.
"Nor did I." Ignis said as he dropped his head as he grabbed the plate and started drying it off. "But I suppose we could be doing worse things than this."
You slightly laughed.
"I suppose." You said as you put another clean dish in the strainer. "But you know what?"
"Hmm?" Ignis asked as he watched you as you washed another dish.
"Even through we're doing this." You said before you turned and looked at him. "I don't mind. In fact I'm enjoying myself."
"Really?" He asked as he smiled back at you as he starting drying off another dish.
"Yeah." You replied as you paused and looked at him. "As long as I'm with you. I don't really care what we're doing. Just as long as I get to spend time with you."
Ignis slightly smiled back at you as he searched your face. "I feel the same way."
You both then grinned broadly at each other as you continued to wash the dishes. After you were done, you headed out to the pool deck to begin the search.
Tracy could feel her heart start to race as Paul turned the car onto his street. She couldn't help but slightly gasp as she saw the area still taped off from where Bill and Greg's car had sat. Paul looked over at her as she looked at the area in shock as tears started to form again in her eyes. He reached over and grabbed her hand as he slowed down as they approached the house. Then as he hit the garage door button, he happen to notice the news vans parked across the street from the house.
"Looks like they waited for us." He said as he watched them start to get out of the vans as he turned the car and started backing up into the garage.
Then before he could get the car completely to a stop, the reporters were already running up to the garage. But much to the reporters dismay, he had hit the garage door button again as he was backing up and the door was closed on them right as they reached the garage. Paul then put the car in park and turned it off. They both sighed as the reporters started knocking on the garage door.
"We just want to ask you a few questions?" One female reporter shouted through the door.
"We're not answering any questions right now." Paul call out to the reporter as he got out of the car.
"Do you know anything about the double homicide that occurred here last night?" A male reporter asked.
"I assure you we have no idea what your talking about." Paul said as he walked around the car to meet up with Tracy as she froze in place as she heard the question.
"Where you directly involved in any way with the double homicide that occurred right here on your street?" Another female report asked.
"Now what kind of question is that?" Paul asked in shock as he helped Tracy out of the car.
"Did you plan for the bomb to go off under the police cruiser as a means of escaping from being arrested?" Asked another male voice.
"Where do you guys get this stuff from?" Paul asked as he was almost shouting at the door as he slammed the car door shut.
"Look, we just back back from the hospital." Paul called out to them as he started usher Tracy away from the car.
"But sir?" A younger female asked.
"But nothing. We're not answering any questions and we would like you to respect our privacy." Paul said to the door as he lead Tracy to the door leading into the house. "Now unless you would rather talk to the police behind bars for trespassing on private property. I would suggest you leave the premises."
Paul then opened up the door and escorted Tracy inside as they heard nothing but voices coming through the garage door as they all talked over each other as they tried to get them To talk more. Paul noticed that Tracy was slightly shaking as he had his hand on her back as he closed the door behind them. He then turned her towards him as he pulled her in for a full embrace. He knew that their questions were what was bothering her and all he could do was hold her at the moment.
After a few moments, he felt her body start to calm down again. Until soon she stopped shaking all together. Paul slightly smiled and gave her a gentle kiss on her head.
"How about you go and relax in my office while I change the codes. We have to wait a bit for the Locksmith anyway. And you don't need to hear these idiots outside." He suggested as he rubbed her back.
"Okay." She quietly replied as she rested her head against his chest as she seemed to be in a daze.
Tracy knew that she would have to hear questions like that. But she hadn't expected it to hit her so hard. Of course she had just seen the scene again as if their car and bodies were still on the street. So she couldn't help but see Bills lifeless body still laying on the asphalt. She slightly trembled as she closed her eyes again.
Paul pulled her in closer and just held her for awhile. He didn't say anything as he held her. But he didn't have to. He knew that words weren't what she wanted right then. What she wanted was silent comfort and a shoulder to cry on.
Once she was calm again she push slightly against him as she turned to look at him. Paul simply smiled at her as he loosened up his grip on her. Then he gave her a gentle kiss on her forehead and released her completely. She then dropped her eyes and headed for the stairs.
Meanwhile.....
"Have they found anything out of the ordinary yet?" Mary asked over Korn's shoulder as she listened to the radios going off through Korn's computer speakers.
