"Have a good night."  You said to Brian as you watched him locking up the front door of the restaurant as you walked towards the car.

"You too."  Brian said as he turned around.  "But it looks like your night isn't done yet."

"Huh?"  You asked as you gave him a confused look.

But all Brian did was smile as he nodded to something behind you.  You gave him a confused look, before you turned around.  And that was when you saw Ignis leaning against the smooth hood of the most beautiful car that you had ever seen.  Your heart instantly leaped as he looked at you with his gentle smile.

"I hope that you don't mind that I waited for you to get off work."  Ignis said in his calm accented voice.

"Of course not."  You shyly said as you walked up to him as you pushed your hair behind your ear.  "I would have hurried up though if I had known."

"I can wait love."  Ignis said as he stood up and met you on the sidewalk as you stopped right by his car.  "I think I owe you that after you have waited for me so many nights before."

You dropped your head as you clasped your hands in front of you.  "You don't owe me anything.  I understand that you were busy with your classes and all."

Then you felt Ignis grabbed both of your hands and raise them up to his chest.  You followed your hands with your eyes as you took a deep breath as you tried to steady your nerves.  But the instant that you hands touched his chest you could feel them start to tingle as he slid his hands down your sides and around you waist.  Then your heart started pounding as he pulled you closer to him so that your body was pressed against his.

Suddenly you realized that you still wearing your work clothes which made you tense up.  Shit!  He's going to get his clothes dirty.  "Umm."

"What is it?"  Ignis asked as he gave you confused look as you started to push him away.

"I'm all dirty and nasty from work."  You said as you gently tried to push him, which didn't seem to move him in the slightest.

"I don't care."  Ignis said as he pulled you closer to him and leaned over to kissed you.

You tried to push him away one last time.  But once his lips touched yours, your completely gave up.  And instead of moving him away, you moved your hands up and wrapped them around his neck as you started to fall under his spell.  You had almost forgotten how great it felt to kiss him like this.  It had seemed like a lifetime had gone by since the two of you embraced each other for a simple kiss.

And after a slow passionate kiss he pulled away enough to look at you.  "How about we head to my place?"

You smiled back at him as you gently ran the back of your fingers across his cheek.  "I wish I could.  But I should be getting home."

"But we haven't had much time to practice for the concert?"  He said as he searched your eyes with a pleading look.

"You of all people don't need any practice when it comes to a simple choir concert."  You said back with a slight sigh.

"I do, when I want to perform perfectly for my partner."  He said as he moved your hair behind your ear, which made your entire ear tingle.  

"Especially since I haven't really been there for my said partner."  He said in a sad tone as he dropped his hand back down to your side.

You dropped your head again.  "It's okay.  I don't mind.  And I've been helping the others with their steps.  So, I should be okay."

"Well it's not okay to me."  He said in a firmer tone as he reached up and lifted your chin up so that you were looking at him.  "My girlfriend shouldn't have to be by herself all the time.  Not when I'm still here.  So will you come?"

"Okay."  You quietly responded when you saw the seriousness in his face.

You could tell that he was actually really upset with himself for not being there.  Because his entire body language screamed at you how much he had missed having you with him.  His fingers kept slowly moving across your skin, sending chills through out your body.  His breathing was short as if he was afraid that you might blow away if he exhaled to heavily.  And you could feel his heart pounding in his chest as hard as yours.

"I'll call my dad and let him know that I'll be practicing at your place for a while."  You half whispered as he leaned in closer to you again.

"And I'll let my uncle know as well."  Ignis whispered before he placed his lips on yours once again.

And once again you were both lost in the moment as you affectionately kissed each other as you held each other.  That was until you heard a can bouncing off of the concrete as if it got kicked down the alleyway on the other side of the street.  You both quickly turned towards the alleyway.  Ignis pulled you closer to him as he intently listened for foot steps or anything else that indicated trouble.  You slid your hands down to his chest as you listened as well.

"Perhaps we should get going."  He said in a calm voice, which didn't match the tension in his body.

"That sounds like a good idea."  You responded as you tried to calm down your racing heart beat.

