Childhood Friend Ruby x Male Amnesiac Reader x Best Friend Sarvente Part 1

(This is how I imagine you looking in the story, this is optional, you can make up your own look, it's just here if you want)
This is part 1 of 3:
------------------
I don't own the art in this book:
Your POV:

It was Saturday morning and like everyday you got up extra early and made your bed.

You lived in a church run by your best friend Sarvente or Sarv if you prefer.

A third occupant named Ruv also lived here and acted as a sort of guard for anyone wishing to cause trouble around here.

You worked as a custodian, not exactly a glamorous position you find yourself in, but hey, you have a roof over your head, rent free so long as you did your job and the company of your friends.

Especially Sarv, ever since your mom died she'd been a constant presence to help you get through it.

You two met at the funeral, she saw you needed help and offered you a place at the church since you had nowhere to go.

Your mother died from a terminal illness and that left you alone and jobless, so Sarv finding you was in her own words "God's plan."

You weren't a religious person, but it really seemed that meeting her was fate.

It was rough adjusting at first, but you've made yourself at home.

Sarv was as sweet as the ice cream she looked like...if you didn't make her mad, she was actually a Demon after all

And despite Ruv being a rather intimidating individual was pretty cool once you got through his hard shell.

Once your bed was done and you put on your clothes and headed off to start your job in the main hall of the church.

But before reaching there you grabbed the cleaning supplies and dragged them to the main hall.

Once there you began to start by sweeping any dust on the floor with the broom.

As you kept sweeping you heard the sound of footsteps coming and unsurprisingly came Sarvente in her full Nun outfit

Sup Sarv. You greeted with a warm smile which she returned.

Greetings (Y/N), up early as usual I see? She stated.

Yeah, tomorrow's Sunday, so gotta make sure this place is spotless for everyone. You replied continuing to sweep.

You're always up before everyone else to clean, don't you think that's a bit much? She asked concerned.

Nope, not at all, I clean early so I can get time to myself for most of the day, besides I'm staying here rent-free, it's the least I could do. You explained.

Oh alright, but please don't push yourself too hard okay. She said and you nodded.

"I won't"

Good, and during your free time I'd like to show you something if you don't mind. She requested making you raise a brow.

Sure, but what is it? You asked curiously.

That's a surprise. She said with a wink making you even more confused, but decided to shrug it off.

Alright, I'll be looking forward to it. You said knowing Sarv wouldn't expose any kind of secret she kept unless pushed too far.

And the last thing you wanted was to push her.

Like last time when a Blue-haired midget and his Girlfriend showed up once and pissed Sarv off to the point she revealed her Demonic side.

In fact that's how you found out about her Demon form.

Flashback:

Okay everyone, I'm back and I bought the groceries. You said nonchalantly as you opened the church's front doors.

Only to be met with the sight of the church pillars destroyed, the walls broken down to reveal some kind of ruin or glyph, 2 little people, Ruv watching this all transpire from the corner.

However what surprised you the most was Sarv in a...shall we say interesting form.

When the Demon/Nun saw you had entered she gained a look of worry and sadness.

"Oh no" She thought having forgotten you could have been back any minute after getting wrapped up in her little rap battle with this short individual.

Out of all people she didn't want you to find out about this side of her.

(Y-Y/N)...it's...I-I...uh...th-this...isn't...um Sarv kept trying to say only to stutter more incomprehensibley.

You looked up at her as she was currently hovering in the air and then stared at the 2 other individuals.

What happened? You asked the blue-haired boy.

"Beep Bop Brap Bippity Bo!" He beeped and you stared.

Okay, didn't catch any of that...You turned to the girl. "Can you translate that for me?"

Oh, we were just looking for the bathroom when this Nun tried to get us to join her church, we said no, so...You cut her off by raising your hand.

Alright, no need to explain any further, I get it. You sighed and walked pass them." The Bathroom's just down the hall to the left."

Thank You! Girlfriend shouted before bolting in the direction you mentioned as you stared at Boyfriend.

"Bop Beep Bo." Boyfriend Beeped. ("Hey she never said who needed to use the bathroom.)

