Chad walks into his bedroom and finds his wife sleeping peacefully just minutes after their argument. He leans on the doorframe and watches her, slowly realizing that she has been through a lot and just truly needs to sleep.

He knows that the baby will not sleep through the night for a while so maybe it is best to let her get the sleep now while she still can.

And he is sure that she will cheer up eventually. After a hard labor and a surgery immediately after, he is aware that it must have been rough on her body. She just needs time to reset.

He understands that now after seeing how quickly she fell asleep after her head hit the pillow.

He was bold to assume that she isn't excited about the baby. They have not even been home for an hour yet and he has already picked a fight with his wife.

He needs to calm down and let her adjust to their new life. They all need time to adjust.

He tiptoes into the nursery and peers inside the crib to watch his beautiful daughter sleep.

He loves her. More than he ever thought possible. He has all of the cliche thoughts about fatherhood. He is willing to put his life on the line to protect her. Chad will do whatever it takes to make sure she has everything she could possibly need to have the best life he can give her.

Hope wakes up and cries. Chad quickly scoops the fragile baby up in his muscular arms. He bounces with her slightly as he paces around the room.

Hope looks up at her father with her big blue eyes and smiles softly, small bubbles forming around her mouth.

"Hello little girl. I'm your dad and I promise I am going to take care of you and your mommy forever and ever. You guys are my world."