"So this is the car your uncle got you."  You said as you walked up to Ignis' car after parking Tracy's in the garage under his condo.

"Yes it is."  Ignis said as he glanced quickly at it before looking back at you.

"It's gorgeous."  You said as you couldn't get over him having that car of all cars.  "Does Noctis know you have this?"

"He does."  Ignis said as he dropped his head before he grabbed your hand.

"I'm surprised he didn't want the same one."  You said as you admired the smooth and stylish design of it, which made it the perfect fit for him.

"He had looked at one of these first.  But then he decided that he didn't want this much attention."  Ignis said as he looked back at his car.

"What do you mean?"  You asked as you looked at him with a puzzled look.

"Well, as you can imagine, not very many people have this car.  So it attracts a lot of people's attention as they try to get a better look at it."  Ignis said in a serious tone.  "It can make things difficult to blend in when you have a car like this one.  Unless of course no one really knows you."

"So your having trouble with it as well then?"  You smiled at him.

"Hardly."  He said with a smile.  "I'm part of that unknown."

"You are far from being unknown."  You said as you wrapped your arms around him as you gave him a huge smile.  "There isn't a single person at our school who doesn't know who you are.  Let alone everyone at the citadel and the rec center.  And then there's the college..."

"I get it.  I get it."  Ignis interrupted as you tried to keep going.

"But your the only one I'm really worried about at the moment."  He said as he wrapped his arms around your waist again.  "I am truly sorry that I haven't really been there these last few weeks."

You shook your head and smiled.  "It doesn't matter.  Your here now.  And that's what counts."

"You really are something."  He said with a smile as he moved your hair behind your ear.  "You know that?"

"It's only because of you."  You said back with a smile.

Ignis smiled back at you and gave you a quick grin before he gestured towards the elevator.  "Shall we?"

"And what about your uncle?  Is he home?"  You asked as you looked at him.

"He's presently over at Mary's apartment."  Ignis said as he searched your face.  "Why do you ask?"

"I'm just curious is all."  You said with a smile.  "My dad wasn't sure if he was comfortable with all of this himself.  But he gave in, in the end.  And I was just thinking about your uncle's reaction."

"This was actual part of my uncle's plan.  He wanted us to spend some quiet time together.  So he decided to head over to Mary's so that we would have our privacy."  Ignis said with a smile.

"Is that really a good idea?"  You asked as you gave him a teasing look.

"Any time I get to spend with you is always a good idea."  He returned with a smile as he narrowed his eyes at you.

You smiled at him before you gave him a quick kiss.  "I couldn't agree more."

Then you both smiled at each other and you turned towards the elevator.  You released him enough so that the two of you could walk.  And the smile you had, seemed to be plastered on your face as you walked with him.  How you had missed this.  Even if it was only a short walk in the parking garage.

"Are you sure that your uncle doesn't mind?  We are right outside of his bedroom after all."  You nervously asked Ignis as he took a seat at the grand piano that sat on their second floor balcony just outside of Korn's bedroom.  "And since when have you had a piano?"

"Like I told you earlier.  My uncle is over at Mary's place at the moment."  Ignis said as he opened up the piano and situated himself on the bench.  "And piano we just recently bought.  My uncle didn't want all of my time and lessons on the piano to go to waste.  So he bought the piano so that I could play here at the house for him or whenever I want."

"Sounds more like he wanted you to be his personal pianist."  You said with a smile as you sat down next to him.  "And won't he be upset that it's just the two of us here?" 

"Not at all.  Because again, this was partly his idea."  Ignis smiled at you as he started to play the intro to one of the songs for the concert without even looking at the keys.  

You couldn't help but to smile at him.  "Looks like someone has been practicing."

"Perhaps a bit."  He grinned back.

Then on the next note you both started to sing the song to each other.  You couldn't help but too smile as you happily sang the upbeat song in harmony with him.  And as you sang, it took you back to the first time that you saw him playing the piano in class and how surprised you were to learn that he could sing.  But now as you listened to him sing in perfect pitch along with you, you couldn't picture him not playing the piano.  The two of them just seemed to make sense being together, no matter how you looked at it.

