Danny's POV:

It's now January 2013 and we've just begun filming the battles for the voice. The battle stages will be different this year as we'll be able to steal each other's acts! I'm pretty confident that my guys will do well though, seeing as they chose me- haha!

Aoife and I spent Christmas and New Years in Dublin. We've now been together as a couple for 6 months! We visited the family, I visited some kids in hospital and we just had time to chill out and catch up with everyone.

#3 did way better than any of our other albums and the U.K tour will kick off very soon, I can't wait! I love getting to see and meet all of the fans who've helped us so much!

Hall Of Fame and If You Could See Me Now have done extremely well. It was such a shock as IYCSMN is such a personal song for all of us. We also have to perform it live as promo, we all fight back tears every time. I really hope we've done them proud....

So I basically have to juggle The Voice, Promo and touring. That's what comes with fame really 😊 Last night, me, the lads and the team went out for a drink. I decided to stay sober for a change, as I had the voice the next day.

I can't say the same for Mark though, me and Glen had to carry him back to my flat, he was so pissed! Both him and Glen crashed at mine, after coming home at about 1am. I could hear them both snoring away. I don't blame them though, it's only 6am! I didn't have to be at the voice until 9am, but the early starts have surprisingly become a habit of mine!
At that moment, my phone vibrated loudly on the bedside cabinet, notifying me that Aoife sent me a text.

Hey dude! What yez mad bunch up to today? How's Mark's head? Glad that it's not you for a change aye?! 😂👏🏻

I chuckled loudly, someone's in a good mood today it seems. I texted Aoife last night to tell her about Mark's drunken antics haha. I'm sure he'll regret drinking so much!

To: Babes 😍

Hey love! Coaching my team today, I think the guys are gonna chill at mine for a bit, Glen can look after Mark 😂 they still haven't woken up yet! What you up to? Working at Mary's yeah?

I sent the text with a sigh. Aoife had decided to stay in Dublin for a few weeks before coming to stay with me again, as she was extremely busy working at Mary's and she had started a second job at the local sports centre for extra money.

She refused point blank to receive any money from me, plainly stating that she didn't need it. I want to make sure that she's stable financially though. She's very independent and likes to do everything herself. She's also stubborn, like me, stuck in her ways. She wasn't too happy that I had bought her a Pandora bracelet for Christmas, stating that it was "too much". But after some reasoning, she accepted that it was one of the tokens of my love. A few minutes later she replied.

I decided to jump in the shower and got dressed, before putting in my contact lenses and quiffing my hair- God I really need to cut it, it's gone waaayy too long!!! I walked into the living room to see Glen sat on one of the sofas watching tv at a low volume, sipping tea. He grinned when he saw me.

"Dan the maaannn!!!" he exclaimed, "come join me for a cuppa" he raised his mug up enthusiastically, patting the space beside him. "The kettle's just boiled". I nodded, and I walked into the kitchen and poured myself a brew before sitting down on the couch next to him.

"I'm guessing the alcoholic hasn't woken up yet?" I asked, sniggering at how hung over Mark would probably be.

"Not a peep from him, he probably won't get up until after noon" he smirked, before taking another gulp of tea. He then turned to face me, blue eyes piercing into mine. "What time do ye have to be at work?"

"9am but getting up early like this has become quite a habit!" I said, glancing at the big wall clock. It was now 8am. Another hour to kill.

"Ye know, I could give ye a lift if ye like?" He suggested kindly. "Or are the others picking ye up?" By the others, he meant Jessie or Will, who sometimes gave me a lift to the studios. As I was going to answer him, my phone bleeped and I saw that I had a new text from Jess.

"Morning! I'll be passing yours in about 15 mins , wanna lift with me? X

To Jessieeeeee
Hey, that'd be grand! See ye later! 😀 X

"Hey Looks like yer off the hook mate, Jess' giving me a lift" I called into the kitchen, where Glen had gone to deposit our empty mugs.

"Ok no problem dude" he said. We sat watching breakfast tv for a while but were disturbed when we heard a pained shout from the spare room and a thud as he hit the floor.

"Owwwww! My f*cking head!" Mark screamed. We both collasped into giggles, breathlessly gasping for air. A few moments later, a very hung over Mark stumbled into the room.

"You ok dude?" I asked, giggling as he gave me the finger and plonked down beside me, resting his head in his hands.

