Chapter 44 - Dress Shopping

AFTER a relaxing breakfast in the garden, everyone gathered in the foyer as they waited for the cars to come around. Everyone was talking to their parent or guardian before departing. King Regis was talking to Noctis, Ignis with Korn, Gladio with Ciarus Amcitia (who was also King Regis' Sworn Shield and childhood friend), and Monica was chatting with Jared. This had you feeling a bit left out as you stood off to the side as they all talked.

"You alright?" You heard a familiar voice said off to your side.

You looked up and saw Nyx walking up to you.

"Hey?" You looked up and smiled. "I didn't know that you were escorting us today."

Nyx smiled as he glanced down as he stopped by you. "I wasn't suppose to. But a friend asked me to do him a favor." Nyx said as he recalled how Libertus had asked him to take Crowe's place so that he could take her out for the day.

"That was very nice of you." You commented back as you watched him get slightly flustered as he nervously shifted his feet.

"No. What will be nice is if you behave today." Nyx said as he looked you straight in the eye.

You were taken back by his words. "Like I asked for us to be attacked last time." You said shortly then looked down. "I didn't ask for any of this."

Nyx rubbed your head as if he was trying to shake you out of your gloom. "No one would have asked for that." He said with a calm voice as he dropped his hand again. "But not to worry. We're within the city walls this time. They can't just fly in like last time."

"Yeah." You quietly said as you dropped your head back down as you recalled seeing the imperial ship coming over the hill right before you were thrown into the backseat of the car.

"Can you not upset the girl before they leave Nyx?" You heard a gruff voice say as someone came walking up to you. You looked up and saw an older, stronger, and much broader version of Gladiolus walking up to you.

Clarus Amicitia - King Regis' Sworn Shield

You gulped as he gave Nyx a stern look. He definitely looked like someone you didn't dare mess with. You quickly looked away for fear that he would direct that look at you. That was the last thing that you wanted right now. One glance from him could crush anyone.

"I'm just laying down some ground rules is all." Nyx said back without missing a beat. "Relax Clarus. It's not like your going or anything. Besides, I think you scare her more than I do."

Clarus growled at Nyx then walked away. You felt your heart racing as he walked past you as he went over to talk to King Regis. You concluded at that point to never cross Gladio's dad, whether by words or swords. You didn't think that you would survive either.

"Don't mind him." Nyx said as he rolled his shoulders back as he clasped his hands behind his back. "He's always like that."

"I can see why Galdio is so serious all the time now." You commented as you glanced over at Gladio as he was talking with Monica and Jared now.

Within a few minutes, the cars pulled up and everyone was making their way down the stairs. Due to the number of people going, which now included guards, it was going to take two cars to get there. Gladio, Monica, Nyx, Tredd, and Pelna were in the first car. Noctis, Ignis, Axis, Louche and yourself were in the second car. You nervously got in the car after everyone else was in. You couldn't help but remember that last time that you had climb into one of these cars with this many people. That car was attacked by the empire as it was stabbed through the center by a magitek soldier

"You alright?" Noctis asked as he saw you hesitate before climbing in.

"Yeah." You nervously said as you climbed to the center. "I'm alright."

Once you settled in your seat and had your seatbelt on, Ignis smiled over at you and placed his hand on yours as he tried to calm you down. "You can relax today. We're just going shopping."

"Speak for yourself." Noctis said from your other side. "I'm just here for the games and food."

You both smirked at him as you shook your heads. The rest of the ride was filled with small talk about which stores you wanted to visit and how the group would be split up so that the guys could look at tuxedos while you and Monica checked out the dresses. You hated the idea of shopping without them. But then again it wouldn't be a surprise to each other if you both knew what you were going to look like. Doing it this way, the only hint that would be shared between you would be the color swatch from your dress so that he could match you.

