I sighed and ran a hand over Percy's hair.
It's been a few days. And she still hasn't woken up.
Hades, she hasn't even moved.
I just have to hope she wakes up.
I don't want to a) lose her, B) deal with Chaos, and c) be responsible for the entire army.
Mainly...no all three of them.
"Luke."
I looked up to see...
"Hey Chaos."
He sighed and walked over to me, before placing a hand on my shoulder.
"I know you don't want me to heal her, because then I'd take her back to Chaon. But you have to remember that would only be for her own good."
"Yeah I know. If Percy's on Chaon it stabilizes her or whatever it was you told us."
"If I don't heal her Luke, she might not wake up."
Damn it.
I could almost hear Percy correcting me with a damn of her own.
Which nobody in the Elite understands.
I don't even know if Chaos knows.
I stared at Percy, taking in her pained face sweat trickling down as her body tried to fight off the infection.
Yeah...
Apparently Micheal and Lee didn't think about her getting an infection or anything.
Or maybe they weren't able to prevent one while healing her.
Or maybe it was a side effect of their healing magic combating the heal block Kronos used.
Anyway...back on topic.
This is all my fault.
If I had just paid more attention to all the signs...
If I had kept myself from getting close to her...
Chaos reached out a hand, which was glowing a gentle mix of lavender and silver, and placed it on Percy's forehead.
Then he looked at me. "Stop it. Luke stop it. Blaming yourself for something that wasn't your fault isn't going to help her."
He placed a hand on his face. "Now listen, Zeus was forced to call a council meeting detailing what happened with you. Percy would be the one to go, but as we both know she is in no condition to be doing anything."
Oh no.
"That means I have to go listen to them debate and argue about what happened." Great. Just please let me be wrong.
Please.
But Chaos nodded his head.
"Luke, grab your mask and put on your armor. You need to look like the second in command...not like a teenage boy who has stayed up for three days straight."
With that he waved his hand and I felt much more energized.
"Okay, for one. I'm in my twenties Chaos. Not exactly a teenager."
"You act like one. Now go get changed. I will only take her back to Chaon if I need to actually heal her. Right now I'm just boosting her immune system."
Oh thank you Chaos.
"You're welcome. Now go."
I nodded and walked out of Percy's room and into mine. Which I haven't really entered except to change into some fresh clothes.
So yeah...I don't need to make my bed. That's good right?
I changed into my armor.
Not battle armor.
Nope this is the stuff I have to wear when we attend meetings and stuff.
If you can't tell.
I hate it.
It serves no actual purpose than to look good.
But then again that describes the entire palace on Chaon so who am I to judge?
Walking over to the door I reached for the handle, only for the door to be opened from the other side.
And I totally didn't jump.
No.
I literally didn't jump.
You have no idea how many times this happens.
"You're ready?"
I nodded.
Chaos placed his hand on my shoulder. "Good luck and don't get killed."
"No promises."
Damn it. I sound like Percy.
Then without another word Chaos warped me to the throne room.
"Alpha. We are so happy that you could join us."
Wow. Thanks Athena.
Way to sound so enthusiastic.
I guess I know where Annabeth got it from.
"So... whatcha guys talking about?" I sat on the floor.
"You and your apparent betrayal of your own commander. I may be the god of thieves and liers and others. But that's low."
I glared at my dad. "Maybe if you would get my side of the story you would know that I was possessed by one of our enemies. And yes I do admit it may have been my fault for not recognizing that he was slowly gaining control over me, but I would never hurt Omega."
"How do we know you're telling the truth?" Athena questioned me.
I chuckled. "You have the god of truth right there and pretty much a god of lies. But if you don't want to go with the fact they haven't called me out...do you seriously think Chaos would let me live if I voluntary hurt the only child that he loves?"
What? It's obvious.
"Where is your commander anyway? i sent for her." Zeus boomed.
I sighed. "Resting. She's still in recovery."
You know what?
Chaos?
What is it Luke?! Are they trying to kill you?
No!
Then what is it?
Can I- Can I tell my dad?
I could sense him smiling.
Of course.
Thank you.
I opened my mouth to speak but I then realized during my mental conversation Athena proposed a motion.
"All in favor of killing the second in command of the Chaotic Elite known as Alpha?"
Well. Shit.
Okay so...
Guess what?
This book is exactly a year old.
Also we went up to Rockney's
And we forgot to grab our food...so yeah...
Probably wouldn't have eaten it anyway.
But now to type another chapter! Away! *Rides off on a flying bed for no apparent reason*
SEE YAH!!!
Actually wait...
do you guys remember that speech thing I had to do last year?
Guess who gets to do it again?
When my teacher told me this I looked her dead in the eye and said "kill me"
That's how much I hate this sort of stuff
So...
See yah. For real this time.