After about an hour you heard the front door open and Korn and Mary walked in.  They came up the stairs right as Ignis played the last few notes as you both held the last note until he ended the song as he removed his hands.  Then they both clapped for the two of you as they smiled at you.  You couldn't help but to smile at them as Mary beamed at the two of you.

"As beautiful as ever."  She said with a smile as they walked over to the piano.  "I so missed hearing you play.  I'm glad that they were able to get this up here for you now."

"Thank you."  Ignis said in his usual modest tone.  "It certainly makes it easier to get ready for the concert.  Even though I have had to miss class a few times."

"Well it doesn't show in your playing that you have missed anything.  I think your director will be very pleased indeed with your performance."  Mary said with a smile.

"This might be a good time to wrap it up though."  Korn said with a soft tone.  "You both still have to get up early for school tomorrow.  But perhaps you could stop over again after work tomorrow and practice again?  I know Ignis mentioned something to me about ther being some dance moves that he wanted to review as well."

"Wait, really?"  You asked out of shock to hear that coming from Korn.

"Of course.  The concert is this Friday and I know that the two of you haven't had much practice time lately.  Whether on the songs or on the dance moves."  Korn said with a kind tone and an even kinder face.  "In fact you can come for the rest of the week as far as I'm concerned.  After all, they say that practice make perfect."

You couldn't help but to smile at them before you looked back at Ignis and saw the same in his face. "That will be awesome."

"Then we shall see you tomorrow then as well."  Mary said with a smile.

"Yeah."  You grinned back.

"Ready love?"  You heard Ignis say from beside you as he held your hand.

You took a shaky breath as you tried to stay calm.  But as you turned and looked at him, instantly you felt calm as he smiled back at you.  He didn't look nervous at all.  In fact he looked excited and ready to go.  Which seemed to pour over to you and make you smile with confidence yourself.

"For you?  Always."  You said firmly.

He then brought your hand up to his lips and kissed it gently without taking his eyes off of you.  You felt your heart leap as your love for him filled you up and took away all of your fears of being scared and alone.  Because his eyes told you that he was here now.  And that he would always be by your side.  Even if he wasn't standing right beside you.

"Then let's go."  He said quietly and started up the stairs to the stage with you by his side.

The confidence that he had given you, carried you through the entire first half of the concert as you sat beside him and sang as you turned the pages for him.  Which he honestly didn't need, but you did it out of habit anyway.  But to you, you didn't feel like you were on stage in front of a full audience.  But instead, you were back at his uncle's condo as the two of you practiced at the piano on the second floor as you sang for each other.  Everything else in the room seemed to disappear as each song started.  

In fact the conductor herself was just barely noticeable to you as she conducted the entire choir through several songs for that evening.  And it wasn't until the curtain was being drawn, that you realized that the first half of the concert was even over.  Well that and Ignis standing up and taking your hand so that the two of you could walk backstage.  After which you both went downstairs with the rest of the choir as everyone got changed into their dance attire for the second half.

"You were amazing as always Iggy."  Prompto said with a smile.  "But how did you find time to practice with everything else going on?"

Ignis turned to you and smiled.  "That is something that we can share at a later time.  Right now, my lovely dance partner and gorgeous girlfriend of mine and I, have to get ready for our dance."

You couldn't help but to grin broadly at him as he brought your hand up to lips and give you a gentle kiss as his eyes seemed to burn for you.  The sight made you catch your breath as you could feel the heat radiating from him as he lower your hand.  You remembered at one point that you had told him that you wanted to make his last performance a memorable one.  But never did you figure that he would be the one to bring out that spark that would carry you through the rest of the way.

"Shall we get dressed?"  He asked as he gave you a heated smile.

"Yeah."  You replied as you felt your whole body start tingle with anticipation.

You looked at yourself in the bathroom mirror as you tried to make sure that everything was perfect.  All of the girls got to wear the same color dress as last time.  But this time, the style was more meant for ballroom dancing.  Which made sense considering some of the dances that you were going to be performing that night.  And a lot of the dances were to be performed as couples dance.  And the main couple, was the two of you.