After a while, both cars pulled up and stopped in front of the mall's main entrance. Everyone had to wait in the car until the Glaives were sure the area was secure. Then they opened the back doors so that everyone could get out. Since it was early sunday morning, there wasn't anyone there just yet. King Regis had asked for the shop owners of the two stores to open up a few minutes early so that everyone could shop for their outfits and not be disturbed by the crowds and paparize that usually showed up while they were out.

Everyone walked in the doors that were already open to the general public anyway. Once everyone was inside, the cars pulled away from the front door. As you entered the mall, you were surprised at how quiet the mall was without all of the shoppers busily walking about with their many treasures from the stores. You could hear the echo of everyone's footsteps on the hard floors as you made your way to the stores. Lucky for everyone, the tuxedo shop and dress shop were right next door to each other. Then across the way was the shoe shop and a jeweler.

After the guards secured the shops and set up watch by the front doors, the group split into two parties. Noctis, Ignis, and Gladio went into the tuxedo shop while Axis and Louche stood watch. You and Monica went into the dress shop as well as Nyx, while Tredd and Pelna stood watch by the door. The arrangement seemed a bit lopsided. But it was Nyx that explained that it was suppose to Crowe, who was a female, that was supposed to be there and not him.

"Are you sure that your comfortable with this?" Monica asked Nyx with a teasing voice. "Your about to be surrounded by frilly dresses and lace?"

Nyx just rolled his eyes as he stood towards the back.

"Just get on with it." He stated as if he was trying to hide his embarrassment.

You and Monica both looked at each other and smiled. Then you walked over to the dress racks and started going through them as you tried to find the perfect dress. You pulled out all kinds of dresses and so did Monica. Then you each took turns showing off each dress as you tried them on and paraded in front of the changing room.

 You gave each other thumbs down or just giggled at some of them for how silly they looked. You even started asking Nyx for his opinion on them as the show went on. He would either shake his head or would cover his eyes. This just made you want to try on more as you and Monica were having fun with each style and design.

You were looking for a certain kind of dress though. For you wanted one that would not only look good on you.  But would complement Ignis as well. You didn't want to get a color or style that would clash with his smooth, mature stature. But you also wanted it to be fun and loose so that you could move. You hated dresses that were so skin tight that you couldn't breath.

So after many dresses and a funny showcase that you and Monica had performed for each other, you finally found the right one. The style was simple, but fun with it's soft velvet top and lacey skirt. Even Nyx couldn't turn it down as he watched you spin around in it as you long (h/c) hair swayed behind you before laying softly across your back. All you needed now was a pair of black high heels and a black or navy blue choker with matching earrings and you would be all set.

Right as you were getting the approving smiles and nods from Nyx and Monica you saw movement out of the corner of your eye.

"Wow." You heard Gladio say as he walked in and over towards you. "I just came over to get the swatches so that we could get the right colors. I didn't expect to see you like that."

"Don't you dare tell Ignis." You sternly said to him.

"I don't think that I could properly describe it if I tried." He said as he looked you up and down.

"Does it look bad?" You asked as you quickly started looking at yourself in the mirror again.

"No." He said in a low grumble. "Not at all. In fact it's the exactly opposite."

You paused and looked straight at him again as he stared in wonder at you. "He is going to be blown away."

"You think?" You asked as you looked down and started smoothing out the skirt.

"Oh yeah." Gladio almost growled at you as he started to get that look of seduction in his eye.

"Hey!" Monica said as she tossed a pillow at him.

Gladio slightly laughed as the pillow harmlessly bounced off of him.

"What about me?" You heard her say as you turned and looked at yourself again in the mirror and smiled.

Shortly after that you were handing Gladio the two swatches that they would need for their tuxedos. He had your blue velvet swatch and a beautiful red one from Monica's dress. Her's was a red satin, off the shoulder, floor-length dress with a slit up on side. Gladio raised one eyebrow at Monica as he felt the soft fabric in his fingers. She gave him a wicked smile back before he turned away without saying a word. You simply rolled your eyes at the two of them as you had the store clerk boxed up both dresses. Nyx then stepped forward and paid for the purchase.

