gally when he sees you enter the keepers' meeting. you and him had just broken up recently. things weren't necessarily working out between you two, so you took the immediate decision to end it. you both came to a mutual agreement, as well. but, gally had lied to himself about missing you. because, god, did he miss you.

it wasn't until newt nudged him. he was staring at you. something he'd usually do when he saw you around the glade or just when you're by his side. newt smirked at him and his lovesturck gaze he had for you. gally noticed newt's stare, and rolled his eyes.

"usually gally, when you're over someone,
you don't pine for them anymore."

"if you knew them like i did, newt, you'd look at them everyday and never take your eyes off 'em."
