I looked at myself in the full length mirror in my room, 'perfect'  was the only comment I had on my appearance. I wore my favorite jeans and a black crop top turtleneck, so my stomach was bare. My long black hair was laying on my shoulders, and this time didn't look as messy as before.

I grabbed my red backpack and was about to go downstairs but returned to let Monte know that we have to leave now.

"I did not agree to give you a ride, fat girl." Monte commented as he was sitting on the upper stairs of the staircase.

"If you still don't want to help me then I won't buy you any pate from now on, I warned you" I sneaked a smile as I walked towards the kitchen.

It was eight forty five on the kitchen clock, I felt anxious, if Monte would not agree to help then I will surely be late to school. I hoped to start it nicely and get some new friends, but I feel like my hopes might get ruined because of Monte.

I grabbed a bread with jam and told my mom I'm leaving, and was wondering if she even heard me leaving as she was watching her favorite morning TV show. I was about to close the door as I noticed something  huge dashing towards me from the staircase, and I sharply shut the door close out of surprise.

A  loud noise echoed from the door as something crushed into it, and that my mom surely heard as she was yelling on Monte not to run around the house in his panther form and how dangerous it was.

In a few minutes Monte got thrown out of the house in his cat form and he looked exhausted as if my mom drained all the energy he had stored for his entire life spam. I chuckled at the sight and picked him up.

"Decided to help me out?" I asked him as I was walking towards the gate.

Monte only looked away and did not reply on that.

We live out of town, in order to avoid other people knowing about Monte, when he was small he used to run away in his panther form and that made it complicated for us to stay in the city. My parents decided to move out and bought this farm house that is located half an hour on a car from the city. The place is isolated and has a huge field and even a forest nearby, Enough space for Monte to stretch his legs. 

I glanced at my watch, ten minutes until nine, that is gonna be a bit tricky, hopefully Monte doesn't lie about his super speed. He never allowed me to ride on his back, and when I tried forcefully to do so, he would throw me off his back and it did not end well for me.

"Monte, it's time to rush now, don't forget that your pate is on the stake here, you better not drop me off your back." I said and put him on the ground after I closed the gate after us.

"Whatever, how can you even treat me like that? I'm not some public bus that anyone can ride on." Monte was definitely pouting, but still morphed to his panther form. "Cast the spell already, aren't you late?"

I softly smiled and started casting one of the basic spells for invisibility.

" Inuisibilitas" I said the spell and a sudden bright golden light surrounded us,  covered our bodies and then vanished into the air and so did we.

"Monte, are you still where you used to be?" I chuckled and tried to find where he is  by stretching my arm towards where he stood a second ago. Monte reached me as I was about to take another step forward.

"Get on and don't make me regret it." hissed Monte.  And as soon as I got up I tightened my grip around his neck.

"You better  hold super tight, I did not lie when I said that I am fast." said Monte and dashed towards the city.