"No." Korn said as he watched the computer screen carefully as he was looking through the two different cameras that were on one member of each of the security teams. "Nothing yet."
The teams had already searched the entire roof and the top three floors for both the citadel and the hotel and so far nothing. Korn was starting to think that they weren't going to get anywhere with this. That was until he saw one of the team members from the team in the hotel, stop dead in their tracks and hold out their hand to stop everyone else as well.
"You hear that?" He quietly asked as he stood frozen in his tracks.
"Hear what?" Another member asked.
"I heard someone talking." He returned.
"So?" Another member asked.
"So?" He returned in slight shock. "This floor is completely closed down for renovation. The hotel manager told us that himself."
"Perhaps it's one of the construction workers from the renovation." Chimed in another member.
"On a saturday?" He asked as he looked at the guy who asked the question. "What company do you know, besides the citadel, that works on a saturday?"
"Check it out." Korn order them.
"But keep in silent and don't use force unless you have to. Understood?" Korn asked as he looked at the screen.
"Yes sir." They all said.
Then they quietly and slowly started going through searching each room and area that they came to. Until they all suddenly froze outside of one room. Then as the one with the camera got close, even Korn could hear what they were saying.
"I did what you wanted." They heard a male voice say. "Now when will I get paid for this?............What do you mean we have to wait?.............Look I want these guys to pay just as much as you do..............Yes I shot at the him.............No...........He moved at the last minute...........No I didn't try again. Are you nuts? They would have figured out where I was shooting from then.............Yes I changed locations............No.......I'm waiting for now. The place is crawling with cops."
"That sounds like our sniper." Korn said to the team through their headsets. "Take him down."
No one on the team responded. Instead they gave him a thumbs up as they positioned themselves outside of the room. Then the leader counted down with one hand so that the team could see and sent them flying through the door. All Korn heard at that point was them shouting at the guy as they rushed in.
"Drop the gun! Get on the floor with your hands over your head!" Korn heard them shout as they rushed into the room.
Then Korn saw the room as they ran in. The room had a single bed with one bedside table that was covered up with plastic. The sniper was sitting on a chair facing the window when they came in. He turned around and looked at them as he still held his long range rifle with a scope on it. Then he stood up and gave them a very serious look.
"I really wish you hadn't found me." He said in an almost hurt voice.
"Drop the gun!" One of the team members shouted at him.
"Fine. But either way. None of us are leaving this room alive now." He said as set his gun down.
"What does...." Korn started to asked as he carefully watched the sniper as he ripped open his shirt and showed them the C4 that was wrapped around his waist.
"SHIT! HE'S GOT A BOMB ON HIM! GET THE HELL OUT OF THERE!" Korn shouted as he watched the shooter reach in his pocket and pull out something from his pocket that had a wire attached to it.
As he did, Korn watched two members rush forward to try and restrain him. Then he lost the visual as the member with the camera on, turned and started running out the door. But even as he got into the hallway, he just wasn't fast enough as suddenly there was a huge explosion that quickly cut out the camera. Then Korn jumped from not only hearing it through his computer speakers but also from outside as the sound shatter the sounds of the streets below. Korn quickly looked up at the hotel and saw how there was now a window that was shattered for one of the center rooms on the fourth floor down.
Mary stood there in shock as she looked at the smoke and fire billowing from the now open window. She couldn't get over what she had just seen. If it hadn't been for the fact that she was now looking at the building itself smoking. She would have just thought that is was some movie scene.
But as she watched the smoke coming from the inside of the building. She couldn't help but stare in shock as all she heard was Korn yelling at the computer as he tried to get anyone from the team to respond. But no one seemed to answer. It was nothing but silence and a black screen for the camera.
"Uuugh." You grunted as you sat down on one of the chairs that sat beside the table that was under the patio roof. "I give up. We can't find it."
"It has to be here somewhere." Ignis said as he kept looking at the deck as he carefully scanned the ground for any type of imperfection.
"But where?" You asked as you slouched back in the chair as you were starting to get frustrated.
"Well we won't know until we find it." He replied as he continued to search the deck. "Now come on. The deck can't search itself."
"Ugh. Fine." You said as you got back up.
