ON the trip back to the citadel you talked about what you had seen in the parking lot with Ignis and Noctis. Short of it sounding like something out of a horror film, they both sat there and quietly listened. But you grew nervous when you were finished, since neither of them said anything. You dropped your head as the silence seemed to extend longer than you thought it should have.

They must think that I'm going crazy now. You thought as you started nervously rubbing your hands together.

"I know what I said sounds crazy." You quietly said as you tried to calm your hands back down. "But I know what I saw and it was a man with bright red hair in a long black trench coat. And those eyes, those weren't normal eyes."

"Was this the first time that you have ever seen him?" Ignis finally asked as he broke the awkward silence.

"Yeah." You quietly said as you recalled his nice smile before he turned demonic. "That's not exactly a face that you would ever forget."

"No its not." Noctis said as he stared out the window. "Not if it's the same person that my dad has been talking about for years now."

"You don't think that it could be Adagium do you?" Ignis asked Noctis.

"But there's no way. Legend says that he is locked up at the Angelgard." You returned.

"He was. But the empire broke him out." Ignis gravely answered as he looked out the window. "If that was indeed him, we have to inform his majesty once we get back."

Noctis grunted his agreement, then turned his attention outside the car window.

The car fell silent for the rest of the trip. Not even the radio was enough to distract anyone as each of you were lost in thought before the car pulled up in front of the citadel. After the car came to a stop, everyone quietly climbed out and started walking up the stairs carrying their school bag.

"Perhaps we should check-in with Korn first before we go to King Regis." You said as you climbed the stairs. "This way he can scout it out before we get the King worked up over the wrong the person."

"That might not be a bad idea." Noctis said as he walked to your left. "I would rather not upset him if the person isn't the Adagium."

"I was thinking the same thing." Ignis said as he looked in you general direction. "We can't be sure until we have more information on him. The more the better. This way we can be prepared either way."

"It's settled then." Noctis said. "Let's go see Korn." You and Ignis both nodded in agreeance.

"So your saying that you saw him getting out of the Yeagre's limo at school today?" Korn tried to confirm as he sat behind his desk while you stood in front of Him.

Noctis and Ignis were sitting in the chairs that were against the wall.

"Yes sir." You confirmed with confidence. "He had wild red hair and a black trench coat that had what look like gray lace around the arms and upper back."

"And you said that when he looked at you, his face changed?" Korn asked carefully as he watched for you expression.

You body started shaking again as you could see those piercing yellow eyes of his, staring back at you as his eyes and mouth seemed to ooze black ink. You took a shaky breath as you tried to relax again.

"Yes sir." You quietly confirmed then glanced down for a moment before you looked back up. "It was like something out of a nightmare."

Korn sat back in his chair for a moment as he considered what he was just told. The whole room was quite as he thought. Then he looked back at you for a moment.

Could it possibly be him? But there hasn't been any sightings of him for months. Korn thought. Then he looked at you again. But this could be an attempt to get her again. And at this point I wouldn't put it past the empire.

"Thank you all, for letting me know." Korn said as he rubbed his chin. "I'll have some of my agents check into it. And don't worry about King Regis. I brief him myself on this turn of events. Then I will debrief the king with the findings."

"Thank you sir." You and Ignis replied. Noctis simply nodded.

"In the meantime. I want the three of you to be vigilant while we take care of this matter." Korn continued as he gave the three of you a very serious look. "Inform me immediately if you notice anything out of the ordinary. If that was indeed Adagium, then we can expect major trouble."

"Yes sir." The three of you replied.

"I would ask that your highness to be extra vigilant." Korn said as he looked right at Noctis. "I'm going to increase the guards around you for a bit, just to be on the safe side."

Noctis dropped his head as he sat forward in his chair and clasped his hands in front of himself after rested his elbows on his knees. He knew that was coming. But even though it was necessary, it didn't make it pleasant for him. But it was either that, or he would be pulled out of the school all together or be sent somewhere else. He would rather not have to go to those extremes unless they had no other choice.

