Chapter 41 - Personal Strangers

YOU had been laying awake in bed for what seemed like forever as you kept recalling the events that had happened several hours ago now. You still weren't one hundred percent sure exactly what or how it happened, but you had finally been able to break through your fear and finally prove that you could get out of a headlock. But you never would have, if it hadn't been for Ignis. You thought as you absently touched your neck where he had placed the kiss that had brought you through the haze. You could still hear his voice as it came to you out of the fog.

"Don't give into the fear. Give into the heat. Give into me."

You could still feel his kiss on your cheek that had brought out all of the private moments between the two of you. You kept your eyes closed as you remembered how his gentle touch always seemed to leave your skin tingling, and your heart and mind soaring to new heights each time. As you thought about how it felt, your body started to heat up in response. You quickly shook your head, now was not the time for that. You had to get some sleep.

But it seemed the longer that you laid there, the more you wanted him. You just couldn't get the feeling of him laying on you out of your head. His firm grip on your wrists as he had held them over your head, his warm breath against your neck, and his hips firmly pressed against yours as he kept you pinned to the floor. You started to feel your body longe for his touch as you felt wetness starting between you legs. You shook your head and sat up.

Damn it. You though as you struggle to calm down.

I need some air. You thought as you got out of bed and walked over to the balcony.

You opened the door wide and closed your eyes as you were welcomed by the beautiful scent of the multitude of flowers that were in full bloom. You walked out to the railing and stood there for a few minutes as you tried to think of anything other than Ignis. But with every direction you look, you were reminded of him, from the table in the garden, to Noctis' balcony that was just a couple down. You couldn't get him out of your head and you couldn't explain why. You signed as you sat down on the floor balcony. You moved up to the railing an let your feet dangle off of the edge. Then you rested your head on your arms after you laid them across the railing.

Then you closed your eyes as you tried to clear your head.  Then you felt a head bump against your side.  You looked down and saw Snowball looking back at you as she started to purr.  You smiled down at her then started to pet her soft fur.  Snowball always seemed to sense when you needed a distraction.

You sat there petting Snowball as you became lost in thought as you remembered how you use to do that at home. You would sit on your balcony for hours at night and look at the stars as you listened to the crickets in the yard. It always seemed to calm you down when you were upset or when you were missing your dad when he had to travel for work.

You dropped your eyes as you though about those days. All those times you had always thought that he was giving some type of lecture or was doing some special training. You wondered now how many of those 'trips' had been missions that he might not have returned from. How many had he lied about just to keep you safe?  Then of course it was the same with your mom. Had she really gone to visit other HR offices or attend conventions? Or had those been just a cover story to the truth that she been undercover as she was gathering information for Korn?

As these questions where flying around in your head which made you start to feel something that you hadn't before. You started to feel angry with them. You even felt hurt. You felt angry that they had hurt you.

They had always been the ones to tell you to say the truth. But as it turned out, they were the ones lying the whole time. They had lied to you, which hurt you, which now was making you furious with them. They didn't even tell you the truth about your brother. Your own brother! For six sake, he was FAMILY!!!

"Fuck you!" You shouted into the garden.

Snowball jumped at the noise and ran back into the bedroom. Then tears started to well up in your eyes as your temper and emotions were starting to get the best of you.

"Fuck both of you." You said as you felt your throat tighten up as you heart crumbled in your chest.

"I don't care if I ever see you again."  You chocked out as your shoulders shook from the sobs.

After a few moments you heard a familiar smooth voice.

"I hope that wasn't directed at me." You looked around and saw Noctis standing on his balcony with his arms crossed as he leaned up against the wall.

"No. Of course not." You said as you shook you head while looking away.

"What are you doing up?" You asked as you wiped your eyes as you tried to hide the tears.

"Well it's this crazy thing. I was sound asleep, when all of a sudden I heard shouting." He calmly said. "So I went to investigate where the noise had come from.  And I find you."

"I'm sorry." You said as you dropped your head. "I didn't mean to wake you up."

"Well you did." He said as he rolled his eyes. "Want to talk about what's bugging you?  I know it has been awhile since we have had one of our long talks. Besides, I kind of miss those phone calls."

You slightly smiled then looked back up at him. "I do to."

"Tell you what. How about I call you now, and we talk like we use to?" Noctis said as he smiled back at you.

"Now that's just silly." You said with a smirk. "Why talk on the phone when we can talk in person?"