But right as you did, you fell back into the chair as an explosion from the hotel next door startled you, causing you to lose your balance. You only had a second to look at it before Ignis grabbed your hand and pulled you inside the condo. Once inside, you both turned around and stared back in shock as you watched smoke and fire start to pour out of blown open window near the top of the building.
"Do you think...?" You asked almost under your breath as you turned and faced Ignis.
"I don't know." He quietly returned as he slowly focused on you.
Suddenly you both heard Korn yelling as the office door flew open as Mary stuck her head out to make sure that you were both inside.
"Good your inside already." She said with a sign of relief. "Are you both okay? Your not hurt are you?"
"No. We're both alright." Ignis replied as he watched her nervously look at the two of you.
"Thank the gods. I was afraid that you both might of been hurt from that." She replied as she dropped her shoulders.
"What happened?" You asked as you searched her face.
She took as deep breath and dropped her gaze. "They found the shooter."
"Really?" You asked as you stared at her in disbelief. "But isn't that a good thing?"
"Normally yes." She replied before looked back up at you. "But in this case, he was prepared to make the ultimate sacrifice. And he didn't care who he took with him."
"You mean he..?" Ignis asked in shock. "He set that off?"
Mary paused for a moment as she tried to keep her emotions under control. Then all she simply did was nod. Both of you stood there with your mouths a gap as you looked at her. The whole thing sounded surreal. If it wasn't for the smoke pouring out the building and the muffled sirens going off outside, you would have thought she was joking.
"Korn's trying to get the other team over there now to check on them." She continued as she looked back out the window. "Because so far he hasn't been able to get anyone to respond to his calls on the hotel team."
Your breath caught as you turned your gaze back to the black smoke as it bellowed out the now open window. You couldn't even Imagine the fear the team must have thought within those last few seconds. Ignis interlaced his fingers with yours as he moved closer to you.
"We really need to find that slug now." You said as you stared out the window.
"Indeed." Ignis said as he slightly squeezed your hand. "Let's look again."
"Yeah." You replied with a new determination.
Then the two of you went back out and started the search all over again.
"Alright." Paul said as he closed up the control panel for the alarm system. "That takes care of that."
"Paul....." Paul heard Tracy say as she came walking down the stairs.
"Yeah." He said as he looked towards the stairs as he walked around to see Tracy coming down.
He froze for a moment as he saw tears in her eyes as she walked down holding her phone out in front of her as she came downstairs.
"What's wrong?" He asked as he felt his heart rate drastically increase.
"It's Korn." She quietly said as she handed him the phone. "They found the shooter."
"Really?" Paul asked as he was starting to get excited as he grabbed the phone from her. "That's great. Right?"
But when Tracy dropped her gaze more he started to get nervous. "The shooter had a back up plan in case he was caught."
Paul felt his heart start to pound against his chest as he slowly raised the phone to his ear. "What happened to my teams Korn?"
"We had no way of knowing what they were walking into." Korn started to say.
"What happened to my teams Korn?!" Paul said with more force.
"We only heard him talking." Korn continued. "We had no indication that that was what he had planned."
"WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO MY TEAMS, KORN?!" Paul shouted in the phone.
After a brief silence, Paul heard an answer that would haunt him forever. For the words seemed to play over and over in his head as if on a broken record. And just seemed to add to the ever growing cinema of past events that had kept him on edge all these years.
"We found out what hotel room he was in as they searched the rooms. The hotel team then charged in and found the sniper by the window. But when they told him to drop his gun, he set it down and opened his shirt. He had what looked like C4 wrapped around his waist." Korn quietly said as Paul felt his heart in his throat again. "Some of them tried to take him down. While the others tried to get back out of the room. But the blast was enough to knock out the door, all the walls and it shattered the outside window."
"When the citadel team went to check on them, none of them were responsive. I'm sorry Paul. But I'm afraid the whole team in the hotel was killed." Korn said as Paul stood there frozen in place, as the shock started to set it.
"Paul?" Tracy asked as she watched him slowly drop his hand with her phone in it.
She started to get nervous as she saw his breathing become shallow and his muscles start to twitch as he stood there. He dropped her phone on the ground as he released his grip on it. She stepped up to him and placed her hands on his face as she tried to get him to look at her. But his eyes kept darting around as if he was conflicted as to what he had just heard. Tracy then ran her hands through his hair as she tried to get his attention again.