"You look amazing."  One of the other girls said as she smiled at you.

"Thanks." you smiled back at her.  "So do you."

"Thanks."  She returned.  "Let's do our best.  And we'll be sure to follow your lead."

"Thank you."  You replied.

"And don't worry.  We've all got your back."  You heard a familiar voice say.

You turned and saw the rest of the girls were looking at you with huge smiles as they all seemed to stand behind Gwen as she stood there beaming at you.  You couldn't help but to smile even bigger.  It made you happy that everyone was excited and supported you for once.  It seemed that all of the help that you had given them was paying off.  Or perhaps Gwen threatened them.  You weren't quite sure.  But either way, it still made you happy.

"Thank you.  I won't let you down."  You said with a determined tone.

"I think the director was thinking about you when she ordered these outfits man."  Prompto said as he tried to straighten out his hair that just didn't seem to want to lay flat.  "It seems to fit you perfectly."

"I think it looks just as good on you."  Ignis said with a smile.

"You think?"  Prompto asked with a smile before he started looking at himself closer.  "You don't think it makes my ass look big?"

"You wish it did Pom Pom."  One of the other male students jokingly said from behind him.

"Shut up man."  Prompto said back to them as they smiled at him.

"But not to worry Ignis."  Prompto said with a serious tone.  "We've all been practicing a lot just to make sure that this is the best concert ever."

Ignis then slowly looked around at all of the guys as they stood there smiling at him.  "Thank you.  That means a lot to me."

When the two of you exited the bathrooms the whole hallway seemed to go silent  as everyone just paused and stared at the two of you.   But either of you noticed since the only person you seemed to notice was each other.  You had fought back the gasp as you seemed to lose your breath as you looked at him as he came walking up to you.  And with each step that he took, you heart seemed to race faster and faster until it was pounding in your chest as he stopped in front of you.

"You look amazing."  Ignis quietly said as he grabbed your hands as he slowly ran his eyes over the dress as it seemed to hug your body and hips before it fanned out to one side.

"I can say the same thing about you."  You half whispered as you fingers tingled to run across his slightly exposed chest as they made their way up to his neck.

"Oh you two look amazing."  The director said as she walked out of the choir room to see the two of you standing there as everyone else started to find their partner so that they could see how good they looked.  "This is truly going to be a performance to remember."

"Good evening, and welcome to the Capital High Spring Concert."  The choir director said as she stood behind the podium.

The whole room quieted down as she spoke.  "Tonight we are proud to be able to present you with the finest music that this school has ever been able to put together.  And that is all thanks to our talented students of this years concert choir, that all of us know and love."

"Tonight you will be able to see them not only sing you songs from the different decades but....they.....will....perform....?" She slowly said as she looked at the curtain as it opened up and showed you and Ignis slowly walking across stage as music started to play through the sound system.  

"Now wait...?"  She tried to say. 

But that was the last thing that they heard from her as you and Ignis suddenly broke out into a dance.

The whole audience broke out into applause as the two of you flew from dances from the 1920's to the current times.  Only to have you quickly turn around and join the rest of the choir who had gotten into place.  Then after a single breath, the whole choir broke out into coordinated group song and dance that continued with what you had started.  Which had the whole crowd cheering again again as the whole choir broke out into the next song, which was a medley of commons songs.

The whole stage seemed to thump as the choir moved from one transition to the next. The crowd would shout out once in a while as everyone danced across the stage. You couldn't help but to smile broadly as the whole choir was starting to get into it as different groups would move up for each transition.  The music seemed to flow from everyone as the crowded started clapping in time with the music.

The energy coming from the crowd seemed to feed back into the choir and add more energy to their steps.  Because no one seemed to slow down or lose their place as everyone moved across the stage.  Each couple seemed to act as one as they intertwined with each other at some parts and even as a big group towards the end, which ended in the audience shouting out their excitement as the room seemed to explode with excitement.

But as the crowded cheered loudly, the choir slowly moved as they transitioned into the next song which was a slow song. The song was slow, but powerful as it started off with Ignis singing the solo before he looked at you as the song started off.  Then all of the guys joined as they took their partners hands as everyone joined in as they sang to their partner.  