Noctis smiled back at you, then turned around and walked back into his room. Within a few seconds you heard your phone ringing in your room. You rolled your eyes as you quickly got up and ran into your room to pick it up.

"You know that your being silly, right?" You said the minute you picked up his call.

"What's so silly about talking to my phone friend?" He said the slightly groaned.

"What are you doing?" You asked as you tried to picture what would cause him to make that noise.

"What?" He asked as you heard something shuffling through your phone. "I always talk to you while I'm in bed."

"What's the point then if you are just going to fall asleep?" You asked as you walked over and sat on the couch.

"This way the last thing that I hear before I do, is you." He said in his usual smooth voice.

You grinned as you curled up with the phone as you blushed. "You say the sweetest things sometimes."

"Sometimes?" He teasingly asked. "I say sweet things all of the time."

"Oh really?" You teased back.

"Well, perhaps only to you." He said in a quieter voice. "I don't think Gladio or Iggy would like me whispering sweet nothings in their ears."

You giggled in the phone at his comment as you pulled your feet closer to yourself. Then you pulled your blanket off of the back of the couch and used it to cover your legs.

"Now that's more like it." Noctis said.

"What?" You asked as you tucked the blanket around yourself.

"I would rather hear you giggling, then shouting." Noctis said quietly. You could tell by his tone that he was slowly starting to fall back to sleep.

"You know what." You quietly said.

"Hmmm." You heard him hum.

"I think I like hearing your voice, as much as you like hearing my giggle." You said as you curled up against the back of the couch as you felt your eyes getting heavy.

"Then perhaps we should talk every night like we use to." He said so quietly that you could barely hear his voice.

"I would like that a lot." You said as you closed your eyes as you got comfortable.

"Me to." He said.

Then it was silent for a bit.

"Noct?" You quietly asked.

"Hmmm". He hummed again.

"Thank you." You said.

