Nadia lay upon her bed, tears silently streaking down her bruised face. She felt sore all over and she shivered as she noticed the blood upon the coverlet.   Odin had his way, it was over now. She should have known she wouldn't be able to escape the God of frenzy and war.

Her eyes snapped open, anger flaring where there had only been misery. She sat up on the bed, flinching as her aching muscles protested. She pulled the remains of her shredded dress from her body. Standing naked before the gilded mirror she inventoried her many bruises." He will pay for this." She thought darkly as she strode to her wardrobe. She donned a long black chiffon dress, then dark fabric making her raven hair glitter almost blue in contrast. She pulled on a pair of black leather gloves next, flexing her fingers into a fist within the sturdy leather. Next she slipped her feet into a sturdy pair of boots and then with a swish she donned her black cloak once again.
She flung open the french doors and glided out onto the balcony. She fled into the night her raven hair and black cloak a shadow within the darkness.

She had begun to cry again, the tears blurring her eyes as she stumbled up the mountain pass. Fenrirs cave was just ahead. He 'wuffed' a greeting and then licked her tearstained face, his large tongue soaking the front of her dress in the process. Nadia flung herself into the fur of his large chest. She sobbed until she had no more tears and then she steadied herself and pushed away. She went to the large ring that secured the chain to the mountain side. She pulled a rusty key from her cloak and shoved it into the bracken filled padlock. There was a muted click and the deceptively thin chain fell away. Fenrir wagged his tail. "It is time my friend, make him pay." Fenrir growled low is his throat as he began to lope towards Asgard.

Nadia smiled. The battle had begun. When they had chained Fenrir due to the prophecy, nobody had mentioned she would be the reason the beast devoured Odin.