Then with the next stanza, it was Gwen who started off the next part as she sang to Prompto.  Then she was joined by the rest of the girls as they sang to their partners.  You couldn't help but to grin at her before joining with the rest of the girls as you turned your attention back to Ignis.  You felt your heart start to pound as you could feel his love for you pouring over you as his fingers gentle grazed across your cheek as you both sang.  And sure it was apart of the show, but it still left your heart racing and your skin tingling from his touch. 

Everyone was then looking at their partner as they sang to each other.  Then everyone slowly started to get louder as they grabbed each other's hands before they looked forward and sang out to the audience.  You could feel the goose bumps on your sing.  For you could feel the power of the song as the words flowed from the choir members.  Everyone seemed to become lost in the song as they gave in to the song before slowing down at the end once again.

Then the next song started. And this it started out with several senior girls singing out as they started singing and snapping their fingers as they stepped forward.  They sang out beautifully as they set a sassy type of tone for all of the girls as they started to join in groups.  And as each group joined in, they moved in front of the guys as they sang out to the guys. Then the girls moved towards the front of the stage as the guys slowly moved behind them as the girls slowly danced as they sang the song and snapped along. The girls slowly moved across the stage as they did they a sassy type of dance as they sang and slowly moved their hips as they.

The guys in the audience seem to like it as they cheered the girls on as they seemed to be trying to seduce the crowd with each note.  Which you were positive a few of them were since you knew their boyfriends were in the audience.  You on the other hand was more concerned about Ignis staring at your butt as you sang and danced in front of him.  You just hoped that he was enjoying himself.

No sooner did your song, that the next song started.  But this time, all of the guys got up and started singing as they moved up towards the front of the stage.  You slightly jumped as Ignis came up and slightly grabbed your butt before he walked past you as he kept singing.  You couldn't help but you nervously smile and quickly moved off to the side as they did their song. Of course this did nothing for your face that was now bright red since that had been the last thing that you had expected from him.

But you watched the guys dance, you couldn't help but to cheer for them danced across the stage.  You of course weren't the only one who did this since you could hear other choir members cheering for them, as well as several people from the audience.  It was obvious that several of them had a girlfriend in the crowd.  Or at least a few fans.  Which you knew was the case with Ignis as you could hear Gladio and Noctis cheering on Prompto and Ignis.

And no sooner did their song end that the next song began. But this time the whole choir started to get back into it as everyone sang as they slowly started to get back into place as they found their partners again and took their place on the stage.  Then soon the whole stage was moving once again as everyone started to dance with they partners.  Everyone was smiles again as the stage echoes of their steps as they interact with each by either moving opposite of each other or by the guys spinning the girls around in front of them.

The room seemed to boom from the energy that was coming from the choir as they sang and danced across the stage with their partner in hand.  You couldn't help but you smile as you started to get into it as you saw Gwen and Prompto out of the corner of you eye as they seemed to pouring all of their energy into the song.  Which made you even happier that they were once again performing the way they meant to.  And that was together.

Then with the last foot the whole choir once again shifted their spots in the stage where everyone was spread out and completely covered the stage as the conductor did one last word. "And as we bring an end to the night, we ask that everyone joins in if you know this one as we celebrate our wonderful school and city."

As she finished, the lights in the room dimmed down.  And after the first few notes played, the whole room erupted once again.  And soon the whole room was singing with the choir and everyone was clapping along with the choir.  The excitement was almost contagious as the crowd and choir both seemed to be adding to the already adrenaline rush that was flowing through all of the choir members.

Even you couldn't help but to really get into it as the whole choir sang out loud and started to add in a bit of their own sass into the movements.  Which just feed even more into the thrill of the music that everyone was now total engulfed into.  And the whole stage floor seemed to boom as it echoed ad thumped from everyone's foot stomps as they danced.  

Even the choir director couldn't get over the excitement that was coming from the crowd and the stage.  She knew that everyone had been excited to perform this song.  But never had she imagined how intense it would get.  It even had everyone back stage clapping along as they watched.