"Here you go ladies." Nyx commented as he handed you each your dress. "Compliments of the Kingsglaives."

You gave Nyx a curious look as you took the dress from him. "The Kingsglavies? I thought that Korn or Ignis was covering this?"

"Consider this a gift from us." Nyx said as he smiled at you. "I know Lynn would want you to look good for your first dance.  And Monica has always been like a kid sister us"

You dropped your eyes as you fought to keep the tears back.

 "Thank you." You said under your breath. Then you looked back up at him through blurry eyes. "Thank you so much."

While Ignis and Gladio were waiting for the tailors to find them matching vests and ties to go along with your dresses, you and Monica went across the way to get your shoes. After trying on a few pair, you decided on a pair of black heels that were closed toed and had a single buckle strap that wrapped around your ankle to secure the shoe in place. They were comfortable enough to walk around in, and were light enough to not restrict your movement. Perfect for dancing all night. (Now all you needed was to learn how to dance.)

After you walked out of the shoe store, you saw Noctis and Gladio sitting on the bench outside of the shoe store. You smiled at them as you walked over. Then you glanced around, but you didn't see Ignis anywhere. But you did notice that there were finally other people starting to walk around the mall now. This made you feel a bit more at ease, but still a little nervous.

"Where's Ignis?" You asked as you stopped in front of Noctis.

"He's in there." Noctis said as he nodded towards the jewelry store.

You turned around and saw Ignis talking to the gentleman behind the counter.

"Why is he in there?" You asked as you watched him for a few moments.

"He said something about a surprise for his uncle, or from his uncle, or something like that." Noctis said with a slight smile.

You quickly turned back around and stared at Noctis' devilish grin. You could tell he knew exactly what it was about, but he wasn't about to tell you. You rolled your eyes with an exasperated sigh before meeting his eyes again.

"Fine. You can both keep your secrets." You teased back to Noctis, who just grinned back.

This didn't help out your sky rocketing curiosity as to what he was buying in there. You felt your heart race as you privately hoped that it was for you. But then brushed it off as that he could honestly be picking up something for his uncle, like a watch repair or something. It would be extremely flattering to get something from him like a necklace, but it was very selfish to think that as well. So you put the thought out of your head. Then after a few moments, Ignis rejoined the group by the bench.

"All set?" Noctis asked Ignis as he came up."

"Indeed. Thank you for waiting." Ignis said in calm voice to Noctis as if he had just done a normal errand.

"Now can we get something to eat?" Noctis asked the group. "I've starving to death."

"It is about that time." Ignis concluded.

"Is everyone else hungry as well?" Ignis asked the group.

To which everyone nodded and stood back up.

"Let's go." Noctis said as he got up and started leading the way to the food court.

Once you reached the food court, everyone got in line for food while the guards kept an eye out. Noctis and Gladio had decided to grab food from the burger place while Monica, Ignis and yourself decided to grab food at the sub shop. Nyx was keeping an eye on the crowd as more and more people were now starting to enter the food court. He hadn't noticed anything odd until he saw a gentleman sitting off in the corner by himself. He looked casual enough, if it wasn't for the fact that he was holding a newspaper upside down in front of himself.

"Hey Pelna?" Nyx said into his head set.

"Yeah? What's up?" Pelna's voice came out of the head set.

"You mind checking out the guy in the back with the newspaper." Nyx said as he slowly started glancing around again, so as not to draw attention to the fact that he had noticed the guy.

"Yeah he does look a bit familiar. I think I saw him outside of the stores a while ago to. Do yo think that he's following us?"

"Well it's either that or he has a skill for reading upside down in areas that we just happen to be in." Nyx sarcastically said as he continued to look around and scan the crowd.

Nyx heard Pelna chuckle in his ear. "Right. I'll check it out."

Nyx then dropped his hand and continued to look around as he scanned each face and each person as they came in. He watched out of the corner of his eye as the group found a place to sit and sat down to eat their food. He was slightly glad that everyone was in the same area now. It made it easier to keep an eye on everything. Then he noticed a commotion in the back and glanced back to see Pelna talking with the guy with the newspaper.

