"Aap hume yaha akele chhod kar jayege.." she asks with tears.

"Nahi Naina... Bhabisa hai na yaha
, Wo har waqt tumhare sath rahengi" he consoles her.

"Lekin aap to nahi honge na... Hume nahi rehna apke bina.. apne sath le chaliye hume" she pleads.

He sighs "chahta to mein bhi yahi hu.. lekin Naina tumhara iss halat mein mere sath chalna thik nahi hoga".

"Kuch nahi hoga hume.. ab bas hume apne sath le chaliye .." she went hysterical "hamara yaha apke bina dam ghut jayega".

He sat down near her taking her hands in his "thik hai.. le chalunga" she becomes happy "lekin kya tum kabhi apne aap ko maaf kar payogi.. agar iss sab ke beech hamare bacche ko kuch ho gaya to?"

She went silent, she realised what she was asking for in her haste "apka jana zaruri hai kya? Mat jaiye..." she asks softly, her eyes pleading.

He looks at her silently for a while then spoke "mein baba ka kaha taal nahi sakta aur ye akhri baar hai Naina, jo mein unki baat maan raha hu..." He said sternly.

"Aap wapas to ayenge na" her shivering voice brings him back.

"Bilkul... Mein wapas aunga... Or tumhe le jaunga yaha se ... sath me apne bacche ko bhi, bas kuch waqt ki baat hai.. ye waqt bhi nikal jayega, jab tak hamara baccha iss duniya me na ajaye.. tumhara yahi rehna thik hoga" she keeps her head on his shoulder taking in his essence, don't know when she'll be able to sit like this with him.

Time was passing very slowly as snail's speed. Naina was in the 8th month of her pregnancy. Without Rajveer everything seems meaningless, she felt a hollow in her heart in his absence, always staying gloomy and aloof. She is bearing everything just for the sake of her unborn or else she would have left everyone behind with him.

She was taking light walk after lunch when she heard loud voices coming out of Abhimanyu's room. She went near his door and saw him talking on telephone.

"Naina hamari patni hai apse pehle  hamara unse rishta hai...hume mat sikhaiye ki hume apni patni ka khayal kaise rakhna hai Rajveer" Abhimanyu said in irritation.

"Patni?" Rajveer laughed from other side "Ye shabd tumhare muh se acha nahi lagta hai, kaunsa zimedar pati hai jo apni hi patni ko kisi or mard ke sath sone ke liye majboor kare? Tumhari kami, tumhari kamzor, tumhari majboori, tumhari galtiyo ki saza wo masoom kyu bhugte? Kya galti hai uski yahi ki wo ek anath hai!!! Kab tak usey iss sone ke pinjre mein kaid rakhoge? Jaise hi mein wapas aunga... Le jaunga apni Naina ko aur apne bacche ko..." Rajveer said in stern voice.

"Aap aisa kuch nahi kar sakte hai, samjhe! Wo baccha hamara hai... App unhe kahi nahi le ja sakte aur na hi Naina ko... apka unme se kisi par koi hak nahi.." Abhimanyu said in his ego and cuts the call.

"Lekar jayenge!" He said in sarcasm "wo kehta hai ki Naina aur bacche ko yaha se le jayega... Suna apne MaaSa" Abhimanyu said to his mother who was also present there.

Gayatri Devi smirks "kehne do usey, kehne se kya hota hai... Lekar to tab jayega na.. jab yaha pahonch payega" she looks at Abhimanyu maliciously.

"Kya matlab?" He was confused.

She turns to look at the other side of his room "aksar aye din fauji shaheed hote rehte hai... Ek aur ho jaye to kya fark padta hai" she then looks at Abhimanyu "ha fark bas itna hoga ki, wo shahadat, hum usey denge".

Naina felt earth slipping beneath her feets, she stumbles back few steps. She wasn't able to breath properly and was sweating profusely as the fear was gripping her from all over... What if she isn't able to see him again? The the thought in itself was giving her thousand deaths. The moments they spend together flashes before her eyes. She gave a loud painful scream as her contractions starts to kick in.

Sunidhi who was passed from there saw her vulnerable state, clutching her bump writhing in pain. Sunidhi runs to her, holding her. "Naina.." she said in panick.

Hearing the commotion Abhimanyu and his mother too came there "kya hua inhe" Gayatri asked.