"Anytime princess." He whispered to you.

~~~~~~~~~0~~~~~~~~~~
You weren't sure how long that you had actually sleep before you heard Ignis' startled voice. "(Y/n)?"
"Hmmm." You hummed, as you stirred.
"What are you doing on the couch?" Ignis asked in a concerned tone.
"Oh.  I must have fallen asleep here last night.  I'm sorry." You said as you stretched out and leaned against the back of the couch.
Ignis came around and sat on the edge of the cough beside you as he looked at your face. "Did you have trouble sleeping? I can let you sleep in a bit if you want?"
For a split second you considered his proposal. But you decided better. After all, it had only been one night after all.
"No. I'm fine." You said as you pushed yourself up into a sitting position.
"Alright then." He said as he stood back up. "But perhaps we should go a bit easier today then."
"No Ignis. Seriously, I'm fine." You said as you gave him a straight face. "I'm not going to catch-up if I can't handle the pace. We're not changing because of one night."
"As you wish." He said as he pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose.
That morning went just like the day before. But this time it entailed Ignis asking you questions about the various areas of the garden as you jogged across the smooth concrete. You had gotten most of the areas right, which was impressive considering yesterday had been the first time that you had seen any of it. Ignis had hinted as much with his slight smile.
Then after a shower and breakfast you were heading back upstairs to wake up Noctis. You thought about how the last couple of mornings had played out. You knew that taking the covers off was out. But being sweet had gotten you stuck in his bed for a bit. Not that it was a bad thing. But it had messed up your hair. You weren't quite sure what to do this time.  So you simply sighed as you once again pushed the door open.
The light from the open French doors to the balcony threw you off as you stepped inside. You had gotten use to the room being pitch black when you walked in, so seeing it in the light already was a surprise. You looked around the room and saw that the bed was empty as well.
"Noct?" You asked as you looked around but didn't see him.
Where the hell is he? You thought as you started walking around the room as you tried to find him.
First you went over to the balcony. No Noct. Then you walked closer to his bed. No Noct. Then you heard the sound of running water coming from the bathroom.
Good. He's already awake. You thought as you walked over to the bathroom door.
As you got closer you could tell that it was the shower. So you knocked on the door.
"Yeah?" You heard his shout.
"Just wanted to make sure that you were awake in there." You shouted back. "I'll meet you downstairs."
"Alright." He shouted back.
After leaving his room you went back to your room and went about straightening up everything.  Luckily it only took you a few minutes. This gave you time to go down and work on your assignment in the sitting room.  You got all set up with your books and paper on the coffee table while you sat on the floor and went to work.  After a while Ignis walked into the room and stopped when he spotted you.
"Oh, there you are."  He quietly said as he came over and sat down beside you.  "I thought that you were still upstairs trying to get Noctis up."
"Amazingly enough, he was already awake and in the shower by time I got there."  You said as you continued to write.
"Really?"  Ignis said as he gave you a surprised look.  "Well that's a first."
"Well there's always a first time for everything."  You asked as you continued to work.
He nodded.  "I suppose so."
"Do you mind if I ask you something?"  You asked as you paused for a moment.
"Not at all."  He asked as he propped up one leg and put one arm on his knee.
"How did you know that it was going to work?"  You asked without looking at him.
"What do you mean?"  He asked as he looked at you.
"How did you know that your touch would break me out like that?"  You asked as you turned and searched his face.
"To be completely honest."  Ignis began as he looked down.  "I didn't.  I just knew that you needed to think about something else other than him.  And I knew that you always responded strongly to my touch.  Just as I do to yours.  I was just hoping the whole time that it would be enough to break you out of that trance."
You reached over and placed your hand on his hand that was on the floor.
"Well thank you.  It was more than enough."  You said as you smiled at him.
He smiled as he dropped his head before looking back at you.  "I'm glad."
"Hey?"  You heard Noctis say from behind the couch.  "We ready?"
"Well look who's ready to go this morning?"  You teased as you looked at him.
"Yeah.  Yeah.  Well, don't get use to it."  He teased back.
The rest of the day went as planned with no surprises.  You even were a little more comfortable walking into the library that time.  Plus after talking with your math teacher and telling him that you were always cutting it close for you final class.  He agreed to let you leave a few minutes early each day so that you could get to your locker before you had to run down to choir.
It was amazing.  For once everything seemed to be falling into place.  You couldn't help but to be a bit more relaxed as even the practice at the pool was uneventful.  By bedtime, you felt that you were finally going to be able to handle this schedule.  The last thing that you did was call Noctis as you relaxed in bed.
"I still feel a bit silly for calling oppose to talking to you in person."  You said as you were all curled up in your bed as you talked to Noctis.
"Silly or not.  I'm quite enjoying it."  He calming said through the phone.
"Well I'm glad."  You returned.  "And for once I think that I'll be able to sleep well tonight."
"Good.  We wouldn't want you to start shouting again like last night."  Noctis said.
"No we would not."  You said as you dropped you gaze as you felt your heart drop.
"Call me if you need me.  Alright?"  Noctis said with a concerned tone.
"Alright.  Thank you."  You returned.
"Night princess."  He quietly said.
"Night sweet prince."  you said.  Then you stared at the phone for a moment before you hung it up.
~~~~~~~~~~0~~~~~~~~~~

The rest of the week seemed to fly by as each day had you busy with adjusting to your new schedule.  But by time friday arrived, you were almost comfortable with the pace.  You were surprised how well the rest of the week had gone as you sat at your desk back at the Citadel while as you finished off your assignment to Korn.  There hadn't been any interruptions or hiccups.  Even the paparazzi seemed to have back off for the time being.

Everyone even seemed to be excited about the first swim meet that would take place the next day.  In fact to help prepare for the meet, Korn had agreed to let you cook up spaghetti for dinner so that you would have enough 'fuel' for the next day.  For the swim meet was to take place at the rec center and was scheduled to start around 9am and should be completed by dinner time.

Korn had even been nice and let everyone take the night off from practice since everyone was going to be busy the next day.  This is why you had decided to finish off your assignment so that you could enjoy the rest of the weekend.

