Jungkook's phone lights up for the hundredth time that day, this time indicating a call from Hye soo, his ex wife.

Hye soo rarely calls him, unless it's something important. Sighing into his empty car, Jungkook picks up the phone,
"Hye soo?"
"Jungkook where are you? Ji hye's teacher called me for the third time now and it's been almost two hours since school finished. You didn't forget about her, did you?"
Hye soo sounds so worried and Jungkook already feels the guilt bubbling within him.
"I'm on my way Hye soo. Had an important meeting in the evening." He didn't miss the faint sigh at the other end. "Okay.."
Hye soo says, the disappointment in her voice noticeable.
"...drop her off at my father's place. I'll pick her up in the evening."
and she ends up the phone call just like that, without waiting for Jungkook to reply.

He can't blame Hye soo for for being disappointed. He can't blame Hye soo for anything actually. It's his fault from the beginning. He's the one who had been incapable of standing on his own. He's the one who depended on the others for success. And he's the one who ruined her life. He regrets his past actions. He regrets them everyday, but he's selfish. He's selfish when it comes to love .

It all began four years ago when he met this one person. Park Jimin.

A small, fair employee who was very sacred of Jungkook and stuttering every time he addressed the young boss. The twenty years old Jungkook was attracted to this man from their first meet and got closer to him each passing day until a month later they were savouring each other on Jimin's small bed. Both of them were aware of the sin they are committing for Jungkook was already a married man, but none of them had the will power to deny the attraction they felt towards each other.

It didn't take much time for Jungkook to fall in love, but had no idea that Jimin felt the same way for him. With each passing night, Jungkook's love for him never ceased, but only grew more and that's when he started to hate his life.
He can never say 'I love you' to Jimin, for it's going to sound so wrong as he already got a wife.
He can never spend the night with Jimin and wake him up with kisses next morning.
He can never hold hands with Jimin's and walk on streets.
Jimin was his guilty pleasure.
His secret lover.
Lover isn't the accurate word though, for Jimin never voiced out his feelings which still remains a question to Jungkook. Jimin never complained about being used which comforted Jungkook in a way and consumed him from guilt at  the same time. He wanted to leave his wife and run to Jimin, but he couldn't.
He couldn't because their marriage itself was a business contract and he'll loose everything he worked for if he breaks off their ties.
So Jungkook started developing the business on his own, creating a name for himself and earning quite a lot of supporters in the process. He wanted a happy life with Jimin and for that, he was willing to risk it all.

He was so close to achieving success when Jimin decided to leave him without a word. It was completely unexpected. The only thing he received from Jimin was a simple resignation letter and the next moment, he was gone.
Months Jungkook had spent searching for his lover, but failed to find a single trace of him. And that's when Jungkook decided to end things with his wife. He got the divorce papers signed, agreed on attending to her financial needs, but little did he knew about his wife's condition as they ended their marriage.
Hye soo was two months pregnant with their child.

Things would have been different if he was aware of this beforehand, but he wasn't. And it's too late already. He can't remarry that woman, nor can he face both families. He was lost. So lost in regretting over his past. So lost in regretting over every choice he made in life. So lost in regretting over meeting Jimin.. and letting him go. So lost in regretting over everything to the point he had lost the ability to think straight. So he leaves Hye soo with the burden of their child, Ji hye.