"I will also have to ask that none of you do your runs outside for the time being." Korn said to the group. "At least not until we are sure that the threat is gone. I want to limit the amount of exposure that you have to the general public."

"But what about the dance tonight, the concert, and the swim meets?" You quickly asked as your heart started to race.

"We'll have extra glaives with you during those so you should be fine." Korn said as he smiled at you. "Don't worry. You'll still be able to go."

You gave him a very relieved smile back as you felt your whole body relax.

"Thank you." You quietly said.

Korn just smiled and nodded back to you. "Now I think the three of you have some place that you need to go to tonight. Your highness will be leaving first for swim practice. I'll send Cor with you so that you will have someone you trust watching you during practice."

Noctis reluctantly nodded. At least it's Cor. He thought as he rested his head on his hands.

"And as for you two, I'll have a couple of undercover glaives there to keep you two safe." Korn said as he looked at you and Ignis.

"But all of you, try to act as normal as possible. Let the glaives and guards do their jobs. I don't want any of you engaging anyone unless you have to. Do you understand me?" Korn said in a firm voice.

"Yes sir." Both you and Ignis replied.

"Got it." Noctis said then stood up.

"Oh one last thing. Tonight's dinner for you two will be at the school." Korn said to you and Ignis. "I'll be eating here with his majesty. So there won't be any need for either of you to worry about cooking tonight." He said with a smile. "But I do expect you two to relax and have some fun. You have both definitely earned it."

"Thank you." You both replied.

"Now go get ready. I have a few phone calls to make." Korn said as he picked up his phone.

"Right." Noctis said and headed for the door with you and Ignis in tow.

"I didn't know that dinner was included with the dance for tonight. Did I miss something during the morning announcements at school?" You asked Ignis.

"No. Not exactly. " Ignis said as he had his head down as he searched the ground in front him.

You gave him a curious look.

He's hiding something from me. You thought as you watched him carefully.

There weren't many signs to show that he was nervous, unless you were touching him. But you had learned to recognize a few of them by now. And one of them was him searching with his eyes as he looked down. Which for you now, was a dead give away.

"What do you mean 'not exactly'?" You asked him.

Ignis slowly turned his head towards you and gave you a sly smile. "You will just have to wait and find out my dear."

You matched his smile as you narrowed your eyes at him. "Ok. I can wait."

"Just be careful tonight." Noctis said in a serious voice as he watched you two.

"Not to worry Noct." Ignis said in a reassuring voice. "I'll protect her like you would."

Noct nodded at Ignis, then he looked at you. "Be sure that you do."

It must have been about two hour after you arrived back in your room that you were finally putting on the final touches of your make-up. You were standing in the bathroom as you looked at yourself in the mirror as you made sure that your lipstick was just right. You had gone with a dark red, so that it would accent your face just right. The rest of your make-up was light and just enough to bring out your natural colors, while still covering up the pimples that always seemed to show up at the wrong time.

You looked at your hair one last time as well to make sure that it looked just right. For tonight you decided to do something different. You decided to take Noctis' advice and leave your hair down. You normally wouldn't leave it down since it drove you crazy. But you figured that you could handle it for one night.

As you did one finally look in the mirror, you heard a knock on your door. "Come in." You shouted out of the bathroom as moved your hair behind your ear on one side as you tried to decide if you wanted it that way or not.

"(Y/n)?" You heard Noctis call from the main room.

"Oh." You said then stepped out of the bathroom. "Coming."

You were looking down as you walked out, so you missed Noctis' shocked expression as he became frozen in place. His breath caught in his throat and his heart seemed to stop, as he watched you glide out of the bathroom as you walked over to him. He already knew that you were gorgeous, since he had seen you dressed up once already. But even that didn't prepare him for how well you seemed to fit into the new dress. He couldn't even describe it as you came up to him and smiled at him. Except that now he felt a pain in his heart, that he wasn't the one that you had gotten dressed up for this time.