"Paul." She said as she tried to get him to look at him.
"No." He quietly said as he shifted his feet.
He could feel his body starting to shake from a combination of rage and sorrow as he tried to comprehend it all. Once again he had lost an entire team. Sure he may not have been the one in charge of them this time. But they were still his team. He had hand selected them for the mission based on their observation skills and tactical training. And they had been more than willing to join. But now instead of their families picking out holiday presents for them. They would be picking out their head stone.
He stepped back from Tracy as he ran his hands through his hair on the sides of his head. He was struggling to stay in control as he could feel his temper starting to take over for failing them yet again. Tracy stepped forward and placed her hands on his as she tried to calm him down as she watched him starting to crack.
"Paul." She said as she stepped in front of him again. "Look at me."
Paul tried to break loose of her grip.
"Paul. Look at me." She said with more force as she forced his head towards her as he fought to look away.
"No!" He said and moved his head further away.
"Damn it Paul. Look at me." She almost yelled as she yanked his face over so that he had to look at her. "It's not your fault. And you know that. Like you said earlier. It was their job. They died doing exactly what they were trained to do. They found him and took him out before he could hurt someone else. You know that as much as I do."
"But it's my job to keep them safe!" He shouted back. "And now because of me, their families will be gathering for a funeral, instead of a family celebration!"
"And we'll be there to honor each and every one of them." She said back with force, as tears streamed down her cheeks as she watched him starting to loose it. "Your team. And mine. Because that's what a great leader like you does. And that's why they are all willing to put their lives on the line for you. Because they know that you will do everything and anything to take care of them and their family. Don't make them regret that choice."
Paul then dropped his head and slowly leaned up against the wall. Then he slid down the wall as he slowly crumbled. Tracy slid down with him. As he came to a stop on the floor, his whole body started shaking as he collapsed and let the emotions take over completely. And this time it was Tracy who wrapped her arms around him as she held him tight as he trembled in her arms.
You could still hear a few sirens from the fire and police department vehicles as they were responding to the fire at the hotel. You tried not to hear it as you and Ignis both moved across the ground on your hands and knees as you search every crevice and crack on the pool deck. You were determined to find the slug. For all you could think about now was helping them solve the case now for the families of the team members that were just lost.
Neither you nor Ignis spoke as you searched the deck around the pool. Instead you were each carefully searching the area around the pool so that you could be sure that you didn't miss a single inch. But as you reached the far side of the pool again, you were starting to lose hope.
And that's when it dawned on you. What if the bullet is in the pool? And not on the bottom or in the drain. But perhaps in the inside wall of the pool. There was always a chance that the bullet was flying fast enough to get stuck in the wall even after traveling through the water.
Now you wouldn't have to search the whole pool. Just the wall that was facing the hotel. And not even all of the wall. You mainly just needed to search the wall behind where they had fallen into the pool from the strike.
So without saying a word. You walked around to the side of the pool where Korn and Mary had stood. Then you looked at the pool with the hotel at your back. Then you slide down to the section of the pool where they had fallen in. Once you had the wall in front of you, you started stripping down to your underwear. Ignis immediately stopped what he was doing and quickly came over to you.
"Might I ask what your doing?" He asked as he was trying to block you from view of the guests at the hotel.
"I'm getting in." Your said as you took off your pants and set them on the deck.
"May I ask why?" He asked as he quickly grabbed the pants and folded them up as he watched you.
"I'm testing a theory." You said as you grabbed the bottom of the hoodie and started to pull it off.
"Whoa." He said and quickly wrapped his arms around your waist to keep you from pull it off.
"What theory?" He asked as he held you close to him.
"Well it's more like a hunch." You said as you started sliding your arms out of the sleeves.
"A hunch?" He asked as he watched you for a moment as you brought your arms inside the hoodie completely.
"Yes." You replied as you looked at him. "I have a hunch that the bullet is in the pool wall."
Ignis gave you a stunned look as if he was surprised that he hadn't thought about that himself. "In the pool wall?"
"Well yeah." You replied with a slight smile.
"We haven't been able to find it on the deck. And it wasn't in the traps or on the bottom of the pool. We would have seen that. So it has to be in the wall. And not just any wall." You said with a smile as you slid your arms out the bottom of the hoodie.
Then you turned and pointed to the far wall. "Only that wall would make sense."
