I fell back onto my bed. How can I explain this without telling him my dream?
Right about now I'm glad my wings healed as I slept.
Having primordial blood and godly blood really speeds up healing. Especially when I'm sleeping.
"I'm waiting." Luke stood staring down at me.
"I had to." I blurted out without thinking it over.
"What!?" He looked at me alarmed.
"Dreams, Luke. When I was tortured he would sometimes place me in a fake reality. Then I would..." I trailed off. It's too horrible to say aloud.
"What would you do?" He gently pressed the topic.
I sat up staring straight into his eyes, "I would kill everyone I care about."
For some reason those dreams just randomly happen. They aren't every night. They actually happen really rarely.
"Percy." Luke sat next to me, wrapping an arm around me.
"I'm sorry Luke" I rested my head on his shoulder.
The thing is this dream was very specific.
And the person I killed first...was Luke.
"Just don't do it again. Tell us. Or pinch yourself." He turned his head.
"Okay."
The conch blew for lunch. Luke stood up before hoisting me up.
"Zoë might have to reveal herself. She was yelling at Dakota for disrespecting Artemis."
"And she slipped into old English?" He nodded.
I grabbed a cloak that actually had sleeves instead of a normal one that was just like a blanket with a hood.
"Bianca wants to reveal herself too. Her and Nico took on the skeleton warriors."
I fastened on my mask.
"Okay let's get to lunch." I looked up at Luke. Stupid height difference.
He smiled, "Proceed my fair commander."
Hitting him on the arm I walked out.
He closed the door behind him.
We walked side by side to the dining pavilion where everyone stared at us.
Bianca walked over. "Can I-"
I nodded my head. She squealed happily and hugged me. "Tell Stellar she can too."
Bianca ran over to her friend and 'sister' before dragging her to the front.
"Some of you wonder who we are. Well, our commander has given me and Stellar permission to reveal ourselves."
She smiled widely at me. "I am a demigod myself. I never attended as a camper. However I was a Hunter." She reached up and took off her mask.
Nico tumbled out of a shadow and tackled Bianca.
She was laughing wildly as she hugged her brother.
Standing she finally introduced herself. "I am Bianca di Angelo. Daughter of Hades."
She stepped backwards whispering to Nico. Zoë stepped forward.
"Some may know me. I was not a demigod. Nor mortal. I was the daughter of Atlas and the former Lieutenant of the Hunters." She took of her mask.
"I am Zoë Nightshade. Former Hesperide."
The entirety of the Hunters surged forward to embrace their former sister. Artemis even flashed in to hug one of her best friends.
The shadows darkened to reveal Hades. He hugged both of his children, after throwing a grateful look my way.
He never checks the lists.
I smiled before shaking my head.
Selena slid me a piece of paper.
Blackjack misses Percy. You ought to visit him.
I nodded. I miss that horse.
"I better not go. He probably hates me." Luke read the note over my shoulder.
"You are coming." I stood pulling Luke out.
We made our way to the stables, earning several stares from the campers.
"What are they looking at?" Luke asked.
"Don't know. Don't care." I stepped through the stable door, Luke trailing behind me.
I looked in each one looking for the pure black Pegasus I know so well.
Eventually I found him, he was laying on the ground, his wings hanging limp.
"Hey buddy." I said gently causing him to look up at me. He seemed confused by my presence.
Who is this? Boss would probably know. Now if I could kick her good for nothing brother in the teeth I would. A son of Poseidon who can't even hear us. Something isn't right about that.
I chuckled. "Well Blackjack. You're right about your boss knowing me. And I'm all for you kicking that brat in the teeth."
You can hear me? And you know Boss?!
I nodded. "Hey buddy. Can you carry us somewhere? I would normally fly myself but-" I moved my cloak to show a wing, still in the splint. Lee said to keep them on until tomorrow.
Yeah but can I get-
"You get donuts. And some information."
He perked up at that. I opened his stall door.
Walking out his nose twitched as he smelled the air.
I don't like that guy's scent. But I really want those donuts. And that information might be important. Like the next donut of the month.
I smiled and shook my head.
Luke put an arm around my shoulders, careful not to hit my wings. Oh come on I only have these things on because I'd get yelled at otherwise. "Where are we going?"
"Somewhere." I answered.
We were standing outside and Blackjack pawed the ground impatiently.
"We're coming." I walked over and ran a hand down his neck.
I threw my leg over his back, easily doing so because of years of practice.
Even after 5,000 years my memories of this place are fresh in my mind.
I helped Luke up, he was wary because of the last time he went to ride Blackjack.
He gingerly wrapped his arms around my waist.
Rolling my eyes I pulled his arms so they were tighter.
I looked over my shoulder at Luke. He was red. Why? It's not that hot out.
"You have to hold on. Don't want you falling off." I said looking forward.
Leaning forward I told Blackjack the destination.
Okay. But I better get those donuts.
So....
Where do you think they're going?