You had slowly walked out and over to him as you were afraid of falling on your face as you were trying to get use to the dress. It was a bit longer than you remembered. But at least it felt lighter as well. This would make it much easier to dance in. You nervously stopped in front of Noctis and bit your lip before you looked up at him and gave him a nervous smile.

"What do you think?" You quietly asked as he simply stared at you with his mouth slightly open.

Noctis tried to form a word but nothing seemed to come out. All he could do was stare as his heart seemed to be trying to break out of his chest. He was at a lose for what to say. He looked down to try and regain his thoughts as he swallowed in an attempt to try and wet his now dry throat. Then he looked back up at you with a smile.

"I'm thinking that I got the bad end of the deal here." He said in a shaking voice as he tried to calm down his heart rate.

You smiled shyly at him as you looked down as you tried to hide the heat rising in your cheeks. "Well you did already get to have the first dance with me." You quietly said then raised up your eyes so that you could look at him.

Noctis nervously laughed as he looked back down. "I did." He said then looked back up at you. "Then may I also be the first one to give you a gift?"

You quickly looked up at Noctis in surprise as he slowly handed you a small box that he been hiding behind his back when he came in. You nervously looked down at the box as you reached out with shaking hands. Noctis saw how nervous you were. So he reach over and grasped you hand and wrapped it around the box as he wrapped his hand around you hand. Then he looked back up at you as you gave him a stunned look.

"I wanted to give you something to thank you for everything that you've done for me." He quietly said as he lightly squeezed your hands before releasing them. "I hope that you like it."

With shaking hands you opened up the small box to reveal a 2 1/4 karat diamonds, blue sapphire crystals, and Austrian crystal encrusted hair pin. Your jaw dropped as the light make the diamonds and crystals sparkle. You put your hand to your mouth to keep from screaming and scaring Noctis.

"This is gorgeous. But I can't accept this." You quietly said as you dropped your hand while your heart leaped.

"Yes you can." He said with a smile as he grabbed the comb and moved to your side so that he could put it in for you.

"Besides, even something like this could never make up for everything that you have gone through." He quietly said as he expertly slide the teeth of the comb up the side of you head before flip it to lock it place to hold back you hair on one side.

Once he was satisfied with how it looked he took a step back and looked at you again.

"Besides, it wouldn't look nearly as good on me, as it does on you right now." He said in a dreamy voice.

"How did you know how to put it in?" You asked as you watched him smile at you.

"My mom use to let me put hers in for her. She once told me that it was skill that my future wife would appreciate." He said as he slowly let his eyes gaze further into yours. "So why not practice with you."

You looked down as you blushed. "Thank you Noct."

"Anytime princess." He said as he set the box on your end stand. "Now would it be ok if I escorted you to the sitting room? Your date is waiting."

You slightly looked back up with tears starting in your eyes. "I would like that a lot." You said through a shaking voice.

Noctis put his hand on your chin and raised your eyes to meet his. "No tears thought." He quietly said as he stared at you as his heart felt like it was going to beat out of his chest. "Your makeup will run."

You slightly smiled back. "Ok." You whispered back.

Then with a deep breath as he tried to get his heart rate back under control, he dropped his hand and raised his arm for you to grab.

I can't go there. No matter how much I want to. He told himself as he fought the urge to kiss you.

He had promised Luna, and he wasn't about to break that promise. Besides you had Ignis, one of his closest friends. Who was waiting for you downstairs as you stood there. And no prince or king has ever married their retainer. Although most retainers were the same sex as their charge. Perhaps this was one of the reasons why.

You shyly smiled as you took his arm and he slowly walked you out of your room and on down to the sitting room. You heart was racing like crazy as you walked with Noctis. But you couldn't tell anymore if it was from when he had had his hand on your chin. Or if it was from nerves as you approached the sitting room. But just before you walked into the room you stopped in your tracks.

"Are you sure that I'm ready?" You nervously said as you stood fast. "I mean....do I look ok?" You desperately asked as you looked at Noctis.

Noctis gave you a grin. "You look better than ok. You look gorgeous." He said as he squeezed your hand. "And you are more than ready."

