The ground shook as the air ships thundered over head. But you didn't need to look up to know where they were heading. You already knew. They were heading for the altar. Just like you.

You had to get back to the altar. Luna needed you. You were supposed to be there the whole time. But the imperial army had made damn sure that it wasn't going to be easy to escape them again and get back to her. But you had made her a promise. And you weren't about to break it.

But as you looked around you realized that you were still in Ignis' room, naked, and sitting up in his bed. Ignis slowly sat up and nervously slid his hand along your back. You looked at him and saw the confusion and concern on his face. Your heart was practically beating out of your chest as you sat there panting with a thin layer of sweat covering you.

Ignis moved up against you when he realized that you weren't going to freak out on him. Then he pulled you into his arms and held you close to his bare chest. You closed your eyes for a moment as you slightly turned towards him and placed your head and hand on his bare chest. You listened and felt his slightly increased breathing and heart slowly coming back down. He must have been startled himself when you jolted up like that.

"It's alright. It was just a dream." Ignis quietly said as he started to slowly stroke your hair. "And I can assure you that Noctis is safe and sound, back at the Citadel."

Oh Ignis. If only you knew. You thought as you slowly opened your eyes.

"Did you want to talk about it?" Ignis asked as he slowly lifted up your chin so that he could see you in the faint moonlight that was shining in through his bedroom windows.

You gave him a slight smile and shook your head as you looked into his dark eyes. "It's nothing. Just a nightmare."

"Talking about it can help you know." He replied as he moved your hair behind your ear.

But I can't tell you. Not yet anyway. "I know. But it's alright." You said as you leaned up and gave him a gentle kiss. At least.....not until I figure them all out. And not until I know how I can save them both.

"Then perhaps I can take your mind off of it then." He said as a flash of heat flew across his eyes.

Ignis then gently kissed you back as he wrapped his hand around your chin. You placed your hand on his and kissed him again with more force. He answered back with the same as he slipped his tongue into your mouth. You deeply exhaled and tightened up your grip on his hand as he started to passionately kiss you.

You then released his hand as he moved it from your face and reached around to your back as he turned towards you. Then he slowly laid you back on the bed with him on top of you. And that was when you heard the faint sound of a piano playing. You quickly got up and grabbed the blanket from the foot of the bed and wrapped it around yourself before you headed out of his room to see if that was him playing. And as you came out of the outer doorway to his room, you smiled as you saw him sitting in front of the piano in only his sleeper pants. He was playing the song that he had played during the Christmas concert.

You instantly lost your breath as you slowly started walking towards him as he played with the same raw emotion that he had that night on stage in front of a crowd of eager viewers. At a distance it looked like he was just simply enjoying the song. But as you got closer, you could see the tension in him as his arms tensed up. And his jaw was set as if he was fighting back his emotions. You took a deep breath as you tried to contain yourself before he noticed you. The last thing you wanted was to interrupt him.

But after you crossed the walkway that separated the second floor, Ignis glanced up at you. He gave you a slight smile as he continued to play. You gave him a slight smile back as you continued over to him. You couldn't help but to relax a bit.

Or at least he didn't appear to be as much anymore. In fact he seemed to calm down a bit as you walked over and sat down on the couch and watched him. You curled up in the blanket as he turned his attention back to the piano. Then he was once again totally absorbed in the song as his fingers flew across the keys with each powerful note before slowly coming back down again.

Each wave he played was just as raw and as powerful as the last. And you could see it on his face as he played each stanza. With each crescendo the piano belted out the notes as he practically pounded on the keys. Only to slowly decrescendo as the verse went on, then back again.

Your heart was racing as you watched him play. You had forgotten how powerful he could make every note sound as it vibrated out of the piano. Even the very walls of the condo seemed to come alive as the sound bounced around the room. You tightened up your grip on your legs as you hugged them in front of you. Ignis didn't look up at you at first. But instead he sat there for a moment before he slowly and carefully covered back up the keys. Then he looked over at you as you sat there on the couch. You gave him a warm smile as you shifted on the couch, causing part of the blanket to fall off of your shoulder. He then cocked his head to the side as he gave you a curious look as the fallen blanket revealed your naked shoulder.

"Are you dressed?" He quietly asked as he stared at you as you sat there curled up on the couch.

"Ummmm." You said as you nervously tightened up your grip on your legs.

"You mean to tell me that you came out here in only a blanket?" He asked as he stood up and walked over to the couch.