The assignment hadn't actually been that hard once you started to dig in and learn more about the enemy.  In fact you were able to find several weak points within the magitek armour that could easily incapacitate them if they are struck just right with an arrow.  This would require you to be very precious, but it could be done with a lot of target practice.  After reading the paper one last time you got up from your desk as headed to see Korn in his office.

~~~~~~~~~~0~~~~~~~~~~
"Are you sure about these points?"   Korn asked after he looked at your report.
"I have yet to test it on actual troops, but if what you showed me is truly their design, then yes."  You said as you stood in front of his desk.
"You do realize that some of these are going to prove to be quite difficult to hit."  He said as he looked at your drawing of the spots on the troops.  "Just how do you think that you are going to hit these?"
"Well sir," you began "with a lot of practice and perhaps a little bit of luck."  You said with confidence as you looked him straight in the eye.
Korn gave you a big smile then let out a loud chuckle.
"I like your spirit."  He said before getting up and walking over to you and putting his hand on your shoulder.  "Alright then.  I'll have them set up the archery range on the most secure side of the garden so that you can work on that aim of yours."
"Thank you."  You said as you gave him a big smile.
"In the meantime though.  Go rest up.  You and the boys will have a long day tomorrow."  Korn said as he walked you out of his office.
"Yes sir."  You said as you stepped into the hallway.
"Goodnight."  You said and headed back down to your room.
Korn waved back then stood there for a few minutes as he watched you walk away.
How is it that a thirteen year old girl figured out something that none of us have?  Korn thought to himself as he watched you walk around the corner as you headed for the elevator.  She truely does have your mother's intellution.  Let's just hope that she also has her father's natural fighting and strategic skills as well.
BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
You rolled over and smacked the snooze button before pulling your arm back under the nice warm covers.  The air seemed to be a bit cold this morning as you tucked your, now cold arm, back up against your chest.  The morning seemed to come much sooner than you thought it should.
For it felt like you had just fallen asleep as your alarm went off.  Although it didn't help that it was Saturday, and usually you didn't have school or anything. You were just about to fall asleep again when you heard the door open and footsteps of someone walking in.  You sighed as you tried to bury yourself under the covers.  (Now you were starting to see why Noctis did that every morning.)
You felt someone sit on the edge of the bed and place their hand behind your back on the bed. There was a shift of weight on the bed then you felt the covers being slowly moved off of your face. You shifted further down under the covers as you tried to stay hidden. You heard a sigh, then you were blasted with cold air as the covers were pulled off completely.
"I think Noctis is starting to rub off on you." You heard a smooth accented voice say.
You curled up into a ball as you tried to stay warm. Ignis watched you as you seemed to wrap yourself around him as you tried to stay warm. He smiled as he rubbed your back. You arched your back against his touch since it felt great on you sore back.
"Hmmm." You purred. "Don't stop. That feels good."
Ignis smiled at you as he ran his hand the full length of your back as you purred under his touch.
"I'm not sure if this is helping you to get up or not." Ignis said as he turned the rubbing into gentle scratching as his fingers glided up and down the cloth of your night shirt.
"Both." You said as you flattened out on your stomach on the bed.
"It seems to be the lather."  Ignis said as he stopped.
"Ahhh."  You complained.
"Come on.  We still have a few things to do before we have to head out to the pool."  Ignis said as he was starting to get up.
But you quickly reached out and grabbed his hand.  "No."  You said as you clamped down on his wrist as you pulled him back down to the bed.
"(Y/n)?"  Ignis asked with a stern tone.
You rolled back onto your side as you released his hand.  "I don't want to workout before the meet.  We'll be too tired."
"It's not a full workout.  We're just going for a light jog."  Ignis said as he reached his hand over and ran his fingers through your hair as he moved it behind your ear. His touch left your skin tingling in its wake.  "Alright?".
"Alright."  You said with a smile as you narrowed your eyes at him.
"I'll meet you in Noctis' room when your ready." Ignis said as he stood up and turned towards the door.
"Wait?" You asked as you quickly sat up. "Noct's Room?"
"Yes." Ignis answered over his shoulder as he continued towards the door.
"He will be joining us this morning." He said as he opened the door and walked out.
I wonder if Noct knows about this? He's not one for surprises when it comes to his morning routine. You thought as you climbed out of bed and changed into your gym clothes.
After you were dressed, you walked down and entered Noctis' room. He was indeed a bit upset about the workout. But when he saw that you would be joining him, he seemed to be in a more cooperative mood. In fact he almost looked excited about it.