Your heart leaped at his words as he gave you a loving gaze. You smiled back and dropped your gaze as bit your lip. You felt your confidence soar at his words.

"Go on. In you go." He said as he opened the door for you.

"Right." You said as you smiled back then entered the room.

When you entered, you were greeted by Monica and Gladio as they stood next to each other near the door. Monica's face lite up with a huge smile as she stood there in her slim red dress and white shawl. Gladio's jaw dropped only to be quickly turned into a smug smile as he nodded his approval. (After all he had already seen you in the dress once before.) He looked very handsome with his black suit with a red vest, tie and handkerchief. Monica seemed to really like it as well. For she was gripping his arm like he was going to melt away.

You smiled as them and shook your head. Then you looked across the room and saw Ignis standing with his back to you in his slim black crisp suit. The suit seemed to accent his strong shoulders and trim waist as the jacket seemed to hang loosely around his waist. The straight pant legs showed off his height as they hung straight down to his high polished shoes. You went to take a step forward, but found that your feet felt unsteady, as you looked at him. Then he slowly turned around to face you and you felt too weak in the knees to attempt moving all together. Your breath caught as you saw the gorgeous blue vest, tie, and handkerchief that he was sporting.

Ignis had slowly turned around, once he felt that he was ready to face whatever reaction that he might get from you. For he had been fighting with his nerves ever since he had gotten back from the condo. He was fine while he and Gladio changed there. And even when they had swung by to pick up Monica before returning to the citadel to pick you up. He had hoped that by watching how Gladio handled Monica, that he might gain some confidence in handling seeing you.

But as he turned around, he was greeted with you looking more stunning than he had ever imagined. He had never seen you with your hair down before. And now he was blown away with how long and beautiful it was, as it hung low against your back and across your right breast. The top part of the dress looked as soft as you had felt the last time he had touched you. And the bottom lacy skirt looked like it was teasing to fly up if you spun to quick.

Overall he was blown away and turned on all at the same time. This might prove to be a bit difficult to behave tonight while he danced with you. But this was a challenge that he was actually looking forward to now.

After finally remembering that he had legs, he moved towards you with a small box in his hand that he had been holding ever since he grabbed it from Jared earlier today. Once he was in front of you, he dropped his head and slowly grabbed your hand. He stood there for a few minutes as he tried to gain his courage again. Then you slightly squeezed his hand. He looked up at you to see that you were giving him a huge smile.

"Wow." You said with slight tears in your eyes. "You look amazing." You said then bit your bottom lip to keep the tears in from the extreme happiness you felt for seeing him looking so breathtaking.

"I am pale when compared to your beauty darling." He said in his usual smooth accent. Which seemed to send shivers down your spin tonight. "And I have a couple of things for you, that will only raise that level to one that can't possible be measured."

Your heart leaped at his words. Then you felt another small box being placed on your hand. It was amazing how heavy these tiny boxes felt as they were placed on your hand. They may not have physically weight that much. But the emotional weight of how they were handed to you made them feel like 5lbs. bricks. You slowly looked down and saw that this box was long a thin. But as you opened it you were blown away again.

The blue sapphire gems and quartz crystals shined in the light as it bounced off of them. Your breath caught as you looked at them. They matched perfectly to the hair clip that Noctis had just given you. It was as if they had both shopped at the same place or something.

"Ignis." You gasped. "You didn't have to."

"I know." He quietly said to you. "But I wanted to anyway." He quietly said took the necklace from the box and walked around you so that he was behind you.

Then he brought the necklace in front of you before pulling it back and laying it across your neck. You reached your hand up and touched the gems as they felt cool against your chest. He pulled both ends around your neck. Then with one hand, you moved your hair to one side so that he could fasten the necklace on you. You slightly gasped and dropped your hand as he fingers traced across your neck as he adjusted the necklace around your neck. Then you gasped again as he ran both hands up your neck as he then slowly spreaded your hair across your back and shoulders again.

Then he moved to the side to see it on you. He smiled warmly at the look. Then he reached for the earrings. You placed your hand on his before he removed them from the box.