"I was worried about you." You quietly said as you felt your cheeks starting to heat up as you tilted your head at him. "So I came looking for you."

"And you didn't think to get dressed first?" He quietly asked as he stopped in front of you.

"That.." You started to say as you dropped your head. "..would have taken too long. So I just grabbed your blanket off of your bed."

Ignis couldn't help but to slightly smile as he pictured your naked body under the blanket. And as he started to get lost in thoughts that all ended up with the two of you once again back in his bed. He reached down and quickly picked you up in his arms. You slightly jumped and wrapped your arms around his neck as he lifted you and the blanket, up and off of the couch, which caused the blanket to fall off of your shoulder completely.

"How about a shower before we have breakfast?" He said with a heated tone as he looked at your shoulder and now fully exposed breast as well.

You quickly grabbed the blanket and pulled it back over your shoulder as your cheeks turned bright red. But then as you looked up at Ignis, you saw nothing but fire coming from his eyes as he smiled at you. Oh yeah, this shower was going to be the standard, hot, sexy, and oh so pleasurable shower that was going to leave both of you out of breath again.

"I can't wait." You said as you gave him a heated look back.

You silently prayed that they would still be the same when he got back. Because you could never get enough of him in the water like that. Although it did make you wonder what it would be like in his pool or your hot tub. Cool and soothing, or hot and bubbly. Both ideas made you shiver just thinking about them.

"Are you okay?" Ignis asked as he looked back at you. "Your not sore or anything are you?"

Your slightly rolled your eyes as you smirked at him as you felt a dull pain starting deep inside you. "Perhaps a bit."

Ignis gave you a concerned look. You smiled back at him and placed your hand on his cheek.

"But I like being sore like this." You said back as you gave him a heated look. "Especially since it's because of you."

Ignis smirked as he pressed you hard against the wall. "And how am I suppose to resist you after that?"

"Your not." You said as you wrapped your arms around his neck.

"Hmmm." He said as he leaned in and gave you a kiss before he looked back into your eyes again. "I suppose your right. But perhaps we should eat some breakfast. Then we can head over to the citadel to see Noctis. He might be crushed if we spend all day here without him."

"Okay." You smiled back as he pulled out and placed your legs back on the floor.

After getting dressed and a quick breakfast, the two of you headed over to the citadel. You couldn't help but to grin as Ignis pulled up to the front stairs of the citadel in his car. Because the look on Jeff's face was truly priceless. You had never seen a grin stretch that far that quickly just from looking at a car before.

But as you looked at Ignis, you could see that he didn't share in his enthusiasm. Because he was giving Jeff a firm look as he quickly came around to Ignis' door and opened it up for him. Ignis didn't seem amused as Jeff grinned at him as he gestured for Ignis to step out. You couldn't help the slight smirk as you opened up you door and started to get out.

"Stop (y/n)." Ignis said in a firm tone as he reached over and grabbed your wrist. "Let our 'valet' open it up for you. That is his job after all."

"It's okay." You said as you placed one foot on the ground as you reached down and grabbed your purse. "I think I can handle a simple door."

Ignis slightly tightened up his grip on your wrist and held you fast. "I insist love."

You stopped and looked at Ignis as he was giving Jeff and tense look. Jeff didn't seem to care though as he simply bowed down to Ignis as he placed one hand on his heart.

"I can assure you that I will take proper care of your car this time." Jeff said in a smooth, steady voice.

This time? You thought as you looked at the two of them.

Finally you shook your head as you pulled your wrist away from Ignis. "Come on. Let's go inside. Noctis is waiting on us."

"Wait..." Ignis started to say as he looked over at you as he tried to grab your hand again as you got out of the car.

But he just missed your fingers as you stepped out of the car. All he could do was sigh as you closed the door and stood outside of the car. And even then as he looked at you, he felt torn as you stood there for a moment before you turned and started to head up the stairs. He knew that he shouldn't be worried about a car like he was. But after Jeff had almost slammed it into one of the walls in the parking garage the last he drove it. Ignis wasn't exactly comfortable with handing him the keys again.

"Would you like to park it yourself and I'll walk her inside for you?" Jeff asked with a smirk.

Ignis quickly looked back at Jeff and gave him a warning glare. Jeff simply answered with a knowing smirk. Ignis took a deep breath before he reluctantly climbed out of the car. Jeff stood back up to his full height as he kept his eyes on Ignis'. Which didn't really help out his height since Ignis was about 2 inches taller than him.

