Chapter 27. Dreams and reality
I was barely able to sleep that night. I was scared, felt sick and feared for what was going to happen in the near future. What had he planned for me tomorrow? I wanted Sunstreaker back, I wanted to be in his arms again and I wanted to hear him say everything was going to be okay. That he will protect me. I closed my eyes for a moment and fell asleep after being awake for hours. I dreamed about him. "Sunstreaker..." My voice died down while I looked around. It was a wooden area, all I heard was the wind and the waterfall. "Baby," I turned around, facing Sunny. I ran up to him, wrapping my arms around his neck and cried. "I need you," I whispered. Sunny had wrapped his arms around me as well. I smelled him and buried my face in his neck like I had done so many times before. "I need you..." I whispered. Sunstreaker said nothing, he just held me. Tears ran down my face as I looked him in the eyes. "Why did you have to die..." I whispered. Sunstreaker wiped some tears off my face. "Don't cry," he whispered. I buried my face in his firm chest again and held him.
"Come back to me, Sunny. I miss you," I whispered. He shook his head, "I can't..." he murmured. I shook my head. "What am I supposed to do?" I asked. He rubbed my cheek and kissed my head. He nuzzled his nose against mine. "Tell me what to do..." He kissed my forehead again. "I screwed up... they are looking for me. I can't call for help, Sideswipe is dying and you aren't with me anymore..."
"What do you think of this place?" Sunstreaker asked. "It's pretty," I whispered, still holding him. "It is very peaceful and quiet..." he nodded and lifted my chin. "Don't be sad," he murmured. "I am... I messed up. I literally lost everything."
"You didn't."
"Yes, I did. I already died the day you perished."
"You should trust more on yourself then you do now."
"I try, but I am scared."
Sunstreaker pressed his forehead against mine. "I need you, Sunstreaker," he sighed softly. "This is just a dream... you're not real," I whispered. "Is it?" He asked, looking at me. "It is..." I whispered. "It can be real."
"How can this be real? When I wake up, I am alone again with a psychopath that eats humans and believes I am the reincarnated soul of Megatron's daughter."
"Look at me, Skylar. You know what I love about you?" He asked. I shook my head and blinked tears from my eyes. "Your smile. The first time I saw you smile at me, I felt warm, it made me believe that there are good people in this world. People like you always suffer the most because they're pure and that makes people jealous. You're too good for me."
I sucked in a breath. "No, you're perfect," I said quietly. Sunstreaker took me with him and we sat down on a rock, looking over a lake. I looked down at my lap again. "You know... sometimes you need to have faith in yourself and in the future, that everything will be alright," he said, looking at me. "You forget that I don't age anymore. I have your Energon running through my veins. I live so far away from you and I never got the change to tell you I love you."
"I already knew that... I know you love and that's what makes this all even harder," he said, wrapping his arms around my shoulders. "I wanted to be with you for the rest of my life." He flashed me a weak smile and nuzzled his nose with mine again. "me too."
He looked at the lake again. "Are you crying?" I whispered. Sunstreaker huffed arrogantly. "Of course not, I don't cry," sulked quietly. "I miss you too." He looked down at me and flashed me a weak smile. "One day... we will be together again," he said and got up. "Remember this place," he said pointed around him. "Where are you going?" I jumped back on my feet and yanked at his arm. "Don't go."
"I have to go and so do you," he said. I shook my head and hugged him, "please don't go." He kissed the crook of my neck and hugged me tightly. "Don't you dare to leave me."
"Don't be afraid." My body was shaking. "I am."
"You don't have too. I am here, in your spark and no one can take that from you," he said, tapping on my heart area before he started to fade
I woke up in warehouse again and sat up, looking around. I brushed some tears off my face. "Sweetspark!" Dreadraid walked up to me but stopped. "What's the matter with you? Did you had a nightmare?" He asked. I nodded, "yeah, I had a nightmare," I mumbled. Dreadraid sighed and walked up to me, pulling me in a hug. "I shouldn't have left you here for the night," he said and pulled me up. "Tonight you sleep with me," he stated and took me with him. "Forget about your bad dream, we are going out for a trip," he said. "To do what?"
"We are going to kill someone. Actually, you are going to kill someone," he stated. "I am not a killer," I sulked. "We have killed on Cybertron together, remember?" He asked. "Half," I sulked. "Don't be so sad," he snapped. I looked at him and nodded. All I could think about is Sunstreaker.
Dreadraid took me with him but I felt numb. A huge emptiness filled my chest. "Why did you leave the log? Where you kept all the photos of me?" Dreadraid glanced at me with an arched brow. "How do you know about that?" He asked. "I was caught by Whiplash... Sunstreaker's father. He told me about the photos. I assumed he took them honestly." The mech tightened his grip on his steering wheel.
"Wipelash!" He sneered furiously. I looked at him with big eyes. So much hate was coming from him. "I hate that mech!" He shouted and punched his steering wheel. I gulped. "How do you know him?" I whispered. "Because he's my father... I am Sunstreaker's half brother."
My eyes widened in shock and pure disbelief. "Sunstreaker has another brother?" I asked mostly myself. "We are related but I hate him just as much as I hate my father!" He sneered. I looked back at him. "Change of plans, we are going to kill Whiplash!"