"I can get these." You quietly said as you tried to get your heart rate back down again.

"Very well." He said then stood back and watched as you put on both earrings.

You were glad that he didn't argue about you wanting to put on the earrings yourself. Since you had been a bit afraid to have him do it. His touch again at this point might be a bit too much for you. Especially on your ears. It was bad enough that you neck was now nothing but jello that was barely holding up your head. But once you had them on, you smiled back to Ignis.

"How do I look?" You asked as you watched his reaction.

You could see the slight fire in his eyes as he looked over your face and body as he took both of your hands and kissed them before looking back in your eyes. "Darling, you look perfect tonight."

You dropped your eyes for a moment as you tried to keep the heat from taking over your face as a smile spread across your face. Then you felt his hand on your chin as he slowly lifted your gaze so that he could see you again. You could see the fire in his eyes again as well as something else that you hadn't seen before. Could that be love in his eyes? You heart leaped at the thought.

Could he possibly be looking at me as more than just a friend now? You thought as it became hard to breath.

"If you two are done. I'll be taking my leave then." You heard Noctis say from the door in an unusually harsh tone.

"I'll see you when you get back." You heard him say before he walked away.

His tone and words broke you out of your trance that Ignis had had you locked in. You smiled back at Ignis as you returned the feelings that you had been hiding from him. He gave you a huge grin back and dropped his hand only to offer you his arm. You dropped your head for only a moment before you looked back at him and wrapped your hand around his arm. He grinned back and placed his hand on yours.

"Be safe tonight Noct." Ignis called after him.

"And don't hide from Cor." You told him as he walked away.

"Like that could happen." He shouted back as he gave a wave with his hand before he walked out of sight.

"Cor?" Monica asked. "Is Cor watching him tonight?" She asked as she searched everyone's faces.

"He's covering for Gladio tonight." Ignis answered as he squeezed your hand as if to keep you from saying anything. So you bit back telling her the full story. "This way he can attend the dance."

Gladio took the que from Ignis and simply nodded at him then turned and grinned at Monica. "I have someone else I need to keep an eye on tonight." He said to her and gave her a seductive look.

Monica responded by blushed and gripping on to his arm tighter before looking back at him and giving him a kiss on the cheek.

"I suppose that means that I have to keep an eye on you in return then." She said back in the same tone.

Gladio grunted at her. "I suppose so."

You dropped your head and turned back toward Ignis as those two kept throwing flirting comments back at forth like a birdie in badmitten.

"Please tell me that we don't look like that when we talk." You asked Ignis under your breath.

"Why?" Ignis asked as he gave you a seductive voice. "Did you want to?"

Your smiled as you hummed and rolled your eyes. "Perhaps only in private."

Ignis chuckled at you then kissed you on the head. "That I can do." He seductive whispered to you.

You gave him a seductive glance before turning back towards Gladio and Monica. They still continued with their comments, as they now were facing each other with their arms around each other. Ignis slyly cleared his throat as he tried to gently get their attention. But when they ignored him, you loudly cleared your throat. They slightly paused.

"Shall we get going?" You asked as you grew tired of watching them practically gushing over each other.

"Yeah." Gladio said as he release Monica. Then he held out his arm to Monica. Monica grabbed it and gave him a huge smile.

But just as you were getting ready to walk out, the door flew open and in walked Marge.

"Wait, wait, wait." Marge said as she stood in the doorway with her arms blocking the exit. "We're not about to let any of you out of here without getting some shots first."

Both you and Ignis smiled and laughed at her enthusiasm. She truly was like a mother hen when it came to the people within the citadel walls. She then starting posing you guys for various pictures that started out with individual shots. Then it went on to included all four of you. All of you were smiling and flash blind by time they were done. But you knew that Marge and Jim had long earned that.

"Well, we better get going." Ignis said as he heard the wall clock chime.

"Oh yes." Marge said with a huge.

"Have fun kids." She called after the group as everyone walked out of the room and headed to the foyer.

"I didn't expect that." You said with a smile as you glanced back towards the hallway, as Ignis led you out the door.