"Ergggghhhh don't EVER let me drink again!!!" He mumbled, groaning as he tried to nurse his pounding headache. I got up and found some paracetamols and gave them to him with a glass of water.

"Take these, they'll make ye feel better "His glazed brown eyes met mine, nodding at me gratefully.

"Thanks mate" he croaked before gulping the tablets and leaning back against the sofa. Suddenly, the door bell rang- that must be Jess.

"Ok, I'll see ye guys later, I'll be back at about 6pm ish" I said, grappling my Parker jacket and combat boots.

"Ok see you!" They chorused, waving at me mockingly. After pulling my boots on, I stumbled over to the door and there stood Jessie.

"Hey Jess!" I exclaimed, pulling her into a hug "you ok?".

"Yeah I'm thanks Dan, you excited for today?" She asked as we made our way to her car.

"Yup! Can't wait to see our guys again! Have you decided who your gonna put against each other?" I asked nosily.

"C'mon I'm not giving anything away to the opposition!" She grinned teasingly. "Your probably trying to steal my tactics" she added, giggling at my mock daggers.

"Well if your not saying, I won't either" I said pouting, folding my arms across my chest and stamping my feet, which caused both of us to giggle. We sat in comfortable silence for a whilst listening to Radio 2. The motorway was extremely busy and we still had about 30 mins to get to the studios, so it's wasn't a bad thing that we were so early. As we stopped to wait in a queue, Jess turned her head to glance at me.

"Are you ok? You're quieter than usual" she stated, worry clear in her voice. I smiled to myself, she's sweet. We're always in each other's heads so my silence must be a contrast lol. We have always been close but she's been looking out for me a bit more since my fainting spell.

"Yeah, I'm fine. It's not rock o' clock for me yet , I haven't woken up haha" I chuckled, trying to reassure her.

"Hahaa I know what you mean, it's a bit too early for me too" she confessed. "How's Aoife? I haven't heard from her in a while".

"She's great, just very busy at the minute as she's decided to get a second job. To be honest, she hasn't answered me a lot either" I stated, trying to hide my disappointment. We didn't really talk as much now because of work hours so this morning was a nice rarity that we were both free to text. Jessie gave me a sympathetic look, resting her hand on my arm.

"You really miss her, don't you?"

"More than anything. I just wished that we could be together all of the time..."

"I know what you mean" she said, a distant look in her eyes. It was now my turn to be sympathetic, as Jessie's long term boyfriend of 2 years had broken up with her recently. I could tell she was heart broken, even though she disguised it well. But I knew her, and it has hit her hard. Shifting in my seat towards her, she lifted her brimming gaze to meet mine. I took her hand in mine.

"You know, I'm always here, anytime... if you wanna talk about it yeah? Remember, I was in the same boat as you not so long ago" I whispered as her eyes bore into mine.

"Yeah... T-thanks Dan" she smiled, before turning her attention to the clearing traffic jam and we were on our way again.

We arrived at the studios just on time but we both still sprinted inside to avoid the time wasting paps.

"Thanks for the lift Jess! See ye lunch break yeah?" I called as we parted ways to our assigned teams halls.

"No problem, see you!" She grinned, before jogging down the corridor. I took a few moments to cool down before stepping into the hall, where all of the members to my team stood chatting. They all cheered when they saw me walk in.

"Hey guys! Sorry I'm late! Got stuck in traffic!" I explained as I walked over to my desk and picked up my note book with all my notes scribbled on.

Inside, I have already decided who I'm going to pair who with for the battles. The only task I have now is to actually understand my own hand writing! After a while it was time to get cracking! I announced who were in what pairs and the songs they were going to sing, before announcing the first pair I'd be working with today.

" So, the first pair I'll be working with today is Alice and Andrea! You'll be singing People Help The People by Birdy!"

Aoife's POV:

"Aoife!!!! Maize being mean, she pushed me- AGAIN!"

I sighed as I turned to see Lisa running towards me, dragging Maize behind her, both had tears streaming down their faces. I bent down so that I was eye level with them.

"Girls, what did I tell ye about playing nicely?" I asked, wiping their tear stained faces.

"It's not my fault, she wasn't sharing!" Shouted Maize, pointing towards a pink hula hoop that Lida held tightly in her grasp, sniffling. It was the only pink one left.

"What's wrong with the other colours sweetie?" I asked, gesturing to the red, green orange hoops. She turned to face me with a confused look.