So after stretching out in front of the citadel, everyone put in their headphones with their favorite tones, then the three of your set out for an easy jog around the citadel grounds.  But little did you know that right as you were setting out for your jog, you were being watched from one of the windows of a neighboring building.
"Sir." A male voice said into his earpiece as he held down the speaker button on the side of the head set. "I spotted the girl. It's was just like you said. She's with the prince now. It also appears that she's staying here as well.  I didn't see any cars coming or going from the citadel this morning."
"Good job soldier." Said a greasy voice. "Now I want you to follow them around and find out everything that you can. I want to know everywhere they go. There has to be a location where we can easily grab her.  We need that child as  leverage so that we can make her parents talk."
"Yes sir." The male said as he followed you with his binoculars.
After the jog, everyone get a quick shower then had a light breakfast before gathering in the foyer as you waited to depart.  You arrived in the front foyer with waters for everyone and saw that they were looking around nervously.  You smiled to yourself as you remembered you first meet.  You had been so nervous that you almost threw up before the first race.  They didn't look quite that bad, which was good.  But they were still nervous, needless to say.  You walked over and gave them each one bottle of water.
"I still don't see why we have to drink water if we are going to be in water."  Noctis said as he took the water from you.
"Because you lose water as you swim which causes you to become dehydrated.  And you can't really drink the pool water to make up for it."  You said with a smile.  "Well I suppose you could.  But I wouldn't recommend it."  You said as you gave him a disgusted look at.
"Fine."  He said as he chuckled at your response.
After a short car ride, the three of you were got out of the car and entered through the back entrance of the recreation center.  The front entrance was already packed full of people, which made it impossible to even consider going through there.  Besides, it was easier to secure the back entrance since they could easily restrict the access to the back door.  You felt weird though as you walked in the back door like this.  But it was the only way to keep the prince safe. What with the paparazzi all over the place.
Once everyone was inside, they quickly escorted Noctis and Ignis into the boys locker room while you were able to break away from them and slip into the girls locker room.  Once you were inside you were greeted by the other team members.
You simply nodded to them as you quietly walked over to one of the lockers and changed into your swimsuit and warm up suit.  You simply listened to the others as they nervously talked among themselves.
"Can you believe the crowd?"  One of the girls was saying.
"I know.  I've never seen so many people show up for a regular swim meet before."  Another girl was saying.  "It's usually only at the finals that we get a crowd like this."
"Hey (y/n)?"  One of the older girls called to you before they sat down on the bench beside you.  "I didn't see you come in.  Is everything alright?"
You smiled as you looked up to meet her brown eyes and long dark brown hair as it fell over her shoulders and onto her warm up suit.  She went by Nicole and was the only one who really talked to you.  You had known her for years through the swim team and had been friends when you were younger.  But after your parents bought the house in a different part of Insomnia, you had kind of lost touch since you weren't right next door to each other anymore.  The most time that you got to spend with each other was during the swim season.
"Yeah."  You responded back with a smile as you pulled on your jacket.  "You know.  Just nervous."
"Yeah, I hear you."  She responded as she crossed her legs.  "My parents were looking for your parents, but they couldn't seem to find them.  Are they here today?"
You felt your heart stop at her words.
That's right.  Our families usually sit with each other at all of the meets. You thought as you took a deep breath.
You dropped your head as you pictured her parents scanning the crowd for a couple that was nowhere to be seen.  You felt your heart start to break as you were reminded that they wouldn't be there to cheer you on, either.
"No.  They couldn't make it today."  You said as you kept your eyes down.
You couldn't tell her the truth.  Not that she would believe you anyway.  You barely believed the truth and you had been living.
"Oh."  She said as placed a hand on your arm.
"Well I guess then I'll have to cheer extra loud for you then."  She said with a smile.
You half smiled at her.
"Thank you Nicole."  You said.
Then you both hugged each other.
"Now come on.  Let's go show the boys how it's done."  She said as she smiled at you.
You smiled back as you nodded your head.  Then you grabbed your towel, goggles, and swim cap then followed her out to the pool deck.
The meet started like any other does.  Both teams were able to warm up for about an hour while they were getting everything finalized for the meet.  Then once everything was done, both teams were introduced and the coaches all shook hands after the national anthem was played.  Then each team took one side of the pool so that the swimmers would be ready for their heat.  The races all started off with the youngest swimmers leading off for each stroke since they only had to do 25 yards.  Then it proceed with the next higher age group all racing with swimmers with similar race times.  Then it would move on to the age group ranked by time until it finished off with the high school students.  Then once all of the individual strokes were done, then the dive team would go while the rest of the team rested up for the team relay races that would take place once they were done.