"I didn't do anything!" The guy started shouting as he stood up which got everyone's attention.

Nyx rolled his eyes.

Nice Pelna. That wasn't quite what I had in mind. He thought as sighed.

But then he happen to notice someone quickly moving towards your table from the opposite direction.

"Axis! Beside you!" Nyx shouted at Axis who was standing near the table watching the commotion on the other side of the room.

Axis quickly looked around as he tried to see what Nyx was talking about. That was when he noticed a skinny guy quickly walking over to the table with something in his hand. Axis quickly raced over to him and tackled him to the ground. The whole room stopped and stared while everyone at the table quickly got up and stood by the table. Nyx quickly made his way over to the table.

"Grab your things, it's time to go." He quickly said to everyone as he glanced around.

No one hesitated as they grabbed their packages while leaving their food. Then they quickly moving towards the exit. The whole room seemed to follow suite as they quickly go up and started exiting the area. The commotion was almost too much as everyone was being crushed as they rushed to the doors so they didn't get lost in the crowd that was also heading to the door.

"Meet us outside the food court, now!" Nyx shouted in his headset.

"We have to get them out of here." Nyx said as he pushed everyone towards the door.

You felt your heart in your throat as everyone rushed out the door and to the car that came flying over the curb and up to the door. Once it stopped, the car doors flew open and everyone piled inside except for the glaives who stood outside the car until everyone was inside. Then the car pulled off, leaving the rest for the glaives to handle it. The last thing you saw outside the window were people running out the mall doors as they raced to the parking lot.

The car was quiet for the most part as Tredd quickly navigated the car away from the mall.  Once Tredd was sure that they weren't being followed he slowed down as he headed back to the citadel.

"There's never a dull moment with your guys is there?" He teasingly said as he glanced in the rearview mirror as he tried to lighten the mood.

But he sighed when no one responded back.

"Look, it's not any of your faults. We'll find out what happened and everything will be alright." Tredd said in a calm voice as he tried to get them to talk.

"It's never going to be alright." You quietly said as you looked down at your crushed box that held your dress.

Then out of frustration you shoved the box on the floor. Then you brought your legs up to your chest and turned towards the door that you were sitting by. You tightly wrapped your arms around your legs as you tried to control your emotions as they started shaking your body to the core.

Everyone slightly jumped from the motion, but didn't say a word as they understood the frustration.