"MaaSa, lagta hai waqt agaya hai..." Sunidhi said in panicked state.

"Are to yaha khadi khadi kya kar rahi ho.. jakar dai ko bulaiye" she barked orders as usual.

Sunidhi tries to leave but Naina clutched her hand tightly not letting her go. She again screamed taking his name in fear and pain "Rajveerrrr...." She was yearning for him. For his safety.

"Abhimanyu.. sambhaliye inhe.. or kamre me lakar jaiye.. hum dai ko bulwate hai", Gayatri said.

Abhimanyu was about to touch her but Naina pushed him away, looking at  him with intense eyes which turned red mostly in hatred for him. For a moment Abhimanyu was startled to see those emotions in his eyes. He couldn't approch her to help.

Sunidhi saw a maid and calls her "Kesar, jaldi yaha aa... Naina ko kamre tak lekar chalna hai" she quickly comes there and took Naina in her room with difficulty.

Sunidhi was patting her head as her breath was getting laboured, her facial muscles were stretched and turned red due to continues screaming and whimpering, she was in great pain. Mental and physical both.

"Gehri sansein lene ki koshish keejiye... Sab theek ho jayega.. abhi bas dai ane hi wali hogi.." her heart wrenching watching her state.

Naina shook her head "Raj....Raj.....Rajv....." She said with difficulty.

"Haa.. hum devarsa ko bata denge.. ap chinta mat keejiye... Unhe hum jald se jald ane ko kehte hai..." She was about to leave when Naina caught her hand.

"Raj...Wo...Rajvee.. unki..." Words were not coming out of her mouth due to continues contractions, she withers in pain.

"Hum bata denge Naina ap chinta mat keejiye.. hum apke pas hai, kahi nahi ja rahe jab tak Rajveer na ajaye.." she said wiping the sweat from her face.

Naina again shook her head in frustation "jeeji....kha...tra... Rajveer.... Jaan .." her scattered words startled her, she was trying to join them together trying to analyse it's meaning when Naina's few more uttered words joined the dots. Sunidhi felt disgusted, how low these people can stoop.

She patted Naina's head assuring her and left the room as Dai, arrived. She has another important matter to look after, her eyes growling anger.

She barges inside his room like storm "aur kitna neeche girenge aap" he turns to look at her "Kunwar Abhimanyu Rai Chauhan". He was shocked to see her like this "kya hadh hai apki?".

"Kehna kya chahti hai aap, ab kya pareshani hai apko humse" He asked arrogantly.

"Pareshani? Hume kya pareshani hogi, Kunwar.. mahal ki Rani hai hum.. pure aisho aram se hai.. Kunwar ne hume sare sukh jo de rakhe hai" she taunts him.

"Agar apko yahi bakwas karni hai to hamare pas waqt nahi hai... Hume aur bhi bahot se kaam hai... " He was about to leave.

"Jaise ki Rajveer ki wapas na lautne ki taiyyari... Unki maut ki taiyyari" she said every word sternly, halting him in between.

"Ye kya bol rahi hai aap..." His tone changed "bhale hi lakh shikwe ho hamare beech magar bhai hai wo hamare... Aisa hum karne ke bare me soch bhi nahi sakte" he was amazed.

"Ap aur apki Maa kya kar sakte hai aur kya nahi.. hum sab ache se jante hai" she said in disgust. "Naina ne ap dono ki baatein sunli thi, isiliye unki halat aisi ho gayi, ye sab apki wajah se"

Abhimanyu sighed "aisa kuch nahi hai".

Sunidhi looks at him in disbelief "kam se kam humse jhut to mat boliye... Naina ne sab.."

"Naina ne jo suna wo adha sach tha... Ha hum Rajveer ko Barmer wapas nahi ane denge.. hum unhe wahi Afghanistan me kaid karke rakhenge... Aur baki duniya ke liye wo ek Shaheed kehlayenge... Unki maut sirf ek dikhawa hogi aur kuch nahi.." he spoke casually.

She keeps on looking at him in amazement then her expression turns into defeat "ye baat apko mamuli lagti hai.. ap jante hai ki iska asar Naina par..."

She was interrupted when Maid arrives there announcing "Badhai ho Kunwar, Choti Rani ne Bete Ko janam diya hai" she left informing.