For this meet it had been decided that the three of you would all do the freestyle races since boys and girls all raced separate so that the races would be fair.  Then Noctis would race the breaststroke since this seemed to be his strongest stroke.  Ignis would race the backstroke as his second race.  You on the other hand would race all of the strokes since you were one of the most seasoned team members.  You didn't mind though since it kept you busy and you did love to race against the other girls.
You sat with Noctis and Ignis off to the side as you waited for your heat when Nicole quietly came up to the group.  She sheepishly looked down as she approached the group.  You looked up and saw how nervous she was.  You shook your head as you reminded yourself that not everyone knew Noctis like you did.
"Hey Nicole."  You said as you tried to get her attention.  "Did you need something?"
"I ...um."  She nervously said as she nervously shift from one foot to the other.
"It's ok.  They don't bite."  You teased as you looked at Noctis and Ignis.
"Noctis, Ignis, this is Nicole."  You said as you introduced her to them.  "She's been on the team for as long as I have."
"Nicole, this is Ignis.  He's Prince Noctis' Royal Retainer and friend.  And this is Prince Noctis himself."  You said as you introduced Nicole to Noctis and Ignis.  Nicole looked a bit starstruck as she looked at Noctis.
"It's a pleasure to meet you your highness."  She said as she did a clumsy curtsy.
"Here too."  Noctis returned before he leaned back against the wall as if he was bored.
Ignis gave Noctis a stern side glance.  Then he looked back at Nicole.  "It's very nice to meet you Nicole."  Ignis said as he watched her reaction.
"Would you care to join us?"  Ignis asked as he saw her nervousness as well.
She nodded at Ignis but never took her eyes off of Noctis.  You had never seen her act like this before and it was making you nervous.
"Nicole?"  You asked as you tried to get her attention.  "Nicole!"  You almost shouted.  She jumped and finally looked at you.  "Are you alright?"
"Ye...yeah.  Yeah!  I'm fine."  She stuttered as she nervous sat down beside you.
She kept nervously glancing over at Noctis as she clasped her hands in her lap.
"He doesn't bite you know." You said as you leaned over and whispered in her ear. "But you are kind of freaking him out by staring at him like that."
"I'm sorry." She said shyly as she dropped her eyes. "I've just never been this close to someone famous before."
"Well if you keep looking at him like that, it will be the last time." You whispered to her as she kept staring at Noctis.
Nicole looked back up at you with a terrified look. "What's that supposed to mean?"
"Well it's a bit creepy. So just be yourself. He a normal guy when you give him a chance." You said as you sat back.
"So how do you know (y/n) again?" Ignis asked as he tried to break the awkward conversation.
"We use to be neighbors." She quietly said as she barely looked at Ignis. "But after her family moved we have only seen each other here during the swim season."
"Oh." Ignis said as he looked at you. "That does explain why you come to this rec center oppose to the one that's closer to your house."
You simply nodded. "My parents knew that I was comfortable with this place.  So we have just stayed with them."
"So you've been doing this awhile too?" Noctis asked as he glanced over at the group.
Nicole blushed as she looked down. "Yeah. It seems like ever since I was born I have always been around the water."  She shyly responded without looking at him. "But I didn't start competing until I turned five."
"So both of you have been doing this since you were five?"  Ignis asked.
Both you and Nicole nodded back at Ignis.
"Impressive." Ignis said with a smile.
Just then Coach Beth came up to the group. "Come on girls, it's almost time for your first heat. You can get warmed up in the adjacent pool."
"Got it." You replied and stood up with Nicole. "We'll be back." You replied over your shoulder as you walked away with Nicole.
"Are they always so quiet?" Nicole whispered to you.
"Only with someone new." You smiled back as you walked to the dive tank pool.
Ignis watched you walk away and gave Nicole a curious look. "Noct."
"Yeah." He replied while watching the current race going on in the pool.
"Doesn't it seem strange that now all of a sudden Nicole wants to sit with us?" Ignis said as he sat back against the wall beside Noctis. "She hasn't even so much as said hi until now."
"I wouldn't look to much into." Noctis replied. "A lot of people are a bit nervous to say anything to us right now."
"Perhaps." Ignis said as he watched you and Nicole dive into the water at the dive tank as you started to get use to the water before you had to race.
******Author Note******
Sometimes is hard to determine what someone's true intentions are until it's too late. Of course there are those times when you wish that you never learned the truth.
Well I hope that you enjoyed this chapter. It should start to pick up again after this chapter. I just needed to get the last few players in place before I could have us move forward. But now that we have everyone, it's time to go.
Please be sure to come back and find out what's up with Nicole. And who the hell was watching from the window.
Thanks for reading. :)