But with a smile, and before Ignis could say a single word to him. Jeff had quickly slipped into the driver's seat and was closing the door. Then with a quick chirp of the tires, Jeff was off and gone with Ignis' car. All Ignis could do was watch as his car disappear through the big bay doors and into the depths of the parking garage.

Ignis then angerly turned towards the stairs and started after you. By time you had reached the first platform, you heard Ignis quickly approaching you. You turned around and smiled back at Ignis as he came running up to you. He smiled back as he reached the platform. Then he reached over and grabbed your hand and the two of you continued up the stairs.

When you found Noctis, he was already up and playing his racing games. He didn't look much like a prince as he was lounging on his couch in only his pajama pants. But you didn't mind. Ignis on the other hand was a bit discouraged as he tried to get him to put on a shirt at least. Which almost ended in a fight if you hadn't gotten up and grabbed him one of his t-shirt from his wardrobe.

This was quickly forgotten though, once you challenged Noctis to a race. Which he gladly accepted. Ignis couldn't help but smile as he watched the two of you racing for the next couple of hours. He knew that he was going to miss both of you. But he did at least know that both of you would have each other to keep company in his absence.

After lunch, the three of you decided to hit the gym for a bit. The idea was for you to work on your blocks one more time with Ignis. And so that Ignis could show Noctis how to do them with you, so that the two of you could continue in his absence. The idea was simple enough. But it was different once you hit the mat.

First you and Ignis ran through them without too many issues. Well with the exception of the headlock maneuver. You kept blocking him before he got any where near your neck. Which made Ignis very concerned. Even as he had Noctis start to run through them with you.

"We need to be sure that you can..." Ignis was saying, as Noctis started to slowly slide his arm around your neck.

But before he could get even halfway over, you grabbed his wrist with one hand and hit him in his exposed rib cage with the opposite elbow. He slumped forward from the blow. And soon found himself on his back in front of you, from you yanking him over your shoulder. The move was so quick that both Ignis and Noctis where left speechless.

You stepped back from him with both hands up and your eyes on him. Your heart was racing and your breathing was eradicate as you stared back at his stunned face. You took a couple shallow breaths as you tried to calm down. Your whole body was telling you that you were on the edge of panic attack as you stood there practically vibrating from your nerves being on edge.

"Perhaps we should come back to this at a later time." Ignis said as he slowly tried to walk up to you as he carefully watched your every movement.

"Yes." Noctis quietly groaned from the floor as he watched you close your eyes and walk away from both of them and towards your bag.

Ignis stopped in front of Noctis and held out his hand to him. "I'm afraid, that I won't be able to get her over this like last time."

"Then perhaps," Noctis said as he stood up. "I should try to help out this time."

"How?" Ignis quietly asked as he gave Noctis a concerned look. "And what do you plan on doing that I haven't tried already?"

"I don't know yet." Noctis said as he watched you walk over and grab your bag off of the floor before heading for the locker room to clean up.

"But I'll let you know when I figure it out." Noctis said as he looked back at Ignis with a slight smile.

You had your head down and your hands on the shower wall as you let the hot water run down your back. You weren't quite sure how long you had been standing there like that. All you knew was that you felt like you had failed Ignis. All of those fears from before were back. Only this time they were more violent and almost unpredictable.

One minute you would be perfectly fine. Only to totally freak out the next. You tightly closed your eyes as you gave into the helplessness of it all and started to cry. The emotional pull was so harsh that you felt your legs giving out under you, causing you to sink down to the floor of the shower.

All of the training and years of pushing past it, all seemed like a loss now, as you felt like you were right back where you had started. You once again felt weak, scared, and in no shape to control any of it. And now the one person who had helped you through it was leaving.

"I can't......." You quietly said as you slumped down against the wall. "I can't do this again. Not without Ignis."

Suddenly the water was turned off in the shower and you felt two hands reach for you. You jumped at first. But when you turned and looked at who was trying to grab you. That was when you saw Ignis crouching beside you with a towel in his arms. You quickly turned towards him and reached out with both arms and wrapped them around his neck.

He didn't say anything as he wrapped the towel around you and picked you up off the floor. You tightened up your grip on him as he turned and walked away from the shower. You were in a daze before you felt his gently kiss your forehead. You closed your eyes as you slowly started to relax in his arms as he carried you over to the benches.

He then carefully sat you down on the bench and started to slowly dry you off. All you did was quietly sit there in silence. But you didn't need to say anything. Since Ignis didn't even try and strike up a conversation with you.