You just stared and said:

" Yeah, still didn't get any of that."

You then turned to Sarvente who was now on the ground and looking down in shame as you walked over to her.

You understood that Sarv was..."passionate" about helping spread the word of the Lord, but maybe a little too passionate.

She really needed to learn that no means no sometimes.

However, right now you had bigger issues, like calming this situation down or trying to grasp the irony of a Demon Nun.

(Y/N)...I-I'm...so sorry...you found out like this...She managed to stutter out still looking down not being able to look you in the eyes.

All you did was stand before her and place the groceries on the floor.

Your silence was driving Sarv crazy, honestly it was worse than if you just screamed in fear or ran away.

I-I...didn't...I didn't want you finding out about this at all. She spoke softly and you just sighed and stared at her.

Before she could say anything else, she felt a hand upon her head and she looked up in surprise to see you patting her head.

Just so you know, I am not cleaning this up. You stated casually making her confused. "I'm a custodian, not a construction worker."

Y-you aren't mad? Sarv asked surprised and very much relieved.

Why should I be? You asked with a smile.

Huh? She asked again as you wiped away the tears she had no idea were flowing out of her eyes.

Look, I can see why you kept this a secret from me, I mean I can't really blame you for thinking I'd freak out. You chuckled. "But I'm not gonna judge you or leave because of this."

Really? The Demon Nun asked.

I don't think I have the right to. You continued making her even more confused.

You took me in when I hit a low point, gave me comfort when I needed it and basically ensured I could survive. You explained before pulling her into a hug.

Her wings flared up and stiffened in surprise at this, but eventually she melted into the embrace and wrapped her wings around you for comfort.

But, I really think you should stop being so forceful with people who aren't interested in joining your church. You explained.

Sarv grumbled a bit, but understood you were right and nodded.

Could you help me with that? She asked softly.

After everything you did for me, how could I say no. You replied hugging her tighter

I'm back. Girlfriend announced and noticed you and Sarv's embrace and smiled.

He managed to calm her down, that's sweet. She stated.

"Beep." Boyfriend replied in agreement.

Okay you two, I think it'd be best if you both leave. Ruv stated suddenly pointing to the door, one of the few things left standing.

You don't have to tell us twice. Girlfriend replied before grabbing Boyfriend's hand and dragging him out.

When they left, Ruv let out a sigh of relief.

Those 2 made him feel rather uneasy, especially the girl.

However these thoughts were brushed aside as he returned his gaze to the heartwarming scene before him and smiled.

Ever since you came to this church you've had an overall positive effect around here.

The place was cleaner, the overall hassel of maintaining it was lessened and you helped brighten their moods considerably.

Ruv was honestly surprised at how much positivity you brought them considering how depressed you were from the start.

Ruv could've sworn he saw a raincloud over your head the first day,
hell you never left your room.

He really wasn't sure if you'd come around, but Sarv never lost hope, it was her choice to help you and she wouldn't go back on that.

Thankfully her hard work payed off and you were able to smile again, now it was your turn to help her.

I'm still not cleaning this. You said suddenly.

I know. Was Sarv's just as quick response.

Flashback Over:
Luckily the Church was ensured and was able to be rebuilt, so no harm done really.

You came through on your promise as well, having helped Sarv be less forceful with trying to get people to join her church.

You also found out both she and Ruv were centuries old as Ruv fromed a contract with her for immortality and in exchange he would protect her.

They were childhood friends too and much to your surprise...they were not a couple.

Funny right? You think the two of them after being together for so long would have gotten together a very long time ago but...guess not.

Anyway, that's enough backstory, time to focus on cleaning.

Meanwhile:
Sarv breathed in deeply to calm her rapid heartbeat.

She was in Hall A sitting on a bench as you cleaned and Ruv walked in to see his childhood friend, her face pinker than usual due to her blush.

So, are you going to ask him out or what? He asked with a raised brow.

I plan to once he's finished cleaning. She replied.

Alright, where are you going? Ruv asked sitting beside her.