No one said a word the rest of the trip back to the citadel as everyone was lost in their own thoughts. The only sound was the radio as the car drove through the city. It seemed that no matter what, you were always going to have to duck or run for cover. It didn't seem like it was going to stop until they had what they wanted, which seemed to be you and Noctis at the moment.

~~~~~~~~~~0~~~~~~~~~~
After arriving back at the citadel to a flurry of worried adults, you quietly went back to your room to just sit on your balcony. You had been able to escape the million questions session, as the adults seemed to immediately talk to their charge. Well this made it easy for you to walk past them and head to your room since there wasn't anyone there for you like that. Sure they were concerned, but their first priority, as it should be, was their own. Not someone who was basically thrown at them.
You were jarred out of your thoughts as you felt a soft head butt from Snowball as she tried to get your attention as you sat with your feet hanging off of the ledge. You looked over at her sweet face. She meowed at you then head butted your arm again. You slightly smiled as you tried to keep the tears down again as you started to pet her.
"It looks like our old life is officially gone Snowball." You quietly told her as you ran your hand over her soft fur.
"We can't even go shopping without something happening now. It's almost like we're trapped within these walls." You said as you looked out of over the garden. "I suppose I should get use to only seeing this as the outside world."
"I wouldn't say that your trapped." You heard a sweet accented voice say from the doorway. "We just have to be smart about how we do things is all."
You glanced over and saw Ignis leaning against the door jam with his arms crossed against his chest. He looked relaxed, but you could see the concern in his eyes. You knew his intentions were to calm you down. But it was started to become too much. What with constantly looking over the shoulder and always having to be on guard.
"How do you guys do it?" You asked as you stared right into his emerald eyes.
"Pardon?" He asked with a curious look.
"How do you guys handle doing this every time. How do you handle having to quickly race off like that without batting an eye?" You asked as you carefully watched his expression.
"Well," he began, "I suppose we have just gotten use to it over time. It's not unusual to have to dash out or escape from an area in the blink of an eye."
You dropped your gaze and turned back around to look out at the garden again. "I don't think that I can get use to this. I hate living in fear like this. I can't go anywhere or do anything without something happening."
"I'm not going to lie, it's usually not this lively." Ignis said as he came over to you and sat down beside you on the edge of the balcony.
"But this will soon pass." Ignis said as he put his feet over the edge. "They usually tend to lay off for a while after getting a few shots."
You quickly turned and gave him a curious look, "What's that suppose to mean?"
Ignis did a slight laughed as he looked down. "Well the glaives figured out who was responsible for the commotion today."
"Really?" You said with surprise. "That was fast. So then who was it?"
Ignis looked over at you with a smile. "It was a couple of kids who were just trying to get a few pictures of Noctis. 'The Prince of Lucis out in town.' Apparently they work for their school newspaper and were looking for a story when they just happen to spot us at the tailors."
You dropped your gaze as you fought a slight giggle. "Well they got their story alright."
Ignis smiled back at you. "Indeed they did."
And with that, Ignis stood back up. "I have to run back to the condo for a few. Are you going to be alright on your own for a bit?"
"You act like I can't take care of myself." You said as you looked at him with a jokingly hurt look.
"Now you know that's not what I mean." He said as he glanced back down at you.
Then he paused as he searched your face. "Perhaps you would like to join me?"
Your felt like your head was going to explode as you thought about seeing Ignis' home. You never thought that he was going to offer you this chance. For this would be your chance to see how he truly lives and if he is as neat as you thought. Besides, sitting here wasn't doing you any good. You needed a distraction. So why not.
"Sure. I would love to see your home." You said with a smile.
"Then come on. Tredd's waiting outside already." Ignis said as he held out his hand to you.
You gave him a big grin then spun your legs around and grabbed his hand. He smiled back at you as he helped you up.
~~~~~~~~~~0~~~~~~~~~~

After a very short car ride, Tredd was pulling the car into the basement parking garage of a very tall residential tower that was only about two blocks away from the citadel. He pulled the car up to the elevators and stopped so that you could get out.

"Text me when your done. I'm going to go grab a bite to eat." Tredd said as you climbed out.

"Well do." Ignis said then slid out of the car.

You stood waiting for the elevator with Ignis as you watched Tredd pull away. "You know it's a bit silly to get dropped off when you're only a couple of blocks away."

"It may seem silly, but it can be necessary when you're trying to stay undetected." Ignis said right as the door opened.

"Shall we." He said as he gestured for you to enter.

You smiled back at him and entered the elevator. You stood off to the side and watched as he pressed a special key card against the number pad on the elevator. The elevator dinged, then quickly started to move as it smoothly raced to the requested floor. You curiously looked at the card as he put it back in his wallet. Then you looked at the number pad on the elevator and noticed that none of them were lit up.

"What floor do you live on?" You asked as you glanced at him. "I didn't see you hit a button."

Ignis smiled as he glanced back at you. "No you wouldn't. It's a floor that only those who have this card can get to. For my uncle owns the whole floor, and doesn't take any chances due to his line of work."

"Well that makes sense." You said as you smiled back at him.

Ignis smiled then cleared his throat as he nervously shifted his feet. Finally the elevator came to a stop. The door opened up to relieve the entryway to the condo. There were two sets of house shoes sitting by the door on the doormat. That same wall, had a slight ledge that acted like a shelf which held the shoe horn. On the wall above the ledge was a small key rack which Ignis hung his keys, before taking off his shoes and putting on his house shoes.