Instead he silently gave you the most soothing, yet intimate thing, that you had ever experienced. He slowly and gently dried you off every inch of your skin and even helped you to get dressed again. He even carefully dried and combed out your hair before putting it back into a ponytail for you.

You were started to feel sad that he wasn't talking to you. But when you saw the strained look on his face in the mirror, you understood why. It's not that he didn't want to say anything. It's that he couldn't.

The sight of you crumbled to the floor must have been too much for him to bear. And now he was fighting back his own emotions as he helped you out. When he was done getting you ready, you couldn't help the tears as they started to form again in your eyes as you looked at him in the mirror. He gave you a slight smile back.

You opened your mouth to say something. But nothing came out. Instead your very soul seemed to take over as you quickly stood up and turned around. Then you wrapped your arms firmly around his neck as you kissed him hard on the lips.

He responded with the same force as he pulled you hard against him and kissed you back just as hard. But it wasn't out of desire this time. Instead it was out of pure desperation and love for you. With each kids he showed you that he didn't want to let you go anymore than you wanted him to leave.

By time you broke away, you were both out of breath and your lips were raw. He put his forehead on yours and closed his eyes. He took a couple deep breaths to steady himself. Then after a moment, he gave you a gentle kiss on your forehead and your cheek.

You closed your eyes as placed your head on his shoulder. Then he leaned back and looked at you. You opened your eyes. You could see the torment in his eyes as they searched yours.

"I'm afraid that I have failed you love." He said in a rough voice.

You gave him a stunned look. "What?"

He swallowed once as he tried to keep his focus on you as his eyes told you that this was ripping him apart. "I had hoped to help you out this weekend with your fears. But I'm afraid that it didn't work this time."

You placed your other hand on his cheek. "You haven't failed me love. And you did everything that you could. But this isn't going to go away in one weekend."

Ignis closed his eyes again and inhaled a shaky breath as he fought against himself. You leaned up and gave him a gentle kiss on the cheek. He wrapped his fingers around your hand and gently squeezed before he moved it to his lips. You give him a tender smile as he looked back at you as he lowered your hand.

"I know you had hoped to get me past all of this. But it's going to take time." You said in a soothing tone.

"Time isn't something we have a lot of at the moment." He replied in a deep tone.

"No." You admitted as you glanced down. "Not yet anyway."

"But." You said as you looked back at him. "It will give us something to work on when I see you next time."

Ignis gave you a slight smile back as he fought back his tears. "That it does."

Ignis then pulled you close to his chest again as he wrapped his arms around you tightly. "That it does."

Ignis then gave you a kiss on the head as he held you firmly against him for a few minutes. Then he released you enough to look you in the eyes.

"Let's head up to the dining room for dinner. I still have a few people that I need to see before we head out." He said as he moved your hair behind your ear.

"Sure." You quietly responded.

After a fantastic dinner with King Regis and Noctis. Ignis had said a quick but sad goodbye to Marge and the kitchen staff. Then you found yourself once again in front of the citadel. Noctis was standing on the sidewalk beside his dad. His was strained as he locked his jaw to prevent from showing the real emotion that was eating at him.

"Safe travels Ignis." King Regis was saying as he was shaking his hand. "I know that you'll have a lot to learn in a short period of time. But I know that you are more than ready for the challenge."

"Thank you your grace." Ignis with a slight nod.

"And I'm looking forward to your return for the wedding." King Regis smiled back as he released his hand. "I'm sure there will be a lot to talk about by then."

"Of course." Ignis replied with a smile.

Noctis then walked up to Ignis pulled him in for a full embrace. "Don't forget about us over there."

"I don't think that will be possible." Ignis quietly said as he tightly hugged Noctis back.

After a few quiet moments, they released each other. You slightly dropped your gaze when you realized that both of them had tears in their eyes. You didn't think that they would want you to see how much this was affecting the two of them. Even though you already knew.

"Call me right before you get off the train. I want to make sure that you made it okay." Noctis said as he gave Ignis a concerned look.

"I will." Ignis said back with a smile. "And I'll call you as soon as I get back on the train in a few months."

"I'll be waiting." Noctis smiled back.

Ignis nodded back before he looked at you. "Ready?"

"For you? Always." You said with as big of a smile as you could muster.

