"I hope you are enjoying the party" Rajveer asked Naina, she nodded smiling at him, more than this Ball she was enjoying his company, don't know why but she feels warm and protected in his proximity, she trusts him without any reason much to her amazement.

"Hi Rajveer, you are looking handsome" complimented Nandini coming near him.

"Thanks Nandini..." He politely said.

She steps more closer to him totally ignoring Naina's presence "but you know what...." Whispering to him sensually "hum dono agar sath ate... To we would have made a sizzling pair" she said touching his chest.

Nain felt uncomfortable with her aura around her, not that she has any grudges against her, besides she just met her here only, they didn't even exchanged couple of words and here she is already getting negative vibes from her.

He carefully pushes her away "we might have.... But I think..", he looks at Naina "it's us who scored 10/10.... " Then looking at Nandini "we never  scored maximum before, in any ball or party...did we?" Naina felt hundreds of butterflies fluttering in her stomach when he touched her, she felt shy and confident all together, he asked her for Dance, which she happily agreed for. All the girl cadets were burning in jealousy... They were envying her luck, not just date but she also gets to dance with him, she is getting extra affecting from his side.

This action of Rajveer gave another push to Nandini, to hate Naina some more. She went near drinks corner, cadets were serving alcohol secretly there.

"I don't know what magic that witch has done on my Rajveer" she gulped down her drink "magar mein bhi haar nahi manungi, I'll figure out something soon" she looks at them dancing cozily, his soft side for her... he never smiles to her, Her heart burned watching her blush when he said something to her, "jitna khush hona hai ho lo.... Ye khushi zyada din tak tikegi nahi". She asks for another drink but it was out of stock.

"Khubsurat ladkia or unka khatarnaak gussa.... Deadly combination, I like it" a guy commented giving her his drink.

She ignored him "I have told you many times Abhimanyu...... I am not interested in you".

"To kisme intrest hai tumhara.... Uss playboy mein" he said looking at Rajveer "jisne sabke samne tumhari insult kar di.... Kya kuch nahi kiya hai tumne uske liye.... Bachpan se uski galatiya chupane ke liye khud sabki nazar mein buri bani, uske bure waqt me uske sath khadi rahi..... Or usne kya kiya? Tumhe hi ditch kar diya. Kisi or ke sath ball mein agaya.... Tch. I feel very bad for you" he tried to rile her up.

She turns to face him "I know what you are trying to do.... But sorry to break your bubble, mujhpe ye sab kam nahi karega, ja kar kisi or ko competition banao.... Rajveer se tum agle saat janam tak bhi mukabla nahi kar sakte" she smirked.

"Agar tum mere sath aa jao, to saat Rajveer ko bhi ek sath hara sakta hu...wo bhi isi janam me" He brings his face near her "so tell me what do you think sweetheart"

She was looking at Rajveer "I think you are.........." She went close to Abhimanyu "sick, tum Rajveer se compete nahi kar sakte because...." She gave him knowing smile "You know that very well why" she smirked leaving him there alone, rubbing salt on his wounds.

"Bloody slut, samajhti kya hai ye apne aap ko... Just because few guys yearn to be with her... Apne apko most wanted samajhne lagi hai... Pachas ati jati hai iske jaisi..." He grunted in anger.

"Relax abhi.. jane de, waise bhi Rajveer ka intrest nahi hai isme ab.... Looks like that womanizer just found his new play toy" Daksh said pointing at Naina, who was now very comfortably dancing with Rajveer

"Ye..." Abhimanyu looks at Naina, being unsure "ye china doll, iske liye Rajveer se competition karu... You serious? Am afraid agar iske agey saans bhi lunga to kahi ye ud na jaye" Abhimanyu made fun of her. "Rajveer is brute, ye ladki zyada din usey bandhe nahi rakh payegi.."

"You never know dude, hathi ko pagal karne ke liye ek cheeti bhi kafi hoti hai..." Daksh said suggestively.

"Whatever" he shrugged gulping down his drink, showing no intrest in her.

"I hope you enjoyed the night" Rajveer asked escorting her till hostel.

"Hmm.... Mujhe parties, public gatherings kabhi pasand nahi ati.... But....." She saw his face "I enjoyed my time today... For the first tim".

He comes in front of her "aur aisa kyu?" He teased her.