"Nor did I." ignis said light-heartedly. "But it was a pleasant surprise."

"That it was." You said back as you turned your attention back to the front as you started descending the stairs.

You felt your heart flutter as you walked down the stairs of citadel. You felt a bit like a real princess now, as you held Ignis' arm as he led you to the car. You smiled to yourself and you thought that this is what a modern day cinderella might look like. Ignis saw your smile and placed his hand on yours. You did a quickly side glance as a huge smile covered you face.

You were pleasantly surprised that the car for tonight wasn't one of the usual royal cars. Instead it was a actual limo this time. So there was plenty of room for everyone in the back of the car. Plus it allowed for you to sit right next to Ignis as he held your hand. This was more than fine with you, since you were trying to ignore Gladio and Monica as they kept kissing in the back seat of the limo.

"So what's this dinner part about?" You asked as you looked at Ignis again.

"Patience darling." Ignis said as he gave you a loving look as he brought your hand up to his lips.

"I wouldn't want to ruin the surprise." He said then sensually kissed you hand once.

Then he dropped your hand as a grin slowly spread across his face.

You don't remember the rest of the ride after that, since your heart seemed to be soaring so high and so fast that you felt like you time warped to the school for the dance. When you arrived at the school you noticed that there weren't very many cars in the parking lot yet. In fact, the lot was almost empty except for a two of three of them.

"Are we sure the dance is tonight?" You asked as you looked around. "There aren't very many cars here for there to be a school dance tonight."

"That was the point of us coming early." Ignis pointed out as the limo drove around to the back of the school. "We didn't want any unwanted visitors ruining our dinner date tonight."

You shyly smiled then snuggled up to him. He smiled back at you, then he wrapped his arm around you. After a couple minutes, the limo came to a stop and the doors opened up. Gladio and Ignis slide out first, then held out their hand so that you and Monica could get out. Once you were out of the car, you once again took Ignis' arm as he led you into the school.

You felt like your head was swimming as he walked you up to the double doors as two people held the doors open so that everyone could enter. Once you entered the building, you noticed that you where in the hallway that was in between the gym and the lunchroom. Ignis led the group through the lunchroom where there were a few tables set up. But just when you were beginning to think that you were going to stay there, Ignis kept you walking as he led you to the hallway towards the classrooms.

You turned and gave him a curious look. He gave you a quick glance before turning down one of the hallways that you weren't familiar with. The hallway was quiet as all you heard was the clicking of heels and the occasional giggle coming from Monica as she walked with her arm wrapped around Gladio's arm. You glanced back and saw that Gladio was whispering in her ear as they walked. You smiled at them as you tighten your grip on Ignis' arm. Ignis put his hand on yours as he continued to walk.

After a few minutes Ignis turned into one of the classroom. You were surprised to see that the room seemed to be some type of cooking classroom. For there were several mini kitchens set-up around the outside of the room. Each of these had a stove, microwave, toaster oven, and various dishes. There were several full size refrigerators on the back wall. In the center of the room there was a table all set up for four people.

"Ah. My special guests have arrived." Said a familiar accented voice. You turned and saw Jim standing by one of the kitchens with a huge smile on his face.

You turned to Ignis, who smiled back at you. "He insisted that he had to be the one to cook for us tonight." Ignis said as he saw the question in your eyes. "So he worked it out with the Home Ec teacher."

"Aahhh. But not just any Home Ec teacher, but also one of my past students." Jim chimed in with pride. "Now, please, please. Sit down and get comfortable. We wouldn't want you late to start the dance." He said as practically shoved everyone over to the table.