Ignis dropped his hands as he realized that you might be on to something. But before he could really react or say another word. You had slipped out of his hands and the hoodie and dove straight into the water only wearing your bra and panties.
"Damn it." He said as he quickly started stripping himself. "This is going to be cold."
Then after quickly discarding his clothes right beside yours without folding any of it. He dove in himself only wearing his boxer briefs. Shortly after he entered the water, he hissed from the cold as it immediately took a toll on one major part of his body. But he kept going as he followed you towards the bottom half of the wall. Then he joined you as you both started running your hands along the wall as you tried to feel the bullet.
After a few minutes you had to surface to take a breath. Ignis followed you back up to the surface. But before he had a chance to say anything to you. You swam back down to continue the search.
He paused for a moment as he gasped from the shrinkage that seemed to be getting more painful by the minute. But after a few moments you resurfaced again. You were about to go back down again when you noticed that he seemed to be very uncomfortable. So you moved up closer to him as he hung onto the wall.
"Are you okay?" You asked as you moved up close to him.
"The water is just a bit colder than I expected." He said through his gritted teeth.
*You can get out then if you have to." You returned as you moved in closer to him as you tried to warm him up.
"I can't let you do this on your own." He said as he cringed again from a twinge of pain as he felt it shrinking further back.
"And I can't have you uncomfortable like this." You said as you were right in front of him as you tried to warm him up. "Cold doesn't affect me as much as you. Please get out Ignis. I'm almost done anyway."
Ignis closed his eyes for a second as he was about to argue back again. Until he felt you press yourself up against him as you wrapped your leg around him. He opened his eyes again as you searched his. He knew that you were right. He wasn't helping at the moment. Not in that state anyway.
"But how....?" He said as he slightly twitched as you wrapped one arm around his waist as you pressed your pelvis against his.
"How did I know that you were having trouble?" You asked as you smiled at him. "You not the only guy that I have ever known you know. A lot of the guys on the swim team would have to sit out if the pool was cold. Even in Altissia, once the water hit a certain temperature my dad wouldn't go anywhere near it. So please. Let me get this. Okay?"
Ignis sighed as he looked at you. He was already starting to feel a bit better from the heat coming off of you. But he knew that you were right. This wasn't helping out anyone.
"Fine. For now." He said as he could feel his body starting to calm down again. "But your not staying in here long. This temperature isn't good for you either."
"I hadn't planned on taking long." You smiled back. Then you gave him a deep kiss as a means of warming both of you up.
He slightly moaned as he felt his body starting to warm up a bit more then he knew you had intended. Which told him that he better get out sooner rather than later. Otherwise he would be in more pain once he was out of the water. But before he could react further. You slowly pulled away and looked at him.
"Out you go." You teased and released him. "Let me get this done really quick before I freeze too."
He shivered the minute you released him. He then quickly climbed out. You smiled at him, then you quickly went back under water and continued to search the wall. You continued to search for a few more minutes before you surfaced again. But then as you went back down you finally felt something jetting out the wall.
You quickly started wiggling it with your cold fingers. And soon it came out in your hand. After clasping it tightly in your hand, you surfaced again. Much was really close since now you were only under water by about two feet.
As you came back up you tried to grab the wall, but your hands were ice cold now, and they hurt as you tried to get out. Ignis saw this and leaned down and grabbed your hand. Then he helped you out of the pool by pulling you up by your arms.
"Did you find it?" Ignis asked after he got you on the pool deck.
You were too cold to answer with words. But you figured your smug look as you showed him the slug would say everything that your mouth couldn't say. Considering now you were shivering almost uncontrollably. He looked at the slug and just smiled back at you. Then he pulled you into his lap and held you close as he tried to warm up both of you. He wrapped his towel around both of you and pulled you flush against him.
"You are truly amazing." He said with a shiver before he kissed you.
The kiss seemed to be enough to thaw out your lips as he started out gentle before he increased the pressure and turned it into a hard passionate kiss.
"What in the heavens are you two doing?" You heard coming from the door.
You both broke away and turned to face the door. Mary stood there in shock as she looked at the two of you sitting there on the deck in only a towel and underwear kissing each other. But then when the two of you simply smiled back at her, she became very confused. That was until you showed her the slug in your hand.