Abhimanyu's face turned delightful "Sunidhi... Sunidhi suna apne... Hum.. hum Baba ban gaye hai... Hume beta hua hai...".

"Apko nahi.. Rajveer ko, Rajveer pita bane hai, ap nahi" she said giving him reality check.

He was still adamant "duniya ke liye hum hi iss bacche ke pita hai aur rahenge... Ye hamara baccha hai.. Rajveer ka koi hak nahi iss par... Aur ab aap chup rahengi samjhi". He warns her.

"Chup rahe..? Kab tak?" She questions "Hum chup rahe jab apne apki sacchai humse chupai, apki kheej sehte rahe magar chup rahe, apne apni manmani ki hum chup rahe, logo ne hum par ilzaam lagaye hum chup rahe, Naina se apne shaadi ki sacchai jante huye bhi hum chup rahe, Rajveer aur Naina ke samne wo ghinoni shart rakhi hum chup rahe, apne do pyaar karne walo ko alag kar diya hum chup rahe.. lekin aj aj apne bardasth ki sari seemaye paar kardi hai, aj aap ek bacche se uske pita ka saaya dur kar rahe hai... Aaj hum chup nahi rahenge.. ab bahot ho gaya hai". He could sense a dangerous aura around her.

She was about to leave when he held her arm angrily "kya karengi aap.. haa sabko batayengi.. ki Naina ne jis bacche ko janam diya wo hamara nahi Rajveer ka hai? Aisa karne se hum par nahi log un dono par ungli uthayenge unke rishte ko gaali denge". He tries to scare her off.

"To dene dijiye... jab do log ek dusre se pyaar karte hai na to unhe logo ki baton se fark nahi padta... Waise bhi hum jante hai Rajveer aur Naina ko iss se koi fark nahi padega.. unke liye kuch keemti hai to unka sath.. hum bateyenge sabko ki sacchai kya hai" she strides out of his room.

Abhimanyu came behind her and spoke in anger "ha jaiye.. bata dijiye sabko sach kya hai.. magar yaad rakhiyega.. iss sab ke baad bhi Rajveer wapas nahi ayenge... kisi ko unke hone na hone ke bare me bhanak tak nahi lagegi. Fir dekhte hai hum, kya hota hai Naina ka aur unke bacche ka.." he blackmails her.

This was it, Sunidhi turns and looks at him with all lost hopes. There is no turning back now. Is this the same person who couldn't bear a single line of worry on her face and now making her cry tears of blood. Where is that man with whom she fell in love? She don't know this man. He is selfish, egoistic and self centred person who only knows to destroy other's happiness just to fulfill his manly ego.

She nods her head "galati hui hamse.. hume maaf kijiye" he smiles in victory "bahot badi galati hui... Jo ap jaise insan se pyaar kiya..umeed ki.. bharosa kiya.. maaf keejiyega hume... Apko pehchan ne mein bhul hui...". His smile vanished as his heart starts to beat loudly, her eyes indicating danger.

"Nidhi....." He gasps.

She smiles sadly "kabhi acha lagta tha apke hotho se apna naam sun na... Aj ghin ati hai..." She said going far away from him. "Apke ghamand aur ahankar ko tod nahi paye hum.. balki iss koshish mein khud hi bikhar kar reh gaye". She felt defeated. "Magar hum apni galati sudharenge"

"Kya karne wali hai app?" His senses alerting him about coming up danger but his legs went freez on the spot seeing her. She was not looking like herself as if some unusual power possessed her.

She was stepping away "hamara pyaar apko sahi raste par nahi la paya... Na apse pyaar karna chhod sakte na apse aur pyaar karne ki himmat... Isiliye behtar yahi hoga.. ki hum iss pyaar ke kisse ko hi khatm kar de".

His was horrified with her talks "Nidhi.. nahi ...nahi wapas aiye.." she stood near balcony's railing.

"Umeed hai apko fir kabhi na dekhe" she looks in his eyes and jumps from there.

"Nidhiiii..." He gave a heart wrenching scream as he saw her fall in front of his eyes, he ran at the place where she was standing few seconds ago. With fear he looks down the sight he saw turned him cold and shivering.. It broke him completely from within along with his ego and selfishness. Her body lying in the blood of her own blood.... lifeless.