Oh you remember those two that came by? Sarv asked. The little blue haired boy and the girl in the red dress?

Yeah. Ruv replied with a raised brow.

Well they came back a few days ago and gave me these tickets to a concert that's happening today. She replied showing two tickets.

Starlight Mayhem huh, I heard about that. The Russian stated. "Hope you two hit it off."

Do you have any tips for me? She asked hopefully. It's my first date and I think it'd be great to get a boy's opinion.

Um...Ruv said giving her an uncertain look: "For the record we both know I'm not good at stuff like this right?"

The Nun let out a sigh. "I know, but I'd still like your advice.

The Russian let out a sigh and began to think.

Just be yourself. He replied and Sarv gave him this look in response.

Really? She asked flatly.

Yes really, your great. Ruv insisted crossing his arms with a smile. "Believe me I've known you for a long time."

I just don't know. Sarv sighed staring at the tickets.

You and Sarv have grown close over the course of your stay, you would spend much time together, but it was only the moment you accepted her fully.

Demon and all, that she realized she wanted to be more than friends with you.

She loved you dearly, but was afraid she'd ruin the friendship she managed to develop with you by making everything awkward.

Don't overthink it, even if he doesn't feel the same which I doubt, I'm sure he won't overreact and think less of you. Ruv reassured placing a hand on her shoulder.

Your probably right, but it's still nerve-wracking. She said now clutching the tickets close to her chest.

It'll be fine Sarv, just go out and have a good time, and whatever happens happens y'know. Ruv continued and it made Sarv actually feel a small bit better.

Thank you Ruv, you really are a big softie under that hard shell aren't you? Sarv teased making Ruv cover his face with the fluff of his coat to hide his blush.

W-whatever...just glad I could help out. He said trying to maintain his tough guy persona.

This made Sarv giggle.

But seriously, thanks for making me feel better. She said sincerely and giving him a hug and after a while he returns it.

Later:
You had finally finished cleaning the church and it was still surprisingly early in the day.

After taking a bath and putting on some new clothes, You remembered Sarv had something to show you and decided to go find her.

You found her room door and knocked.

Sarv, I'm done, you had something to show me? You asked knocking on her door.

Just a second (Y/N), I'll be out soon. Her voice came from the other side and you waited.

A bit later, Sarv stepped out of her room in a new outfit.

Just ignore the Horns:( She's so damn cute!)

You did not know what to say at the beauty before you.

You rarely got to see Sarv out of her Nun outfit and even though she's still as beautiful as ever in it, it always surprised you just how good she could look in other outfits.

W-wow...Sarv...You said with a red blush.

Yes (Y/N)? She asked with a bit of a blush and a shy smile placing both her hands in her jean pockets.

I-I...I just keep...forgetting how pretty you are. You managed to stutter out making Sarv blush even harder.

Oh you're too sweet. She said placing a hand on her cheek.

Says the girl who looks like Ice cream. You retorted making her giggle.

Is this what you wanted to show me? You asked rubbing the back of her head. Cause if you wanna know if that outfit suits you, it does...it really does.

W-well, I...um actually wanted to show you this. Sarv said remembering the reason for all this and pulled out the tickets to the Starlight Mayhem concert.

Concert tickets? You asked curiously.

Yeah...I-I...wanted to see if...you'd l-like to...accompany me. She offered.

The blush on her face increased tenfold as she let out that sentence.

You stared for a second before replying.

"I'd love to."

Oh wow, alright, let's head out then shall we? She asked.

What about the Church? You asked.

Oh, Ruv will watch the place until we get back. Sarv assured.

Alright then...You said holding out your hand for her to take. Let's go then.

The Demon Nun smiled sweetly and gently took hold of your hand and both of you headed out to enjoy the concert.

Unbeknownst to the both of you however, that concert will reintroduce you to a part of your life you had forgotten quite some time ago.

I decided to split this oneshot into 3 parts making it essentially a this into a threeshot. The next chapter will be more focused on yours and Ruby's relationship and reveal a few details of your past.

Anyway, until I update this, I hope you enjoy part 1.
