I got two words to describe this situation.

Uh oh.

Dad's angry.

At something I did.

Not like I didn't already have to deal with Chaos because of this.

"Percy." Triton's voice wavered. "What- Why?"

I looked at him before looking down.

Dad released my wrists before pulling me against him, fingers digging into my arms.

"I caused this didn't I? I'm sorry. I didn't think it would hurt you this much." He mumbled into my hair.

"No." I pulled away from him, only to be pulled into another hug by Triton.

"What?" Dad tilted his head. "Percy, you wouldn't-"

"Just don't. I thought about it before I left. So no it wasn't you. Actually that might be a lie. Like I said I thought-"

I was cut off as Triton covered my mouth. "I don't give a damn about why you did it. You shouldn't have even thought about it. You should have talked to somebody sis."

I almost wanted to correct him with a dam but I figured that would lead to a scolding.

"Would you let me put my shirt on?" I mumbled against his hand.

"Fine." He sighed. And he finally let me put on my shirt.

Which was actually a nice comfortable shirt.

At least Dad didn't give me one-

"I'm pretty sure this is a guys shirt."

"One of mine." Triton confirmed.

Wait. Dad- Then- I give up.

Speaking of whom...he rubbed my back gently.

"I'm here for you Percy. I may have been a horrible father before, but I'm going to try this time. I'm going to try to be a better dad. I promise."

I chuckled.

"What?" Dad questioned me.

I turned and laid against Triton. "Nothing. It's just you literally broke an oath to have no more demigod children. You broke a promise by having me. Which I don't fully understand. I mean sure you're immortal but you tried how hard to get her to marry you?"

Amphitrite laughed. "It's true Poseidon. I knew that you wouldn't be faithful forever but I at least figured you would be after the Oath. Too much to expect I guess."

Dad pulled her into a kiss and Triton shielded my eyes. "We have young eyes here!"

And I covered his in return. "Yeah! Do you want to break Triton?"

"I'm older than you!"

"Physically!"

"Mentally as well!"

I was about to rebuke that but Dad decided to intervene.

"He's right Percy."

Dam it.

"Yep. Totally is even though I share command of an entire elite section of the Army."

"Key word being share." Triton sang.

Shaking my head I pulled away. "That's only when Omega and I are in the same place. Which is rare. But otherwise I have command or Omega has command."

Or Luke.

I swear he'd be a better commander than me. He's got experience, he's older, and I'd get a lot less disbelieving looks.

Cause gods forbid a seventeen year old girl could be anywhere near the level of a man in his twenties...

You know I just realized how odd our relationship must look.

"Plus I've seen hundreds of wars. Not even including the wars down here."

"How exactly does that work I mean-"

Triton snapped his fingers. "What did you mean by you haven't stepped foot on Earth for five thousand years?"

Once again. Dam.

Dad was staring at him. "Uh. What?"

"When I first confronted her about her identity she said that she hasn't stepped foot on Earth for five thousand years. I want to know what she meant by that."

And now Dad is staring at me. Yay.

Note the sarcasm.

Sighing I shook my head. Think Percy think. How can you explain this?

You know. Without telling the truth?

Cause that could lead to them putting some pieces together.

"Chaos sent me back in time so if I ever had to come back I didn't have to reveal my identity without lying about the timeframe."

"Oh. I guess that makes sense."

Wow. Can't believe they fell for that.

How gullible are they?

Although I guess it is possible. I mean Chaos does manipulate the time spheres on a regular basis.

So...maybe.

"So why are you back here? Omega just came back."

I looked down. "She suffered a small mental breakdown and Chaos took her back to Chaon."

"Is it a good idea to-"

"If you even think about finishing that sentence I will gladly remind you that I lead two wars while hiding the fact I was not okay. So it is a perfectly fine idea."

Why do they look so shocked?

"Percy, dear. Exactly how long have you thought about..." She gestured to my arms.

Oh. That might be why.

I shrugged. "Don't really know. Maybe around when Bianca died. Maybe?"

Dad reached out a hand and cupped my face. "You should have said something. If you would have...You could have told me on your birthday Percy. Or even after the war."

"I know." I mumbled. "But sometimes it's just easier not to tell anyone. Cause if you do they'll just pass you off as wanting attention. But then you snap and guess what? Nobody really cares? None of the people you think are your friends. Not your family." A tear trailed down my face.

"I care. I really care. Percy no matter what I will always care."

"If you really cared. You would have noticed."

It's a bit short but I typed literally like all of this on the bus.

So enjoy it.

And I'm gonna try not to die at school.

Bright side two day week.

Down side.

It's five degrees outside.

So anyway...

I had an eye doctor appointment yesterday.

Thankfully didn't have to have my eyes dilated.

But we sat in there for an hour before the doctor came.

I think I confused him.

My eyes did one thing with my glasses and the opposite without them.

He looked so perplexed.

So see yah