The trip back to your house was quiet. The only sound was the radio playing in the background as Ignis tightly gripped your hand. It was the hardest trip that either of you had ever had to take. Because this was going to be the last car trip together until he came back. And there wasn't anymore time left. Once he left your house, that was it for the next three months.

You tightened up your grip on his hand as you felt your throat starting to close up on you. Your eyes started to burn again as you felt the tears once again threatening to fall. You had to sniff in order to try and calm back down as your house came into view. Ignis heard it and brought your hand up to his lips and gave it a gentle kiss.

"No more tears love." He quietly said as he pulled up in front of your house.

You dropped your head and bit your lip as you tried to stop it from trembling. But this was it. You were only one short walk from losing him for three months. Your heart was already starting to shatter as he put the car in park. And your hands were starting to shake as he undid his seatbelt after he turned off the car. You closed your eyes tightly as you fought to keep the tears from falling.

Ignis reached over, cupped your chin and lifted it up. And before you even opened your eyes to look at him, he already had his lips on yours as he deeply kissed you. You quickly undid your seatbelt and slid over and onto his lap. His lips never left yours as you slipped your legs on either side of his hips.

He tightly wrapped his arms around you and pulled you firmly against him. "Oh dear six are you an evil temptress." He said in a deep voice as he slipped his fingers under the cloth and started to rub them up and down your velvety folds. "But I'm afraid that this will have to fast and dirty. Which is not how I usually like to do this."

"Fuck me Ignis." You said in a deep voice in his ear before you gave his earlobe a nibble. "Here and now. Hard and fast. I don't care if it's dirty."

Ignis couldn't respond as he groaned out loud as you tightened up your grip on him as you quickly stroked him. But you were soon groaning in response as he slipped one finger inside you and started to move it in and out at a quick pace. Then he quickly added in the second finger and had you panting for more.

"Dear six are you hot." He said as he was already starting to come unraveled from the pleasure that you were giving him.

Then he felt you position him at your entrance. Then he was hissed his delight as you slid down onto him. Instantly both of you rolled your eyes in the back of you heads as you slid him all the way into you as you sat down on him. Then you both started groaning as you started to move up and down on him.

Everything after was pure bliss as he took a hold of your hips and held you in place as he quickly started thrusting into you. All you could do was call out as you both were quickly thrown to the edge. You had had a feeling that you weren't going to take much to feel your release. But never had you imagined that you would feel him reaching that same edge right with you.

And in one powerful thrust, you both called out as you rocked your head back as your whole body started to tremble from pure bliss. Ignis fingers dug into your legs as he deeply groaned from feeling you pouring all over him as he filled you up. He slowly moved in and out of you as you both saviored the sensation before he came to a complete stop from the overstimulation. All he could do then was pull you against his chest and hold you tightly as you both deeply exhaled as you tried to catch your breath again.

You lifted up your head and looked him in the eye and gave him a loving smile. "At least I'm over my fear in your car now."

Ignis slightly laughed as he stroked your hair. "That you are. And perhaps when I get back. We can work on another part of it."

"I would like that a lot." You said with a smile as you laid your head against his chest.

After lying there for a few minutes. Ignis shifted under you as it was starting to get uncomfortable for him. You lifted up your head and slowly climbed back off of him. Then you each straightened out your clothes and hair back again.

Once you both straightened out, he got out of the car and grabbed your bag out of the truck. Then he walked around to your side and opened up your door. Then the two of you walked slowly up to the door as he held your hand in one hand and your bag in the other. Ignis then looked over at you as you smiled back at him as you both stopped in front of your front door.

Ignis then reached up one hand and cupped your chin. "I love you (y/n)."

"I love you too." You replied as he gave you a loving smile.

"Promise that you'll wait for me." He said in a quiet tone as he searched you eyes.

"For you? Always." You replied as you slowly leaned up and gently placed your lips on his.

******Author Note******

One of the hardest thing for most military members is saying goodbye to their loved ones as get ready to go on deployment. And whether its for six months or a year, each time hurts all the same. But they do it each and every time as they are called away to protect those that they leave behind. This to me is the true definition of service. Having the strength to put your own life on the line to protect those around you and beyond from a threat that wants to hurt them and everyone else who is innocent. Think about that the next time you see a world war two veteran or a service member in uniform.

I do want apologize for the delay in this chapter's release. But I wanted to make sure that I ended this correctly. I was considering continuing with this book as it is. But I think I better end this book here and start a new one, considering that this one is huge as it is. Not to worry though, the next book will continue roughly where this one left off.