She flushed "umm.. pata nahi, shayad... Kabhi kisi ne... Comfortable feel hi nahi karaya" she lowers her eyes "jaise apne karaya".

"You feel comfortable...with me?" He asks straight looking at her.

"I feel...... Secure, with you" she finally looks at him, for the first time in years, he felt overwhelmed. Their proximity was making atmosphere around them intimate. They started to feel kind of spell, he closed the distance between them, Letting her feel his warmth... He cups her face, creasing her cheeks... She closed her eyes, letting him do anything he wants. Only one thing came in his mind seeing her trust in him. She is innocent, she must be dealt delicately.

"You must go now... It's late now, we'll meet tomorrow for.... For your next lesson" he left, leaving her embarrassed at her fast forwardness.

He felt bad, watching her feel awkward, so he kissed her cheek before leaving making her gasp with his sudden action "good night..... Naina...ahh singh" he left winking at her mischievously. Her heart fluttered, may it's... It's not one sided.... May be.

Rajveer clutched Abhimanyu's collar, his eyes spitting rage while Abhimanyu was behaving cool and calm as if all he wanted was to provoke him in which he was successful to some extend.

"Bhul mat Abhimanyu, ye barmer nahi hai... Jaha mujhse bachane ke liye koi ayega tujhe". Rajveer was throwing daggers at him.

"Mein chahta bhi nahi... Ki koi aye bachane... Waise bhi tum ab sirf geedad bhapki de sakte ho.. kar kuch nahi sakte" Abhimanyu provokes him further.

"Meine sirf gunda gardi chhodi hai, bhula nahi hu... Waise bhi jisey meine kasam di thi, wo to iss duniya mein ab hai nahi.. to mein kiske liye kasam nibhau" Rajveer said still holding him from collar.

"To fir thik hai, na tumhe koi rokne wala, na mujhe koi tokne wala... aj dekh lete hai hai,  kiska khoon kitna garam hai" Abhimanyu grinned maliciously.

"Khoon ki baat to tu kar hi mat harami, teri aukat nahi hai" Abhimanyu's expression changed, Rajveer was about to punch him when Alekh drags him away from Abhimanyu.

"Pagal ho gaya hai, kya kar raha hai tu.." Alekh screamed pulling him away.

"Tu mujhe Chhod de Alekh, aj mein iss gandagi ka namo nishan mita ke hi rahunga..." Rajveer tries to free himself by applying all his force.

"Dimag kharab hai kya...wo yahi to chahta hai.. tujhe provoke karna, taki gusse me akar tu kuch galat kare or academy se bahar ho jaye.... Or fir sabke samne ye sabit kar dega ki ye tujhse better hai.." Alekh was trying hard to control him with the help of his two other friends but it was getting impossible to control him.

"I don't give a fuck.... Every one knows, ki iski do kaudi ki aukat nahi hai mere agey, ye kis naali ka keeda hai ye sab jante hai" Rajveer spat in rage which was bubbling inside him watching him smirk.

"Rajveer mat pagal ban, ye teri nafrat ke layak bhi nahi hai... Kyu iske muhh lagta hai... Uski wajah se apni saalo ki mehnat bekar mat jane de... Tune iss academy me reh kar apne bal bute par itni izzat kamai hai, jo ye saat janmo me bhi nahi kama sakta.. waste mat kar usey yaar, atleast not for this jerk" Alekh looks at Abhimanyu in anger, swearing to teach this bastard a lesson one day.

Rajveer seems a bit convinced of what Alekh said but he will not let him go easily... Just few more months untill he becomes an officer, then he'll show, who is the real monster.. Rajveer left With Alekh throwing him deadly glare. Soon everyone started to leave the scene as the show got over.

Naina was shocked to watch this scene before her eyes, was this really Rajveer who is so helping and caring. Though he always seems a bit mysterious to her but today she saw another side of him, he looked scary, as if  he will drain out all the blood from the body of that person who tries to mess with him. She shivered thinking of that.

"Ye kya hua.. dono seniors aise kyu lad rahe the?" Naina asked a second year cadet.

"Yupe that too from same blood... hamara reaction bhi yahi tha, they both are Prince of Barmer, ye dono ki jodi Ram-Lakhan ki nahi, balki Kaurav-Pandav ki hai... hamesha se dono ke beech competition raha hai best ban ne ka... Jiska end aj tak nahi hua, badi hi nafrat hai dono bhaiyo ke beech"

"Aisa bhi kya hua hai dono ke beech..." She asked thoughtfully not able to take it.