"Come on in." Ignis said as he went up the three short flights of stairs that led to the main living area.

You noticed along the same wall as you walked in was a hanging coat rack that held a couple coats, to include his school jacket and warm-up jacket. You smiled to yourself as you saw the coats. This was definitely his house. Not very many people went to your school but then belonged to a rec center that was almost across town. You didn't have house shoes with you, so you just took off your shoes and walking in wearing your socks.

You followed Ignis through the door that led out of the foyer. As you walked through you came to a staircase that led to an upper floor.  So you started up the stairs.  As you reached the top landing, you were instantly blown away by what you saw when you came to the main floor.

You looked around in awe as your jaw hung down to the floor. Holy shit.....no wonder why he was curious about my house. I think my whole house could fit in this room.

You slowly looked around as you were fascinated by the decor and style of the place. For everything in this house seemed to scream billion-dollar bachelor. For there wasn't a single picture of a family member or even any of the usual female touches like blankets and flowers. But as you touched the fabric on the furniture, you were pleasantly surprised to found the grey couch to be super soft, where the chairs had a soft seat, but rigged arms.

You glanced out the windows and saw the table and chairs there were set up outside by the pool for evening entertainment. It made you wonder how many times that there had actually been a dinner party held there. Korn didn't seem like the kind to party at lot. So if there was a party, if was probable a business affair and not a pleasure event.

You glanced up at the second floor balcony and noticed the bright red couch that seemed to scream attention as it set near the railing. You had never seen a house as fancy as this one. Aside from the citadel of course. But this even gave the citadel a run for the money as far as style goes.

"Would you like a drink?" Ignis asked as he came from the kitchen area carrying two bottles of water.

"Oh." You said as quickly closed your mouth.

"Sure." You nervously took a bottle from him.

"This place is amazing." You said as glanced back around at it again.

"It sure is grand. I'll give you that." Ignis said as he took a drink.

You looked back at him and gave him a curious look. "You don't like it here?"

"Don't get me wrong. My uncle has immaculate taste when it comes this place. But to me it still lacks a few things." Ignis said as he took another drink.

"What in the world could possible be missing from this place? It looks like it has everything." You said as you gestured towards the whole room. "Hell you have a swimming pool outside that you can go into any time you want."

Ignis dropped his head for a moment as he tried to think of a way to explain what he was talking about.

Then after a few moments he raised his head. "Perhaps a tour might give you an idea of what I'm talking about."

"Ok." You smiled back at him as you tried to read his expression.

You could already tell that he wasn't mad. But he did look almost sad as he showed you around the first floor. It was almost like a distant sadness, as if he was on the outside looking in at the place.

Even as you went upstairs, he looked like he had no connect to the place  Like he was a stranger in his own home. When he had shown you around the citadel, he had been more than happy to explain each area and was a bit more chipper about it. But as you walked around his uncle's condo, he was more reserved. Even as he showed you the screaming fire engine red couch on the second floor.

(Courtesy of Pinterest)

You smiled to yourself as you touched the super soft fabric on the pillows. The fabric felt as soft as your cat with it's velvety texture.

"Oh my six, this is super soft." You commented as you slightly squeezed the pillow with your hands.

"You like that?" Ignis said as he gave you a slight smile.

"I love anything soft." You said as you rubbed the back of the couch that had the same feel to it.

"If you think that's soft. Then you have to feel my bed." Ignis commented with a slight smile.

"Really?" You stood back up and gave him mischievous smile.

"Is your room this way?" You asked.

Then you took off running into the room that was in front of the red couch.

"Hey?" He called after you as you ran giggling through the room and through the door against the wall.

Shit! Don't lay on his bed! Ignis thought as he took off after you.

He caught up with you in the room as you stood there gawking at Korn's room.

"This it Korn's room." Ignis said as he came up behind you.

(Courtesy of Pinterest)

"He needs this much space?" You said as you looked around.