Everyone was all grins as they walked over to the table. Gladio walked Monica over to a chair and help her push it in. While Ignis helped you into your seat, before they both took their own. You each sat on one end of the square table to where you had Ignis to you right, Gladio to the left and Monica across from you. Each of you were smiling as Jim went around the table and served up the drinks and salads. Jim sang a romantic little jingle as he finished putting on the final touches to the main course while everyone finished their salads

You glanced over at Monica and saw her giving Gladio a seductive look as they ate. You slightly rolled your eyes then glanced at Ignis who seemed to share your thoughts on the matter as he slightly grinned at you as he shook his head. When everyone was done with the salads, Jim removed them gracefully and replaced them with the main course in a simple smooth motion all while still singing softly as he served. You couldn't help but smile at Jim as he treated dinner as if it was one of the fanciest meals that he had ever served. Then you saw him whisper something to Ignis as he traded out his plate.

"The two corsages are in mini refrigerator for when everyone is done." Jim whispered to Ignis so that you couldn't hear him.

Ignis nodded back. "Thank you." Ignis whispered back to Jim before he turned back around.

You gave Ignis a curious look as you saw Ignis face turn serious for a moment as he nodded then he whisper back to Jim. Jim simply nodded back his return. Then he walked away with the dirty dishes as he resumed his song. You carefully watched Ignis as you tried to figure out what he was up to. But he kept his head down as he straightened out his napkin on his lap before he began resumed eating. You noticed that he seemed to be a bit nervous though as he ate.

Once everyone was finished, Jim sweep around the table again as he cleaned up all of the dinner plates. Then he replaced them with a simple slice of cake, to which Monica and Gladio fed each other. You looked down so that you didn't have to watch. They were starting to get a little too into it tonight for you right now. You were starting to feel uncomfortable around them, as you felt more and more like a peeking tom. No doubt you wanted tonight to be special, but mainly with Ignis. Not with the four of you to which two were practically making out in front of you.

Ignis looked over and saw you start to shift uncomfortably in your chair. Then he looked up at the other couple. It didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what was bother you. But it would take a bit of skill to get those two to chill long enough for him to get you comfortable again.

"Gladio." Ignis said as he tried to get his best friend's attention. "Might I have a moment." Ignis asked as he stood up.

"Yeah sure." Gladio said as he stood up after giving Monica the last bite of his cake.

Once they were far enough away, Ignis gave Gladio a stern look. "Would you mind bringing it down a notch?"

"I don't see what your getting upset about. The girls seem to be enjoying themselves." Gladio said as he looked at Monica.

"Perhaps Monica is. But (y/n) couldn't look anymore uncomfortable if she tried." Ignis said as he pointed you out to him. "So if you wouldn't mind, I would appreciate it if you would calm it down a bit."

"Not a problem Iggy." Gladio said to his friend with a sincere look. "I'll be sure to keep it under wraps. By the way, you didn't happen to get their corsages?"

"I did." Ignis smiled back at Gladio. "Jim put them in the frig for us."

"Good. I think it might be time to take this party to the dance now." Gladio said as he gave Ignis a sinister look.

"Agreed." Ignis said then they turned to Jim.

"Monica?" You quietly hiss at her.

"What?" She said to you in a dreamy kind of state.

"Would you cool it tonight?" You asked. "We are at the school after all. It's not like you can go hiding in my room again."

"Alright fine." Monica said back with a smile. "But if you don't see us for a few, just know that we'll be back when we're down."

"I didn't need to know that. For you shouldn't even be starting it here." You said as you looked away. "But whatever. Just keep an eye out, alright."

"For what?" Monica asked right as Ignis and Gladio came back to the table.

"Are we ready to head over to the dance ladies?" Gladio interrupted as he held out the corsage for Monica. She looked at it and slight screamed. Then she threw her arms around his neck and gave his a huge kiss.

So much for her calming down now. You thought as you heavily sighed as you dropped your head.

But then you watched as Ignis slowly grabbed your hand and placed a clear container on it that held your favorite flower. You silently gasped as you looked down at the beautiful corsage that Ignis had just handed you. You put your other hand up to your mouth to keep yourself from screaming and crying all at the same time. You have never been given a corsage before. Words couldn't describe the emotions that were running through your head. Except that now you knew why Monica had screamed. For your heart was screaming his name.

So finally we get to the dance only to be sweep away by a surprise dinner after being wooed with gifts that you weren't expecting. All seems to be going well so far.