"Yucky! I want the pink one! My favourite colour!" She yelled, trying to snatch the hoop off

"Nooooooo! It's mine!" Lisa responded, her eyes tearing up again. I suddenly had an idea.

"Hey Maize, what's your second favourite colour? " I asked, spotting more hoops in the corner.

"Ummm...yellow" she said. I looked around and saw a yellow hoop.

"How's that one for ye?" I asked as I handed it together. Her face lit up with happiness.

"Thanks Aoife!" She cried, before running off to the other side of the hall to play with Lisa. I chuckled at them fondly, shaking my head.

If you hadn't guessed, I've started a second job. I decided to work at the local leisure centre every two days and down at the cafe in between- much to Dan's disagreement. He didn't see why I need more work, but to be honest, I just wanted to try something new.

I loved working with kids, so I usually got the shift to do the sports zone- which meant looking after 20 kids, aged 4-8 for a few hours, arranging activities for them. It's great! The kids are lovely and love the sessions. An easy way to make money really.

It was now 12:30pm so Dan would be on his break from the voice. Glancing around at the kids, I pulled my phone out to text him. Less than 30 seconds later, my phone pinged loudly. Wow! He's a mind reader lol.

From Dan 😚:

Hey babes! Just started me break! How's work? Miss you soooo much xxxxxxxx 😞

Awww, he's so cute! I admit it's hard constantly being away from each other, but he has his career and I have mine. But soon we would see each other again as I was flying back to London for the semis and then the final. I can't wait!

To Dan:

Work's grand yeah! How's the voice? Any good 'uns on ye team? 😏 my little monsters are doing me head in lol 😂 miss you toooooo xxxxxxxxxx

The bell rang in the hall, signalling that the morning session was finished. All of the kids ran towards their parent, laughing happily. Lisa and Maize sprinted past me

"SEE YE AOIFE !!!!"

"Bye guys!" I called after them, laughing. Danny texted me again.

Dan 😘:
Ohhhh nooo lol, c'mon ye love them really 😂 Is it ok for me to call ye? Wanna chat? 😀 xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Wanna chat? Of course I wanna!!! I texted him. Within 2-3 minutes, my mobile rang loudly, I answered immediately and heard his soft Dublin tones.

(Phone convo:
D- Danny
A- Aoife)

D: Hey babes! Long time no speak! He chuckled through the phone. My smile grew bigger with excitement at the sound of his voice.

A: heyyyyyyy!!! I know hahaaa! Where are ye now?

D: I'm in me dressing room doing f*ck all! I'm so bored and I've got another hour til we start again! He exclaimed. I chuckled, as Dan really couldn't sit still for long !

A- Awww c'mon that's not bad! Try babysitting 20 4 year olds for the morning!

D: Jaysus! That many! No wonder they drove ye round the bend! He muttered, a hint of a laugh in his voice. We talked for a while about the voice for a while and it turns out that Dan's got some really good ones. I decided to tease him.

A: so who's your favourite on ye team?

D: c'mon how do ye expect me answer that! I'd be biased! But seriously though, I have my money on either Alice, Karl or Andrea. There's just something about their voices that mesmerise me. He answered excitedly. I grinned at how passionate he was. He really did enjoy working with the guys.

A: that's great Dan! Aww I'm glad ur enjoying it! I said glancing at the wall clock that read 2pm. Shit! My next shift started in 5 minutes! Sorry Dan, I really have to go! My next shift is in 5 minutes! I'll try to talk to ye later, ok? I asked, praying that he'd understand

D: ok no probs babes! Take it easy yeah? And don't over work yourself! And please pick up the phone if ye wanna chat ? Anytime, day or night, ok? He said, worry clear in his voice.

A: ok, I will. Back at ye lol, love you!

D: love you too!

I hung up and ran to the tennis hall, to my relief no one had arrived yet, thank God!

Hey guys! I've actually been updating regularly lol! I'd like to thank you all for the votes and comments, they mean so much to me! Sorry this chapter's a bit boring, it's a filler lol. Also, how fit do the lads look in the picture above? 😍 hot hot HOT lol.

I probably won't update for a while as College starts tomorrow! Erghhh haha 😂😩 and I've got mock exams next week onwards so I'll update when I can! Hope everyone had a great Xmas and holidays and that you'll have a great 2016!