"Don't know, but suna hai army me ane se pehle Rajveer was an alcoholic, aye din gundagardi aur maar pitai me lage rehna.... Humne to ye bhi suna hai ki... He was... A Playboy, ladkia to uske liye mano jaise kapde ho, har roz uske sath nayi ladki hoti thi..." Naina was not able to digest all these facts about him, she can't even picture him like that.

"Are you sure ye sab sach hai...?" Naina asked being unsure. She needs to know everything about him as she started to feel something special for him, she can't take risk.

"Pata nahi bas suna hai ye sab... Alekh sab janta hai he is the closest to Rajveer uske bachpan ka dost jo hai, magar ek chiz aur hai..." Naina listens her carefully.

"Humne kabhi Rajveer ko ladkiyo ki disrespect karte nahi dekha hai.. he is quit respectful with them". Naina felt a bit satisfied hearing this, still she needs confirmation? But Who will clear all her doubts? After witnessing his rowdy Avatar, she is little bit scared to go in front of him. What she should do now?

Naina was strolling on ground of academy, she don't have any class for the day now. She was pondering over the things she saw and heard today. These revelation isn't letting her live in peace. What is true and to what extent she wasn't able to decide.

"Aj ayi nahi tum, Apne doubts lekar" Rajveer said leaning against a tree.

Naina was left alarmed finding him here without any notice, oh how can she forget, he is a human-vampire who can teleport anywhere he wants to

"nahi aj... Koi doubts nahi the" she said averting her eyes from him.

"Lekin tumhari shakal to kuch aur hi keh rahi hai.." he said looking at her intently.

"Nahi wo bas.... Kuch, I mean.. I was a little.. um disturbed" she blurted. Now what will she say when he will ask her the reason of her disturbed state.

"Yahi soch ke na... Ki jo tumne mere bare me suna hai, wo kitna sach hai or kitna jhut" he calmly said.

Naina was surprised, how does he know what she was thinking over, he came near her, she looks down at ground "tumhe mujhse darne ki zarurat nahi hai Naina, I will never hurt you... You have my words, tum jo chaho jab chaho... Mujhse bina kisi hichak ke puch sakti ho... I give you that right to question me".

Her heart warmed at his gesture of honesty, now she was sure, whatever she heard today was just a rumour about him, he can never be like that what they displayed him to be. She smiled.

"Jo tumne mere bare mein suna... Wo sab sach hai" her heart skipped a beat "yes, I was dependent on alcohol to forgot my sorrow and became an alcoholic, I used to be a rowdy and can become the same any time again.... And yes, I used girls like tissue to full fill my sexual desires, it was all give and take business.. nothing serious" she felt her heart breaking into pieces after his one by one confession. Her eyes brimmed.

"But I changed naina" her eyes roses at him "I changed myself, because of one promise I made to my mother.. to leave my old ways of living... But one there is a one promise I couldn't keep, I can't leave my anger, that's the only thing which kept me alive" there was a long silence between them, no one speak anything.

"It's your life naina, and it's your decision... If you want to maintain distance from me.. you can, I'll understand that... But if you wants to stay, then think twice before taking this decision... Once you are in my life, I'll never let you go from it" he left giving her his last words before letting her make decision.

"Why me..." She speak from behind "why did you give me the right to question you" she asks.

He eplied after a pause "because You reminds me of my mother Naina, Pure and innocent... You are just like her but at the same time....... I don't want you to be like her". He left. Why is he so confusing, he seems like a mystery which she is trying to solve but instead she herself is getting strangled in it.

He was sitting inside the empty classroom with his eyes closed. He was questioning himself, why did he revealed all those things to Naina, it will push her away from his.

The other side of his mind replied that it is best for her to make decision on her own only if she knows the truth.

His mind questioned again, then why not the whole truth.. why didn't you tell her the whole truth?

His mind debated,  It wasn't the right thing to do yet. Let her know him properly first. I will tell her when the right time comes.

His other side taunted, as if she'll come to you after knowing the scandalous reality of your life.

He was debating with himself whether he did right or wrong, his fight with himself ended when he, heard footsteps of someone nearing him.

"Aaj ke doubts clear kar le?" her melodious voice, put an end to his conflict with himself, he finally took the breath of relief, after all it's not the end.
