Feelings Are Poetry

Somehow I can only really write
my best poetry when I'm feeling like shit
so if I'm writing much more than I usually do
you know that I'm struggling.

It's my way of expressing the
feelings I can't say out loud
and I'm calling for help.

It's my way of telling myself how I feel
and pretending that people give a shit
about me when they read my poems.