And after the last note sounded, the whole choir froze as the crowd immediately rose to their feet for a full standing ovation.  There wasn't a single person still sitting as the choir stood there panting with huge smiles on their face as they enjoyed the attention from the crowd.  Then slowly the choir started to move as they got into two lines and interlaced their arms and everyone did a huge bow to the crowd.  Which had them all cheering again.

Then the choir director came walking out to the center of the stage and the whole crowd went off again.  She bowed to them then she gestured back to the choir and everyone did one last bow.  Then the director turned back around to the crowd and put the mic back to her mouth.

"And on behalf of the students of Choir and the entire musical staff here at Capital High, we wish you a good night."  She said as everyone started clapping again.

But then as she turned around to talk to the choir she froze.  Because, little did she know that all but the senior had already left the stage and were now off to the sides as the seniors now all stood in two rows on the stage.  And suddenly from the loud speakers came a voice.

"And as the seniors for Capital High get ready to step off the stage for the last time, we would like to leave behind two bits of advice to everyone.  Never be afraid to show the world what your made of.  And never let the music stop."  You heard Gwen say before she quickly handed you back the microphone.

Then all of the seniors broke out into the last dance as they danced across the stage with Ignis and Gwen being the two main leads.  You couldn't help but to smile since you knew what they had had this planned from the beginning.  Even if your now stunned choir director had no clue.  She was is shock a she moved off to the side of the stage and watched her students perform a dance to several popular songs that she had  had no idea they had been working on.

The audience on the other hand was thoroughly enjoying the show as they sang out the songs and clapped in time with the songs.  They were shouting and cheered in between each transition as the next song in the medley began.  You and Prompto cheered them on as well, along with the rest choir as you watched them putting everything into it.  Which seemed to encourage them more as they danced across the stage before joining the middle for a moment.  Then they moved back out and into a v-shape and went into the last part of the dance before they ended the song as they danced off stage and into the cheering choir as the audience exploded and was once again on their feet.

You couldn't help but to beam at Ignis as he came up to you with a huge smile on his face as she tried to catch his breath.  

"That was AWESOME!"  You shouted over the noise as you beamed at him and threw your arms around him. 

"We were awesome."  He said as he beamed back at you.

Then he wrapped his arms around you as he pulled your close to him and gave you a kiss.  Which you enjoyed as you as you slid your hand down and through the hair on the back on his head.  That was when you realized how hot he actually was since you could feel the dampness in his hair from the sweat that was threatening to roll down his neck.  But you didn't care as you kissed him back before releasing him so that he could breath again.

Then you both looked over and saw Prompto lean in give Gwen a long over due kiss.  And once again you felt your heart start to melt as you watched them for a moment.  But it was cut short as the choir director walked out onto stage again and gestured to everyone to come back out for one last bow.  All of you smiled at each other the walked back out with the rest of the choir.  Then as one line, everyone interlocked their arms together once again and did one last bow as a group that was lead by the director herself.

Every senior across the globe always has that one goal in life that they think about as they finish out their final days at school.  Some are thinking about the college that they will be attending in the fall.  While others are thinking about their next job or that chance to move up in their job.  Then there are those who are looking forward to traveling during their summer break before heading back into the classroom.

And for each of them, I say do whatever makes you the happiest.  You only get to graduate once from high school.  Enjoy it and give it your all and you'll never regret the day that you walked across stage and received your diploma.

And for those who didn't finish, know that it's never too late to get it.  Because even those who received their GED had a dream,  And even they were able to accomplish it through their hard work and determination.  Because believe it or not, its harder to get a GED then it is to get a high school diploma.

And to all of the seniors of 2020 who didn't get that chance to walk across that stage because of the whole COVID situation.  Know that I am super proud of you for not giving up during a time a crisis.  And for showing the world that the class of 2020 doesn't back down from a challenge and is a force to be reckoned with.  Congratulations, and I wish you good fortune in your future choices.

Ad as for our fighting duo.  The time of their separation approaches a lot faster then what anyone was really prepared for.  Even though everyone knew it was come.  But will one person's presence be replaced with another?  We shall see.