Then you back the way you came and saw the door off to the left as you walk in that led to his onsuite and closet. "And he has his own bathroom?"

Ignis laughed a bit as he watched you slightly freaking out over the room. "I don't know if he really needs this much space.  But the attached bathroom does come in very handy."

You turned around and placed your hand on his chest. Then you glanced up at him and gave him a teasing look. "What? You don't like waiting for the bathroom like everyone else?"

Ignis placed his hand on yours as he glanced back down. "I wouldn't want to wait for him to get out of the bathroom. He's in there way to long."

"So then I take it you have your own as well?" You said as you gave him a slightly seductive look. "This way you can make yourself all handsome for the ladies."

"In a sense." Ignis said as he met your seductive look with his own.

"Of course there's only one lady that I'm really trying to impress." He said as he ran his fingers through your hair.

"It's Gwen isn't it?" You teased with a smirk.

"Do you have her picture up in your room so that you can talk to her?" You teased as you took a step towards the door.

"What?" Ignis said with a slight smirk as he teased back.

"I bet you do?" You teased again with big eyes as you backup and took a step closer to the door as you prepared to run for the room on the other side of the balcony. "It's right by your bed isn't it?"

"Hell no." Ignis said with a slightly offended look.

You gave Ignis one last smirk, then took off running for the other room. Ignis rolled his eyes and took off after you. He followed you to his room as you giggled while you ran through the balcony area.

You ran into the hallway that led to his room and passed what looked like a bathroom followed by the door for his closet. Then your rounded the corner and came to an abrupt stop as you came face to face with another oversize bedroom with an amazing view. You couldn't help but to be a bit jealous of his gorgeous room. Sure you had the citadel suite room right now. But that wasn't exactly yours to keep.

Than just as you turned to look out the window at the city, you heard Ignis come jogging in. You turned to face him as he came around the corner. He gave you a teasing look as he came walking up to you. You slowly moved backwards as you giggled back at him as he slowly approached.

"Well?" He said as he came closer.

"It's in the bathroom isn't it?" You teased again as you tried to side step around him.

"No." He said as moved back in front of you.

"Then why are you trying to keep me from looking?" You asked as you smirked.

"I'm trying to keep you from misbehaving." He said as he stepped in front of you again as you tried once more to get around him. "This house is not the park."

"Really?" You teased. "Are you sure? It's large enough for one."

"Well he really wouldn't like us running around." Ignis said as he started to get serious again.

"You were the one who said that it was missing something." You said back as you started walking up to him after you took off your socks and placed them on the bench at the end of his bed. "I think that something, is fun. This house seems to be missing all of the fun."

He paused then stood back up and gave you a serious look. "Well that's not quite what I was thinking. I was thinking that it's missing pictures."

"Pictures come from fun." You said as you stopped in front of him and placed your hand on his cheek.

"How do you figure that?" He said as he started to feel the heat from your breath.

"Because pictures are memories caught on film. But you can't catch them on film if you don't have the fun to bring the memories." You seductively said as you ran your fingers down his neck. The motion send a chill down him as his heart rate started to increase.

"Then how do you suppose we make those memories?" Ignis said as he dropped his head to meet yours and started to reach up to grab you waist as his hand itched to touch and feel your soft skin.

"Simple." You whispered in his ear as you dropped your hand, which stirred him to the core.

"Tag! Your it." You quickly said as you tapped him, then you dashed out the door.

******Author Note******
Please be reminded that these are young teenagers and teenagers do still like to play and tease. (Even though some of them will say that they don't. They secretly do.) So why not have the start of a scene where Ignis acts his age for once. 😊

I hope you enjoyed this chapter with the excitement of the mall and the new dress for dance. Plus, seeing the infamous condo that Korn owns. (I have no idea if it's right or not? It's just what I pictured would be his place if money wasn't an problem. Which would be the case for someone in his position.)

So be sure to come back and find out who wins the game of tag and if they can have one uneventfully night full of fun and dancing.

Thanks for reading. :)
