Patterns
We follow patterns
We do not know
Easily, like clockwork
When I crawl into bed
I wipe my feet on the carpet
So nothing gets into the sheets
One pillow lays, memory foam and stiff
A tiny pillow between it and the gap
Of the headboard
The other pillows stacked on the right
The tiny and floppy ones
Stacked under to support
The normal, fluffy pillow
That slopes downwards towards
The pillow on the left
I fall asleep on my side
Head on the left
Left hand stretched wide
Left leg pulled up and curved underneath
Right leg straight as a light pole
Right hand underneath my head
The blanket is bundled up and around me
Not tucked in to the bed frame
But kicked to it wraps around my feet
These are patterns I follow every night
Everyone does it all the time
So what do you do?
